Welcome back, everyone. Enjoy and review.
The Juicy Bar the Next Day
Arriving at the Juicy Bar the next morning, Lance saw Emma waiting on some customers while Rikki sat with a guy wearing glasses. Walking on over to them, he said: "Hello, Rikki. Who is this you have with you?"
"Lance, this is Lewis McCartney. Lewis, this is Lance Carter."
Nodding his head, Lance said: "Pleased to meet you!"
"Same here!" replied Lewis cheerfully as Lance took a seat. Giving a chuckle, he then said: "How long until someone gets us mixed up? Two guys like us with five letter names that both start with L?"
Lance could only shrug. He'd been called the wrong name in the past, very rarely had the name been the same length and started with the same letter… Though his maternal grandmother calling him by her dog's name, Luddy, had happened, which caused him to say: "Sorry, that shrug was premature. If my nana shows up, it could happen, or she could call either one of us by a different name."
"Or my great-auntie." Uttered Lewis. "So, how are you liking Dolphin City?"
"It's a nice place." Lance answered, scratching the back of his right ear as he spoke. "So, Emma has a job, Cleo has a job, do you two have jobs or not yet?"
"Lewis and I worked as the crew members on a movie that was shot near here." Rikki answered, rest an arm on the table. "Emma and Cleo did too, Cleo even getting to be a double. The movie was 'Poseidon's Daughter'. Have you seen it, Lance?"
Shaking his head, Lance replied: "No, what is it? A remake of that 'Neptune's Daughter' my parents like so much?"
A confused expression upon her countenance, Rikki asked: "What's that?"
Shaking his head, Lance simply answered: "I have no idea, I've never really watched it."
"It's a romance with Brad Passive and Scarlett Belladonna, she plays a mermaid." Explained Rikki, a dreamy look in her eyes. "Oh, I love Brad's movies! They are so great!"
Hearing someone mutter "Yes, Rikki. We know you'd jump into his car.", Lance turned to see Emma arrive at their table. Cocking his head to on side, he took a good look at her and thought back to that storybook version of "The Little Mermaid" he had seen yesterday. Blonde, blue eyes, if her hair was a different style, he'd say the titular mermaid kind of looked like Emma. The blonde girl then asked: "So, guys, what will it be?" Looking at the menu, Lance thought about trying something else than ice tea, but on the other hand that was what he always got. While Rikki and Lewis placed their orders, Lance thought for a moment. Maybe an apple cider? What about a honey and lemon? What for? The only purpose those served was when he had a sore throat. Ultimately Emma asked: "Ice tea again, Lance?"
Sighing, Lance handed Emma his menu and said: "Sure, why not?" First looking at Rikki and then at Lewis, he then made the inquiry of "So, what are the plans for today? Spend the day at the beach? Go to the Oceanic Centre?"
