Peggy was in awe and amazement as she looked over her husband. Steve is wearing a navy-blue paratrooper-utilitarian-style uniform with muted red/white stripes on his chest, with a white star in the center between the stripes, a bullet-proof helmet in navy blue as well, with a muted white wings motif on the helmet, muted red combat gloves of extra grip, a dark brown utility belt, a dark brown gun holster, waiting for Steve to be commissioned a handgun, and a dark brown customized paratrooper harness with some sort of subtle magnetic buttons to hold the shield when not in commission in Steve's hands, and dark red boots.

"Wow, that looks amazing...It's not flashy or overdramatic, and those colors in muted would help out in stealth missions and since you're the only super soldier, it makes sense to be unique...", Peggy said.

Steve replied, "And the fabric feels right, and surprisingly comfortable. I barely notice my crystal behind the uniform as it's resting under the star as it fits remarkably...".

"Certainly look like a true GI Joe right there.", Peggy teased as Steve blushed. "You look wonderful, Steve.", she leaned forward to kiss him on the lips. "Easy, Peggy... let's not already ruin this suit before combat...", he chuckled.

Peggy replied with a raised eyebrow, "Combat will make it battle-weary anyway...And... Is your ring under your glove?", and Steve smiled, "Of course it is...I wouldn't ever lose it that way, only for you, my wife.".

"Good man...", Peggy smiled, before she kissed him even a bit more eager, and Steve chuckled, wrapping his arms around her, kissing her back passionately yet lovingly, and after a long minute, Peggy chuckled, "You're right, the fabric feels comfortable and nice. Certainly enough to show how strong you are, yet keeping your humble personality as you are...", caressing his arms as she admired him.

Steve smiled, "Probably what Mrs. Roosevelt and the President was shooting for...Come on, we can't make them wait any longer. You heard Mrs. Roosevelt. A photo of the president and the only super soldier for starters, and of course, maybe a second picture of us boys with their wives...", with a tender look as he eased the helmet back to rest around his neck.

Peggy nodded, "Right...Let's go.", grabbing the bundle of Steve's army civvies into the bag, and they left the hangar office, back to the group.

"How does it feel?", the president asked as Steve smiled, "Honestly feels pretty good; quite fitting now that I really get a good look at it on me...".

"Shows others that you're truly one of a kind; I'd like to say a stark difference compared to the practical legion of matching cogs of the fascists' war machine.", Roosevelt replied.

Peggy smiled, "See? I told you, Steve...", and Steve chuckled as Eleanor sighed in relief, "Thank goodness. I worked hard on that uniform, and you're very right, Franklin...His codename fits him perfectly; Captain America, now that I'm seeing it on Mr. Rogers.".

Steve blinked in surprise, "Captain America?", and Peggy giggled, "Face it, Steve, you're the first and only American to be a super soldier.".

Humming, Steve spoke his codename, and chuckled, "You know what? It actually works.", and Roosevelt smiled, "Brilliant, and of course, personally, in your team or with family and of course, your wife, you'd be referred as Captain Rogers or just Steve.".

Steve nodded, "Fine by me.", with a bright smile, and Preston replied near them, "And I got the camera ready! Mr. President, Steve, if you could, please, for the first photo. With your cowl up, and your shield up, but not too flashy to catch light, Steve.".

"I'll certainly try; the paint on the shield should've helped a bit... you should've seen it before...", Steve chuckled as everyone quickly moved into their places for the photo.

"I take it this one isn't for the press.", Peggy whispered. "Probably for presidential archives.", Steve whispered back.

Preston smiled, "Good! Smile, everyone, even you guys in the back, secret service!", and chuckles rang around as the click and flash came as he took it, "Excellent!".

"Okay, now for the personal frame for the President's office, Steve, act like that you are shaking his hand for the first time, with the shield on your back.", Preston called out, as the secret service moved out of frame, with Peggy and Eleanor on their husbands' sides, smiling, looking at them warmly yet professionally, with Peggy hiding her ring behind her back as she was in agent mode as Steve shook Roosevelt's hand firmly yet carefully, minding Roosevelt's condition, as they smiled while Preston took it, "Perfect!".

Preston then smiled warmly, "Now, take that cowl down and take your gloves off, Steve. This one is for you and Lady Peggy, so, be casual and in love, while slightly professional. After all, you'd need something to show off to your kids in the future, framed up in the house, eh?".

Both Peggy and Steve certainly hoped for that chance as they stood in position. Of course, they knew with a war that anything could happen; hell, the plane they were about to board might not even make the journey to England; that was the nature of not knowing the future, but they at least felt confident that they would do whatever they could in their power to make sure that at the end of it all, they would still be together.

Steve and Peggy held each other lovingly yet casually, their rings on display, slightly professionally, with smiles, a slight glint about dreaming of a kid's awed look when the picture's framed on the wall of their home in their eyes, and Preston took it, "That was absolutely perfect, you two!".

