Chapter 7: Tea Time
It was a day off the next day as well. Fifi was writing in her diary. "Dear diary, I'm writing ziss entry cause ma mind ees feeling a bit troubled. Fluttershy's manager at ze animal shelter says zat Pepé's teachings about romance ees not right. But Hamton likes moi. Surely, eet has worked to some extent. But now zat I sink of eet, eef Pepé ees confident een his wooing, how come he hasn't gotten a girl at ziss point? Could eet be zat zere's some flaw to his way? I don't know to do," said Fifi as she wrote in it. said Fifi as she wrote in it. Just then, Fluttershy knocked on her door. "Yes?" asked Fifi.
"Hello, Fifi. It's almost tea time. And I was wondering if you and Furrball would like to join me for tea downstairs? We can even dress up," said Fluttershy. Fifi thought for a moment.
"Sure. But Furrball and I will pick out our own outfits," said Fifi.
"Great. I'll meet you two downstairs," said Fluttershy.
Perhaps having tea will help ease ma troubled mind, thought Fifi. Furrball was wearing a simple turquoise bow tie and a black tuxedo jacket. He went down to where Fluttershy, Angel and some of her other pets were at. Jewel was wearing a fancy lady's hat.
"Oh. Furrball. I see that you're ready," said Fluttershy.
"Mm-hmm," said Furrball.
"Where's Fifi?" asked Fluttershy.
"I am, how you say, 'ere," called Fifi as she walked downstairs. Furrball blushed at what Fifi looked like. The purple skunkette was wearing a beautiful blue gown along with light opera blue gloves. She also wore a black choker, blue eyeshadow, pink lipstick and glass slippers. Fifi did a curtsey.
"Isn't that a little too formal?" asked Fluttershy.
"Nonsense. Eet's perfect for moi. What do you sink, Furrball?" asked Fifi.
"I . . . I think it's b-b-beautiful," stuttered Furrball.
"Merci," said Fifi. Fluttershy and her pets sat down to enjoy their tea. "Le sigh. I'm so glad zat I get to have tea weeth vous," said Fifi.
"Why's that?" asked Fluttershy.
"When I was forced to live with Elmyra before Buster freed moi, Elmyra always picked ze outfit for moi. And zey were always baby clothes or something ugly. And when she deed my makeup, I always looked like a disaster. But you, you give moi ze freedom to choose," said Fifi. She took a sip from her teacup.
"I'm happy for you, Fifi," said Fluttershy.
"This tea is delicious," said Furrball.
"Thanks," said Fluttershy.
"It's good to know you two are having a great time," said Jewel.
"Eevee," said Eevee.
"You mentioned that you were from a city called Canterlot. What was it like?" asked Furrball.
"It's a very busy city. Rainbow Dash is also from Canterlot too," said Fluttershy.
"Did you have any other friends in Canterlot that you may have left behind?" asked Furrball.
"There were three other friends who I got along with very well. First there was Applejack. Technically, she lived at a place called Sweet Apple Acres, which is outside of Canterlot. Her family grew the most delicious apples you ever tasted along with yummy apple baked goods," said Fluttershy.
"Hearing that from you makes me want to try one of her apples someday," said Furrball.
"Applejack's strongest characteristic is her honesty, which she had to learn at a very young age. Next is Rarity, a generous girl who wants to design dresses as a future career. She's been making dresses ever since she was younger. She even incorporates gems into her designs. Fifi, I'm sure you two would get along fine," said Fluttershy.
"Ooh la la. I would love for her to design a dress for moi," said Fifi. Fluttershy giggled.
"I'm sure she would," said Fluttershy.
"So who's the third friend?" asked Furrball.
"Pinkie Pie. She's a girl who loves to make people laugh and throw parties, especially birthday and surprise parties. She was raised by a family who lived at a rock farm. She can be silly at times, doing some stuff straight out of a cartoon," said Fluttershy.
"Like what?" asked Fifi.
"She wears a skirt that has balloons on them. Sometimes, she might actually pull on them off and blow it onto a real balloon," said Fluttershy. Fifi and Furrball laughed.
"Sounds like she'd be an excellent student for Acme Looniverseety," said Fifi.
"And she'd be great friends with Gogo Dodo cause he does crazy stuff too, considering he's from Wackyland," said Furrball. Sweetie Bird was once again spying on Fluttershy and her pets. She growled angrily before flying away.
Hope you enjoyed this sweet chapter. Fifi's starting to become conflicted about wether Pepé's teachings are helping her or not. Plus, we get to learn a little more about Fluttershy's life before she went to Acme Acres. And as you see, Sweetie's not happy about Furrball getting love. Next chapter, she's gonna try to take Furrball and Fifi's happiness away with Elmyra's help. But they'll learn that breaking in and entering is not really easy . . .
