Alright everyone, this chapter is made for my raffle of the month. I hope you all enjoy as this was a harder chapter to write because I knew where I wanted to chapter to go. It did not go as I intended as I had to change how things happened. I still like the outcome. Enjoy. Jinbe watched as the Marine ship came into view. He knew it was not Luffy's as his was made of black wood. 'This isn't good.' He thought as he watched the ship getting attacked by his fellow fishmen. He had been hiding out for the last two days with a kind creature Momoo. He was a kind creature, but afraid of Arlong. Jinbe sighed. Where did it all go wrong? They had all known that Fisher had help breaking in and freeing the slaves from humans. Why did his friend end up this way?
Luffy and crew spotted the Conomi Islands several hours past sunrise. They had gotten word from Jinbe that another marine crew had been destroyed by the Arlong pirates causing them to be cautious. "So, here is the plan. Law will take Nami, myself and Sanji onto the island. We will meet up with her family and then proceed to Arlong Park. The rest of you will let Jinbe know that we are on the island and start to raid the marine base nearby. They are most likely corrupt, at the first hint of them attacking you have authorization to use deadly force if necessary. Boa, Zoro and Koby are on ship defense." Luffy commanded as he saw the looks he was getting. "Hanna, you are still a warlord. If you are seen attacking a marine base it will look bad. Zoro you are still injured. I know Law did a bang up job but he is a surgeon and doctor. Until he gives the go ahead you are grounded."
"Fine..." Zoro huffed clearly he was annoyed at the light duty treatment.
"Reiju, you and Bonney are going to do the inspection while Law goes over the paperwork. Again if they even hint about being hostile deadly force is approved." Luffy said, earning a grim nod from them.
"By the end of the day, this region will be liberated." Luffy cheered out as he got into position taking his Commodore jacket over his shoulders.
Nami watched as Law had used his fruit to place himself back onto the ship miles away. It still shocked her how strong some devil fruits truly are. She turned to Luffy as his hat hid his eyes. Her heart fluttered slightly as a slight smile graced his lips showing he knew she was looking at him. Despite knowing him for only a short time, Luffy continued to do the unexpected and outrageous everytime. She looked at her shoulder, the shoulder that for so long held bad memories and torment now was blank once again. 'Soon, this will all be over.' She thought as she turned to the other person with them. "Alright, first things first. We need to go meet up with my sister. She should be in my village at this time of day. Hopefully, we can catch her and then grab all the money I saved up." Nami stated as she held a grim determination.
"Yes Nami-chan!" Sanji said with hearts in his eyes. He apparently did not care that she was with Luffy.
"Come on, I have a quick path there." Nami stated as she turned and moved toward her village and her two hours they walked in silence as Nami thought of every conversation she had and would have with her sister and adoptive father. She had been dreaming of this day since her mother's death. Now, she finally came to free them.
Luffy walked silently as they made their way to the village. He sent his Haki as far and as wide as he possibly could ensure all we in his domain. It hurt that he had to lie to Nami as he had no intention of meeting up with her family. He was marine, his job was to keep people safe, not put them in harm's way. He was here to stamp out corruption and make sure people were free. He watched his surroundings as he noticed another group had arrived on the island. 'Shit, this is not good.' He thought as he noticed them in the village in front of them. At this point he had two options, stop the group or take out Arlong. With Jinbe close by, Luffy sighed. He wished like many times he had a devil fruit that allowed him to be in two places at once.
"Nami, we need to head to your actual house." He called out, knowing he is about to put a lot of people at risk.
Nojiko was having a pleasant day. Well as pleasant as it could be when you have a psycho pirate that is willing to destroy everything for just money. Regardless, she had just met up with Hachi as he had the money for the family down the street in order to cover their tax. She gave him his oranges under the cover of payment and proceeded into the village. After giving the family their money, she went to the one place she always dreaded, Genzo's. He was as stubborn as they come. 'Why can't you just wait until Nami is done?' The question she always asked as the man had put himself at risk throughout the years to bring in weapons and ammo encase they needed it. Today though, she noticed that he was not outside like he usually was. In front of his door were two marines standing at attention. "Are you serious?!" She heard Genzo yell.
"Not good." She muttered as she walked up to the guards. "I am here to see Genzo."
"Nojiko, this is Captain Nezumi. We were just discussing rumours of the islands." Genzo said as he gave a grave look towards his surrogate daughter.
