Welcome back everyone. Last time, Luffy made his crew bigger. He is gonna be starting his training.
Luffy and crew boarded his ship after they finished eating. Admittedly he knew he would be hurting their wallet, but he also knew that it was necessary. One of this wife's anger is not something Luffy wanted to deal with. Last time Boa was angry at him, he had to find a new way to use his fruit. Bonney was the one that was safer of the 3, however he did not want to have her mad.
"Alright," Luffy started as they set sail, "We have new comrades. Let's give a warm welcome Zoro, Nami, and Koby!"
"Hey, I am only temporary." Nami grumbled as others cheered.
"Next our stop is Orange town. Thanks to Nami, we have information that Buggy the Clown is there." Luffy continued. "Now, while we are making our way we have 3 things that we need to discuss. First, Nami is going to be our Navigator and Treasurer, Zoro, you will be our ship guard (basically while they are doing sea fights Zoro stays on defense), and Koby, you will be helping Dojaku in learning how to help with shipwright."
"Treasurer!" Nami said with hearts in her eyes. "You are really learning how to treat a girl."
Hearing this Bonney just snickered. It seemed to her that they will be having a new wife soon. She would have to get in contact with Reiju and Boa about this.
"Second, training." Luffy continued getting Zoro's interest. "I want all of you to start the takas and getting your speed up to par. When we get you down with the basics, I will start teaching how to unlock haki."
Law looked at Luffy in shock. 'Do you really think they have the potential?' He thought as he looked at the new people.
"Finally equipment and the remaining islands. There has been a massive amount of corruption that have not allowed the grandline to know what is going on in this Blue. With that said we need to upgrade our gear mainly our new recruits weapons." Luffy finished.
"Wait, what is wrong with my swords?" Zoro asked.
"Or my staff?" Nami asked as she pulled our her staff.
"Well, I want to make your staff sea stone so regardless you can handle devil fruit users. As for your swords, only your Wado Ichimonji is strong enough to handle the strength you will obtain." Luffy explained.
"Now today, we will have a relax day, we have at least 2 days before we end up in Orange town. Take this day off to get accustom to the ship and what we need." Luffy finished as he went to his cabin with Law following him.
Bonney taking this oppurtunity, grabbed Nami to show her around. She pulled the orange haired girl into the ship. "So, that is the Luffy's cabin. If you want to sneak inside, by all means." Bonney teased watching the girl flush red. "Naughty, naughty. He does have a nice bathroom. Anyways, these are the men's cabins and bathroom. There is currently 4 so they have their own room, however that may change as we get more crew."
Nami just nodded as she was still flushed due to the teasing. "Now, these are the women's rooms. There are 5 rooms but thankfully we only the 2 of us. Here is the best part about our bathroom." Bonney said as she showed the expansive bathroom. "So, what is your deal?"
"What?! What do you mean?" Nami was shocked by the woman in front of her.
"Oh come on. Luffy has been known to take strays, people with dreams, and people with problems. So what are you?" Bonney questioned.
"I... dont want to talk about it..." Nami said looking downtroddened.
"Ah problem then. It is fine, Luffy will take it away." Bonney said as she pulled the girl into a hug.
She just let Nami cry into her shoulder, as she continued to hug the girl in front of her. It was several minutes before Nami finally stopped allowing Bonney to back away. "How can you be so sure he will take care of it?" She questioned everything that the pink hair woman was saying.
"Because he did it for me already." Bonney said with a grin. "It all started with..."
Flashback
Bonney was on the run. She hated her family. First selling her off to the world government because of her accidently eating a devil fruit. All they wanted her to do it make them young again. She would never allow them to take control of her like that. First she had to get away from the Marineford. Now as a 14 year old it was hard to run passed people as you were so noticable, however most adults are idiots. Hell, she was slowing learning to up her own age. So she was walking as an old woman towards a ship that was departing for the North Blue. Sealing the clothes of a Marine had advantages.
Garp was getting ready to leave with Luffy. He had to help Luffy get away from the Marineford as most of the admirals were looking at Luffy like a piece of meat. While his reputation kept most off his grandson, it would only take someone to put enough pressure onto Sengoku to take him away from him. With that said he was taking him to the North Blue. It was a good time anyways. He had to inspect Germa Kingdom anyways. He had hearda rumor that the Vinsmoke family had started doing experiments on their children. While it was not necessarily illegal, it was immoral meaning that he needed to make sure things we not getting out of hand.
"Luffy!" He called out looking a the boy with a straw hat pulling up rigging to ensure it was ready.
