Bo growled and panted as she ran over to Lauren. Her eyes were flashing brown and blue, respectively. She gritted her teeth when she reached the blonde sprawled out on the ground. "Lauren". She whispered as she lifted her up into her arms. She stared hard at Vivian and Megan as she turned and walked away.
"That's it? That is the powerful little shit we are supposed to be afraid of? Vivian mocked the young Fae.
Bo took one breath and pulled their chi. They dropped to their knees when she deepened her feed. "Lauren is the only reason you are alive. Do not be here when I come back". The Succubus spoke over her shoulder. Lauren felt cold in her arms, so she had to hurry and get her to shelter and hopefully a bed.
"Call the Ash and the Morrigan at once! Vivian choked out.
"And tell them what? That you pushed chi into Lauren, and she collapsed? The Ash will not like this. I don't even want to talk about what the Morrigan will say". Megan shook her head. She knew the woman has a crush on Lauren but did not expect her to act so soon.
"Lauren was faintly ill. Even after taking some of Bo's chi, she was ill. I was only trying to help. We have to get her back from that stupid Succubus". Vivian gritted her teeth.
"Well, she can't be far. Let's go, now". Megan pulled the woman behind her. This is bad. Really bad. One of the conditions of them going with Lauren is that she never be far from their sights. The Morrigan clearly hates Bo. This is not going to be good news for the Dark leader at all.
Bo and Lauren
Bo stood over a sleeping Lauren. She had to do this. Get the woman to an actual bed. "I'm so, so sorry for this". Bo whispered as she walked around the room to make sure the Doctor would have everything she needed to recover. She pulled a key from her pocket and left the building.
She gritted her teeth as she pulled her jacket on. This was not the best way of going about it, but the Doctor is going to rest, whether she thinks she needs to or not.
"You idiots find the doctor, now! The Morrigan screamed as she hung up. "Find the Ash, immediately". She barked as her guards ran out of her office.
In less than half an hour the Ash stood before her. "Evony? What is it now? Hale asked.
"Those two succubitches lost Bo and Lauren. I'm mostly concerned about Lauren, Bo can stay lost". The Morrigan explained.
"How? How did this happen? Damn it! Hale kicked an office chair over.
The Morrigan sighed. "According to Megan, Lauren was tiring out and looked like she was about to pass out. Next thing they knew, Bo was trying to push chi into Lauren from a distance. Lauren verbally admitted she did not want Bo's chi. Then Vivian offered hers, then the Doctor collapsed."
"This is not good Evony. Not good at all. We all know what happens when any threat is made against Lauren". Hale rubbed his chin.
"I've instructed them to find her. But Ash, we must stop sitting on the sidelines. We need to be out there too. Lauren's only request was to be free, and she will be. But those two little shits forgot about her wishes. We must make an appearance and remind them of whom they really work for, us". The Morrigan stood as she gathered a few things.
"Alright. Let me get an entourage together. We will leave after that". Hale shook his head. Lauren was far away from this bullshit and those two Succubus crossed the wrong line. He assumed Bo was still in control since everyone in the colony was still alive.
Once the Dark and Light entourage were all assembled, Trick had been informed what was going on, he insisted on going with them. Naturally, they have to take Kenzi too since she is Bo's human.
Everyone boarded two planes. After Kenzi's brief bout with air sickness, their plane finally took off.
Hale sighed in his private cabin. He had failed Lauren. This all started when he promised to protect her. Now he was not so sure how well off the Doctor is. The story of Bo and the Lich had made the gossip rounds more than once. He slapped his hand on the desk in frustration. Lauren had never deserved the Fae bullshit. She just got caught up in a five year lie and could not do anything about it. Lachlan was a bastard telling her the Ash did it and had him killed before Lauren could do it herself. He swerved around to look out his window and took a deep breath.
The Morrigan's cabin was a little more animated. She was cursing everyone and anyone that she could think of. She had put a lot of thought and expense into sending Lauren away with the two Succubus. Of course, she expected Bo to go after them, but she never expected them to allow the Doctor to tire herself out. Such bullshit. She is a human.
Bo, Megan and Vivian.
Bo rubbed her hands together and faintly smiled. "Now what am I going to do with you? I cannot kill you. But that doesn't mean that I can't have a little fun with you".
"You're insane". Megan struggled in her chains.
"No. I'm protecting Lauren. She will get her rest, and you two cannot get near her. Don't bother trying to push chi into her from here, you won't make it". Bo walked back and forth between them. They had not recovered from her earlier attack to be able to fend themselves from her latest attack.
"She won't harm us. Like she said before, Lauren cares for us. I wonder what she will think of these scars". Vivian mocked Bo.
"I will release you, once you learn never to touch Lauren again. Especially without her permission". Bo snapped as she picked up her pacing pace.
"We are her friends. Something you have never been. Everything with you is about sex. Even when she lost Nadia you were ready to pounce on her. How cold can you be? Vivian seethed.
