Happy Fourth of July everyone and welcome back. I'm happy you're enjoying the story so far. I'm back again, but I might take a bit of time off. Long story short, I'm having a molar tooth pulled, and it's shattered to the point they need to pull out the roots with the gum already healing. It's a very long story. Point is I'm getting that ripped out this Friday so I might not update or even feel like writing next week, which is why I wanted to get this chapter out as soon as I could.

Anyways, I just wanted you to know in case I don't update for a week or two. And considering my history with updates, yeah at least I have a decent excuse this time. Anyways, you don't care about my personal life, I Don't Own either RWBY or Pokemon and I hope you enjoy the chapter.

"I know this is a little shocking but-" was all Cyllene could say before not only she but those around her heard a very loud shout that immediately cut off any and all other sounds from her or, well, anyone really, was suddenly drowned out.

"What do you mean I fell?!" Jaune all of a cried in a booming voice, causing Laventon and Cyllene to flinch slightly. "No, no... I can't, I refuse to beleive that. How, how?!" he practically cried as he turned his heel and begun his rant. "How the hell did I fall from a campsite, fall into some other world or something. What the actual hell!" he shouted.

"J-John, please, calm down-"

"I can't believe this... no, I can believe it. I do believe it, it's almost insulting that I can believe this, I just, out of everything that could've happened. I could handle Cardin; I could handle Cinder-fucking-Fall for the love of whatever gods actually exist. I could handle the Ozpin level of shit, I learned to live with the Ever After level of shit, but this... oh this..." he trailed off darkly as he continued to pace about. Cyllene didn't know who this Cardin or this, er... "Cinder-fucking-Fall" as he so elegantly put it, or whatever an Ozpin or Ever After level of shit was. Looking to her partner, it seemed just as lost as her.

"John-"

"I should've stayed home" he said, stopping in his tracks as he slammed a palm of his hand to his face, an audible slap resonating around the area. "I should've just stayed home, should've just listened to my parents. "Oh, I want to be a hero, live up to my family legacy." How the hell did that turn out, oh right. I fell into some other world, do the gods hate me or something, did I do something to warrant this?" he cursed out without a care about who was listening before letting out one last shout. "Damn it all!" he screeched before finally feeling winded, perhaps it was because of his new body, or perhaps he was just much more tired than he originally thought.

Either way, his rant came to an end and he fell to his knees and panted, only to see Juniper, while clearly afraid of how he suddenly reacted, still approached him with clear concern on her face. Taking a few seconds to recompose himself, he let out a long sigh, feeling twice his actual age than the two-thirds of what he truly was. "I'm fine, Juniper... just... processing" he said, trying to reassure her, which seemed to work as she nodded.

"...Well, it's good to see you got... all of that out of your system" Cyllene finally said, being a little more confused at some of the stuff he said. Professor Laventon spoke up next, looking at him with just as much concern as Juniper had.

"Though, I didn't expect you to react so violently" he said, his tone carrying some fear in it. Jaune had to visibly withstrain himself from wincing at the tone. He had kind of lost it there, and to be fair he still wanted to continue whatever breakdown he was having. But as much as he would've loved to, this wasn't the time or place for it. So with some of his bottled up trauma released, he sighed.

"I... I just had a long few weeks" he said with a frown. "Sorry for... all of that" he continued with a bit of shame. "I'm just stressed about everything" he finished, which was a pure understatement if he was being perfectly honest with himself. Not even Ozpin, Mr. Immortal and Reincarnating Ozpin, went through this. Oh who was he kidding, he wouldn't be surprised if this was somehow connected to him and Salem in any sort of way.

"I suppose?" Laventon asked as Jaune looked at them both with a frown. However, Cyllene nodded her head in acceptance.

"I understand, I cannot truly expect anyone in their right mind to react as such, considering the circumstances" she said. Now that she recalled, didn't someone of the Pearl Clan fall through the rift as well? People falling from the rift...

...That wasn't a good thing.

"Right... so, now what?" Jaune asked, actually unsure what to do next. Cyllene frowned but Laventon was the one who spoke up.

"Well, my boy. I guess you're truly in a real pickle if what the captain said is true" he said as he looked at Jaune in question. "Hisui is far from a forgiving place, the only known areas in Hisui are the two settlements and the village. I doubt you have anywhere to really go either" he pondered as Jaune frowned.

