"So, explain how you managed to capture such a beauty." Arianne asked as they finally found their way to her own personal garden.
Guards walked by as Daemon looked around making sure there was no was spying to hear this conversation. "That is a long story..." Daemon said as he looked towards his wife for support.
"There are things we can not say." Veltina said as she grabbed her husband's hand. "We found each other after our lord created Avalon."
"Oh, you have to tell us all about it!" Athura called out excited.
"Well..." Daemon started...
Flashback 2 years ago
Daemon watched as the group of travelers moved through the first gate of Avalon from the docks. It still amazed him how Hadrian had people build the city in a year. Still he shouldn't have been horribly surprised. He had seen many trying to take the city in the last several months. The slavers where not happy once Hadrian disrespected them. Still it was even more of an insult that they had settled on what is considered the land with the richest soil.
Still the first seasons exports were amazing. The produce was strong and plentiful. The people were safe and fed. Hadrian had come through and the ships they had were currently making business deals with multiple kingdoms and multiple cities. How he had done it was still beyond him.
Regardless, it was the new group of people that were in the now hired carriages that were his immediate concern. Hadrian was out doing gods knows what leaving it to him and Missandei to deal with the politics again.
'How I wish I snatched up Missandei before he did.' Daemon thought as he looked out towards the sea from the castle.
Several minutes Daemon continued to watch the carriages make their way up the path towards the castle. The smooth pavement made it seem like they were gliding on the land as the normal carriage ride would have taken hours took only 20 minutes. "Welcome to the city of Avalon." Daemon stated as he met up with the group as they made it to the castle. "My lord is currently in an important meeting and will not be able to meet with you until tomorrow. My name is Daemon of Avalon."
"Lord Daemon," A leader of the group seemed to step forward. "My people and I come from Naath. We wish to speak to your lord and ask for protection."
"We accept all lost souls." Daemon stated repeating the words Hadrian told him when he asked him why they kept letting people in. "Whatever your reason, we accept you all."
"Truly..." The older leader called back.
"Yes, come back tomorrow and please meet my lord tomorrow. For now, please rest our lodging in the city can house your people." Daemon called out as Blackhide had come up to him.
"Lord Hadrian has finished and requests you to meet him in the throne room." Blackhide whispered.
"Hmm," Daemon replied as he turned to the leader and group. "It seems that my lord is currently available. Please send your representatives up. We will being seeing you."
Daemon turned around walking towards the castle as he heard the group discussing as Blackhide called out towards the guards. He walked in the castle feeling the temperature control wards take into affect. Walking up, Daemon saw his friend sitting on the throne his people forced him to have. "You know, you could have just relaxed." Daemon said as he looked on his friend and Missandei.
"When have I ever relaxed?" Hadrian stated looking exhausted as he again performed his duties.
"Missandei when is the last time he slept?" Daemon questioned as he spotted the effects of sleep deprivation.
"Not for four days." Missandei replied giving Hadrian an angry glare. "Apparently his lord has deemed it necessary to not sleep."
"That isn't fair..." Hadrian muttered as he pleaded with them. "I still have much to do."
"You need to sleep!" Missandei argued back making Daemon back up slightly to avoid the woman's ire.
Before Hadrian could respond, the doors opened up. "Welcome to the City of Avalon. You are in the presence of Lord of Avalon. The rider of Dragons, Sorcerer of the ancient arts, and rescuer of slaves." Missandei called out towards the group of three.
"I am Khanisn, my daughter Veltina and my wife Asha. We come from Naath." Khanisn stated as he kneeled. "Your grace we request safety from your city."
"Why is it that you have come then?" Hadrian called out.
"Your grace, we were exiled from our home for believing that we should fight back." Khanisn stated as he looked at his daughter. "We have been trying to stop our people from becoming slaves."
"I understand," Hadrian started trying to appear as an impartial lord.
"Please my lord. We are willing to sacrifice whatever you wish. I am even willing to be your courtesan." Veltina pleaded hoping to have her family and others be safe.
