Ch. 61: Hadena muryō no subete part 1
The scene shifts at UA Academy, where the school announces that a new wave of Hero Work Studies is on the way, hence several UA Academy students are excited and looking forward to another round of work studies as this would mean doing hero work and fight off villains, as they did nothing else but study academically and training their Quirks.
"Oh wow!"
"Work studies!"
"Finally!"
"We get to do some hero work!"
"And kick some villains!"
"I'm gonna be on the spotlight!"
"Me too!"
"Ha-ha!"
At Class 1-A, the students are looking forward to the upcoming work studies as they are quite excited to do hero work even though they are merely sidekicks and that it is still part of the curriculum of UA Academy, yet they didn't mind it as they are still waiting for the go-signal on when they would go meet you with the pro heroes who would intern them.
However, they soon received word that a few select pro heroes would be out of Japan on a World Mission, and there Present Mic came and made the announcement on which pro hero would be selected to do the world mission and which UA students would go with them, where the list is revealed via a projector, showing the selected pro heroes and students involved:

- Togaru Kamakiri, Sen Kaibara and Kosei Tsuburaba team up.
- Juzo Honenuki and Yui Kodai team up.
- Itsuka Kendo and Reiko Yanagi team up.
Izuku Midoriya, Yuga Aoyama and Mina Ashido blinked their eyes as they find out that their names were excluded, hence they won't be able to participate in the upcoming work studies, which the three classmates were in a state of disbelief that they were left out, though Present Mic assured to them that the principal would work something out.
"Don't feel bad. I'm sure the principal would work something out. So chill."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"So relax and don't get bummed."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
After that Present Mic left, and there the rest of Class 1-A approached Midoriya, Aoyama, and Ashido, comforting them and assured to them that the principal would work something out, as they couldn't believe that their three classmates were left out while the rest would be involved in a world mission and yet the trio would remain here in Japan with nothing to do.
"Cheer up."
"Its not the end."
"I'm sure the principal would work something out."
"Yeah, we're sure of it."
"So don't get depressed."
"You'll get to participate soon."
"That's right."
"So be patient."
Suddenly, Neito Monoma showed up and started to mock Midoriya, Aoyama and Ashido for being left out, saying that they are being overlooked due to the heroes believing that they do not contribute to the upcoming world mission hence they got excluded, and while Midoriya kept his cool, Uraraka, Bakugo and Kirishima did not appreciate it and berated Monoma, telling him that he too got excluded, causing Monoma to stop on his tracks as he too realized that he is also not part of the upcoming world mission.
"So look who's talking, you COPYCAT…"
"You also got excluded!"
"So stop acting unmanly and behave yourself!"
"Eeep…"
"Perhaps the pro heroes saw you as whining idiot!"
"And maybe they felt that you're like a chameleon…"
"So stop acting high and mighty and stop mocking our classmates!"
"…"
By then Shota Aizawa came and sternly told Monoma to head back to his classroom which the student nodded as he is still in denial that he got excluded, and there Iida and Yaoyorozu asked Aizawa what could they do for Midoriya, Aoyama and Ashido as they would be left out and might have nothing to do as they would be the only ones here at UA Academy whilst the rest of the students would be out of the country.
Aizawa said that he would talk to the principal about it and assured to the students that their three classmates would be accommodated and not left out, and there he told everyone that classes are about to resume, which everyone nodded in acknowledgement.
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."

A few days later, the UA students are seen heading towards the departure gate of the airport as they are going with their assigned pro heroes, and there several people, some who are departing and arriving, got a glimpse of the various pro heroes and the several UA Academy students, and they were at awe at seeing them in the flesh, and commented that the pro heroes looked imposing, like Endeavor, while some looked cool, like Hawks and Ryukyu.
"Look at that…"
"That's Endeavor…?"
"The current number one pro hero?"
"He looks scary…"
"I feel intimidated…"
"Is he cool…?"
"Think we could ask for his autograph…?"