"Yeah... you're right" he said, already coming up with different thoughts on what to do. Memories of his arrival in the Ever After coming to light as well as how he planned on searching the different acres for a way back. "Guess I'll figure something out" he said as he turned to Juniper, who sat down, head tilted and ear twitching.

"...Well, for now, how about coming with us to the village?" Laventon asked as Jaune and Cyllene looked at him, one taken aback and the other with a frown.

"Laventon" Cyllene began as the professor smiled.

"Come now, Captain Cyllene. Even if it does seem strange, all things to consider, he doesn't seem that bad. He had helped me catch those three Pokemon afterall and it wouldn't be gentlemanly at all to leave him in the dust. I'm sure you could use some time to at the very least recollect yourself and all" he said. Jaune said nothing at that, staring at the man in disbelief. Was he being serious?

"Eva" Juniper perked up, the thought of avoiding another night camping seemed to excite the small fox, as Jaune looked to her and eventually nodded.

"Well, Juniper is up for it, and I could probably use a place to stay for the night" he said as he frowned. 'And all sorts of information on just where I landed' he had to admit. From what the professor said, this world, Hisui if he heard right, was probably really harsh. While he highly doubt there was any Grimm, or at least he hoped there wasn't any Grimm here, they made it seem like he could actually die out there. "I wouldn't want to be a problem or anything" he said.

"Nonsense, helping others is something we should strive for, and you seem like you could use some help" he said as Jaune chuckled a little. Use some help? Oh, if only he knew. Meanwhile, Cyllene kept her thoughts hidden, but eventually, she did nod her head.

"Very well, however he will be your responcibility" she stated, making Jaune smile a little, thankful for a place to stay for at least the night. "Now, I think it is time we return to the village" she said as she turned he heel and made her way back towards the village.

"True enough" Laventon said as he followed. As they made their way towards the nearby village, Jaune said nothing for a moment before he noticed Juniper begin to follow for a second. Turning her head, as if asking if he was coming, he had to shake his head with some amusement on his face.

"Yeah, I'm coming" he said, making his own way towards the village. Juniper yipping happily as it circled around him as he made his way to follow the two others. As he did, he failed to notice a lone figure looking down at him from their spot above, two eyes staring at him in curiousity and contemplation. It had to ask itself, could this one be the one who it was told about? If so, then it seemed like it's wait was finally over. But just to be sure...

It would have to wait patiently, until then, there where still others like it that needed to be healed.

As it saw him catch up to the others and enter the small village, a small smile formed on it's face, purple flames surrounding it as it decided, a small object in it's hands. 'I've... we've been waiting... a long time for you to arrive' it thought before vanishing into the oncoming twilight skies.

Jaune was strangely nostolgic while a sensation of comfort began to fill him, the village of Jubilife was alive with other humans, a familiar feeling that Jaune thought he would'nt feel for who knew how long. Looking around, the village seemed to be about the size of a small settlement similar to the ones one could've found outside the kingdoms of Remnant. Buildings, although very few in comparison, where slowly being worked on as a small aspect of a budding society began to take shape.

"Quite the wonderful sight, isn't it?" Laventon asked, a smile on his face as Jaune nodded. "While it's still a rather small village now, we hope that in time it will bloom into a fully fledged village" he said as they both sat at a nearby table, Cyllene having gone to fill in her report for the both of them. Perhaps it was because she didn't trust him enough to leave him unattended.

"I surely beats camping, that's for sure" Jaune replied with a small smile, one that made Laventon nod his head at seeing. "Though, I really wish people would stop staring" he said with a frown as he noticed some of the villages looking at him curiously and rather fearfully. A bit of sadness forming before he quickly dashed it. Laventon was about to say something but another voice called out instead.

"Can you blame them, boy?" a man said, somewhat annoyed at him as they both turned to see their server approach them with a frown. "Honestly, an outsider like you wanders in here with the professor and captain of the Survey Corps and you expect people not to question you?" he said, a tone turning a bit harsh at the term "Outsider." Jaune frowned at that while Juniper followed suite, although her's was one out of irritation at the man who seemed to be insulting the blonde knight she befriended.

