Edit 5/16/24: Fixed two typos

Hi guys! I hope you all like this chapter :)

"So, you guys lost too?" Langston asked Bowser and Clawdia when they arrived at Serene Isles.

Clawdia sighed. "Yeah. But, those plumbers and their friends won't be able to beat all of us at once! I know we'll win!"

"Mama's right! We'll beat those guys and take over this kingdom!" Bowser Jr cheered.

"Haha! Plus, it'll take those guys awhile before they get here, so we pretty much won already!" Bowser added.

"That's true! Wow, we actually did it!" Clawdeen grinned.

Back at Bowser's castle, Mario and his friends walked through the halls, making their way to the dungeon. A few Koopa Troopas did try to attack them, but Mario and Luigi stomped on their heads and kicked their shells out of the way.

"I can't believe it! We're finally saving Summer!" Kai smiled.

After getting past a few more guards, everyone made it to the dungeon. Mario opened the door and they walked inside. They walked past a few cells and gasped when they made it to the cell that the tropical princess was trapped inside of.

"Summer! Oh my gosh! Are you alright?" Kai asked, looking at the chains holding Summer.

Summer looked up at everyone. "I-I'm alright..."

Mario immediately walked towards the cell and looked at the two keys in his hand. He put one into the hole and turned it, unlocking the cell door. Mario then walked towards Summer, knelt down, and put the key in the keyhole on the chain around her ankle. The chains then disappeared, finally freeing Princess Summer. Mario smiled at her and the two walked out of the cell. Kai ran towards Summer, giving her a hug and kiss.

"I'm so happy we've finally saved you! Now we can save the kingdom!" Kai smiled, letting her go.

"I..." Summer whispered.

"Hm? Summer? What's the matter?" Kai asked.

Tears began to fill Summer's eyes. The princess then fell to her knees, sobbing.

"S-Summer! What's wrong?" Kai knelt down and tried to comfort his girlfriend.

"I-I'm a horrible princess!" Summer sobbed.

"Oh Summer, you're not a horrible princess!" Peach said as she walked over to them, Daisy following close behind.

"Yeah! Why would you think that?" Daisy asked.

"I...I got kidnapped! Twice!" Summer continued to cry. "I mean, at first I was going to wait for you guys to rescue me, but then I wanted to help save my kingdom too! I was so close, but I got captured again!"

Daisy and Peach comforted Summer along with Kai. Summer wiped her tears, but more began to flow down her cheeks.

"The Koopas have taken over Serene Isles. I've failed...My people must be disappointed in me. Or hate me."

"Please don't say that, Princess!" Luigi said.

"Yeah! We've only known you for a short time, but you seem like you care about your kingdom and the people who live there." Daisy added.

"Daisy's right! Plus, your kingdom is only two years old. I'm sure everyone won't be upset with you." Peach smiled sweetly at her.

"Yeah! I was kidnapped once, and my people love me. Peach has been kidnapped lots of times, and the Toads love her too!" Daisy replied, making Peach roll her eyes at that last comment.

Summer chuckled softly and wiped her tears away, finally calming down.

"You guys are right. Thank you so much." Kai helped Summer stand up.

"Now, let's go to Serene Isles!" Summer exclaimed.

"But how? Like I said, it'll take us awhile to get to Serene Isles by foot!" Luigi replied.

"Oh. You're right, Luigi. Hmm. What to do..." Summer began to think.

Everyone thought about what to do. Then, Mario spoke up.

"I got it! What about a Warp Cannon? I'm sure using one will send us to Serene Isles very fast!" He said.

"You're right, Mario! That's perfect!" Luigi replied.

"And I think there's one somewhere around here." Jasmine said.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go then!" Daisy grinned.

Kai held Summer's hand and everyone walked through the halls and out of Bowser's castle.
