Chapter 50
Lucas awoke alone in the living room coated in darkness.
He left and searched for Brooke in their room. His office. He hadn't found her. When he went outside on the porch and didn't see her car parked.
His heart dropped he knew where she was going and had to stop her before she did something she couldn't take back.
He grabbed his car keys. Locked up. Left the home.
Got into the car and started to drive.
When he made his way to Peyton's house.
He quickly realized the house was empty and her car not there.
He then started to call and text Brooke. She wasn't answering.
So Lucas decided to keep driving around. Focused on finding her.

Peyton was checking off items in her mind. Her dad had taken off for the airport already with Salem in tow. He would drop Salem off with Julian. It was better that way. No goodbyes. No ties to her.
Peyton continued her own path towards the airport.
She would have a fresh start. New name. New look.
She didn't trust Dan. She had no reason to stay in Tree Hill.
Eventually Peyton made it the airport. She parked and had her suitcase nearby. She got out of her car.
And felt herself get pushed to the ground.
Brooke had followed her there. Quietly in her own car.
Brooke bawled up her fists and was punching Peyton.
Peyton hit her back. "You got what you deserved."
"The only regret I have is not killing you too." Peyton confessed.
Brooke unleashed all her pent up anger and frustration and pain.
Seeing red. As neither woman heard police sirens come closer.
It wasn't until Brooke and Peyton were pulled apart did reality hit.
"She attacked me!" Peyton said.
"She killed my babies!' Brooke exclaimed. The emotion in her voice raw.
"Mrs. Scott. We need you to come with us." The female officer said.
Peyton felt as if she had finally conquered her long term goal.
That only lasted a matter of minutes before she was handcuffed by the other officer.
"You are going to take her word for it." "She attacked me!" Peyton exclaimed. As she was lead into the police squad car.
"You are under arrest for murder." The officer said.

When Brooke was brought into the police station.
She saw Lucas.
"The two of you need to come with us." The female officer said.
The couple followed her into an interogation room.
"Someone who wants to remain unknown brought these babies into the police department." The female officer said.
Brooke felt her knees buckling. As Lucas grabbed onto the wall to steady himself.
Brooke walked over to them. She reached out to them.
She scanned their faces. Held them in her arms.
Tears falling from her eyes.
Keith and Kyle." Brooke proclaimed.
Lucas stared at them eyes wide.
He walked over to them wrapping his arms around his family.
All blond hair and blue eyes.
"You look so much like you're daddy."
"I love you so much. My boys. So beautiful." Brooke said.
The 8 month twins. Touched her face and nestled into her.