"Now, Beni... you really shouldn't be so rude. I invited him here for the night, and besides, aren't we outsiders as well?" he asked as the man, Beni, frowned. Looking at the man in question, he appeared to be around Laventon's age, green hair with purple or violet eyes. Despite the frown that sat underneath a small mustache that matched the color of his hair but contrasted against the greying beard, Jaune could excuse someone for thinking he was just an old man. Yet, for some reason, the man seemed, off somehow. "Anyways, we'll have some of your potato moachi" Laventon said with a chipper voice. "The captain said she would be joining us as well" he said while Beni frowned.

"Alright then, the usual I take it?" he asked, getting a nod from the professor before he returned to his work. As he left, Jaune looked at Juniper, who glared slightly from Jaune's arms as he held her in fear she would try to attack him. It was strange however, Juniper had always seemed, so docile. Infact, he could be mistaken for thinking this wasn't Juniper at all if he hadn't seen her transform into an Eevee himself.

Come to think of it, why did she turn into an Eevee, and why did he suddenly return to being a teenager? Thinking back to that strange ring, it made him ask only more questions. And then there was that mark of his on his right hand...

"So my boy, I have to wonder, what is it you plan to do?" Laventon asked, snapping Jaune out of his thoughts regarding his situation of appearances with the situation of he placement. "I can't imagine you would last very long alone in Hisui" he said as Jaune frowned.

"I don't know... or at least not now" Jaune admited. "I guess, I'll travel and camp again" he said as Laventon was confused.

"Again?" he asked before remembering their earlier conversation. "Right, you said you were traveling, did you not?" he asked as Jaune nodded. "I must admit I doubt either of us expected you to fall into our hands as you did. It's a good thing you had though. I can't say what would become of you if a wild Pokemon where to come across you before we had" he said as he seemed almost afraid at the mention of a wild Pokemon.

"You mean like those three other Pokemon, or Juniper?" he asked, as Professor Laventon shook his head.

"No, from what it looks like, both of our Pokemon are much more docile than what can be found in Hisui. We've had several of our members nearly dying out there due to some really nasty encounters. Being alone there is a very dificult situation" he warned with a serious expression forming on his face. Jaune looking at the man and nodding, telling he was serious enough. Living with the plague of Grimm, Jaune knew how dangerious the world could be. Experiencing that and the Ever After first hand, it was enough experience to understand not to let his guard down.

Who knew just what kind of threats a Pokemon could pose if there were any like a Grimm out there. The thought of a Grimm being as dangerous as that Nuckleeve that he and his friends fought, or those Apathy Grimm Team RWBY had encountered was enough to make him want to prepare for anything.

"If Pokemon are this dangerous, why do you want to make that Pokedex thing you were talking about?" Jaune asked, a look of genuine confusion on his face. He had recalled some people trying to study Grimm back at Remnant. And there were many times where those didn't end too well. "I mean, it sounds incredibly dangerous."

"It is... don't get me wrong. But unless we learn more about them then we'll just be living in fear of them" he said as he turned to Juniper. "Pokemon are much more than monsters, they are living creatures that we humans live beside since ancient times. People even once claimed that humans arrived after them, and perhaps we will leave before them as well. But unless we learn to co-exist with them, then how long would it be until we find ourselves at war with them?" he asked rethorically.

Jaune said nothing to that, but could at the very least understand where he was coming from to say the least. Still, if Pokemon were dangerous, he was clearly skeptical about it. Not only that but the whole thing just sounded suspicious. Catching them in those Pokeball things.

"That is why I want to make the Pokedex, so we can bridge the gaps between us, perhaps learn to better co-exist with them. If is far from imposible, as you know yourself" he said, adressing Juniper, who yipped happily at the attention. Jaune was about to mention it was because Juniper was a special kind of "Pokemon." Yet, a part of him was somewhat happy, almost, dare he say, hopeful even?

"...It sounds like you have a long road ahead of you, sir" Jaune said, a smile on his face before extending a hand to him. "I hope you make a great Pokedex then" the "younger" man said as Laventon shook it.

"As do I, John" he replied, taking the hand and happy to have met the younger traveler who fell from the sky. "And I do hope you can find a way home. If there is anything we can help you with then don't hesitate to ask" he said as Jaune nodded at the offer.

"Thank-you" he said as Juniper nudged her head into Jaune's side, wanting attention as Jaune smiled, letting the man's hand go and petting the silver-furred fox on her head. Yet, strangely enough, as he did, he thought he felt something under the fur. Small lumps that seemed hard, he former antlers? Wait, did Eevee even have those or was that just because of Juniper's identity as an Afteran?