"Which one? Is it about a pirate crew attacking us?" She asked, trying to weasel out if this man was here to help.
"It has come to the marine's attention that a thief has been hiding their stolen goods on this island. I was wondering if you can help me. We are currently doing an inspection of each property. Chi chi chi." Nezumi explained as nonchalantly gestured. "We were hoping to start with the furthest away then make our way inward. Genzo said that you lived on the outskirts."
"I do, but I doubt you will find anything there." Nojiko said as her insides started to panic.
"Can, you please allow us to be escorted to your home. We will perform our retinue inspection and be on our way." Nezumi did not ask, he commanded as he got up from his chair.
"Right, this way." Nojiko said as she knew Nami's hiding spot was covered and currently has been dug up due to Nami not returning yet.
"I will join you. It will be a nice walk for my old bones." Genzo said getting up hoping to cover for his daughter.
Nami walked towards the small house outside the tangerine farm. Sighing in relief, Nami hurried her step. She wanted to see her sister, and tell her the good news. Suddenly, she heard a crash as a table shattered the window as it was sent to the outside. "Where is it?" She heard a voice call out. "There should be around one hundred million beris somewhere here."
"How do you know how much money would be here? You told us you were looking for a potential thief, not a certain amount. We do not have that kind of money here. Almost everything we do have is taken from us." She heard Genzo yell. "We are barely surviving and you are looking to take what little we have left?!"
"Hmm, this is getting nowhere. Men, take the woman for interrogation." She heard the man yell out orders as she rounded the corner.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Nami yelled as she saw Genzo being held at gun and sword point while Nojiko was struggling but being tied up by a group of men.
"Well, well, well. This is an unexpected surprise. It seems the thief has returned home." Nezumi gleefully replied as he looked at Nami lustfully. "Men, we will be bringing her with us as well. We will get the information out of them."
"Nami! Run! They are after the money you are saving to buy the village!" Genzo yelled as the guards pointing their guns at him turned to capture Nami.
"That will not be necessary." They all heard coming from behind the marines. "She is my Chief Petty Officer. I would like to know why you are harassing these people, Captain?!"
They all turned to see Luffy sitting at the table that was just thrown out the window. The question on everyone's mind except for Nami's was how did he get there and where did he come from. "Sir, I do not know who you are. However, you are interfering with a serious case. We are here to obtain stolen goods and have them returned."
"Really?! Tell me captain." They heard Luffy say as they felt an unknown pressure being placed on them. "Who was it that assigned you this mission?"
"I do not have to tell a civilian anything. Men arrest him!" Nezumi commanded as he felt an even stronger weight on his body making him and his men unable to move.
"Chief Petty Officer Nami, who am I?" Luffy asked as he stood up revealing his marine coat.
"Commodore and Inspection officer Monkey D. Luffy, sir!" Nami replied, saluting with a smile on her face as this was what they practiced to prevent such a thing from happening.
"Very good. Now Captain. I asked you a question. Who gave the order to steal from my family?" Luffy said as he released his full pressure of his haki onto the marines holding Nojiko and moving towards Nami.
"IT... wasssssss..." Nezumi started to cry as the pressure became so intense several of his men had already fainted. "From Arlong! He forced me..."
Nami watched as Luffy silenced the man as he crumbled. "Nami, tie these men up and make sure no one comes to Arlong Park. Sanji, you are with me. We are going." Luffy called out as he made his way towards the door. Justice drifted lazily on his coat as it lifted with a slight breeze. "It is time, I put a mad dog down."
Nami watched as the remaining marines fell unconscious in Luffy's wake as he walked purposefully towards Arlong Park. "Who was that?" Nojiko asked as turned to her sister."That was Monkey D. Luffy, Commodore of the Marines. My future husband." Nami said without shame as he body felt aroused at the sight of Luffy's power.
"HUSBAND?!" Genzo and Nojiko yelled as they looked on with shock."It is a long story..." Nami said as she got to work on tying up the marines as she started explaining what was happening.
Arlong Park
Luffy continued to walk silently for a half hour before he came across the gate to the Fishman base. He heard partying going on as they celebrated Arlong tricking the stupid humans. Rage filled Luffy as he stepped forward. With a kick the doors broke off the hinges sailing directly into two fishman killing them instantly as the doors crushed their bodies. "WHO DARES ATTACK US?!" He heard a hulking sawtooth shark fishman call out as he looked towards the door.
