Sorry for the lack of updates guys! It can be extremely discouraging how the fandom can be with Ocs. Especially when they are paired with main characters. I think I got my mojo back! So please like and give a comment 3 Id love to hear some words of inspiration!

The fourth day of their training had hit the fan quickly. Alice and Kirishima had gone out on their own to do a quick lap around the block while Fat Gum finished up his paperwork. The sound of screaming filled the air and the pair had ran towards the action. A middle ranking Nomu was terrorizing a group of civilians. Kirishima had stopped the girl from getting to close. "We need to contact Fat Gum, right away." He said in a low voice, to keep them from being spotted. "The fact there is a Nomu here could mean trouble is brewing." The large creature had multiple arms sticking out from its back and a long black tail whipped black sludge across the concrete. "We will have to keep it occupied until he gets here." They ducked down behind one of the buildings to gather themselves. The Nomu was easily throwing people away from it. A few civilians were trying to keep it at bay.
Kirishima relayed the message before he barreled out from the building. "Hey! Ugly! Over here!" He called out to the Nomu and chucked a good chunk of rock towards it, which caused the creature to drop it's prey and turn its attention towards the redhead. Alice went along behind it, helping the guy to his feet once he had hit the pavement. She kept her eyes on the Nomu, ushering people away from the action. They had to keep it from attacking any more people until Fat gum got there. She could hear the male talking over their coms about being careful and he was on his way.
Chess took form on his master's back as usual, all four paws ready to fight. Alice got behind the Nomu and shot out a clawed hand as it swung at Kirishima. She was able to restrain it long enough for the male to roll out of the way as its fist hit the ground, cracking the concrete below. She grabbed at one of it's legs, pulling it out from under the creature as it tried to turn to get the paws off it it. It's tail shot out at her and she was able to dodge last minute, but lost her hold. Kirishima made a beeline over to her, putting himself between Alice and the Nomu as it truggled to it's feet. "You okay?" He looked behind her, his quirk activated as a shield.
"Yeah. Im fine, but that sludge is oil. I can smell it from here." Alice withdrew the paws and they hovered around her shoulders to protect her face. "We gotta be careful, if he hits any of those lights and the oil ignites, we will have more problems on our hands."
Kirishima nodded, "Okay. Any ideas how to approach this?" He watched the Nomu turn its attention to them, his head was similar to that of a reptile, its mouth filled with sharp needle-like teeth. It's tail lashed around behind it and a low growl filled it's throat.
"Keep him away from me." She said firmly and danced back a few steps. Alice held out her hands, the cat forming into its usual scythe. She held it over her shoulder, her gaze glued on the Nomu as it dropped onto it's main arms. The creature let out a strangled roar and launched itself at them. Kirishima braced himself for the attack.
Alice had said to keep it away from her, so that's what he'd do, but the attack never came. Alice threw her weapon hard, the shadow-material whizzing through the air. It was always surprising just how sharp a small cat could be. Kirishima looked up as three of the additional arms slid from the creature's back, hitting the ground with a loud splat. The cat transformed behind the Nomu, dropping to the ground and sprinting towards it's owner while the enemy roared in pain.
It rushed them now, throwing itself at Kirishima. The male was able to hold it at bay- its fists connecting with the male's hands. He held it at arms length long enough for Alice to return with Chess. He shoved it back, causing the creature to stumble. It crashed onto it's back, roaring in frustration.
Alice was beside Kirishima in an instant, paws readied for the next attack. He braced himself again, narrowing his eyes as the Nomu slowly got to it's feet. It braced itself on the car next to it, it's head shaking back and forth to right itself again. Kirishima's gaze locked on the car, the Nomu's knuckles tightened on the mental, causing it to buckle. "He's gonna throw it." The male whispered loud enough for the girl to hear, the anxiety present in his voice. Alice snapped her head to him as the Nomu hiked the car up, throwing it in their direction.
The next few seconds felt like ages. Alice stepped in front of Kirishima and the male wrapped his arms around her waist to hold her in place. The metal mess flew at them, the four shadow-like paws came up, grabbing the metal mid air. Alice kept her cool and braced herself against the recoil. With Kirishima at her back, they didnt move very far and Alice tossed the metal down next to them- the weight of the car causing the pavement to buckle. "Is that all you got Asshole!" She called out as Kirishima put her down, the widest grin on his face.
The Nomu stood across the road, staring at them. Its tail lashed back and forth lazily. It snorted and dropped down onto all fours again, roaring in their direction. Alice readied her paws again, her gaze locked on the creature. They had kept themselves between where the civilians had escaped and the Nomu, playing a distraction until Fat Gum was able to get there.
Luckily, they didnt have to wait for long. The male came barreling out from an alley, stumbling to a stop a few meters away from his students. "You guys alright?" He called out, accessing the situation quickly. Neither student were hurt, maybe a few cuts and bruises from the fight, but over all they were both fine. The Nomu was in worse shape, which caused the male's brows to raise. It was obviously missing 3 out of 6 arms and had multiple cuts across its chest and shoulders from flying debris.