"Still, I have to say, you both seem rather close for only knowing one another for a few weeks. How did you two meet anyways?" Laventon asked as Jaune stopped petting Juniper, his hand stilled as the words of the man echoed around the table.

"Eva?" Juniper called confused as Jaune frowned.

"I... it isn't important, is it?" he asked, a new feeling of exposure coursing into him as Laventon frowned.

"Is... is something the matter, John?" he asked as Jaune's frown remained.

"It's actually pronounced Jaune" he corrected as he looked back at Juniper. "And, well... it's not a pleasant story" he said as he recalled how he was left for dead. The glare Alyx gave him, the horrorified look as Lewis looked on when Alyx lied to him, the Curious Cat's smile as he lost consiousness. "To make a long story short... she saved my life" Jaune said as Laventon frowned. Jaune sighed, and decided to tell his tale.

"I... wasn't traveling alone" he started, a frown on his face as Juniper scooted away form him, jumping up on the table. "I was actually with some others. There where four of us... me, a girl named Alyx, and her brother, Lewis. And we met a cat" he said as he frowned, not wanting to explain too much about the Curious Cat or the Ever After. "It was the four of us, we traveled for months probably. And while we were traveling, I thought... I thought something foolish. I thought that I had to protect them" he said, a minor lie but not entirely so. He wanted to keep the story straight. He wanted to keep them both safe.

"Protect them, there isn't anything wrong with that, was there?" Laventon asked with a frown as Jaune nodded.

"No, and I did my best, there were times I thought we were going to die, but at the same time... I guess I was being too pushy in a way" he said as his gaze hardened. "Then... we met a herbilist, and suddenly Alyx changed. It was as if she hated us, and the more I tried to help, the more I pushed her away. In the end, we went our seperate ways" he said as Laventon had a bad feeling about why. "...Sometime after that, I was saved by Juniper, she lead me to the Paper-a People" he said, almost slipping up.

"...The Papera People?" Laventon asked as Jaune quickly recovered, showing no hint of fear under a calm facade.

"Y-yeah, the Papera People were traveling people, really hospitable too. They really helped me out and didn't ask for anything in return" Jaune said with a smile. He got really lucky that Juniper found them when she did. He was too close to death, if it wasn't for them...

"I'd probably be dead if it wasn't for them" he said with a smile. 'I'll be sure to pay them back, I have to somehow... if I can anyways' he thought as he wondered if it was even possible to get back to either Remnant or the Ever After.

"Well, I must say that's quite the story. I'd love the chance to meet these Papera People that saved you. It seems like they're quite a good bunch of people" Laventon said as Jaune nodded and laughed. They really were. As they talked, Juniper looked on, listening to the story as she vividly recalled finding Jaune unconsious, near death, and a strong urge to help him. Yet, the way he talked about those kids, Alyx, Lewis... a cat?

"Anyways, what about you?" Jaune said, changing the subject. "You said something about the Survey Corps?" he asked with a bit of confusion. "I take it they investigate things?" he asked as Laventon smiled at the change of topic.

"Indeed" he said with a smile on his face. "While we're not entirely big in comparison to the others, the Survey Corps are those who are sent to catch and document Pokemon for the Pokedex. Not only that but they assist the villagers by helping them understand Pokemon and taking on missions similar to the Security Corps. Honestly if you want, I'd say you might make an excellent member yourself, Juan" he said, trying to correctly say his name.

"Jaune" Jaune again corrected. Laventon nodded.

"Sorry, Jaune" he said with a smile. "And I do mean it, with as much progress we've been making, having an extra set of hands is always welcoming" he said, more so offereing as Jaune was a little hesitant at that.

"I... don't know, I mean I really don't know much about Pokemon at all, you know?" he asked before a new voice interupted their conversation.

"I knew you'd be here" a girl's voice said as they turned to see two others approaching them. They both wore the same sort of clothes, blue suits that reminded Jaune of Cyllene as well as carried sachals similar to Jaune's own. The first one was a girl with long blue or slate grey hair, blue eyes looking at the other man in question with a small smile on her face as she wore what appeared to be a white cloth over her head.