"That is not necessary." Hadrian stated as he looked at his friend with a smirk. "Your people are safe and welcome."
"Thank you, your grace!" Khanisn cried out.
"Now, Daemon could you show our guests to their rooms." Hadrian smirked towards his friend. "I am sure Lady Veltina would prefer a room overlooking the sea."
"Your grace?!" Daemon sputtered.
"Please allow us to give you our greatest accommodations and hospitality." Hadrian stated getting up. "Now, I believe Missandei has stated that I have not been sleeping. Please Daemon make sure they are fully taken care of."
"Of course, your grace..." Daemon replied as he watched Hadrian walk away. "I guess, you are with me. Blackhide, please let the guards know that they will be staying in the castle."
"Of course, Lord Daemon." Blackhide snapped his fist to his chest.
"Now, I believe my lord has stated the lady would enjoy a sight of the sea." Daemon stated as he offered his hand.
"Of course my lord." Veltina said blushing at the gesture.
Flashback end
"At that point, we started to spend more and more time together." Veltina stated as she cuddled up in on his arm.
"Man, I wish I could have that with someone." Athura complained.
"Please, I would never swoon over a man like that." Arianne stated as she tried make it seem like she is superior.
"Hehehe" Veltina giggled to herself.
"What is so funny?!" Arianne argued.
"Nothing, though it definitely changes when you meet the special person." Veltina explained as she looked at Daemon.
2 weeks later
Daemon was on his way towards the Sunspear's throne room as he had been requested. Honestly it was a good time for Daemon as he got to enjoy the look on his father's and half brother's face when Prince Doran had called them to the palace just a week prior. When Veltina had basically caused them to lose it had been the highlight as she told them that he was better off with her name than his father's.
Flashback
Ryon Allyrion walked into the Sunspear with his wife Ynys and his eldest son Crodell. "Your highness, it is good to see you in good health." Ryon had stated as he came up to throne and knelt. "I have come as you requested."
"Ah, Ser Ryon. Good, I am happy for your quick response." Doran said as Oberyn chuckled in the background out of site. "I had hoped the journey was not too harsh."
"It was fairly smooth. We avoided a nasty sandstorm a few days prior." Ryon stated as he rose from his kneel.
"Good, now you must be wondering why I have summoned you." Doran asked looking at the man. "You see, your other son has returned to Dorne bearing gifts. He wished to speak to you."
At that moment Oberyn allowed Daemon and Veltina walk in with a sadistic smile on his face. He watched as they showed to the family. He could not wait to see what his family called the 'Saw-scaled Viper' and her husband did to the poor family. (Saw-scaled are quick tempered small snake that has a very deadly venom.)
"Lady Allyrion, it is good to see you." Daemon said as he had a good relationship with his step mother. "Brother, Father."
"Daemon, what an unexpected surprise." Ynys said smiling at her husband's son.
"Indeed. It is quite unexpected." Ryon stated showing his annoyance. "Last, I heard you sailed to Essos and were not going to return."
"Well, it was my idea to meet my husband's family." Veltina said stepping forward. "It is a pleasure to meet you all."
"My, you are beautiful." Ynys happily replied as she smiled towards the woman who her step son had on his arm.
"Indeed, how is it that worthless man had gotten you?" Crodell said as lustfully looked at the woman. "With your exotic beauty it must have cost him a fortune to buy you from your seller."
"CRODELL!" Ynys cried out at her son.
"It is ok my lady." Veltina stated as she looked at her husband telling him to let her handle this. "While your son must pay for someone to be with him. My husband did not. He allows me to shine in what you might call a man's world."
"How dare you?!" Crodell cried out.
"What is the matter little man? Does your ego take that much of a hit from a woman?" Veltina stated as if she was getting pleasure from this. Her smile said that she might be.
"Enough." Doran stated though he was enjoying the woman thoroughly make fun of the young man. "You can have your thrashing later."
