Sonic is going through the same feelings I did." "Tails?" Sonic was very surprised to see Tails, but he ignored his friend's reaction and walks straight towards Tails. "How can you be so good to a man like that? How can anybody be good to a man like that?" Tails laughs and tries to cover his embarrassment at Sonic's words, but then remembers something. He sees the image inside Sonic's mind. He feels guilt, sadness, surprise, and a sadness he can't quite put his finger on. Tails tries to put it all together, but in the end, nothing comes together. He turns to look and sees Sonic's expression, he notices that the anger has subsided and Tails was trying to comfort him, but the pain that the memories caused him is so overwhelming he isn't even sure how he feels anymore. That's when Tails remembers that Sonic didn't do anything, there had to be a reason behind it. He turns back to Sonic and looks up, only to see that he's staring at an angry Tails; so angry he can't even look at Sonic anymore. He tries to ignore the feeling, but Tails catches him and pulls him close to him. He cries in his arms for so long he can't take it anymore. He cannot take it anymore. He cannot take it anymore. His mind is so flooded with anger it almost breaks. Tails pulls away and tries to make himself look better, but it is painfully obvious that he's in pain and he's bleeding. Even though he knows he must look like a fool, Tails looks him dead in the eyes and asks, "Am I?" Sonic lets out a sob that sounds like a baby crying. He takes a deep breath, the tears start to fall from his face and he looks back at Tails who is trying to find a way to comfort him. Sonic tells him to look at him, and as he says this, Tails looks into his eyes and sees his friend trying his best to help him. "You are good as always, Sonic." Tails whispers. "How...do you know..." Tails smiles a little as he remembers how Sonic would go

Sonic, however, is distracted, and finds Sonic naked in front of him, with a picture of a woman laying on his bed. Sonic runs away in disgust and turns to Tails and apologises because it was a mistake. Tails attempts to console Sonic, but he's too busy being embarrassed, and the two are left alone.
Tails is first approached by a beautiful woman, who asks about Sonic. Tails answers, "Yes, I'm a human!" Tails is very surprised by the response and then proceeds to have a nervous breakdown. With no choice, he starts taking drugs, including the psychedelic drug Roid Rage, from a doctor. In a strange fashion, Tails is asked if Roid Rage can be used to heal a person. Tails replies, "I'm pretty sure Sonic and I can... do anything." Sonic tells him that Tails is a fool, and states that he and Tails have the same problems: they're both trying to get their own way.
As Tails becomes more and more erratic, Sonic states that he has to let go; the two have a huge problem. Tails is left with the only solution to him getting out of his shell and being the free man he is: go off the ledge and onto a floating island in the sky. The two make their way to a beach. Tails is soon found by a pair of guards, with Tails informing them that he was just doing what he does best: "flying around and looking for things and doing things." Sonic finds the two of them sleeping on top of a beach. "I can get used to this," he says, not wanting to stay up all night with Tails, as he has to work tomorrow. Once they go to sleep, they are asked who they are, and Tails says, "We're not going anywhere."
After a night on the ground, Sonic is awoken by a voice crying out, "Don't die!" Tails has never heard such a voice; he's a big fan of the film. Sonic and the guards go off to find who this voice could be. Sonic finds him to be nothing more than a human, saying: "What's your name?" He continues to ask Tails what he's doing, and Tails responds, "I'm Tails, and I just took some Roid Rage." Sonic then wonders why he's there. Sonic soon gets wind of the plan, which is to get the medicine from Tails,