"What Grandpa?" Luffy said as he tied down the last of it as the pinkish grey older woman walk on.
'Huh, I haven't met her before.' Luffy thought. 'Means, I can make a new friend.'
"Get ready for training when we depart." Garp said with a grin making all on his entire ship got scared.
'Why was everyone scared?' Bonney thought as she walked on to go below deck.
Once ship had departed, Garp called the entire crew to the deck. Bonney proceeded to attempt to hide by changing back to her own age. 'I mean, I am no longer the person.' She thought as she went into the kitchen. Little did she know, that Garp was right behind her.
"What do you think you are doing in here brat?" Garp said scaring Bonney with his maniac grin.
After the training Bonney was exhausted laying on the deck. Luffy was not much better laying on deck as well. "Is... it... always like that?" Luffy heard Bonney ask.
"Well, if grandpa feels like you have potential then yes it is. Unfortunately for both of us. Have potential in his eyes." Luffy explained. "I didn't see you come in. Are you a new recruit?"
Bonney panicking, "Yeah, I just got here today."
"Awesome, we could be friends." Luffy said with a goofy smile.
Bonney was shocked that he just accepted her so easily. All her life she was bullied because of her hair and her families poor status. She never had a person just accept her. It became too much and she started crying as it all came to her. "Hey, are you ok?" Luffy asked he noticed her crying.
Being unable to respond she just broke down even harder as Luffy just pulled her into a hug. He just comforted her as she let all her pain out. As her crying died down, she looked at the strawhat teen. "Why, are you so nice to me? You don't even know me." Bonney asked.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Luffy questioned with a confused face as Garp was looking with a grin on his face watching the 2 interactions.
In the time it took to get North Blue, Bonney and Luffy had spent the entire time hanging out, training under Garp's guidance. They grew closer as they discussed their lives, dreams, and what they want to do. Luffy explained how he wanted to see the world, which is why he joined the marines. Bonney explained how she wanted to see the world as a child and was sold to the marines because her devil fruit. All the while, Garp was planning with Sengoku.
"Garp, you can not be serious?!" Sengoku yelled through the den mushi.
Bonney had made a huge uproar by vanishing from Marineford. "Come on, Luffy is the only one that can stop her from becoming something that we do not want to deal with." Garp responded.
"Still, the Five elders will not like this." Sengoku responded.
"Those 5 can shove it. They wanted to use her as a non-human. I am not going to allow it. Beside they would make an enemy that could cause the entire world become destroyed if they pushed her. I am trying to stop it." Garp countered.
"Fine, I will explain it to them. But if this comes back to bite us, it will be your head." Sengoku ceased.
"Yeah, much like Luffy meeting Boa did." Garp grinned back.
While Garp was having this conversation, Luffy and Bonney were testing out there devil fruit. "So mine turned me into a silent man. It allows me to turn off all sound and abilities. It took awhile to make it so I can turn off abilities but it was awesome."
"What you can turn off abilities?" Bonney questioned getting a nod. "So if I change my age you would turn me to my actual age?"
"Want to test it?" Luffy asked with a giant smile.
"Sure" As she changed her age up to her grandmother side.
Just as it took hold, Luffy channeled his causing Bonney to drop back to her age. Looking at Luffy in shock with him smiling at her. "LUFFY!" Bonney yelled hugging him.
"Bonney, I didn't know you were my age." Luffy said while getting hugged. "You are really pretty the way you are."
In that moment Bonney knew she was falling for her friend.
As they approached the North Blue, Bonney had an option. Would she flee after they got to port or would she stay and get taken back to the Marines. Neither option sounded good to her. She dreaded even bringing it up to Luffy. Would he protect her? Would he abandon his dream for her? She couldn't do that to him. It would be better if she just disappeared after all. Everytime Luffy smiled and talked to her made her hesitate. By the time they got to Germa Kingdom, she still didn't have an answer. 'I will make my decision after the inspection.' She thought as Garp commanded her and Luffy to join him.
The Vinsmoke castle was the most impressive thing Bonney had seen besides Marineford. The staff walked around and made sure everything was perfect. 'Too perfect' Bonney thought as they walked into the throne room. They walked in with to greet the current king Vinsmoke Judge.
Walking up to the man, Garp just grinned. 'Good they are going to cause an issue. Luffy it is your time to shine.' He thought as he addressed the king and his family. "Good morning your Mr. Vinsmoke. We are here for our inspection. Shall we discuss what we will be doing and where we are staying."