"I agree. We have met. Now go back to your shack in Essos and leave my family." Ryon stated as he had seen enough.
"Oh, please. Like you are worth our time anyways." Veltina stated. "We came here to inform you that we were married. It seems like the lady of Allyrion is the only one that is worth seeing."
"You, will never be worthy of being part of this family." Ryon angrily roared.
"Worthy of your family? HA" Veltina asked smiling all the while. "Lady Allyrion, I will be sending you the finest silk dress. Please have your seamstress send your measurements to Avalon and my Holyhead company will personally design your dress."
"Avalon?!" The family cried out as they turned around.
"Prince Doran didn't explain to you?" Daemon finally chimed in. "I am second in command of the Avalon army. In charge of Avalon when the Shadowlord are dealing with important business."
"You are..." Credoll panicked he just insulted the wife of the right hand man of Avalon.
"Yes. Now goodbye." Daemon said putting his arm around his wife as they turned to walk away.
Flashback end
It had been a great week afterwards including the sex. His wife was insatiable though it seemed to piss off Arianne as she was in a mood the entire time. Regardless, it seemed that everything was looking up. "Prince Doran, you called." Daemon said kneeling down in front of him.
"Rise my young friend." Doran said holding a piece of paper. "We have received a message from Kings Landing and Lord Stark."
"King's Landing..." Daemon stated back as he went to the note.
"Be the Gods! Damn it Hadrian!" Daemon stated as he read the note.
1 week later
Hadrian looked at a prison cell waiting his chance at freedom. 'Well not really a chance.' He thought as he knew with his magic he would have a guarantee win. 'Regardless, it is time to show the world I suppose.'
The memories of Harry Potter had been a blessing and a curse for him as they had kept him up for days on end after certain portions had come to him. His time facing a snake man who he refused to call by the ridiculous name had been the drama he did not need. Thankfully though it was the spells and his knowledge of magic that had helped Hadrian the most. If it wasn't for them, he honestly doubted he would have lasted as long as he had. 'Hell, it was the magic that got him into this mess.' He thought as he remembered him using some magic on people through out to allow him certain liberties.
Thinking back on his time traveling here had been unpleasant. The 'Drunkin King' as the people called him in hush tone had basically whored his way from Winterfell all the way to King's Landing. First it had been alright as they traveled south from Winterfell traveling through the rough terrain of the North. It sucked for Hadrian as he was forced to ride a horse instead of using other means of travel as he would rather be caught dead then sitting in the carriages. Still it wasn't all bad, he was traveling with his uncle and his cousins as they traveled towards Kings Landing. It was disappointing that Jon decided to still travel North towards the wall. That and with the raven that had arrived for his father requesting him back, Hadrian had only his uncle and his little cousin to spend time with. "Arya your footing is off." Hadrian explained as he watched his cousin and the butchers boy face off with the stick swords they had somehow acquired.
He had used some magic to get his uncle to agree to the training as Hadrian knew the risks of Starks traveling south entailed. He wanted the girl to have every advantage he could give her. "I am trying to stay light on my feet." Arya complained as the boy had pushed his advantage of strength.
"And with that footing you are going to..." Hadrian started as Arya went to step back and tripped on feet falling down. "Trip."
"Dang it!" Arya complained as she laid on her back looking at the older boy she had become friends with over their trip south.
"You should really listen to him..." Mycah stated as he earned a glare from Arya. "He is really good at fighting..."
"But he uses dirty tactics..." Arya complained as she was still upset about her most recent loss to Hadrian when she asked him to teach her how to use a blade.
"Oh please," Hadrian said as he looked at Nymeria trotting over to her owner. "If you fight clean you die. A battlefield is not for heroics or honor. It is about survival. Take your father for example."
"My father never did anything considered dishonorable." Arya argued back as she got back up for another round of sword engagement.
"Of course not." Hadrian stated as he got up behind Arya. "Turn your body so only part of your body is showing."