"Lauren slept in my arms, something that you can't get her to do huh? Bo tapped Vivian's chin. The Succubus growled and tried to bite her hand before she pulled it back.
"We are Light and Dark, this unaligned Succubus won't be able to hold us captive for long". Megan snapped trying to break her chains again.
"I am both. I may be unaligned, but I am the best of both worlds. Lauren still loves me, she just doesn't want to admit it." Bo gritted her teeth. The thought of Vivian touching the blonde made her slap her over and over again until her hand started to turn red.
Lauren. Bo thinks of the doctor as much as she breathes. Their lives are a mess and Bo has nobody to blame but herself. Too many times she spoke to other people about her relationship. Too many times she found herself sleeping with or kissing other people and why? Because she's Bo. When she discovered she was Fae and the Blood King's granddaughter, she settled into her entitled life. Nothing was too good or off limits for her.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. She mumbled internally. Lauren should be her only concern and she will be. She slapped the women once more before leaving them strung up in an abandoned grocery store. The Fae will never think of looking for another Fae in a human store.
She rushed back to Lauren. She sighed in relief when she found the woman was still asleep. She found an old blanket and a seat to try and rest. She stared at Lauren for hours and watched her gently roll over and settle in to sleep again.
"It has to be this way Lauren. You will not rest as you should running around the world with them. I love you." Bo gently cried trying not to make a sound loud enough to wake the doctor.
She turned her head and mentally checked the locks. Nobody was coming for them. But she came halfway around the world to take Lauren home with her. They just cannot go home right now. The Fae would be all up in their faces. The Ash would be barking orders at Lauren. Or he would try. It dawned on Bo that Hale was a pussycat compared to the two Ash before him. Lauren should have been allowed to flee a long time ago. If she wanted too. But Bo knows she stayed for her. Then the Succubus made her regret her decision and Lauren broke up with her.
For all the times she feared her Succubus, she should not have used her as a crutch to beat Lauren's heart with. Did she really need to sleep with Dyson to heal? Did she really need to keep that kiss with Tamsin a secret? No. Lauren had faith in her, and she lost it.
Everything about Bo is in Lauren's hands. It started the moment Lauren said she trusted Bo not to harm her as they slept together for the first time. Nobody else did that. Not even Dyson. He just knew he was Fae, and powerful enough to withstand anything Bo could do to them.
She cared for him, but never loved him. No, those feelings and sense of belonging belongs to the woman sleeping in the bed.
Bo was ready to run again when Kenzi discovered what she had done to the asshole in the elevator. But the minute Lauren touched her back, she knew she was staying a little longer. Now the Doctor was on the run from Bo. She ran so much, she tired herself out. No human can keep going without rest. She cursed the Ash and Morrigan for trusting two stupid shits that did not notice when the Doctor was tired.
Lauren is so disgusted with Bo, she would literally force herself to stay woke twenty-four hours a day to keep Bo away from her. But Bo is here. Right here for Lauren and whatever she will need when she wakes up. Bo just hopes she is on that list of needs.
Her Succubus stirred. She longed to crawl into that bed and break the headboard with Lauren. But she has to contain those urges if Bo is ever going to urge Lauren to give them one last chance.
She only wanted one chance with Lauren. She only needed one chance. Lauren is her choice forever how long the Doctor lives. She felt stupid sitting there thinking up all of this when she should have told the Doctor to her face how she feels. She told her twice that she loves her. But a woman like Lauren deserves to hear it over and over again.
How many times in five years did Lauren tell Nadia that and not hear it back? She had to hold on to love that she never knew for certain was going to wake up.
Bo had been on the run for ten years while the woman she would eventually love sat idle by Nadia's side for five of those. Lauren could have pulled the plug and ran from the Fae. She could be married to someone else by now. She could have run when Lachlan died. She could get up and run right now. But Bo cannot allow that to happen. They need to talk so Bo will not have these one-sided mental conversations and observations.
Bo sighed. As much as they need to talk so they can hopefully reconcile, Lauren needs to rest. She needs to eat. She needs to know that she does not have to do everything herself. Take on everything by herself. The brunette thought about that time Lauren refused to sleep so that she could keep up with the health of the Ash. How shitty is that? The man would not have returned the favor.
The Morrigan screamed and snapped on everyone within earshot once they reached Vivian and Megan. "You had one job! She spun around.
"We…we didn't know Morrigan". Megan spoke softly.
"You were supposed to take care of Lauren. Her every want and need. How could you not know she was getting tired?! Hale screamed.
"We didn't know sir. It seemed to come out of nowhere. You know Lauren. She'll keep going in spite of herself". Vivian stepped forward.
"We have to get her back. She wants nothing to do with Bo and these two idiots let the Succubus run off with her! The Morrigan looked at Hale as she pointed at the two.
"Where did they go? Hale calmly asked.
"That way". Megan pointed.
"I'll get some people looking but you two are off the case". The Morrigan snapped.
"No! You cannot do that! Vivian screamed.
"Don't tell me you've fallen for her? The Morrigan laughed.