Besides her was a boy around her age, with matching eyes and hair, instead wearing a contrasting red cap of sorts with a similarly colored scarf around his head. To Jaune, they looked a lot like siblings, but despite them both smiling at the professor, it seemed like they were a bit different. While the girl seemed confident, happy and outgoing, the boy beside her seemed a bit more composed, meek and smiled a bit nervously.

"Akari, Rei... I was wondering when you'd be back" Laventon smiled, seeing the two children in their current attire, "And jusdging by those uniforms, I take it you both passed the Survey Trials" he asked as the girl, Akari, nodded her head.

"That's right, we passed with flying colors thanks to those Pokemon you lended us" she said as Laventon smiled. Still, when her eyes turned to see Jaune, happiness was replaced with confusion. "I don't think we've met though?" she asked as she adressed the former Rusted Knight with a frown. Laventon however smiled.

"Come, pick up a chair" he offered as Akari and Rei saw them make room for them as the two newest members of the Survey Corps sat down beside them. "Akari, Rei, this is Jaune. Jaune, these are my assistants, or rather I should say former assistants now" he said, sounding happy regarding that, similar to a teacher introducing a graduated student.

"Come on, professor" Akari said with a smile. "We're still your students. That's not going to change anytime soon" she said as the boy beside her nodded.

"She's right, we'll always be there to help you" Rei said as he held out a hand to Jaune. "It's nice to meet you, Jaune?" he asked, making sure he heard right. Jaune himself nodded, taking the younger boy's hand and shaking it.

"Same" he said as Akari watched the exchange and addressed them.

"So... what brings you here, Jaune?" she asked, having gotten his name right. "You don't look like you're from the village, or around here at all" she said as Rei looked at him, seeing what she meant. His clothes looks strange to him, but what caught his eyes was the sword at his side.

"Is that a real sword?" Rei asked as Akari seemed surprised. Wait, he had a weapon? Jaune seemed take of guard for a moment before nodding, pulling Crocea Mors off of his belt and placing it on the table.

"Yeah, it's actuall an old family heirloom I took for my journey" he said, having it, still in it's sheathe, rest upon the wooden table for them all to see. Juniper, who moved under the table, looked up to see the faces of the two others. "Though, I don't think it'll be much use at the moment" he said as Akari frowned, Rei seemed nervous and Laventon confused. Seeing their expressions, he quickly put his sword back and smiled awkwardly. "Sorry, force of habbit" he said, somewhat a lie but not really.

"Eva" Juniper called out, jumping onto the table as Akari and Rei nearly leapt back.

"Oh, and this is Juniper, my partner" he said as the Eevee stood in front of them, a smile on her face.

"That's your Pokemon?" Rei asked, blinking in amazement. "I never seen an Eevee like that before" he admited, looking at it in amazement. His head turned to the professor, who smiled.

"I haven't myself, but it just proves that there are mysteries about Pokemon we still don't understand" he said as Akari and Rei smiled.

"So, why isn't it inside of it's Pokeball?" Akari suddenly asked as Jaune blinked for a second. Her what?

"Oh, well..." he began. "Juniper, doesn't really have one" he said as Akari and Rei looked dumbfounded. Laventon seemed curious about that. "I mean, I didn't even know what they where until meeting Professor Laventon" he said as said professor nodded.

"That is true, then again Pokeballs aren't needed for bonds to be made, as the clans of Hisui as taught us" he said as both kids nodded. Well that explains why the Eevee was out and about.

"Anyways, all we're waiting for is Captain Cyllene to arrive" he said as he grinned. "I'm sure she'll be happy to hear you passed" the professor said. Akari and Rei nodded at that.

"So, Jaune... you still haven't answered the question" Akari said as she looked at him. "I mean, you seem to know the professor and all."

"We actually met not too long ago" Jaune admitted, shocking the two children as Laventon laughed, a little nervously.

"Indeed" he agreed, confirming Jaune's statement. "He actually helped me catch some of the Pokemon that were runing around. He managed to catch two of them before the captain helped him with the third. Though given enough time, I'm certain our friend would've found a way to catch all three of them."

"Wait, you managed to catch two Pokemon?" Akari asked, suddenly looking at the blond in clear surprise. Hearing how he managed to catch two Pokemon, that was impressive.

"We... we barely managed to catch two of our own" Rei said, looking at Jaune in amazement. Jaune smiled sheepishly.

"I mean, it's not that big of a deal, is it?" he asked as Akari frowned.

