After Kirk and McCoy extend an unexpected invitation, Spock struggles to communicate his desires, only to find that he has underestimated both his friends and himself. Or: These days, Spock rarely thinks of himself as an alien, but fitting in can still be a challenge. Especially when the needs of the many sometimes seem so incompatible with his own.

You often berate me for my so-called lack of emotions… but when I do express them, it seems it is you who are incapable of bearing it." Another mission goes awry, causing injury to Spock, and Leonard McCoy is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth.

Jim's a prostitute in the srteets of San Francisco. When a client leaves him as a battered mess a stranger picks him up offering him the world; all he has to do is breathe. Sounds pretty good except nothings ever that easy, "What's the catch?" (VERY SLOW PROGRESSION TO SPIRK ROMANCE)

Four months have passed since Spock Prime's James T. Kirk walked out of the Nexus onto New Vulcan. Starfleet is now having to figure out what to do with a second James T. Kirk. It is now time for McCoy and Scotty's bonding. Full summary in story.
