After dinner with the Kents Harry gave the information he had to The Question, and also put him in contact with Lois, when it comes to finding out what was going on those two would stop at nothing, with that sorted he headed to Gringotts as something he had requested, and filled out several hundred forms for including signing so many in blood he had to take a replenisher, had arrived.

Ragnok was conflicted, Director Potter had brought much profit and looked to bring in much more, helping the Justice League was honorable and profitable as many of their craft were now upgrading with Goblin-forged metals which were lighter and more durable than human metals, but this artifact was literally irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind, yes the proper forms had been filled out, in blood, and all the I's were dotted and the T's crossed, but this was older than his race as far as they could tell and was a Nation Royal Treasure.

Ragnok looked up and Harold Potter was there kneeling on one knee, he had been so lost in thought he hadn't even noticed when the Director had arrived, but Harry was silent and patient and did not interrupt his musings, reminding Ragnok why he favored this human so much.

Two hours later a mentally exhausted Harry Potter walked up to the top floor of Gringotts, he had spent that two hours listening to Ragnok tell him in agonizing details just what they would do to him if he so much as scratched the artifact, now all he wanted to do was complete his research as fast as he could and give the damn thing back! he transformed and flew out the window, moving as fast as he could to get outside the wards and apporate up to his lab on the Watchtower.

Harry woke up with several papers stuck to his face by his own drool, not a good look, but so far it was going well, he had found to his surprise that the artifact time turner was unbelievably complex, it had runes inscribed inside runes going down to so small he couldn't read them even with the advanced tech he had. Fortunately the information he needed was within his capability of discovering, he had almost completed the rune sequence but had fallen asleep, any further research was halted when his stomach gave a loud and angry gurgle.

Halfway to the nearest cafeteria an alarm sounded and his communicator indicated he needed to head to the main ops deck for briefing, cursing slightly he cancelled his destination and headed for ops.

All hands were on deck as Jonn Jones called out teams, superman Wonder Woman and the founders were on point, other heros were backup and switch teams, many were crowd control to evacuate civilians, Harry had to ask to be put on CC and explain he was carrying a powerful and very dangerous artifact that Mordu (the cause of the operation) should not get his hands on, he then had to explain he was magically contracted to keep it with him at all times so he couldn't simply leave it behind.

Crowd control was VERY boring, Harry mostly moved civilians to safety or undid magic effects on heros so they could rejoin the fight, Superman fused with Batman and speaking in Wonder Woman's voice was confusing and disturbing.

It was during the quiet time after everyone had been moved away from the battle that Harry noticed Booster Gold, he was a goof and a showboat most of the time, and many in the league thought him a joke, but that changed for Harry, Booster had thought he was alone and was quite patiently helping an old lady to find the subway, his showboating was gone and he spoke to her in calm soothing tones, the old lady who should by all rights be terrified by all the destruction was calm and collected due to Booster and the led her down and put her on the last train to safety, excellent work for a so called goof and screw up.

Harry turned invisible and followed as Booster headed to an explosion at some sort of lab, he wanted to see how this 'goof' would handle it, if he was needed he could drop the invisibility and help but he wanted Booster to have a shot at being a hero for once.

Booster was making bad jokes to his assistant, a small gold robotic flying drone called 'Geetz' or something, even commenting on how pretty damsels were his favorite, but as the woman came round his tone changed and jokes stopped once again he was calm collected and reassuring, the Scientist explained that they were working on something and that it had gone very wrong, she retrieved a device she called a gravity inhibitor and made some adjustments to it, as she worked Booster did the sensible thing and tried to call it in only for Manhunter to be too distracted to listen, the woman a Dr. Simmonds picked up the device and led Booster out of the building.

Good News the problem was easy to spot as a man with a black hole in his chest wasn't exactly low profile, bad news Harry couldn't get near him, the turner around his neck kept pulling him away, it made sense since the gravity would effect time the turner kept itself safe, and worse still Harry couldn't remove it due to the contract.

He was forced to watch as Booster Gold alone got pancaked by a car, then delivered a baby (without throwing up), and finally fought a building animated by a stray spell, once the building had been pulled in Harry watched in horror as Booster gold let himself get sucked halfway in and clasp the device around the man's neck ending the phenomena, in the few seconds he was in his injuries piled up from broken bones to shredded organs Harry began pulling pills from his pouch and was about to help when booster reached into his belt and took a pill, his injuries quickly healed themselves.

After the scientists left and Booster had been dressed down by Batman Harry went to talk to him, but could instantly see something was wrong, Booster was on alert as if waiting for an attack, Harry placed a hand on his shoulder,

"Hey Booster, are you ok-" a loud screech interrupted him as some malformed thing tore it's way out of some sort of rift, followed by it's equally ugly friends.

"Ah right on time, these guys are time scavengers, they feed on the leftover temporal energy that speedsters like the Flash leave behind, if a large enough amount is left they sense it and come to eat, problem is they are messy eaters, they usually eat the energy and anything it has touched such as buildings, people, ect., sorry you got pulled into suspended time with me that's how you can see them, normally they come and go in between fractions of a second and do a lot of damage," Booster explained calmly,

"I take it other heros have been in my situation?" Harry asked,

"Yup pretty much all of them!" Boost exclaimed as he punched one,

Booster went all out, blasting and punching while Harry found his magic worked perfectly when her turned one into a turtle, and used it as a projectile, he then imperio'ed another into attacking it's friends, while blasting the others with confringo, it wasn't a hard fight even though there were a lot.

"Well that was easier than it should have been," Booster commented,

"Sir, temporal shift is ending," Geetz informed him,

Booster turned to Harry, "thanks for the help, you were phenomenal, pity you won't remember it," he said sounding a little depressed as people began to move again and color returned,

"Why would I forget something like that?" Harry asked a little confused,

Booster's jaw dropped, "But, but, how?! leaving the timestream should erase the memory of a non time traveller?"

Harry pulled out the artifact, "I'm thinking because of this,"

"Whoa, a magic based Temporal Controller, cool,"

"Temporal Controller?"

Booster looked embarrassed, "oh uh sorry, I um, I'm not supposed to talk about um, lots of things, and uh.."

Harry shook his head, "Time travel rules yeah? Don't worry, but if you get hurt come see me, keep those pills of yours for real emergencies, I can fix broken bones, torn muscles, and most things so hold on to those curitalls for when you really need them,"

Harry spent several hours back at the watchtower speaking to Booster, eventually they figured out that the reason it had been an easy fight was that Harry was pulled into the suspended timeframe by the artifact and not Booster, that enabled Booster to fight a full power as opposed to half like all the other times when heros had been touching Booster when it happened.

Harry helped Booster a few times over the next day or two while he did his research, making sure to keep plenty of snacks around, as his research came to an end and he was going to hand the artifact back he helped one last time,

"I have a question, why don't you get Flash to help?" Harry asked,

"How could he help? I know he's fast but,"

"Well you said he leaves behind time energy so I would assume his speed is more than simply moving fast, it must have some temporal component for him to leave that sort of energy," Harry explained his reasoning as he walked up to the frozen Flash,

"Well wouldn't he notice the monsters?"

Harry smiled, "Not if he's slowed himself down to normal speed to live his life, which means even if he sees them he won't notice till they are gone,"

Booster looked hopeful, "How do we get him to speed up so he can help?"

Harry smirked and walked up to Flash, "do something he can't ignore," and grabbed his nose,

"WHAD ARE YOU DONG?" Flash slapped a smirking Harry's hand away.