"Yeah," Alice and Kirishima slipped over to the male, readying themselves to continue the fight. They both looked ready to keep going and a swell of pride fluttered in his chest. He was glad that he made the right call with these two.
"The police are on their way. Do you think you can get it to stay in one place, Lucid?" Fat Gum smirked. The Nomu was big enough that he wouldnt be able to restrain it, but Alice would.
Alice looked at the male and nodded slowly, "Yeah. I think I can, but it'll make me defenseless." She held out her arm and Chess appeared on it, but instead of the little cat they knew- he had taken the form of a large snake, coiling about her arm.
Kirishima gave her a thumbs up and stepped in front of her, punching his fist into his other hand. "I got your back, trust me." He grinned.
Chess shot out, mouth open and fangs bared and ready to fight. Fat Gum stepped forward, "Hey! Asshole! Look at me!" He waved his arms to get the creature's attention, but it new better. The cat had proved to be more of a threat than this random guy who showed up. Fat Gum had hoped for that and rushed the creature, swinging his fist as he did. The Nomu looked away from Chess for just a moment, long enough for the snake to coil around his legs and up his back, taking over the creature from the ground up. It struggled, using a free hand to catch Fat Gum's hand with it's own, but that is what he wanted. He wanted to get this over with, fast.
Kirishima glanced back at Alice, who was breathing heavily. Chess was able to move on his own and attack on his own- but he used her as a stamina battery. The constant shifting and attacking left her open to attack, but also gave him the ability to not hold back against his opponent. She nodded to the male and turned her attention back to the Nomu, "We wont be able to restrain that arm. We'll need to either rip it or cut it off." She said under her breath, her voice coming out small.
"Got it." Kirishima ran over to the crunched car and pulled one of the door panel's off. He was able to get a piece of the metal and made a beeline to Fat Gum and the Nomu. Fat gum pulled the creature's arm back just as the metal sliced through the thick skin.
This was not on their list of things to do today, but they handled it well. "You doing okay?" Kirishima had headed back to Alice to check on her as the Police began to arrive. The girl was technically still fighting against the Nomu, who was on the ground struggling against Chess. She sunk to her knees and took a deep breath, her gaze not leaving the withering mass of shadow and flesh.
"Yeah... Tired." She was finally able to relax once the Police had a hold of the Nomu. Chess shifted and returned to Alice, meowing softly as he flopped against her knees. "It takes a lot off energy for him to fight on his own. Throwing him as a weapon is extremely different than letting him do what he wants." She stood shakily and picked up Chess, leaning on Kirishima who put an arm around her shoulder.
Medics looked them over and Fat Gum gave them the go ahead to go back to the Agency once they had given their statements. He was incredibly proud of the pair. Both had done exactly what they needed to do with no casualties. "You've got a good pair on your team," The chief of police approached the hero as he watched his students go.
"You're telling me." Fat Gum laughed. "I took that girl in on a whim. Im glad I did." He glanced a the male, a faint smile on his lips.
"The Shadow Quirk girl?" The dog rose his brows, watching them go as well. "Ah, isnt she the one Orca sent in the application for?"
"Yeah. She failed her last exam and was put on a probation due to being an exchange student. I took her in because her mother is Rising Sun. If she had her mother's fire. She could easily make it into the top 10 with the right training. I couldnt even imagine that she's got more fire than the Sun." Fat Gum gave the male a smile. They chatted for a bit longer before Fat Gum was able to go back to the Agency.
His medic was releasing the pair back to their rooms when he arrived. "Hey! Lucid, Riot- I wanna say good job today, Im proud of both of you." He commented lightly. Both kids stopped and looked up at the male with tired, but excited gazes. "You did fantastic on distracting that Nomu. You made some amazing choices." Fat Gum gave them both a smile. "With that, you went above and beyond today, Lucidity. Ill be putting in your recommendation to Nezu for your license tonight. You know how to think on your feet and use your resources under pressure. There were multiple accounts from people who watched you catch a car mid air." He snorted. "Thats impressive. Dont lose that determination."
Alice seemed to brighten up more at that, she couldnt keep from smiling. "I couldnt have done it without Kirishima. Really. He read my mind without me having to say anything."
Kirishima rubbed the back of his head, his cheeks flushed. "Not gonna lie. I guessed. We didnt have time to escape, so the next thing we could do is catch it."
"You both put your trust in each other. That is what being a Hero is about, even if that hero is just field support." Fat Gum gave the girl a wink. He knew Alice needed the confidence to succeed. She would be a great hero, no matter if she stayed on field support or went off to her own agency. She needed someone to back her up. Someone who wasnt one of her peers. The pair headed off to bed. The next day was the last day before Alice switched over to Endeavors agency. Fat Gum hoped that the hero would give her the support she needed to succeed. Alice didnt just need training to hone her skills, she needed the confidence to push past her limit.
