DigiDestined: Hikari Yagami
Digimon Partner: Gatomon
Inherited Crest: Hikari has the Crest of Light
Time for a refresher on the duo of light. Hikari is one of the few characters in the series who I feel truly is a embodiment of her crest, in the 01 while she did come in late and probably was a minor plot device, she can figuratively and literally bring the light out in others. And with the short intro done we move on to Gatomon.
Salamon- Salamon is a Rookie level Digimon with a signature move called Puppy Howling that paralyzes the enemy with a super-high pitched bark
Gatomon- Gatomon is a Champion level Digimon with a signature move called Lightning Paw attacks enemies with long claws
Angewomon- Angewomon is a Ultimate level Digimon with a signature move called Heaven's Punishment which is a lightning-charged Celestial Arrow
Ophanimon- Ophanimon is a Mega level Digimon with a signature move called Eden's Javelin that radiates a beam of purifying light
So does anyone remember how 02 nerfs Gatomon by taking away her Tail/Holy Ring well they actually should've taken away her gloves. If you don't know those gloves are made from the same data as a SaberLeomon...who is a Mega level, yeah 02 team solos no doubt even on their worse day..(this is a slight joke). And Angewomon has a move set straight out of Street Fighters of Tekken, of course she has her moves Heaven's Punishment (which turns out Celestial arrow is actually a arrow made of lightning that does holy damage) and Saint Air which can harm enemies, heal allies, and power up her arrow at the same time. But then she has moves called Lift Your Spirits and Divine Kick which I swear sound like fighting game moves.
And then we have Ophanimon who got done dirty by Tri who partially showed up for a Jogress fusion, which is kind of weird since it seemed like Gatomon's Mega is meant to be Magnadramon. Ophanimon is another one of the Celestial Trio which once again makes things unfair for the enemy since this would mean the 02 team has 3 named group Digimon on a single team.
And that's Kari and Gatomon completed, shortest chapter I've done but once again this was a refresher chapter on how strong Hikari and Gatomon can be in the series. Next up will be Ken and Wormmon, Daisuke and Veemon, and then some closing notes.