Megan shook her head. She pleaded for Vivian to say no. But she did not, and the woman groaned.
"Lauren is our responsibility. You have to let me fix this". Vivian pleaded. She did feel like shit for failing her friend.
"Bo's too powerful. You won't stand a chance, alone". Hale offered.
"Then let me go. Bo will listen to me". Kenzi stepped up.
"Her succubus won't. Sit this one out little one". The Morrigan laughed.
"She's right Kenz. We do not know what state of mind Bo is in. Her Succubus could take over at any given moment. We have to handle this". Hale gently padded Kenzi's back.
"Well get going! Kenzi gestured for someone to do something.
"You heard her! The Morrigan rolled her eyes as her people stood staring.
The sound of feet hitting the pavement was progress. They would find Bo and Lauren soon enough on that small island. They were instructed to show Lauren the world, provided nothing happened to her. Now this and the Dark and Light leaders are furious.
"What do you want to do? Hale sighed.
"I want to snap their necks! The Morrigan screamed.
"Well, we can't replace them. It would not be fair to Lauren. She does not know what has happened. If we push, she will run. She is still too smart and valuable to lose contact with. She knows more about the Fae than anyone else we know. Even Trick". Hale said. The old man had been on the phone since they landed. The Ash is hopeful his contacts will pay off.
Trick rubbed his beard once he hung up and shook his head at Hale. He could not find Bo either. They were starting to wonder if the women were still on the island.
"Check the airport. Make sure they haven't flown away, if they do, we may never find them". Hale ordered his assistant.
The place was a madhouse. The Morrigan was on her phone. Her assistant and guards were on their phones. All looking for two people.
Hale felt like shit. Lauren had been crippled thanks to Nelson's attack. Now she was crippled again being in Bo's presence. The very last place she wants to be.
Bo stood up and placed the blanket over Lauren. The doctor had kicked it off in her sleep more than once. The Succubus thought she might wake up, but she did not. She smiled that Lauren was probably aware that Bo was there. Watching her.
She took her chair again and sighed. It had been hours. Surely Lauren cannot be all that tired. But if she needs to sleep longer, so be it.
But the Succubus was starting to worry because she had not eaten anything yet. She knows a woke Lauren will be an angry Lauren. So, they will fight about their issues before the Doctor even considers eating. The Doctor does not know that she nourishes every part of Bo. Even her Succubus. The rest was just Bo wanting her cake and to be able to eat it too. No. Never again.
"Now or never". Bo stood and tiptoed to the bed. She gently tapped Lauren's shoulder. "Lauren?
The Doctor mumbled something and stopped.
"Lauren. It is me. It's Bo". The Succubus spoke softly and waited for what she knew is coming.
"Bo?! Lauren screamed as she sat up.
"Easy". Bo cooed as she walked back to the bed.
"Where am I? Where are we? Lauren pulled as far away from the woman as she could get.
"You are safe. You are with me. You passed out and I brought you here to rest". Bo explained.
Lauren squinted her eyes as she looked at Bo. Then looked around. The building did not look familiar. She was starting to wonder where they really were.
"Lauren. It's okay". Bo spoke softly. The woman looked lost, angry and afraid at the same time.
"Why am I here? Lauren seethed.
"I told you. You passed out after Vivian gave you some chi. I started it off, and she tried to finish it. You passed out shortly after". Bo walked over with a bottle of water and a sandwich. It was wrapped. Maybe Lauren would trust her enough that she won't think it has been poisoned.
The Doctor did take the water and drank the entire bottle. It gave her time to think. Time to plan her escape. She didn't want to be there. To be the last on Bo's list of priorities again.
"You don't trust me at all do you? Bo asked tearfully.
Lauren sighed. Her silence spoke volumes.
"I wouldn't physically hurt you Lauren, you know that". Bo wiped her eyes.
"I don't know you Bo. You never took our relationship seriously until that one confessional about Dyson. But even then that was all a lie. You forgot that I was your doctor and the only one that had witnessed what you had done to the Lich and to bring Dyson back. I guess they were worth it". Lauren shrugged as she stood gingerly.
"You will stay in this bed Lauren. You obviously slept too long or haven't eaten enough. Either way, you're not going anywhere". Bo gently pushed the Doctor back on the bed.
Lauren felt dizzy but deduced that Bo must be correct. She hasn't eaten in a long time and opened the sandwich to eat it. Bo nodded and ran for the makeshift kitchen. She stopped when she heard windows and doors been broken.
"Lauren! Vivian screamed from the threshold.
"Grab her! Hale screamed. The ground shook from feet running towards Lauren. They stopped when they were forced to.
"Mine". The Succubus laughed as she started her mass chi suck.
"Stop! Lauren screamed.
"I'll stop when you've gotten enough rest and eaten a decent meal". The Succubus looked at Lauren with blue eyes as chi continued to stream into her mouth.
Lauren grabbed her food and started eating as quickly as she could. But it would be futile because she was still sleepy. She would run tests on herself later. But for now the Doctor was trying to save lives.
