Chapter 40: Unexpected Surprises

Lana's POV:

Spring is finally here. The cold is slowly disappearing. Warmer weather is on the way. Students are back at Hogwarts for a new semester. To say that I was happy is a lie. Ahadi and Aunt Katie have been constantly abusing me. Even worse, Ahadi and Aunt Katie have been using Blaze, my arch nemesis to keep me in line. Ahadi has been abusing Uru as well. I have also been noticing a strange change in Uru's behaviors. Uru has been snippy recently and on edge. I thought at first it was because Ahadi was abusing her, but as I thought more of it there has to be something else going on.

I didn't want to ask her though. I don't want to make her more agitated than she already is. I tried talking to my brothers about it but they have no idea what is going on either.

Today was my first day of class since I have returned to Hogwarts. I was walking to class with Harry when Hermione and Ron ran up to us.

"Mom? Dad?" I asked.

"Harry! Lana! Hagrid... Hagrid's back." Hermione said. What? Hagrid is back? It's been months since we last saw him. I wasted no time running after my parents as we made our way to Hagrid's place. I didn't care I was ditching class at this point. I wanted to see Hagrid. Hagrid was like an uncle to me. He took care of me when I was being abused by my husbands back then.

I almost tripped down the hill at one point, but I regained my balance. When we got there, I was not too happy to hear a familiar voice I knew all too well.

"I will say this one last time." Professor Umbridge's voice squeaked through Hagrid's walls angrily. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I ducked behind the window to get a better look. Why is she yelling at Hagrid? What did he do to piss her off?

"I'm ordering you to tell me where you've been." Professor Umbridge demanded.

"I told you. I've been away for me health." Hagrid argued back.

"Your health?" Professor Umbridge spat.

"Yeah. Bit of fresh air, you know." Hagrid said.

"Oh, yes. As a gamekeeper, fresh air must be difficult to come by. Tsk, if I were you, I shouldn't get too used to being back. In fact, I mightn't bother unpacking at all." Professor Umbridge said. You could almost hear the sarcasm in her voice. I wanted to punch that bitch in her throat but I don't want to risk getting expelled.

When Professor Umbridge walked outside, slamming the door behind her, Hermione pulled me back to keep me out of sight from her. Professor Umbridge sniffed the air with disgust before putting more perfume on. She even put perfume on Hagrid's door! I had to hold my breath to stop myself from gagging at the horrible smell.

Hagrid let us inside his hut when Professor Umbridge left. Once we sat down at his table, he began telling us why he was gone. I noticed he had a black eye.

"Hagrid? What happened to your eye?" I asked.

"This is top secret. Dumbledore sent me to parlay with the giants." Hagrid explained.

"What?!" I said excitedly.

"Giants?" Hermione asked a little too loudly, causing Hagrid to shush us. He put a finger to his lips.

"You found them?" Hermione asked eagerly.

"Well, they're not hard to find. To be perfectly honest, they're so big, see? I tried to convince them to join the cause. But I wasn't the only one that was trying to win them over." Hagrid said.

"Death Eaters?" Ron asked.

"Yes. Trying to persuade them to join You-Know-Who." Hagrid said.

"And, did they?" Harry asked.

"I gave them Dumbledore's message. Suppose some of them remember. He was friendly to them, I suppose." Hagrid said and sighed.

"And, did they do this to you?" Harry asked while pointing at his black eye.

"Not exactly, no," Hagrid said. Fang barked madly at Hagrid as he put the raw meat over his eye. Hagrid gave up, giving in to his dog's commands. "Go on you have it then, you dopey dog," Hagrid said, tossing the meat over to Fang. Fang begins to chew at the meat aggressively. I heard thunder rumbling in the distance. Fang barked at the uneasiness.

"It's changing there," Hagrid said as we looked out at the dark sky. "Just like last time. There's a storm coming, Harry. We'd all best be ready when she does."

Uru's POV:

I feel sick to my stomach. I have been feeling weird since Ahadi raped me that day. Almost every morning I have been throwing up. I decided to go talk to my closest friends, Sarabi and Sarafina about my problem.

"What's wrong, Uru?" Sarafina asked me as I walked up to them.

"I- I do not know. I have been feeling weird ever since Ahadi had raped me. Every morning, I throw up." I said. Sarabi and Sarafina looked at each other.

"Uru, I think you might be... pregnant," Sarabi said. My eyes widened in shock. Pregnant? How could this be?

"What?" I said.

"We should check to be sure," Sarafina said.

"Okay..." I said nervously. Sarabi got me a pregnancy test. After I peed on the stick, we had to wait for 30 minutes for the test results to show up. 30 minutes later, we looked at the results. There were two lines on the stick.

"Uru, you're pregnant!" Sarabi exclaimed. I was in shock.

"No way..." I whispered.

"Congrats you are having a cub!" Sarafina said excitedly. But I was not excited. I was carrying the cub of a man who had raped me. I didn't even know if I wanted the cub. And Ahadi has specifically said I was not allowed to have any more kids after we adopted Lana... He is going to be furious when he finds out.

"I don't know if I want the cub... Ahadi will be furious." I said. Sarafina and Sarabi put comforting paws on my shoulders.

"Don't worry, Roo. We will figure this out. For now, we have to keep you safe from Ahadi." Sarabi said.

"Right..." I said nervously. I was very worried for my safety as well as my kid's safety. I knew I had to tell Ahadi. I just don't know how.