"You idiot…"
At the departure gate, Bakugo whispered to Todoroki and asked why Midoriya is not invited to the upcoming world mission, which Todoroki admitted that he too is baffled on why Midoriya was excluded, and he tried asking Endeavor why but the current number one hero said that both Bakugo and Todoroki would be enough for the upcoming mission.
Bakugo wasn't convinced, yet Todoroki said that both Ashido and Aoyama were also excluded yet he wondered why they and Midoriya are left out, which Bakugo also finds it baffling as he wondered if Midoriya, Aoyama and Ashido would be able to have work studies since almost all the top pro heroes are involved in the upcoming world mission.
"Do you think there's a reason why your pops left Deku out?"
"Can't be certain…"
"Really…?"
"He wouldn't give me a direct answer."
"…"
"Perhaps there's something about…"
"…so he felt that it'd be better if Deku, Pinky and Aoyama to stay here as reserves…?"
"That's my only guess…"
By then Todoroki brought out the fact that on Ryukyu's side, Nejire Hado was the only third year student who is excluded for the world mission, and this made him and Bakugo wonder what made Ryukyu decided to leave her out and only brought Uraraka and Asui with her, knowing that Hado is crucial in all of Ryukyu's missions since the work studies began.
"So Hado-senpai is also being considered as a reserve…?"
"Can't say for sure…"
"Just what the heck is going on here?"
"Don't know…but I have a bad feeling about this."
"Hmph. Whatever."
"…"
"Let's hope things would go well here and abroad…"
"…"

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at The Ninja Village, or what's left of it, which was a secret institution located deep in the mountains of an unspecified place somewhere within Japan, inaccessible to ordinary people thanks to the barrier the founder put in place around it. Its sole purpose was the training of highly skilled ninja assassins. It is the hometown of certain individuals, which includes Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, Flashy Flash, Hellfire Flame, and Gale Wind. According to Flashy Flash, the village consisted of only males. It was modelled on a mysterious cube.
Ninjas who graduated from the village possess extreme levels of speed and are highly skilled in both martial arts and swordsmanship.
The ninja village was a horrible and utterly despicable place. Children under the age of seven were sent there to train for 10 years, doing nothing but sharpening their assassination skills under extremely ruthless conditions. They were then sold off to factories of the underworld. Escape from the village is virtually impossible, and ninjas may only leave when they complete the curriculum and obtain permission to graduate.
A day in the ninja village was 72 hours, with only 6 for sleep. The food was tasteless, and any information from the outside world was completely cut off. Any kind of emotions were not allowed to be expressed, and those who shed their emotions gained excellent ratings. Additionally, companionship and a sense of brotherhood among the classes was not allowed; even talking to others was prohibited. Instructors went so far as to say that if they ever crossed paths in the future after graduating, it was kill or be killed. Flashy Flash described it as a hellish environment. Despite this, many of the ninjas resent Flashy Flash for destroying the village, showing that they still respect it.
The training regimen was extremely arduous. The ninjas were separated into five classes of training based on their skills. Class One was reserved for the most powerful ninjas, and people in this class received the most lenient training, while ninjas in Class Five, the class for the weakest ones, receive the harshest training to boost up their strength.
Hellfire Flame and Gale Wind are the graduates of the 37th class, Golden, and were among the top of that class, while Sonic and Flashy Flash are the sole survivors of the 44th class, with Flash being the No. 1 of the class. Flashy Flash is responsible for the deaths of the 44th Graduation Class and the rest of the entire village, known as The End, and all the ninjas of previous graduating classes regard him as a criminal. The 44th class was rumored to have been failed products because of mistakes made during the training process according to Gale Wind, a fact further enforced by Sonic.
Nearby, a group is seen assembling and are now planning something as they appeared to be fixated on someone, where the picture of the pro hero, Flashy Flash, is shown, and this group appeared to display and shared an intense hatred towards Flashy Flash and they all seemingly have something in common: the death of Flashy Flash. This group are then identified as The Heavenly Ninja Party.
The Heavenly Ninja Party is a group of ninja composed of twenty-one graduates from the Ninja Village, all of whom came from different classes.