He continued to adjust her stance to a similar style of his own. "Next keep your off hand behind you." He whispered as he placed a small twig of a stick in her hand. "Now your job is not to engage in a fight of strength. Keep your feet moving and never allow them to be directly in the path of the other." Arya nodded as he backed away to allow them to start again.
She watched Mycah pushed towards her again. Arya dodged to the side using her "blade" to push his to one side. Using the opportunity, she pushed her off hand forward tapping the twig to Mycah's neck. "I win!" Arya cried out in victory as she turned to Hadrian.
Her happiness turned to anger though as she saw he sister and Joffrey walk around the corner clearing slightly drunk from the wine skin she saw them passing. "Well, well, well. What do we have here." Joffrey asked. "It seems the peasant is forcing my betrothed sister to fight."
"Leave us alone." Arya complained as she saw her friend freeze up. "I asked him to."
"The peasant sees himself a knight?" Joffrey questioned as he pulled out his sword. "Well, come on then pick up your sword. Let's see what you got."
"Please your grace. We were just playing, honest." Mycah cried out as he dropped his stick seeing the blade pointed at him.
"I said pick up your sword." Joffrey said looking to cut Mycah for disobeying him.
"That is enough." Hadrian stated as he got in-between everyone. "The boy will not be forced into this."
"Back off bastard." Joffrey said scowling. "This is between me and the one who fancies himself a knight."
"Oh really," Hadrian said pulling out a dagger. "Pulling steel against a stick is it? Then come foolish prince. You clearly think you have the advantage."
Joffrey being drunk as he drank more wine than he was allowed, swung his sword at Hadrian. Dodging the haphazard swing, Hadrian thought to end this miserable fool. He had enough of him and his entire family as they had belittled him throughout their time traveling. Hadrian twisted around as his magic flared. 'Expelliarmus' Hadrian thought as a red spark flew from his hand slamming into the drunk Prince.
Hadrian pressed his attack as he watched Joffrey's blade sail into the river. "Stop, stop, stop. You are ruining everything." He heard Sansa cry out as she was drunk thinking that Joffrey was continuing to make her happy.
Hadrian pushed his foot behind Joffrey as he shoved the boy to the ground. Dagger blade to the boy's throat, "Now, you will turn around and walk away." Hadrian told him as his eyes glowed violet as his magic swirled inside him.
"How dare you?! I am the prince. I will have your head!" Joffrey cried out as he struggled to get up. "Wait until my father and mother hear about this. They will have you killed."
"Yes, yes now." Hadrian said as he grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him to his feet. "Go back to licking at your parents feet." With a shove Hadrian pushed the young prince away towards the camp.
Later that night
Hadrian knelt before the king and queen as Joffrey spouted out lies on how he attacked him. "He then threw my blade into the water, pushed me down and threatened to kill me if I did not surrender." Joffrey finished crying out.
"None of that is remotely true." Hadrian stated as he yawned at the farce that this "trial" was.
"Oh, what is your side of this?" Robert asked as he sobered up.
"Please he is just going to lie." Cersei stated as she had wanted Hadrian dead for the disrespect and attack onto her son.
"Your son, interrupted my sword training session with young Arya. He pulled steel against training sticks. Then tried to attack us with it." Hadrian stated looking bored about the entire thing. "If I had not been there, he would have attacked the daughter of the Warden of the North and potentially had been killed by her direwolf."
"Liar!" Joffrey cried out as he pointed and sneered at Hadrian. "You threatened to kill me with your knife on your back."
Before Hadrian could respond, Lord Stark burst through the canvas. "Your Grace!" Ned called out as he bowed pulling Arya and Sansa behind him. "My daughters just informed me that Hadrian was in chains being dragged in here."
"He is being accused of trying to kill the crown prince." Cersei called out to Ned. "He brutally attacked my son after having your daughter and the butchers boy attack him."