The couple smiled bashfully, and Roosevelt saluted Steve and Peggy, "Have a good flight, Captain Rogers and Agent Carter.".

"Thank you, sir...", Steve saluted as the pilot motioned them to follow him onto the transport plane. "Might get pretty bumpy...", the pilot warned. "You two ever flown before?".

"He hasn't.", Peggy said with a smirk and a gesture. Steve chuckled, "Guilty as charged. Had been on trains, buses, and cars.".

The pilot replied, "Well, welcome to your first day of flying. As this is a transport plane with mostly storage of stuff for our boys overseas, throw your luggage in that net, and you might want to strap that shield somehow. Your wife will show you to harness yourself in.".

"Come on, Steve, it won't be too bad.", Peggy told him as he sighed. "Yeah, well, might take me a little bit to get used to the fact that we're flying... at least in something a bit more unstable...", Steve whispered the last part to her. The Ketaks were fine, those things were amazingly stable, but this...?

Peggy smiled reassuringly, "Hey, we're in this together, remember?", squeezing his hand warmly. Steve gave a small laugh, "When you're right, you're absolutely right.".

He followed his wife lovingly, throwing the luggage in the luggage net, strapping the shield near him, and learning to use the harness seatbelts, and after a double check, the pilot smiled, "Great. I'll call over the intercom when the plane levels out in the air. After all, it's gonna be a real long ride, and boredom will stress anybody out, trust me.".

"Shame we can't do something fun to pass the time...", Steve chuckled as Peggy blushed. "Not with the audience in the front, that's for sure... plus I worry with how hard we could get, we might knock the plane off course.", she joked.

Steve nodded, "Fair point. Perhaps when the plane levels out, I can get my usual sketchbook. We can always play tic-tac-toe.", and Peggy smiled, "Or sketch together.".

"Yeah, that would work.", Steve smiled, and so, the plane, with preparations and such for the next 30 minutes as it skied out into the runaway, starting to rev and lift off, heading east, rising and rising until it reached a manageable and excellent height to level out at the end of the half hour.

They didn't expect the noise to be particularly loud in some spots, and sort of buzzing in other spots, and it was clear why the pilot was intent to use the intercom, "Okay, folks, we're cruising now. You can stretch your legs anytime you want now. Just don't get too close to the far sides where the motors would be insanely loud on your ears. And if you need to get to the cabin, shout as we're wearing our headsets and all. And for your ease, we're currently about 8 hours away from good old England.".

"Any worries about the Luftwaffe?", Steve wondered as Peggy shook her head. "Very doubtful. The only thing they would have by the time we're close to England would long range Condor FW-200s and even then, they've pretty much stopped flying thanks to the RAF intercepting them.", Peggy assured him.

"Right, right... I guess it's more nervous for us being on a ship...", Steve nodded with a shrug. Peggy smiled wryly, "At least maybe the Levithan would help us out in that situation if we're near his territory. After all, we're honorary visitors, able to come to Atlantis anytime, and he knows us as good friends of a sort.".

Steve chuckled, "Very good point.", and so, with minor turbulence and multiple landings to refuel, giving them the chance to relieve themselves, the eight hours passed with sketching together, playing a game here and there, taking a long nap in the quietest spot of the transport plane, and intense snogs in the middle-loudest spot of the transport plane, even with the pilot having mentioned that they can't hear normal noise, only the plane, due to wearing their headsets until one can get to the cabin and call out.

Finally, the pilot's voice called out over the intercom, "Folks, we're landing in 30 minutes. Please return to your seats and harness up. We'll stay alert and warn you if anything's happened.".

Peggy sighed deeply, speaking clearly to be heard to Steve's ears, "I really hope that I have the chance to show you my apartment...You really are learning so well to make me come to my peak yet retracking afterwards to calm me back down before I even could get one chance to come...", as Steve was determined to give Peggy body pleasure as best as he could without giving her vaginal or breast pleasure with his hands or mouth, for she's pinned against one of the storage pallets in the transport plane.

"I swear, you just drive me so wild sometimes...", Steve chuckled before the two of them headed back to the harnesses as it was best not to take a poor risk with anything as they got closer to England. After all, anything could happen.

Thankfully in this case, it was all clear as aside from a few Spitfires and Hurricanes on patrol, the Luftwaffe clearly must have still been parked in France and would bother no one today. The transport landed before coming to a stop.

Both Peggy and Steve could see out the window to notice Phillips waiting for them as well as a few armed British troops and a man with a mustache in a suit that Peggy recognized fairly quickly.

"Huh... looks like Churchill has sent Anthony Eden to meet with us... probably on his behalf.", Peggy said. "I hope Roosevelt hasn't been overexaggerating me to the Prime Minster then...", Steve took a deep breath.

Peggy smiled warmly, "Hey, Roosevelt is a humble man, and he's seeing things...how do I say this? seeing things differently, thanks to being paralyzed by polio. I'm sure he hasn't been overexaggerating much, especially when he got to know you somewhat.".

