Halves Of The Same Whole
Chapter 51
"It turns out the babies that were buried weren't yours." The officer explained.
The couple wanted to know what happened but really they just desperately wanted to go home. Their sons being alive and well was nothing short of a miracle.
"The Scott twins are alive. And at this point we are well aware that you're plan was to kill those boys and for reasons no one will know."
"They survived. If you want any chance at a deal. You'll tell us what happened." The officer explained.
"I wanted them to die. I willed them too."
"I injected what I knew would kill them. It was easy."
"All i had left to do was watch them stop breathing."
"But people started coming and I had to go."
"Brooke and Lucas got what they wanted."
"I have no reason to be here. I'm innocent." Peyton insisted.
"Who were the babies that Brooke and Lucas buried?" The officer asked.
Peyton shrugged her shoulders. "None of that matters now." Peyton replied.
"So un cuff me and let me out of here. This murder charge is fucking bullshit!" Peyton exclaimed.
Slamming her hands on the table.
...
"Luke. Look at them. Our boys. Healthy. Strong."
"Those Scott genes." Brooke said. With a smile.
"We have nothing ready at home but we can fix that."
"I want to get the three of you home." Lucas replied.
"Momma's right here. So is daddy. We're never the two of you again. We're going to get you settled and warm at home." Brooke said. Looking to the boys.
"Let's get out of here." Lucas said. Leading the way out of the interrogation room.
Shielding them as Peyton approached. Glaring at Brooke and the boys.
"You think this is over. I promise you. It's far from it." Peyton said.
"Stay the hell away from my wife and our sons."
"You have nothing and no one. With no else to blame." Lucas proclaimed. As he lead Brooke. Kevin and Keith out of the police department.
"I won't be ignored or disregarded Lucas!" Peyton yelled.
Dan Scott appeared from the woods. Watching as Lucas and Brooke drove away. Knowing he did the right thing.
"Its better if we keep this quiet Deb." Dan said.
Deb nodded her head in agreement.
...
Lucas drove home slowly. Brooke was in the backseat. Holding Kyle and Keith securely in her arms as they moved and talked. Filling the car with life in the way young children did.