"Arlong the Saw. You are under arrest. Come quietly, and lay down your arms. No one will have to die." Luffy called out as he motioned to Sanji to get ready to move.
"You are wrong about one thing. Someone will have to die! YOU!" Arlong roared as he looked at his two dead men. "KILL THEM!"
"Sanji take care of the trash." Luffy called out as he started to walk towards the commanding officers of the Arlong Pirates.
Sanji just sighed and took a drag of his cigarette. He rushed forward, sending a kick into the skull of a fishman that had come close to his commanding officer. Fishmen's necks spun and skulls caved in as they attempted to reach Luffy. Luffy ignored it all, as he walked towards the hulking fishman in front of him. "Nezumi betrayed me? Is that it?" Arlong questioned not seeing a reaction from the man in front of him. "No... it must have been that bitch then. She finally found someone to do her bidding. What did Nami offer you?"
Arlong started to laugh as he saw the fire in Luffy's eyes at the names he gave Nami. "Oh, did she offer herself? Was that it? Did she tell you that you could have whatever you wished?"
Arlong taunted as he waved his hand calling off his remaining men. "Well, let me inform you about something." Arlong stood up taking a step off of his throne. "You are not the first she hypnotised into trying to fight us. You are stronger than most, for a human. How about you leave and I give you a small fortune to turn around and leave this place. I will even let it slide that you killed some of my men."
Luffy stared at the Shark fishman. He saw the bloodlust and anger in the man at the sight of his own men dying. "Are you going to sit around and talk or are you going to surrender?" Luffy asked as he ignored the comments Arlong made about Nami. "I would rather you be silent if you ask me."
"IF YOU WANT TO DIE! THEN DIE!" Arlong yelled as he pulled a horn out blowing into it.
The sound rippled across the ocean as Arlong continued to blow. Eventually the sound died completely as all fishmen looked towards the sea expectantly. A few seconds they watched as the water slowly shifted and then started to rise as a monstrous creature rose from the depths. Slowly the water revealed a Giant Sea cowfish with a golden hoop in its nose. Sitting on top of its head shocked all the fishmen to their cores. Mediating, was the Knight of the Sea Jinbe. "Hmm, it seems my time has finally come." He said as he opened his eyes. "I have finally found you, Arlong."
"JINBE!" Arlong roared looking at his traitorous in all but blood. "YOU DARE SHOW YOUR FACE TO ME!"
"Still acting like a child," Jinbe stated as he got up and looked down at the remaining men. "Luffy, it is good to see you again."
"YOU KNOW THIS FILTHY HUMAN!" Arlong asked as he got madder by the second. "You continue to betray our kind. Betray Tiger!"
"You know nothing." Jinbe said as he jumped off of Momoo. "Thank you my friend. Once I am done here, let us head home and get you properly treated."
They all heard the giant sea cow cry out as it sank back into the sea. "Now, your terror has gone on long enough. I will be anyone else's opponent who wishes to continue to fight." Jinbe yelled as he got into his fighting stance.
The remaining fishman looked confused as they did not expect any of this. A little fear crept into their hearts as they saw Jinbe defend a human. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? KILL THEM!" Arlong roared as he glared at Jinbe with hate.
The remaining fishmen hesitated. Fighting and killing humans was one thing. They were weak and pathetic. Fighting another fishman let alone the Knight of the Sea and these monsters from the marines. That was something else entirely. The only two fishmen that seemed ready to fight were Kuroobi and Chew as they prepared to fight. Luffy remained unfazed as he walked towards the angered shark. He leaned back as the water bullets flew past his head. "You are getting in my way." Luffy stated as he continued to walk. "Silent Room: Silent Knight."
The next thing Chew knew was his body felt cold and unresponsive. He didn't know what was happening as his eyes saw but he could not register what was happening. He felt his heart quiver as it seemed like something was interrupting it. Then he felt it. Like a puppet cut from its strings, he fell to the ground. The other fishmen watched as one of their officers fell. "Chew, get up!" Arlong called out as he looked just as shocked as the rest of them.
"I am sorry," They heard Jinbe state as he looked saddened by the death. "I tried to warn you."
"You are a traitor to our kind, Jinbe." Kuroobi stated as he got into his stance. "First I will take your head. Then I will avenge Chew!"
"Hm," Jinbe rumbled out as he got into his karate stance. Tiny water droplets slowly got pulled into his hands as he prepared to fight. Studying his opponent, as they stared down at each other waiting for the first to move.
