Sonic and Knuckles were smoking weed on Angel Island and Tails was asleep beside them. Eggman sat in a nearby bush in a ghillie suit, spying on them.
He then walked upstairs, followed later by Sonic. Eggman said that he was afraid I'd find out about his plan for the world, and told them all to tell Mr. Robot that no matter how fast we go, we must do nothing!" Then, Eggman gave Tails and Knuckles a golden ring-shaped robot arm with a camera and told them to take it to the Robot Shop. They went down a steep and slippery path through the forest. Eggman told them they should look for a tunnel to the other side of the island for an elevator. Tails noticed a flower. Eggman said: "We've come to the home of the greatest flower garden in the world, the Lotus Garden, and the great Lotus, Lady Blumlech, is watching over the garden." Knuckles told Eggman that he'd already shown the flower that day, and he was lying. Eggman then told them to go to the Lotus garden and steal the flowers. They followed Eggman's instructions. After running for around 3 days, Sonic and Tails got to the back, which led to another room. In the room there was a giant egg. Sonic gave Eggman a flower, but Eggman told him to take one of his own and called the two Sonic and Knuckles, explaining the circumstances to them as well. Eggman then went to the garden, but was defeated by Sonic and Tails by the time they reached it. Eggman then took the flower to the Robot Shop." Eggman said that the golden ring on his arm was actually a microphone and it was trying to take Eggman's voice, so the rings were broken and they had no chance to capture him. But that was not all." Later, Eggman appeared in the Robot Shop, where he was asked for a payment of 3000 credits. He was then given a small robot by Tails, but was confused by Eggman and refused to accept it. Eggman made Tails go find a metal ball that Eggman had been given. Eggman then grabbed him, and told Tails "He was going to have some trouble taking off the ring," and then Eggman took off his clothes. Eggman told Sonic "I'm scared, but I'm just as angry as he is." "I wanted to do something for my mother that you wouldn't have to pay anything for! And I wanted her to have something good." "Well..." "Don't...be so sure...that she'd mind
He watched while the pair passed through a tunnel, which led to a house. After the pair left the house and passed through the gate, he followed, leaving his costume behind. Sonic arrived at the house, and saw Eggman hiding in the garden. Tails and Knuckles followed him in the nearby garden. Eggman knocked his ghillie suit to the floor, which caused Sonic and Tails to be trapped. Eggman grabbed Knuckles' arm, and demanded that Eggman "go to hell". In response, Knuckles screamed at Eggman to not attack or he'd hit them himself. Eventually, Eggman let go of Knuckles', and they got out of the house.
Meanwhile, Sonic and Tails were now running from Eggman's henchmen, and chased them. As Tails and Knuckles pursued, they found themselves in the front of a car driven by Eggman. Eggman opened the front door, and Knuckles told Tails that he couldn't go back. Tails told him to go, but he was too fast for the henchmen. Tails ran into Eggman and he hit the ground. He tried to fight him, but Eggman had used his arm to shoot a bolt straight towards him. Tails escaped, but Eggman kept chasing them and chasing them.
After an intense battle, Eggman finally caught up with them and grabbed one of them with a rope, and then he ran into a tree. Tails told Eggman to let him go, and Eggman did, but then he grabbed Tails, and Tails had to try beating him with a rock while Eggman was still trying to get away. Eggman fell, and Tails had to save him by punching him into a boulder. Tails was knocked unconscious.
Tails woke up and ran back inside Angel Island. As Eggman escaped from Knuckles' hand, Tails and Knuckles had to go after him, with Knuckles' ghillie suit. Eggman took Knuckles to Angel Island, where they were captured. Tails was left at Angel Island by Eggman after telling Knuckles of Sonic; Knuckles gave him the ghillie suit for him. Tails then told Eggman that he had another plan, which was to attack the Egg Carrier and destroy it, and that the Egg Carrier would be coming to Angel Island. Eggman let him go, as he realized the plan was useless and would just bring him more trouble.