Lana's POV:

After visiting Hagrid, Harry, Ron, Hermione and I went back to the Gryffindor common room. When we got there, I noticed everyone had worried/excited expressions on their faces.

"Guys? What's going on?" I asked nervously as I sat down next to my brother.

"Lana. We need to talk." Mufasa said.

"Okay..." I said.

Uru took a deep breath before speaking up. "Lana... sweetie I am... I am pregnant." My eyes widened in shock after hearing the sudden news. My mom is pregnant.

"Mom! Your pregnant?" I cried.

"Yes, I am," Uru said. I sat there, still wide-eyed. Gwen and Margo went over to comfort me.

"I know this is a lot to take in, sweetie. But your mother is going through a lot right now." Gwen said.

"I don't know how to feel about this," I said.

"It's okay. It is a lot to process. Just know that we are here for you." Margo said, kissing me.

"Thanks," I said.

"I still need to tell Ahadi," Uru said worriedly.

"Tell me what?" A voice said. We looked ahead of us to see Ahadi walking up to us. He had an angry look on his face.

"N-Nothing," Uru said nervously. Ahadi gripped Uru's chin tightly, causing her to wince.

"Go on. Tell me or I break your jaw." Ahadi threatened.

"Leave her alone!" I yelled. I tried to get Ahadi off of Uru but Ahadi pushed me back. Mufasa got in front of me so that I landed on him instead of the hard wall.

"Don't go near him, Lana!" Miles shouted as he stood in front of me. Mufasa put protective arms around me.

"That's right. Don't you dare come near me?" Ahadi growled. Ahadi gripped Uru's chin tighter. "Now tell me," Ahadi growled.

"I- I am pregnant." Uru stammered. There was a long, intense silence in the room. Then Ahadi's loud roars filled the room which startled me. I whimpered and hid in my brother's mane to seek safety.

"DAMN IT URU! I TOLD YOU NOT TO HAVE ANY MORE KIDS AFTER WE ADOPTED LANA!" Ahadi roared.

"WELL, IT'S YOUR FAULT! IF YOU HADN'T RAPED ME THEN NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!" Uru yelled back.

"MOM! DAD! Stop fighting. You're scaring Lana." Mufasa said as I shook violently in his arms. But they didn't listen. Uru and Ahadi continued to argue about the cub. Tears streamed down my face as I watched them fight. My other parents, Miles and Gwen quickly went over to me. They helped me up.

"Come on Lana, let's get you out of here," Miles said. I held onto Gwen tightly as she helped me out of the room. My wives followed behind me as well as Simba. I was almost through the door until Ahadi stopped me from going further.

"Oh no you don't, you little brat!" Ahadi yelled. Ahadi went over to attack me, but Uru stopped him only for her to be pushed back by Ahadi's strong paws.

"Mom!" I cried. Since Uru is pregnant, she is fragile. Even though I didn't want another sibling, I couldn't let Ahadi harm Uru. I leaped up to push Ahadi off of Uru. Ahadi was pissed now. Ahadi attacked me from behind, causing me to land on my face.

"Stay down, brat," Ahadi growled.

"Lana!" Both Simba and Nala shouted. Simba tried to help me, but Mufasa held him back.

"Don't son, I'll handle this. You don't know what he is capable of." Mufasa said.

"But Dad! Aunt Lana is in danger!" Simba shouted.

"I know. That's why I'll handle it. I don't want you getting hurt." Mufasa said. I tried to get up but Ahadi held me tighter. Mufasa pushed Ahadi off of me. My heart pounded as I tried to go over to Miles and Gwen. Suddenly, Ahadi struck my leg without warning, causing me to fall. I cried out in pain.

"Shit!" Scar cursed under his breath. When Mufasa finally had Ahadi pinned down, he looked at the others.

"Get my sister and my mother to safety. NOW!" Mufasa roared, his tone leaving no room for arguments. The others helped me and Uru get out of the Gryffindor common room. I couldn't walk so Gwen had to carry me.

"We need to get her to the hospital wing. Her leg looks really bad. It might be broken." Hermione said.

"Madam Pomfrey can mend a broken leg easily," Ron explained.

"Okay, let's go everyone," Margo said. When we got to the hospital wing, we explained to Madam Pomfrey what happened.

"Please help! My wife was attacked!" Margo cried.

"Bring her here." Madam Pomfrey said. Gwen carried me over to a bed and set me down gently. As Madam Pomfrey attended to my leg, she also helped Uru make sure that her cub inside her stomach was okay. My family whispered comforting words to me as Madam Pomfrey was tending to my leg. Madam Pomfrey found it hard to work with me because my family was crowding around me, leaving her little room.

"Everyone out of the way! I need more space!" Madam Pomfrey shouted.

"But I don't want them to go!" I shouted when they were walking away.

"Yeah, please don't make us leave. She needs us." Miles said. Madam Pomfrey sighed.

"All right. But only 2 at a time please." She said. I wanted Nala and Margo so Madam Pomfrey stepped aside so they could sit next to me. Today's events were overwhelming because I found out a lot of information which was all too much for my small brain to take in. Hagrid's back, hunting giants. My mother is pregnant. Ahadi broke my leg.

I found it hard to stay awake while Madam Pomfrey was fixing my leg. I closed my eyes, allowing the darkness of sleep to take over me.
