Over the next few nights Ace and Graham start to draw up plans with the help of K9. "Remember K9; Tegan cannot know what is going on," Ace reminds the metal dog.
"Got it Mistress." The robotic dog rolls back to where he stays when not on a mission with Ace.
"Ace, do you want to bring in anyone else?" Graham says, rubbing her arm.
"Not right now."
"What about Donna, Shaun, or Rose?"
"We haven't met Shaun or Rose yet."
"Donna?" She shakes her head no. "Why."
"She barely knows Tegan and hasn't heard how John Nathan wishes for his mum to be happy."
"I know that Ace, but I think if we get more help; the quicker the Doctor will get Nyssa."
"Graham, I don't think he will do it."
"Then we need to hatch a plan to get Nyssa back."
"I knew there was a reason I loved you." Ace gets out paper and starts writing down the plan that she made with Graham and K9.
"We get more help; the quicker the Doctor will get Nyssa."
"Graham, I don't think he will do it."
"Then we need to hatch a plan to get Nyssa back."
"I knew there was a reason why I love you." Ace gets out paper and starts writing down plans as there is a knock on the door before it opens. "Must everyone enter my house," she says as Graham reaches for the papers to be safe.
"Well I am basically your sister." Announces Tegan as she gives Graham a weird look. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing?"
"Ace, do you want to see what he is hiding?"
"He's hiding nothing."
"So you're in on it."
"Tegan, would I ever hide anything from you," she bats her eyes at Tegan acting innocent.
"Yes, need I remind you how I found out that you were seeing Graham here."
"Please don't," Graham says.
"You seemed happy then, why not now. Could it be because you are not taking off anyone's clothes?"
"You would think that walking in on Graham and I nearly having sex would teach you not to walk right in."
"Oh come off it Ace, I have been like this with you for over 10 years."
"Since I helped you realize things like the fact you are in love with Nyssa."
"Not you too," Tegan sighs while running her hand over her face.
"Yes me, Tegan. I want you to have what I have."
"Well I can't. I have tried it, but no one can give me what Graham gives you. I am talking about the emotional connection you two have. Not the physical. That is easy."
"Even though it means more if there is an emotional connection," Graham adds, trying to get comfortable sitting on paper.
"I know that, but Nyssa is happy where she's at, that's what matters."
"You two could be even happier together."
"Ace, I am happy."
"Tegan, I know that, but you don't see yourself when you talk about her," Ace gets up and moves to her friend.
"No, but I know how I feel when I do, or when I dream of her."
"Tegan, do you sometimes see her," both women look towards the voice.
"What do you mean?"
"I know it has been a while for you, but when I lost Grace and until after I stopped traveling in the TARDIS, I would see her ghost a lot."
"Except the fact Nyssa is still alive."
"I know, but you love her and she is your first great love."
"Do you still see her," Tegan asks him.
"Last time was the day I met the two of you?"
"What did she say," she asks him.
"You met someone special. We have a few people here that talk her praises," he looks over at Ace while saying that.
"Grace said that. Did she say by who," asks Ace wondering out of who she has lost feel that way.
"No, it wasn't long. Sorry," Graham adds sheepishly.
"But you two still took a few months to admit that you like each other," Tegan points out that face.
"I still was working through it and sought therapy, Ace deserves my full heart."
"I don't mind sharing it with Grace, she was wonderful."
"I know. I am going to let the two of you talk." He gets up trying to hide the papers, as he gets into the room he walks over to his bedside, opens the drawer and moves around a small square box deeper and underneath a few other things. "I can't let her see that box yet." He hears them laughing about something. Sitting on the bed his mind goes to the little box. "While we are planning to get Nyssa back, I have to think about what I have to say."
"Say about what," he turns to find Ace in the doorway.
"Nothing," he shoots her a smile.
"Tegan's right, you're hiding something." Graham moves to her and takes both her hands in his before kissing each of them. "I may be, but it's something that others like Liam know."
"You mean my brother, why does my brother know and not me?"
"I needed his advice on something."
"You could've come to me."
"I know I can come to you about anything and everything, but not this. This needs to be a surprise to you."
"I don't like surprises."
"I know that, but this is something that has to be. I heard you laughing with Tegan, that's good."
"And you're changing the subject."
"I am."
"With you mentioning that, Tegan and I are going to the movies."
"That's great, the two of you haven't done that for ages. Have fun." He smiles at her as she lets out a small laugh and using their clasped hands brings him in for a kiss.
"I love you."
"I love you too." Ace leaves the bedroom and grabs a lightweight jacket before heading out with Tegan.
"Ace."
"Yes Tegan."
"How's A Charitable Earth going?"
"My COO just told me they're leaving."
"Do you know who you want to hire?"
"I don't know, there are a few other things I am working on."
"Like?"
"You have to wait for one of them. You will love it, believe me." Tegan looks at her friend as she pays for the tickets, meanwhile back at home.
"K9."
"Yes Master?"
"Can you keep a secret from Ace?"
"Mistress."
"Yes, Mistress. I want to ask her to marry me, but I don't want her to find the ring."
"Master Graham."
"You don't have to call me master. I don't want to be associated with that Time Lord. Do you think Ace will say yes?"
"Mistress will."
"Thank you K9." Graham gets up and takes out his phone and goes into an app and starts typing out ideas.