"Liar!" Arya cried out as she looked at the man who became her mentor. "He didn't do any of that. He was helping me learn to defend myself!"
"Hadrian stated you had him train your daughter to fight, Ned." Robert replied out as he was impartial. "Aye, the lad is good. He has been a mercenary before coming here." Ned replied as he was upset his nephew was in trouble. "He was teaching her how to defend herself again thugs and crooks that reside in the world encase she is found outside the castle."
"So you admit to having the man purposely attack my son." Cersei accused.
"Of course not your grace. Hadrian was just training her nothing more." Ned stated. "That man held a knife to my sons throat." Cersei stated as a way to win this.
"Have you checked the knife itself?" Hadrian asked bored of the back and forth. "If you did you would know that it is my training knife. Duller than a piece of wood."
"Nonsense, you clearly hide the real knife if that is the case." Cersei fired back.
"This is getting no where." Robert stated as he looked towards his friend.
"I agree. Therefore I demand trial by combat. Seeing as your wife will demand I die, I will let someone else die in my stead." Hadrian stated clearly not concerned.
"Hadrian..." Ned said trying to reason with his nephew.
"Let the gods decide who is in the right." Hadrian stated as he heard three girls laughing at him.
"Very well, will you be naming a champion?" Robert asked.
"No." Hadrian stated as he turned to Ned. "I request you bring me my bag before the fight so I may don my armor."
"Granted. The lad will be fully prepared for his fight." Robert exclaimed before Cersei could argue.
"Do you Joffrey Baratheon require a champion?" Robert asked his son.
"Perhaps my son wishes my guidance." Cersei said looking at her eldest. "Perhaps Gregor Clegane."
"Excellent idea mother. Request he meet us at Kings Landing." Joffrey sadistically smiled.
"You wish to have the Mountain be your champion?!" Ned exclaimed as he knew of the man's reputation.
'Well, this is one way to spend two weeks.' Hadrian thought as he was finally heard the door open. 'Time to end this farce.'
Hadrian stepped out of the cell seeing his uncle and Kingsguard. Of course he had not stayed in his cell as he was never truly in at fault. Still, the city for all it's supposed splendor was a total, for the lack of better words, a total shit hole. He had created an illusion of himself laying in bed multiple times to scout out the city. A simple Alohomora and he was free from the confines. He had to change his clothes and look but still, a simple delusion charm and then a quick walk towards the city guard post to borrow some armor and he was free. 'Honestly they do not even keep the place on lock.' He had thought when he first ventured to the compound. 'I didn't even need to summon the stuff.'
He had walked in the city for many hours through out the two weeks he had been there. He wanted to see if he could acquire some talent for his city as he ventured through out. He had seen traders peddling their goods. Whores trying their hardest to get him into their beds. But the worst by far was flea bottom. It was so repulsive that Hadrian had to use multiple cleaning charms just to clean himself. However, he had spotted a couple of worthy people. A young man working for a blacksmith, a whore had a hand in business, her female friends though if they wish to come to Avalon they need to be given potions to rid them of any diseases, and finally a young alchemist by the name of Deston. Of course, Hadrian had notes placed in their chambers as he found them making offers to have them come to Avalon. If they join well better for him.
Regardless, Hadrian was happy with how things were turning out. He had seen that Dorne had sent their representatives at his request. The fact that Daemon was with Prince Oberyn in the city made it even sweeter. So that night he snuck out to see them as Oberyn had tried to convince Daemon to join them at the brothel. "I am sure your wife will not mind you enjoying the feeling of flesh after our long right from the Sunspear." Hadrian heard Oberyn talking to Daemon as he walked up behind Daemon.
"I would not be too sure about that." Hadrian said revealing himself to the man as he stood behind Daemon. "Veltina is very protective of what is hers."
"HADRIAN!" Daemon shouted as he jumped back from being scared before he recognized the man. "You scared the shit out of me."
"It is good to see you." Hadrian said as he got a hug from his friend. "Now, how is everything?"