"Hmm, very well you are all dismissed." Judge said to his children.
"Alright, brats you are dismissed as well. Go find some restuarant for us to eat." Garp dismissed them.
Luffy and Bonney saluted as they were meant to, before walking back the way they came. Just before they left the castle however, the children of the Vinsmoke caught up to them. "Yo, peasants. Where do you think you are going?" The teen with red hair said to them.
"Food, where else?" Bonney responded immediately on guard.
"Oh hohoho, did you here that Ichiji? It is like they think they are better than us?" The teen with blue hair said mockingly.
"Hmm, I think we should teach them who is the rulers here are." Ichiji said looking at his brothers.
"Well, as long as I get that girl. She seems like she is gonna be fun to break." The green haired brother said.
"What did you just say?" Luffy said having his eyes shadowed by his hat.
"Oh, Yonji it looks like this one is hard of hearing. He said he is gonna use your girl so much that she is gonna be broken to the point of being nothing but a who..." the blue haired brother got out before he was punched in the face so hard that he was hit through the wall into the next room.
"Well, that is what you get Niji for speaking to much." Yonji stated as he pointed at Bonney. "Now come over here girl. I will treat you real nice."
"Touch a hair on her head, and you are a dead man." Luffy said with his haki following out being sensed by everyone in the castle knocking out most of the staff.
As soon as they heard this, the 2 remaining brothers launched themselves at Luffy. "Well, it looks like we will kill you first then..." Yonji said before he felt off right before he was as well punched through a wall.
Ichiji, seeing Luffy punch his 2 brothers through walls paused just for a second, right before a dragon imagine was launched at him as a fist connected to his stomach punching him through the wall as well. "IF you think I am going to let anything happen to Bonney you have anothing thing coming." Luffy shouted at the 3 teens that were down and unable to move causing as he put his arm around Bonney causing her to blush.
Before anything else could happen Judge and Garp came to find the scene. Garp just laughing at what had happened while, another pink haired teen hid behind a wall taking in the scene.
Flashback end
"After that, I knew I couldn't keep my problem to myself. I couldn't deal with the guilt, but Luffy just looked at me right and the eye and asked me 'What do I want?' I broke down again afterwards and explained that I wanted to be with him. I don't think he knew exactly what I meant but next thing I knew Luffy was demanding his grandfather to allow me to remain on his crew. That is when I found out that he had special permission to choose his crew for the Marines." Bonney finished her story.
"But, that doesn't change my situation." Nami complained.
"Oh but it does. You see once Luffy will do whatever he needs to make sure you are happy. That man will make it happen. He has a way with it. Besides he already said you are part of his crew. You are stuck. He is quite stubborn like that." Bonney explained.
Nami looked at her in shock. This woman just said that their leader would just get rid of all of her pain and suffering like it was as simple as brushing your teeth. "Besides, once he does make it your island and solve the issue, you will be free to do whatever you want. Even pursue a guy." Bonney teased her again.
Turning beat red, Nami sputtered, "But... I thought you like him?"
"Oh, I do but that will mean you are the fourth woman that is ensnared by his charm." Bonney laughed at Nami's face. "I mean you will have to meet the others, but they will be joining us at Loguetown anyways."
"Wait others?" Nami looked at the pink haired woman.
"Oh, I guess you wouldn't know because Luffy doesn't talk about himself as much. Well there is 3 of us currently. Boa, was first she is the whole reason it is happening really. Then their was me. Finally Captain Reiju though she is as laxed and Luffy is." Bonney explained with a loving smile on her face.
Nami, just stared at the woman in front of her. "Look, I am not saying you have to join us. However just think about it and talk to Luffy." Bonney said as she patted the other woman on the shoulder leaving her to her thought.
While, Nami and Bonney were having their conversation. Luffy was making calls. 'First to Jinbe. I need to get his call done and over with.' He thought as he pulled the den den mushi towards him.
"Hello, Jinbe are you there?" He asked as the receiver picked up.
"Luffy is that you?" Jinbe called over.
"Yeah... we have an issue in East Blue. You are gonna need to come over here. I am gonna ask Boa to pick you up." Luffy told him.
"Hmm, that bad huh?" Jinbe questioned what would cause Luffy to ask for back up.
"No, but it is personal for you. It is Arlong." Luffy explained.
"Ok... Where will we meet?" Jinbe asked.
"Meet Boa at Sabaody. I will let Shakky and Rayleigh know." Luffy explained as he knew he had another call to make.
"Got it." Jinbe replied ending the call.
