Ryo didn't deserve it, and Dee knew that, but still he was angry at his partner, which was stupid. He'd told JJ often enough, back at the academy, that you can't make someone love you. He'd tried to explain that loving someone didn't mean they had to love you in return, and yet here he was, lusting after Ryo, falling in love with him, and mad at him for not feeling the same way. When had he turned into JJ?
The worst part was that he knew Ryo DID have feelings for him; his partner cared about him and valued their friendship, but that wasn't enough for Dee. Not anymore. Maybe it never had been.
Dee couldn't even say that Ryo was leading him on. Airhead that he was, Ryo had always been oblivious to the effect he had on his partner, and likely had no clue that he was driving Dee to distraction just by existing.
If Dee had to be angry with anyone, it should be himself for wanting things he couldn't have. Ryo had always made it clear that he wasn't interested in anything more than friendship, that he was straight, so why couldn't Dee believe him?