"Not that big? Jaune... do you know how hard it is to even catch one Pokemon?" she asked as Jaune wasn't sure, showing that by looking at her with a quirked eyebrow. "Never mind, so you helped the Professor catch some Pokemon, huh?" she asked as Jaune nodded.

"So, are you a member of the Survey Corps as well?" Rei asked, curiously looking at the blond as he frowned.

"No, I mean, I don't think I can" he admited quietly, a look on his face flushed with uncertainty while looking at Juniper, who looked back with a frown. "I'm, we're, kind of wandering Hisui at the moment" he said, patting Juniper on the head once again, the fox accepting it with a smile on her face. "I doubt I could contribute too much" Jaune finished as Laventon frowned.

"Come now, you did a fine job, you should have more faith in yourself" the professor scolded as Jaune turned to him, but nodded with a small smile.

"Yeah, it's just, a lot right now, I don't even know where to begin with all of this" Jaune said, but kept a small smile. "Even if I'm not in the Survey Corps, I'll still help out if you need" he said, not like he could really do anything. But, he supposed he could do something. "I'm going to be traveling around, who knows we might meet up somewhere" he said with a smile.

"You're traveling alone?" Rei asked while Jaune turned to him. "That seems dangerous, with all of those recent disappearances and everything" he said as Akari and Laventon frowned. Jaune however seemed worried.

"Disappearances?" he asked, eyes narrowed as he was looking at the younger boy in question. It was Professor Laventon that spoke up.

"Lately, there have been strange disappearances around the region. Some of our men went missing every so often, and our search parties have found neither hint or hair of either of them. Not only us but the Ginkgo Guild, and the clans as well. Not only that but lately the Pokemon have been becoming more frightening than normal" Laventon pondered with a frown on his face. "The captain debated a full disbandment of the Survey Corps entirely, you understand. No one wants to needlessly risk anyone's lives."

"I see" Jaune said seriously, recalling instances where the Grimm would cause issues. Kuroyuri and that Brunswick Farms being good examples of such things. His skin crawled at the thought about it but otherwise said nothing after that. "If I find anything, I'll let you know" he said, experiences from his time as a huntsman and the Rusted Knight coming to the full front. Laventon smiled at the blond knight.

"As much as we would appreciate such a thing, I think it would be foolish for you do purposely endanger yourselves more than you already will" a familiar voice stated as they turned to face the blue-haired woman from earlier. Captain Cyllene making her way towards them with the stern expression still stuck on her face. "And it seems you two have returned from the fieldlands as well. I have heard from Zisu that both of you passed your exams, well done" she praised, a small, barely noticable smile on her face.

"T-thank-you sir" Rei said as Akari grinned.

"As for you, John" she began as Jaune looked at her, but did not bother to correct her on his name at that moment. "I have arranged a place for you to rest for the night, you and your Pokemon may take shelter at one of our vacant rooms" she said, eyeing the large building near what he was told was the Galaxy Expedition Hall. "However, you must meet with the commander first thing tommorow, he is interested in meeting you and questions you regarding your arrival" she said. Jaune said nothing but he could see where this was going.

It wasn't every day now that someone fell from a rift in time and space.

Jaune nearly let out a moan, debating whether he could decline and take his chances with the wild Pokemon and disappearing without a trace somewhere out in this strange world. "Yes ma'am" Jaune answered her with a tone that said he wasn't going to like it, with Laventon understanding his worry, Rei and Akari frowning in confusion, and Cyllene ignoring the young man.

"Very well, I will leave you to your thoughts" she said, ending the subject. "I wish you all a good night" she said before walking into the resturant, possibly to get her own fill of food. The table where the five currently sat was strangely silent, Laventon looking at Jaune and trying to reassure him, silently wishing him luck with tommorow's meeting. Akari frowning as she eyed the blonde in confusion and a hint of distrust, Jaune resting his head in an open palm, feeling a headache as how badly this was going to go with his luck.

And Rei, he tried to change the subject. "So... did you hear about the rumors?" he asked as Akari and Laventon looked at him, "I heard that the Security Corps claimed to see a man fall from the sky" he said. Jaune Arc could only moan.

