It was a quiet day in Seaside Hill as Dry Bowser was doing some golfing, only for his bones to break apart from his skeletal body as he glanced around, wondering what the hell was going on.
"Eh? What is this?" Dry Bowser asked as he was bouncing, namely his skull, looking up to see the clear blue sky turning red and dark.
"Ha! Ha ha ha!" Laughed Mario exclaimed as he was riding in an wooden airship, looking down at Seaside Hill as several more airships appeared behind him. "Didn't expect to see me acting all evil, didn't ya?"
Dry Bowser squinted his eyes as he reformed his skeletal body, pointing at Mario as he growled. "So can you care to tell me why are you bothering to do this?"
"Oh, Master Hand didn't mention it to you?" Mario remarked as he snapped his fingers, causing the airships to fire several cannonballs down at Seaside Hill, "He told us that Chief Chilly wanted more activity in Seaside Hill, so he told us Smashers that we would be paid greatly if we acted like villains. That extended to beyond the actual villains, as you can see!"
"...So I see." Dry Bowser remarked as he cracked his boney hands together, his yellow eyes turning orange. "In that case, I have extra justification to beat your ass!" He then ran up the nearby checkerboard hill to reach the chain sticking out from a nearby airship, breaking through the wooden war machine as he knocked some of the random Mario enemies out, with Mario laughing as he was waiting for Dry Bowser to reach him.
Meanwhile, back at the headquarters, Toadette and Silver The Hedgehog were fighting off several Subspace Emissary enemies, not understanding why they were here, as Arceus didn't mention the entire Smash Bros situation to them. Petey Piranha was chasing after Pit, who shot Petey with his blue arrows as he was flying using his white wings. Petey groaned from every shot the bow did to him, but he kept on flapping his giant green leaves, determined to gobble down the angel.
"Where are these guys coming from?" Toadette asked as she screamed in pain from a Primid giving her a wedgie.
Silver used his psychic to hold back the Kid Icarus enemies, turning his head to Toadette. "I don't know! Probably one of the Smashers, if Petey chasing Pit from Kid Icarus is anything to take notice of!"
Arceus and R.O.B. watched from the rooftop as they turned to each other, watching the miniature war below.
"So am I going to be assigned to fight against the Hillsters, too?" R.O.B. asked as he lowered his metal arms.
Arceus closed his eyes as he slowly nodded his head. "If you chose to. You don't have to fight them."
"...That is good to know." R.O.B. remarked as he watched Toadette and Silver get blasted by a cannon, both of them turning into ash, with Petey being knocked into the ground by Pit, who was using his brawl skills on him.