*Sigh* 'Well that was the easiest call today.' Luffy thought as he rang the next call he was gonna have to make.
"Hello, Shakky's Rip Bar. What are you ordering." He heard the command through the mushi.
"Hey... Shakky. I have a favor to ask." Luffy started with.
"Oh, the famous commadore decided to call his aunty. What can I do for the great Marines?" Luffy hear in response.
"I need you to let Boa and Jinbe meet up so they can meet me in the East Blue." Luffy requested.
After a few moments of silence, "Fine brat. But I will be pulling that favor in when you are back in the area. We have a few people looking for a new life." Shakky called out. "And if that wife of yours turns my patrons into statues again I am gonna make you pay for it."
"Hehehe, thanks Shakky. And we should be there in about 3-5 months should everything go well. If not well I will let you know. I will have Law remove the brand when we get there." Luffy said gratefully.
"Sure thing. Now if you see the old man out there tell him, he owes me 200,000 beri." Shakky said ending the call.
'Now, onto the hardest. I hope she isn't gonna be annoyed with me.' Luffy thought dialing the last number.
"WHO DARES CALL ME WHILE I AM ENJOYING MY TIME IN THE BATH!" Luffy heard as she yelled into the mushi.
"Hey, honey..." Luffy said praying to whatever deity that she would be upset with what I had to ask her.
"Luffy!" he heard her yell in the mushi hearing crashing of plates and someone getting push through closed doors.
'Well, at least she is still the same old Boa.' he thought. "Hey, Hancock
I know we discussed meeting up at the Lighthouse entrance. But I am wondering if you want to meet up sooner."
"Oh, missing me are you?" Boa responded.
"Always, also I need a favor..." Luffy started. "Can you pick up Jinbe up for me? It has to do Arlong."
"Luffy..." He panicked as she responded. "You want me to pick up not only another man, but a fishman..."
"Yes... please Boa it is important. How about this we will meet up at this fancy restuarant and it will be just you and me." Luffy pleaded.
"YES! I got a dinner date with Luffy!" He heard sweatdropping. "I mean ok. I demand you pamper me when I am there. And I demand you allow me to travel with you."
"Boa, what about your sisters?" Luffy asked knowing this argument was going to happen again. While he was training with Garp he would have gotten away with it, now though he has no excuse.
"Oh, they are fine with it. I think they are excited us to be together. Besides one of them is going to be taking over while I unofficially stepdown." Boa replied, though mumbling how she would be finally sleeping in his bed.
"What will happen to Amazon Lily without their queen?" Luffy tried.
"Luffy... do you not want me with you.." Boa started to tear up.
"No, of course I do." Luffy immediately backpedaled.
"Then it is settled!" The smile on the den mushi couldn't properly show the victory smile and pose he knew she was doing.
"I guess it is. I will see you all in a week or 2." Luffy said.
"Oh, I have so much to do. I will see you soon, love." Luffy heard before the line was cut and he sighed.
The next day, was eventful for the Straw hat Marines. They would be arriving at Orange town later that day so Luffy wanted to get his crew as much training as possible. "Alright, first things first. I want to get you all up to the standards law, Bonney, Dojaku and myself are currently at. We need to get your body able to first become strong." Luffy started.
"Oh no..." Bonney mumbled being heard by everyone as they looked at Luffy's smile.
"So, first things first. We will be starting with the katas. Then we will be doing basic physical and stamina training." Luffy explained as he looked eerily like Garp.
By the time they were near Orange town, and saw the small ship out in the way. Not realizing that that the marines where there, the Buggy pirates were busy counting their money. "Alright we scored big! Buggy will definitely promote us with this!" One of the 3 pirates said out loud looking a his companions.
"Hell yeah! Let's go!" The 3 pirates heard from behind them making them all excited.
"Let's go!" All the pirates said turning around seeing a straw hat man.
Back on the [insert ship name here] the crew was looking at the group of pirates that were tied up currently to the mast. "Law can you grab all their supplies and treasure." Luffy called out to his first mate.
"Fine, Room" Law said said as he activated his devil fruit and pulled everything from the boat nearby.
"Alright, for training today we will be training against actual opponents that want to kill us." Luffy explained to the 3 new crew. "Now gentlemen, you have 2 choices execution or win a fight against my crew. If you win 2 out of 3 I will grant your freedom, however if you lose I will be forced to pass judgement."
"Luffy you can't be serious! How are Koby and I suppose to win?" Luffy pleaded with him. "I have an idea you have 2 fight Zoro and 1 fight Koby, while you and I go have some fun."