"Hachi! What are you waiting for? Kill him!" Arlong roared as he felt his own teeth breaking under the loss of his friend.
Hachi looked at Luffy with a sad look in his eyes. He did not wish to fight. He thought he could change his fellow fishmen when they left the Sun pirates. It hurt that even after all this time they had forgotten that Tiger had help reaching the Summit to free people. Hell, he still remembered the young marine that created their escape. Although he would never admit it to Arlong, he recognized the young man in front of them. The young boy who helped Tiger. 'At least, I can die by the hands of my savior.' He thought as he pulled his blades out. "Six sword style: cyclonic slash!" Hachi said as he swung all of his blade horizontally at Luffy.
Many looked on in shock however when Sanji kicked Hachi causing the swordsmen to miss completely as the octopus fishman fell onto his back. "Hachi of the Sun pirates. It has been some time." Luffy called out as he stood over him. "Do not worry they can not hear this. I am going to give you a chance. As the only fishman in the crew that tried to follow Tiger's policy and attempts at equality, you will live. Nami is thankful for your help in saving her family from Arlong's wrath."
Hachi looked in shock before a kick from Sanji sent him flying into the wall of the ocean entrance and exit. Arlong watched as Hachi's body crashed into the wall then into the sea. Blood rushed through his body as he needed to kill these pathetic humans! "I will kill you!" Arlong roared, launching himself at the two marines.
Sanji jumped away as Arlong rushed in. He turned to see Luffy standing there. 'Right, I am in charge of the cannon fodder.' He thought as he saw the hulking fishman attacking his leader.
Outside Arlong Park
Nami rushed towards the fortress after she had Genzo ensure the traitorous marines where secured. She was confident in Luffy and his plan but she still wanted to be here. She wanted to see her tormentor's end. She needed to see his end. Running towards the gate, she saw the doors gone. She ran up to see Arlong, running towards Luffy. "ARLONG!" She yelled.
"Ah, look who it is?" Arlong raged as he saw her. "Watch as this man dies!"
Nami watched as Luffy smirked as Arlong went to beat his neck. "WHAT!" Nami yelled as she was in shock. Arlong's teeth shattered onto the black skin of Luffy.
"Nami, I will be taking all of this down now." Luffy calmly said as he smiled brightly at her.
Nami watched, Luffy punched Arlong into the water. "Come on now, your in the water. Prove to me your ideals. Prove to all of us that, you were right to spit on Fisher Tiger's ideals." Luffy said as he tossed his jacket and hat off.
Nami watched as the hat flowed towards her. 'His most prized possession...' Nami thought as it landed perfectly on her head. She continued in shock as Kuroobi was sent flying towards the wall. She saw that a hole formed in his chest as water seemed to subside.
"I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!" Arlong roared as he jumped out towards Luffy. "Shark on Darts!"
"Disappointing," Luffy muttered as his fist, colored black by his haki, slammed into Arlong's face. The punch broke Arlong's nose as it stopped his momentum. "I see this is what a bully can do."
"You pathetic human!" Arlong roared as he stood up. Blood flowed from his nose and mouth as his prized nose was hanging off. "Men, attack!"
Luffy watched as Arlong jumped towards his tower as his few remaining fishmen attacked. Luffy was not concerned however as each of them fell to swift kicks from Sanji. "Luffy, it is time to end this." Jinbe said as he sat mourning is former brothers.
"He will have to suffer first." Luffy said as the silent field extended. "Silent room: Eternal Silence."
The group stared as a dome filled the area. It was eerily quite as all noise outside the dome disappeared. Luffy walked towards the tower but not a single footstep was heard. "My men!" They heard Arlong yell as he stepped out of the tower holding a giant blade looking like teeth, Kiribachi. "I will kill you, then that whore behind you. But not before I do, I will make sure every single person she loves will die. I will chop off her legs, force her to make all my maps. I will kill all the humans after I rebuild!"
"You will die here." Luffy said behind him. "You are a filth that will be silenced from this world."
Luffy punches Arlong into the wall. Arlong slams into the wall cracking into the steel wall. "Hmm, interesting blade you have here." Luffy stated as he held Kiribachi. "It would be a shame... IF SOMETHING HAPPENED!"
Arlong looked as Luffy smashed his blade to pieces. It was then he knew that he would die. Die to a human. 'No, I need to escape.' He thought as he pushed off the wall. "Water darts," He muttered as he threw his own blood at Luffy.