As the time went on and the world became lost to the blanket of darkness, Jaune laid down on a small mat of sorts, it wasn't quite a matress but it was much more comfortable than sleeping on the ground. His clothes hung in a nearby wardrobe in his room as Crocea Mors leaned up against it, blue eyes looking towards the window as the night skies darkened the room. Looking outside, his mind ran a mile a minute, still trying to understand everything going on. 'Mysterious disappearances, wild Pokemon, organizations trying to catch said Pokemon' he thought. It was so strange to him, a reminder that, wherever he was he wasn't in Remnant or the Ever After.

Looking at the ceiling, he stare blankly at it, lost in his thoughts while Juniper slept soundly, huddled in a pile of cloth and other objects in a man-made bed of sorts. He would admit that he was envious of the former jackalope, a smile on his face as he let out a small laugh. if anything, at least he wasn't truly alone here. He could only imagine how hard it would be for someone like Akari and Rei to be in his position.

'Tommorow, then' he thought, unsure what it would bring, closing his eyes, he tried to get some sleep, knowing he was going to need it. However, hours after he finally doing so, he barely felt his right hand itching, a soft light escaping as his mysterious symbol contrasted against the night with a radiant glow.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Hisui Region, several dark clouds seemed to form overhead, under one of these clouds, came a large creatures, one that seemed like a monster in it's own right. Looking up, this strange beast of stone and flesh looked up from it's dwelling, eyes narrowed as it's mantis like body tensed and it's gaze turning into a cold glare. It's forearms, resembling gigantic stone axes, raised slightly as if to battle, was met with two red eyes that appeared from beyond the dark clouds, and as soon as it realized what was happening, a powerful ray of lightning rained from the skies.

All the creature knew was pain, was addrenaline, and an ever-growing desiring drive for power. It's body, once shades of brown and black, obsidian-like rocks on it's body, glowed in a powerful golden light. It's body shaking and stiring, energized and frenzied.

All-Mighty Kleavor roared, and All-Mighty Kleavor rampaged. And as it did, a shadow disappeared from above, returning to the void from wence it came from, with a single figure walking away, a smile on their face as soon, their dreams would be reached, and Hisui thrown into chaos, and soon...

Soon, they would meet Arceus...

...Soon, they would conquor and defeat Arceus...

...And then, they would be free from this cage, and watch everything he made, burn to the ground in his greatest failure yet.

...

And with that, the third chapter is done, a little short granted but like I said, I wanted to get this out before I got my tooth yanked out. Anyways, I'm glad you're all enjoying this so far. That being said, everyone seemed to be asking why I turned Juniper in an Eevee, a fox Pokémon instead of a rabbit or a deer Pokémon. The answer actually comes down to three main reasons.

The first is that I want to have each person have different Pokémon on their teams, it kind of gives the characters a bit more to stand out with. And the only rabbit and deer Pokémon in Hisui are, again, Bunneary and Wyrdeer's evolution lines. I am sticking with the Hisui Dex for the story, as much as I want to have Jaune have an Aegislash since it could be his literal ace, but I already have Jaune's team fully picked out by this point and am sticking with it.

The second reason is that, personally, I think Eevee would suit Jaune as a partner, considering both of them started out as the same. Both having potential in them to grow without needing to change who they are. The main story is Jaune traveling the Hisui Region and going through the paces of the game, although in his own direction and his own reasons for doing so.

And finally, it is actually a carried over idea. To get into that, I wasn't sure what story I wanted to make other than "Jaune goes to Pokémon World." So I had probably around 5 different ideas that could work. Jaune going to Kalos, Jaune going to Kanto, Jaune going to Hoenn, and some of those were when he was still in Beacon in between RWBY volumes 2 and 3. One of those ideas where Jaune, as the Rusted Knight, going to the Ransei Region from Pokémon Conquest, and how he was brought there by Arceus to become the Warlord, quell the fighting kingdoms, and eventually grow back into the Rusted Knight and become a hero, with Juniper as his partner. Which, for those who know Pokémon Conquest, is an Eevee.

So, yeah. It's just a mix of personal choices and carried over ideas. Which, by all means, if anyone wants to take of that last idea for a writing challenge feel free to let me know, which Jaune and Juniper go to the Ransei Region and become a Warlord of Aurora, go for it. The only reason I went with Hisui is because it made it easier to write in my opinion as well as I have a great idea how to end this story that not only connects the RWBY series as a whole but Pokémon as a whole as well. But anyways, I probably wrote more than needed on this one A/N. so if you're still reading. Have a great night and thank you.
