Bakugo and Kirishima were sitting in the main room when the girl's came downstairs. Even Ida looked up at the girl with raised brows once they came out of the elevator. Alice's entire face had turned red down to her chest. She avoided wearing regular clothes due to anxiety, but this was... different? She couldnt explain it.
"Oh. Alice you look great!" Kirishima looked the girl over, his brows raised. Bakugo glanced over and blinked in surprise as well. He didnt expect the girl to be in a dress of all things. "Are you doing the Beauty contest?" Kirishima piped in.
"Sadly." Alice grumbled, which got an elbow from Mina. "I mean, Yes! I am- Mina and Uraraka think itll be a good idea for me to introduce myself at the festival." She said, her face turning a darker once she realized just how many people were in the main room. "Im down here because I dont know how to sew anything and someone is an asshole and suggested Bakugo might." She hissed the words at Mina, who just smiled in response.
Kirishima nodded knowingly at Mina before he looked at Bakugo expectantly. "Fuck, so just because my old hag of a mother is a fashion designer. You think that I know how to sew?" He looked Alice over slowly. The dress suited her in a way, but she looked uncomfortable. The male let out a loud sigh of defeat. "I know a little. Drop it by my room and Ill fix it up." He grumbled, which only made Kirishima and Mina grin like idiots. He'd never live this down.
"So they made you choose?" Bakugo glanced up at Alice as she leaned in his doorway. The girl was in her gym clothes and had stopped by before she went to work out. "Why didnt you just do the musical performance?"
Alice rolled her eyes and wandered over to his bed, sitting on the edge as the male hemmed her dress. "Because Im not an in your face type of person and like hell will I be dancing on stage." She rolled her eyes and flopped onto her back, staring at the ceiling with an irritated expression. "So they made a choice, the singing contest or the beauty contest. I didnt want to do either, but Mina said that wasnt an option."
Bakugo snorted, "You are too much of a push over." He commented, glancing up at her again. When it was just the pair of them- Alice was a lot more vocal. Mina and Kirishima's headstrong attitude made the girl shy to speak her mind. "Just beat the shit out of them next time. "
"No, violence is not always the answer."
"Tsh, it works for me."
"Well Im not you." Alice grumbled crossed her arms, staring at the ceiling with a blank look on her face. This was the first time she'd been in Bakugo's room since she got here. It was a lot neater than she thought it'd be and the faint smell of Nitroglycerin hung in the air. It was a bitter smell, but not really bad. It reminded her of when her aunt would forget the caramel on the stove and accidentally burn it.
"Truthfully, I dont mind singing. Its being in front of people that's the problem."
Bakugo glanced up and rose his brows, she didnt seem like the type. "Huh, I didnt realize you even were a musical type." He smirked and she sat up to glare at him.
"Because I listen to my music at a respectful volume." Alice snapped back, sticking her tongue out at him. "I didnt know you could play the drums."
"Tsh, you act like your surprised. I learned a few years ago. It reminds me a lot of my own quirk. The loud explosions and shit." Bakugo bit the thread and threw her dress at her. Alice caught it lazily and folded it in her lap.
"Oh. That's true. I can somewhat play the drums, but keyboard is where it's at. You can get so many different notes and sounds that its like several instruments in one." Alice mimicked playing a keyboard in front of her.
"Kinda like your creepy cat." Bakugo laughed as he put his kit away in his desk before he turned to look at the girl sitting on his bed. Kirishima was quick to tease him when the girl's had went back up stairs, but he hadnt minded. It irritated him that Shitty hair was constantly up his ass about dating the girl, but the male wasnt entirely wrong. That's what pissed him off. "So what type of music do you listen to?"
"Everything. Im a sucker for a good vocal, but a lot of it boils down to how I feel about the music. Im not a fan of mainstream pop, but there are some songs that are really good." Alice leaned back on her hands, a small frown on her lips as she looked him over. "Im totally guessing metal for you."
