Will

The kiss was an impulse.

Throughout the whole movie, I was painfully aware Nico was the one sitting next to me, and just having him there, so close, made every hair on my body stand up.

I wanted, more than anything else, to reach out and touch him, to hold his hand, to lean down and kiss him.

I wanted to feel his lips against mine and taste him on my tongue.

So when the opportunity presented itself, I grabbed it. Maybe it wasn't my best decision, but I couldn't bring myself to regret it, even now, when I'm chasing Nico through the street after he ran out of the movie theater.

"Nico. Wait!" I scream, but he pretends not to listen and continues walking as fast as he can.

I'm able to reach him when he is passing through a park that serves as a shortcut to get to the hotel.

I grab his arms and pull him back towards me. His back pressed against my chest makes my body tremble. I hear Nico sigh at our contact. He stands still for a moment, catching his breath, allowing me to enjoy the sensation of his body pressed against mine.

"Let. Me. Go." Nico orders after a few seconds, his voice sounding affected, but steady. His breath is shallow, just like mine.

"Just... Let me explain... Please," I say, and then let him go.

Nico walks away, putting a good distance between us before turning to face me.

He glares at me. His hair is a mess, he is flushed from the run and he's still panting, his skin seems even more immaculate in the moonlight, which affects my reasoning already shaken by our kiss.

"Explain," he demands, looking more impatient by the second.

I sigh, feeling a little frustrated.

"I know I shouldn't have kissed you that way, but… why are you so angry?" I ask.

For a moment, the anger disappears from Nico's eyes and his face is taken by surprise.

"Why am I so ... Will, you kissed me!" He says, frustrated.

"I know."

Nico runs a hand through his hair in frustration, making it even more messy, he looks around the park as if trying to calm down and then he turns his gaze to me and I know I shouldn't, but all I want is pull him toward me and kiss him again.

"Is this a joke to you?" He asks me. "Kissing me like that in the middle of the movies," he says, gesturing with his hand towards the movie theater. "Are you trying to mess with my head?!"

"No! How can you think that?!"

"How the hell am I supposed to think, Will? I am a guy. Why would you kiss me?"

My heart beats harder in my chest for what I am about to reveal.

"Because I like you," I say, taking a step forward, diminishing the distance between us.

Nico seems frozen in his place, unable to move, so big is his surprise at my words. He looks at me, analyzing my face for any sign of dishonesty.

"You like me," Nico repeats in disbelief.

"Yes."

I take another step forward, feeling encouraged when Nico doesn't move away. We are less than an inch away now and Nico has to tilt his head back a little to look me in the eye. I can almost feel the electricity in the air.

"But... I am a guy," Nico repeats, his brows furrowed, as if his mind was working more than ever to make the last events make sense.

"Believe me. I know," I say with a smile on my face.

I can no longer resist the urge to touch him, I reach out my hands and slide them down his arms stopping at his elbows, his breathing gets caught in his throat and he looks at me, his eyes clouded with desire, I pull him to me, ending the distance between us, Nico doesn't resist, he just lets himself be pulled.

"I don't understand," he whispers.

"Let me clarify. I feel attracted to you and I don't give a shit that you're a guy," I say as I drag my right hand through his army, enjoying the feel of his soft skin against my palm until it reaches his soft black hair.

I move my other arm around his waist, pulling him tighter against me. Our proximity is intoxicating. My whole body is affected by our closeness.

I put my forehead against his and close my eyes, giving in to the sensations that our proximity brings me.

"Will," Nico says with a sigh.

I open my eyes and meet black ones staring at me.

"At the movies ..." He starts.

"When you said you missed kissing and that you weren't dating, I saw an opportunity and I took it," I explain.

"You wanted to kiss me?" he asks uncertainly, still skeptical.

I raise my head so I can look at him. I move my hand from his hair and take it to his face, caressing his lower lip with my thumb. My mouth tingles with the expectation of another kiss.

"I still want to. More than anything," I whisper.

Nico leans forward, hiding his face in my neck.

"I can't believe this is happening," he whispers against my neck and then plants a kiss there that makes my body shiver.

Nico moves his hands over my body. He starts at my waist and goes up my abdomen until he reaches my nape. I close my eyes as he drags his lips through my neck, my jaw and I, unable to resist any longer, turn my head and press my lips against his.

Nico groans at the contact of our lips. His fingers intertwine in my hair, sends delicious shivers to run all over my body. My hands grab his waist, holding him close. When our tongues finally meet, I can't contain a moan. I hug his waist, holding him pressed against me, enjoying the wonderful sensation of having him in my arms.

Nico certainly knows how to kiss. His taste is addictive. It's like I can't get enough of him. The kiss intensifies more and more until Nico suddenly interrupts the kiss but doesn't move away.

"God! You know how to kiss," he says breathlessly, his hands still on the back of my neck.

I smile and lean in, planting a kiss on his neck, which makes him shudder.

"Funny, I was thinking the same thing about you," I say into his ear. I plant a kiss under his ear and look into his eyes again.

We stand looking at each other for a long minute until Nico breaks the silence.

"As much as I want to continue. We have to talk."

I nod.

"You're right."

We step away reluctantly. Nico then takes my hand and guides us to a bench near us where we sit.

"We have to have rules about this," he says.

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.

"What I mean is... I don't want a relationship. So this," he points from me to him, "doesn't mean we have some kind of commitment."

I take his words slowly, thinking about what he is saying and conclude that, for now, if that's all he's willing to give, that will have to be enough.

"Are you saying we'll be friends with benefits?" I ask, wanting to make it clear.

"Yeah. No commitment. And we are not going to have sex."

I can't avoid laughing, because at the level of attraction we feel for each other. I don't think it is possible for us to give up the temptation for long, at least in my case.

I look at Nico in challenge.

"You wanna bet?"

Nico smirks.

"Ah. Does the virgin think he's going to seduce me?"

"Why don't we make this interesting? I bet you'll ask for it by the end of the month."

Nico looks at me, the acceptance of the challenge clear in his eyes.

"And I bet I won't."

I extend my hand to Nico.

"We have a deal?"

Nico shakes my hand.

"Deal."

Nico stands up from the bench.

"Good. Now let's go back to the movies," Nico says.

"You want to watch the rest of the movie?" I ask in doubt.

"No, we're going to make out until the movie ends," Nico says as he extends his hand to me. "Let's go?"

I take his hands and Nico pulls me up. He doesn't let go.

"Let's go," I say.