Steve chuckled, "Very true, Peggy...", before kissing her tenderly on the lips, "Just grabbing the first chance I got...", with a loving smile, and Peggy blushed softly before nodding, "Right, let's do this, Steve.".

They got the luggage, Steve's shield, straightening themselves up, and with saying thanks to the pilot and his co-pilot, they left the plane down the ramp, and as soon as they are clear of the plane, Steve saluted Phillips, "Good evening, Colonel Phillips. Captain Steve Rogers reporting.", standing at attention.

"Good to see you again, Steve... trust the flight wasn't too bad?", Phillips asked professionally. Steve shook his head. "A bit boring; we didn't exactly have many things to do to pass the time...", he chuckled. "But at least it was fairly quiet.".

"Steve, I want you to meet the Brits equivalent to the Secretary of State, Foreign Minister the Right Honorable Anthony Eden.", Phillips introduced as Steve held his hand out to shake the cabinet member.

"Captain Rogers, the Prime Minister wishes to send his personal gratitude and welcomes you to England; while also disappointed that he couldn't meet in person right now.", Anthony Eden said warmly yet professionally.

"It's alright. I imagine he's got a lot on his plate, basically having to lead much of the war effort since we're much closer to the frontlines here than in Washington.", Steve nodded reassuringly.

"It's going to get even closer...", Phillips grumbled. "We'll probably be heading out onto the continent soon as part of a raid or insertion behind the Atlantic Wall.".

Steve blinked in surprise before exhaling deeply, "When do you need me to go, sir?", and Phillips replied, "You certainly seem fresh and raring to go, but best to be careful with that jetlag, as it's better to be careful than being impulsive, even with the current circumstances of your newfound status. I'll need you in my office at the SSR base tonight before you rest up in either one of the barracks, or in your spouse's residence, is that clear, Captain Rogers?".

Steve nodded, "Crystal clear, sir.", and Anthony Eden replies, "And for you, Agent Carter, I assume you're to stay with the SSR, instead of returning to the SOE?".

Peggy nodded, "Yes, sir. You'll need a representative to report for you, and of course, the Queen, and I know I am the right agent for the job, sir.", with a determined look as Steve makes a small smile, proud of his wife, before catching an amused Colonel Phillips' eye, and straightened up, hoping that the other British troops didn't notice why Steve seemed to be comfortable with Peggy, knowing that his right glove is hiding his ring from sight, through Peggy is wearing her ring in sight as she isn't a soldier, but an agent, and a woman, of course.

"Better not argue with her, Foreign Secretary...", Phillips chuckled. "She proved to be quite the shocker on a few guys when they tried to mess with her in camp.".

"Right...", Eden adjusted his tie. "I guess the Prime Minister would feel you'd be better served as our liaison with Colonel Phillips' group."

Peggy gave a warm smile, and saluted him, "I'll do my best, sir.", and Eden replies, "Excellent. I best get back to the Prime Minister to inform him that you and Captain Rogers has landed safely. Colonel Phillips, I wish you a good evening.", with a nod.

Phillips replied, "You as well, Mr. Eden.", before Eden smiles at Steve and Peggy, and then leaves with half of the armed British troops, protecting him on the way to his escort of cars.

"Come on, you two. Let's get to our particular convoy, and get on to the SSR base.", Phillips replied sharply as Steve and Peggy nodded, following him as the other half of the British troops went with them to their own escort of cars. Peggy was grateful that it's past dark, and it'd be even harder to find one car out of either convoy, especially with decoys or such, especially when Steve is important in a way, even with Colonel Phillips a rank or two higher than him.

"Pretty pitch black around here...", Steve admitted. "It's a must; the Blitz might have mostly ended but that still hasn't stopped the Luftwaffe from having the occasional raids.", Phillips explained.

Peggy sighed deeply, "I suppose my apartment is destroyed then?", and Phillips gave a smirk, "Strangely enough, no. The Luftwaffe may be very effective with their bombings, but they aren't quite excellent with their aim, or they are just being lazy, and your apartment was lucky not to be caught in the blast either way. But just to be safe, best to keep only minimal light on, if the siren sounds out, alright, Agent Carter?".

"Don't worry, sir, we'll make sure Jerry doesn't have an easy target... I still like my place at least for the time being.", Peggy chuckled as Steve shook his head.

"Sir, how long do you think we have before we would probably be sent out? If we have a few days... there's something we'd very much need to at least do...", Steve asked.

Phillips looked at Steve, "Hold that thought until we are in my office, Captain Rogers, alright? We still are technically accompanied by other people in this conversation.".

Steve exhaled, "Yes, sir.", and Peggy looked at him in curiosity and confusion, trying to understand what he had implicated.

"But I can ask this. How is the situation back home?", Phillips asked, and Steve replied, "Well, sir, the Great Depression is pretty much gone, but people are still on budget, with having war bonds, and the foundations that President Roosevelt and Preston Whitmore had begun are getting on their feet, with a friend of mine's foundation of making care packages for our boys on this side of the ocean becoming popular as a boost of moral.".