Bakugo just scoffed, "Because it's loud and scream-y?" He asked, wrinkling his nose. "I have more class than that. Im more of a fan of Rock, but you have a point. If it has good vocals, dont complain about the genre."
"So funny enough, Chess likes a lot of metal." The girl leaned forward to look under Bakugo's bed and the cat crept out. He stretched and promptly wandered over to the male to roughly rub his face against Bakugo's leg.
"That's fucking weird." Bakugo snorted, a faint grin appeared on his lips and he reached down to scratch the cat behind the ear. "How can a cat like music?"
"Everyone forgets he's my quirk." Alice mused faintly. "He has his own personality, kinda, but he's technically a part of me."
"So you're technically an asshole?" Bakugo rose his brows and picked the cat up, sitting back with Chess in his lap.
Alice wrinkled her nose and everything went back to the cat leaving "surprises" in her bed, backpack, and pretty much everywhere she didnt want to find food. He had a habit of holding onto food for unreasonable amounts of time. "You have a point."
"You are completely fine. I thought you were going to miss out." Mirio mused and took Eri from Alice as the pair went to their spots. "Why arent you on stage dancing?"
"Because I full out refused to do any of the festival until they let me skip out on the dancing." Alice scratched under Chess's chin. "Im learning to cope with my social anxiety, me dancing will not help it. Ill make a fool of myself." She mused faintly.
Mirio just laughed, "Are you doing the beauty contest, Ms. Alice?" Eri gasped softly, her red gaze sparkling with excitement at Mirio's question.
"Yes, I am. Im extremely nervous," Alice laughed awkwardly. "But I promised Eri that I would do the beauty contest." She reached up to tuck the small girl's hair behind her ear, a warm smile on her lips.
Mirio smiled down to Alice. Deku had only good things to say about her. She was extremely friendly and had already gained a good rapport with Eri. He didnt know much about her strength or her quirk, but with the way that Deku spoke about her. He didnt doubt she had some fire behind her. The pair stood idly chatting until the class got ready on stage. The excitement of the group on stage had really riled Eri up and she had broke out into the most excited scream of happiness when the snow rained from the ceiling. Alice was also impressed- they had went above and beyond to really put everything they were feeling into this song. Between Uraraka pulling people into the mess of confetti and snow and Jiro's singing- they really went all out. Alice felt her chest tighten. She sort of regretted not being apart of the action.
The girl slipped away from the pair just after the song ended and wound her way around to the back of the stage. Alice was more than excited to see her friends and congratulate them on such a wonderful performance. She knew she would have just a bit of time before they went over to Class 1-Bs theater performance. Bakugo was the first person off stage, he didnt stick around after the song ended because of everyone screaming. The male spotted Alice and a scowl crossed his face, "Did you even fucking LIST-" He was ready to yell at her, how DARE she not see them preform, but ended up having to catch the girl as she threw her arms around his neck.
"THAT WAS FANTASTIC." Alice had to keep herself from yelling too loud. She had been absolutely in LOVE with the song itself, even moreso that her friends had been the ones to preform it. She bounced in place after a rather flustered Bakugo put her back on her feet. He blinked in surprise as she continued to babble. When did she get this comfortable with him? "So I totally didnt know how it was gonna go after the lights dropped and you just sort of yelled, "Begin." I was really impressed. You guys were amazing."
Bakugo stood dumbfounded. He had gotten extremely irritated and the girl had literally just poof- made it disappear. She had this way of throwing his anger on it's head. Her attitude was contagious. "Thanks." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, his cheeks turning a faint red at the girl's compliments. "You're damn right we were amazing." He pulled himself back out of that weird embarrassment. He was suppose to be the next number one. He couldnt let one girl fluster him.
"Bakugo! Come back on stage!" Kirishima poked his head out through the curtains and grabbed the male's arm, dragging him back on stage. Bakugo was kicking and screaming as they went on for the encore, his mind still on the girl backstage. Did she really just... Fluster him?
