Fuiasu nodded. "Very well then. Come Toga. We must needs get them to Atsuki." She did not wait for her mates response before she was off.
Toga stood, and studied his guards as he held his son to his chest. "This will not happen again. A mere child should not be able to outwit you. From this moment on, you are all assigned to the pups as their personal guard. If anything should happen to them…." He trailed off and shook his head, before following his mate.
The guards were not stupid, nor naive. They knew very well what their Lord was getting at. Enji, the one who had spoken, shook his head slowly. "It is as Lady Fuiasu said. The fact that Kagome-sama holds Miko blood could cause numerous problems, if it is revealed to others. We must all take great care that the nature of her abilities stays within our circle. As we should have to begin with, we will guard them as Kagome-sama did Sesshoumaru-sama."
Most of them nodded, accepting their missions before Enji sent them on their way. Only one man remained and everything about him was dark, from his coloring to the aura that surrounded him. "You have other orders for me, Enji?" he demanded softly, a dangerous smirk crawling over handsome features.
The head guard nodded and motioned to the body of the snake. "Dispose of that and follow his trail from here to find out what you can. Once you return, we will report to the Inu no Tashio."