Nami winked at him and showed some of her cleavage while she heard Bonney snort. Glaring at the other woman, Nami heard, "Sorry Nami. This is for your own good. I want you to get real life experience. Trust me, we have been training with each other for 4 days now. You will notice the difference."
Seeing his grin, Nami couldn't help but feel the confidence he had with her. "Come on, Nami. We can't be the weakest forever. Besides Luffy won't let anything happen to us. If we lose it will be alright." Koby explained as he looked that the men in front of him.
"Alright it is settled." Luffy said. "Now first up is Nami."
Nami pulled out her staff as Luffy released the pirate giving him his sword back. Before could complain to Luffy about the weapon, she heard Luffy say begin. 'Great' she thought as the man ran at her grabbing her staff to deflect the vertical slash aiming for her head. She didn't see the man kicking her in her stomach pushing her back. Nami heard the man laugh at her with his apparent fortune.
Minutes passed as Nami was slowly getting pushed around. 'He is stronger than me.' She thought as she was pushed back again. "Give it up girly. Maybe if you beg I will spare you. Hahaha" He taunted Nami.
'This is it!' Luffy thought as he watched Nami slowly start to shake. He knew she had trauma, but in order for her to grow stronger she needed to overcome. He was watching her dodging and blocking the man's attacks continuously. He had to restrain himself when he watched her become taunted but she was strong. She would overcome.
Nami was looking at the man with disgust and anger. She did something the craziest thing in the entire fight, she attacked. She rushed at the man with a speed that the crew expect for luffy was surprised with. As she was bringing her staff down the staff normally blue turned black. The man not noticing brought his blade up to block it, causing it snap like a twig. The shocked face of the man was nothing compared to Nami's when she finished her swing smashing the man directly into the deck, rendering him unconscious.
Looking at the man then at Luffy, Nami ran straight into his arms as he held them out to her. "I did it!" She yelled as she was lifted up by her commander.
"Yes, you did. I knew you had it in you." Luffy said with a grin on his face as he held Nami as she pulled him into a hug.
'Huh, this feels nice.' Nami thought as she held him close. "Now, next up Koby. Law release the next one." Luffy called out.
"Ok, this is my chance." Koby was trying to sike himself up.
"Koby," Luffy called out as Nami was trying her hardest to avoid looking as she let him go.
"I want you to try to fight, but if it becomes to difficult do not hesitate you surrender. I care about you just as much as the rest of the crew." Luffy said to the young boy in front him.
"Luffy..." Koby started to tear up. "I will do my best!"
"Begin!" Luffy called out.
Koby went in to punch the pirate thinking of his time with Alvida. Unfortunately for him, he was not physically strong or fast. The pirate pulled his blade to cut Koby as soon as the boy got in range. Seeing this, Law quickly used his devil fruit to pull Koby out of a death blow which meant his loss. "Winner goes to the pirates." Luffy called as Law put his hand onto new crew member.
"Sorry, I made you save me again." Koby said feeling depressed that he could not even remote handle himself in a fight.
"Relax, we expected at least one of you to not win. We just wanted to know your baselines." Law explained as he looked at the younger man. "Learn your weaknesses and improve. Don't worry you will have all the time in the world to get stronger."
As Koby was deep in thought, Zoro got up. "Alright, final match." Luffy called out as he released the man from the post as Bonney kept the other at from the pirates from getting any ideas.
The match didn't last long. 'At least Zoro is up to his reputation.' Luffy thought as he watched the man end his match quickly and efficiently. With that the one who managed to win saw all hope was lost and tried to take Bonney hostage only for him to be turned into a baby and tossed over. "Bonney you didn't have to do it like that you could have just aged the blade." Law complained as he realized the amount of paperwork that was about to be dropped on him as Luffy and Garp avoided it like a plague.
"I thought we agreed they were either gonna die or be put on the gallows." Bonney said sweetly knowing that he wouldn't disagree with her.
"Let's just get to Orange town. Apparently we are gonna be running into Shanks' old friend." Luffy said as he got ready for the island ahead. The rest all shuddered in fear as Luffy walked into his cabin.
"Oh no. I know that look. Luffy is going to destroy that poor man." Bonney said as the rest of the older crew agreed with her.
Alright, we got some of Bonney's story, Luffy talking to setup his fight with the Fishmen and we see Luffy training in Nami starting. Will we get to see more unlocked. Before you ask yes the ship wright is literally going to be the guy going to be a minor crew member. He will be very strong but he will only be mostly protecting the ship.
