Regina travels to New York to give Emma back her memories and return her to Storybrooke. When no one can remember what happened and everything seems quiet, the Swan-Mills family settles into domesticity. But it's short-lived as Regina is strangely reluctant to talk about her past year in the Enchanted Forest, and Henry makes a dangerous new friend. Eventual Swan Queen.

One shot. Takes place right after Emma runs away from everyone in episode 4x07, after blasting a hole in the Sheriff's station. Emma has pushed everyone away in fear of hurting them, but Killian knows that's the last thing Emma needs. The best way to save Emma from becoming another Snow Queen is to heat things up and melt away the last of the ice.

Her feet beat against the dirt as she ran, her heart pounding an erratic rhythm in her chest. She felt like she might throw up from the energy that she was exerting but she didn't care. Only one thing was on her mind: Killian.