Arlong watched as the blood traveled at the man as fast as a bullet. He grinned as he started to run towards the door. "Where do you think you are going?" He heard behind him.
Luffy grabbed the fishman by the neck. "We have more rooms to explore." He said slamming Arlong into the ground.
Luffy scowled as he continuously used Arlong as a battering ram at each door. Each room showed the wealth the fishmen have been accumulating. "So," He started to say as he slammed Arlong into the next room. "Do," The next room was destroyed. "Think" *slam* "You" *slam* "Are" *slam* "Superior" *slam* "Now?" *slam*.
Luffy continued relentlessly, each room was destroyed as Arlong's body was battered and broken. He ascended the tower continuing the pattern with each room, questioning the broken fishman. "Arlong, do not die on me just yet. We have much to still see. We are close to the top." Luffy said as he pulled the fishman up by his neck. "Get UP!"
Arlong felt a wave of pressure on his mind causing his body to give him the adrenaline needed. "I'll fucking kill you." He muttered out as he attempted to pull Luffy's hand off of his neck.
He watched as a smile grew on Luffy's face. He struggled to break free, but the grip was like a steel vice. He slowly felt his throat being restricted. "Wait, don't..." He started to plead.
"Oh, do not worry. You will not die right here." Luffy said, causing a bit of relief in the fishman's mind. "I will kill you once we finish our tour. Come, we have one more room."
Arlong struggled as he was again slammed into the floor causing it to crack. Luffy slowly dragged him to his final destination. Inside the room was a calligraphy table, a chair with shackles attached, maps of all the surrounding islands, and a small bed. "Now, what do we have here?" Luffy asked as the fishman flailed. "Tell me, what is this room?"
Arlong struggled, he knew what this room was. He had trapped Nami in this room multiple weeks after she had disobeyed his orders. He had her make maps for him to conquer this sea. Now all his hard work was going to be the death of him.
"I asked you a question!" Luffy asked as he stopped the fishman from moving as he knelt on his neck. "I see, so you tortured her here."
"How?" Arlong questioned as he panicked harder.
"Blood, and her hair." Luffy said as he looked at the fishman. "You truly were a sick man. Let us see how long you can last."
Arlong watched as Luffy put his hand onto his chest. "What are you..." He questioned as a small ping went off.
Luffy watched in a grim determination. He used his worst ability on this man. "Silent room: Thousand whispers." He said as he watched each part of Arlong's body start spasming.
2 minutes later
Luffy watched as Arlong's body finally stopped. "Two minutes... That is longer than anyone has ever lasted." Luffy said as he got off of Arlong.
Luffy thought of his ability. It was truly terrifying that his power allowed him to stop the mind from sending signals to the body. It was the worst way to go. Your entire body not knowing what is going on as your body stopped taking control of its natural abilities. No heart beating, no breathing to bring in air, no way to use the mind to get the body to do what it needs. Slowly the body fights against itself. Each part trying to get the air into its parts. Slowly the body starts to cause each of your organs to be hostile and attacks them. This normally takes roughly a minute before the body shuts down. 'Hmm, he had more of a will to live than I thought.' Luffy thought as he looked at the room one last time. 'Time to destroy everything.'
Luffy kicked the body out the window as he started the destruction of the room and eventually the tower. He left nothing to remain, except the treasury. Afterall, the towns needed the money to rebuild. First he destroyed all the maps that Nami had made. Then he kicked the table out the window into the ocean. Looking around, Luffy smirked. "For the final touch," He muttered as his leg had become black with his haki.
As his foot hit the floor the entire tower started to crack before starting to crumble apart. Nami watched as the place that held so many terrible memories collapsed on itself. She noticed the lifeless corpse of Arlong laying on the ground. 'Good riddance.' She thought as she continued to stare as the man she had started falling in love with jumped out of the tower as it collapsed completely.
"Your family is now free." Luffy stated as he saw tears in Nami's eyes.
"Thank you!" She yelled as she jumped into his arms.
Wrapping her arms around his head, Nami forced his lips to hers as she put all of her gratitude and love into the kiss.
Alright, chapter is done. I think I did a decent enough job showing how strong Luffy truly is. His devil fruit is very powerful but remember he was trained by Garp. That means he is strong enough to easily take on his grandfather in fights. With adding his Haki, well Arlong's strength is not enough. Afterall, the marines can fight fishmen on equal footing with a certain degree of success. Case in point is Arlong was already captured by the marines before.