The Heavenly Ninja Party was comprised of twenty-one ninjas from the village. Despite the instructors of the village telling the ninjas that any kind of brotherly bond is prohibited, and that if they were to encounter each other post-graduation, they were to kill each other, the ninjas of different graduating classes decided to band together, defying those previous orders.
The Heavenly Ninja Party was formed due to these ninjas sharing similar beliefs to form an elite assassination squad specializing in combat from generations of graduating classes.
Their main goal was to kill Flashy Flash, who they all hated due to him destroying the village. Once this was done, they planned to go out of hiding and take over the world with their superior ninjutsu skills as well as to find a suitable leader to lead them in taking over Japan. The scene shows the members of the Heavenly Ninja Party, which includes:
- Brute Force Force
- Darkness Dark
- Tuneful Melody
- Equilibrium Balance
- Firmament Sky
- Hue Color
- Devastative Destroy
- Brawny Muscle
- Rumbling Thunder
- Instant Moment
- Crazy Mad
- Multicolored Rainbow
- Frozen Ice
- Ammo Bullet
- Shrieking Scream
- Disorderly Chaos
- Murderous Slaughter
- Vibrating Tremor
- Illusory Phantom
There the members gathered and said that they managed to contact Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, who seemingly agreed to their terms on how to lure Flashy Flash onto a trap, and there they can take care of the rest, and there the one leading the Heavenly Ninja Party appeared, and told everyone that they are going to stick to the plan so as to kill Flashy Flash, which they all agreed.
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
However, one of the Heavenly Ninja Party member stepped forward and showed them a recorded footage of Izuku Midoriya, where he is seen using Full Cowling while hovering in the air, where he is seen battling Gentle Criminal, and the Heavenly Ninja Party member said that while not quite on the level of the ninjutsu, he said that if managed to persuade, Midoriya might make a good addition to the group, which the others appeared to be intrigued.
"That brat…?"
"He doesn't look an ideal…"
"But he does move fast…"
"But it's not ninjutsu-related…"
"Can he really…?"
"You think he can be of use…?"
"Hmm…"
"I wonder…?"
However, others displayed skepticism as they pointed out that they happened to see footage of Midoriya's performance at the UA Academy Sports Festival where Midoriya injured himself when using his Quirk and thus he would only be a liability instead of an asset, but the one who is the second-in-command of the group said that this would be a double-edged sword, and suggested that they try enticing Midoriya to join the Heavenly Ninja Party, but if he outright refuses then the younger boy must be slain at all costs, which the other Heavenly Ninja Party members nodded in agreement.
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay."
To Be Continued...
Hope you liked this chapter, as things got a FLASHY start (pardon the pun), as this serve as an introductory part where things would get a bit intense as the antagonists of this arc feature ninjas…
Well, this is the first time that I use ninja-related characters even though I did brought in Speed-o'-Sound Sonic several chapters ago, and the antagonists of this arc are BORROWED from the One Punch Man manga, which they are the main antagonists in the current story arc, the Ninjas arc (starting in chapter 193).
In that arc, the Heavenly Ninja Party are targeting Flashy Flash due to him being a ninja and that he turned into a pro hero instead of an assassin hence the villains chose to target him and this had Speed-o'Sound Sonic get tangled in.
Also this is the first time in several chapters which Midoriya is featured in a story arc, and given that he fought Speed-o'Sound Sonic several chapters ago, I thought that he would make a good fit in this story arc and thus he too is under the Heavenly Ninja Party's radar due to perceiving that Midoriya has a potential to become a ninja assassin, or a threat to their agendas.
And given that this arc involves FLASHY, I decided to have Ashido and Aoyama, as well as Monoma, brought in since they have the tendency to get FLASHY in their own way. And while Flashy Flash is only mentioned, he will appear in the next chapter and that's where the conflict of this arc would commence.
Preview:
The next chapter commences the conflict as Midoriya, Aoyama, Ashido and Monoma would be given a chance to do some work studies under a pro hero they never expect…
At the same time Flashy Flash surfaces and that's where things take a FLASHY turn…
See you next month…