"About as well as it could be." Daemon replied coming off the hug. "Prince Doran seems to be in good health and willing to work with us."
"Good," Hadrian relaxed as he saw the man come into the room holding a spear. "Relax, I just came to see my friend."
"Oh shit, right." Daemon quickly turned around. "This is Prince Oberyn. Oberyn this is Hadrian."
"You know, for someone who is suppose to be in jail you look fairly happy and free." Oberyn stated as he lowered his spear as his paramour joined them. "Where is my manners. Would you like a drink? Some wine maybe?"
"Wine is fine." Hadrian stated as he took off his helmet. "I believe we have some things to discuss."
"Indeed. Love would you please go and grab some of the wine from our stores we brought." Oberyn said looking at Ellaria. "Then please join us. It is not often we will be in the company of such a guest."
"Of course," Ellaria said looking at Hadrian with suspicion.
"Do try not to poison it." Hadrian said as he looked at the woman. "After all, I still have a fight soon that I need to be ready for."
Ellaria froze at what he had said. 'How did he know?' She thought as she started to walk again away from the bad feeling in her gut.
"Please, be at ease. The poison would be just to avoid you from being able to harm us." Oberyn stated as he sat down. "You must realize that I will have many enemies here and through out the city. It is merely to prevent my family from losing another."
"Understandable," Hadrian replied sitting down across from the man as Daemon took his spot on his right side. "Now, I am sure your brother had sent you because of my message?"
"Of course," Oberyn said looking towards the man. "It was however very confusing. You said you were going to handle a problem and bring justice. But I do not see how?"
"Tell me, have you heard who I am to fight?" Hadrian asked as he saw the shake of the man's head. "Do I did not believe so. I believe a person of interest that we both wish off the board."
"I see, and who is this person?" Oberyn said as Ellaria came back in the room with a bottle of wine. "Thank you my love."
Hadrian waited until the glasses were poured and Ellaria had come to sit on her husband's lap before continuing. "I have heard rumors that it is one of vengeance for you in particular." Hadrian said as they both took a sip. "A certain mountain will fall soon."
"You face Gregor Clegane?!" Oberyn had almost shouted back.
"Indeed." Hadrian merely shrugged. "It is not a manner of facing the man. He will die, that much is certain. However, I wish to know what you want from this."
"I know he is the man who killed my sister and her children." Oberyn stated as he grew angry. "I wish to hear him confess his crimes. I wish to be the one to plunge the blade through his heart and watch him die."
"I can not give you the second part. However, I can give you the first. I will make him talk. He will be heard through out the kingdoms for what he has done to your family." Hadrian stated as he leaned forward. "All I ask is for Dorne to become allies to my city."
"If this is done, then I will personally see to it that you are a friend to all of Dorne." Oberyn said.
"Then we have a deal." Hadrian said as he leaned forward extending his hand.
"I believe we do." Oberyn stated as he stared at the man gripping his hand.
After the modest shake, Hadrian turned to Daemon, "I need to leave. It is good to see you my friend. Please send word back to Avalon letting them know I am ok. I also need them to send a ship over to King's Landing to potentially pick up some guests. I wish to have them in Avalon."
"It will be done my lord." Daemon stated as he put his fist to his chest.
"Well, as much as I wish it otherwise, I must depart." Hadrian stated as he got up. "Please have this armor returned to the barracks for me."
With that, Hadrian disappeared, leaving behind the armor he had stolen.
The next day, Hadrian sat in his cell as he heard people slowly walking down the corridors towards him. 'It seems today is the day.' He thought as he heard someone rattling keys to open his cell.
Hadrian watched as his uncle had come in as well as two king's guards. "Hadrian, are you ready?" Ned questioned as he looked towards his nephew. "I have your bag here."
"Thank the gods. I thought they were going to go against their word." Hadrian stated as he reached into his bag feeling his mother's blade. "There we are. They are going to be in a surprise. Come uncle, let's go topple a mountain."
