'You should check on the mothers of your children. Do so, and I will answer one question,' The gentle voice whispered.
Bob sat in his room one day looking at the ceiling, still days away until the new test would be set. Sighing heavily, he sat up while rubbing the back of his head, annoyed. Tom walked in, blinking his eyes, seeing Bob annoyed while chuckling.
"Is there something wrong, Bob? Usually, you would be sleeping or just watching television," Tom commented while slipping his hands into his pockets.
"Am I allowed to see the woman I slept with?" Bob asked, looking up at Tom, who blinked in surprise.
"What brought this on all of a sudden?" Tom asked, surprised.
"I don't know. I want to see them, is all. So, is it possible or not?" Bob asked, raising his right brow while staring at Tom.
"I would have to check with the higher-ups," Tom said, sighing while leaving the room.
Bob sat there, his head hung down with closed eyes, only to hear the door open again. He saw Richard walking in with a soft smile and hands behind his back.
"So you wish to have a small family check-up?" Richard asked, smirking.
"Yes," Bob answered while standing up.
"As Doctor Tom said, you've done everything we asked without resistance, even to anomalies that can break from their cells with a bit of effort," Richard started, walking around Bob.
"Can you not beat around the bush and give me a straight answer?" Bob asked, keeping his eyes on Richard, who chuckled but nodded.
"Yes, you may, with a small condition," Richard said, smirking.
"And what is that?" Bob asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Tell me about your dreams. Not the lies you told Doctor Tom. The truth," Richard asked, stopping in front of Bob, who blinked at the request and shrugged.
"Deal," Bob said, closing his eyes and sighing. "Now or later?"
"The sooner, the better," Richard said, raising his head slightly with a smirk.
"Okay, my dreams have always consisted of an anomaly. On the same day, I met them, excluding Dory; hers was unexpected. First, it was Liz, then Alesse, then Lily, and lastly, Laurence," Bob started, rubbing the back of his head. "I am not sure why I dream of them, but when I do, they notice me. Every anomaly I have met, I dreamt of them, and in turn, they are notified of my arrival somehow."
"Ah, yes. Doctor Tom told me you've named your lovers. Well at least the ones that had none to begin with," Richard remarked while rolling his eyes.
"But the most shocking thing is every time I dreamt of a new lover, one I would meet, a voice becomes clearer in my ear, and their form starts to take shape," Bob continued while clicking his tongue. "It's annoying, honestly."
The mention of this figure caught Richards's attention as he stared at Bob with narrowed eyes.
"Do you know what it is?" Richard questioned, only for Bob to shake his head.
"I don't. All I know is that with each lover I impregnate, this thing grows stronger," Bob answered, looking at Richard. "That's all I got."
Richard stared at Bob, who stood unmoved and unfazed before the higher-up sighed and nodded.
"We have a deal. Tom will guide you to your lovers to check in on them and give you a rundown on their condition," Richard said as he turned and exited the room, with Tom walking in a second later with a soft smile.
"Whenever you're ready, Bob," Tom said.
Bob nods and follows Tom out of his room while being escorted by two guards.
"Are they being treated well?" Bob asked, looking at Tom, who nodded.
"As well as we can. Some don't want our help," Tom admitted with a sigh.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Bob asked, raising his brow.
"Well, they are very cautious of who comes close to them, what they eat or drink, and what they do now," Tom answered.
"I want to see Dory," Bob said, causing Tom to stop and walk before the young man.
"The D-class?" Tom asked, confused, seeing Bob nod his head. "She's been put in a separate room from others, but that's all I know."
"She is still a mother of my child," Bob said, narrowing his eyes.
Tom sighed but nodded before leading Bob into a room with Dory, sitting down while rubbing her belly. Dory looked at Bob and glared at him while gritting her teeth.
"You," Dory said, with hate in her voice.
"Are they treating you well?" Bob asked, walking in front of her.
Dory stood up to glare into Bob's eyes, only to sigh and nod.
"Yeah. They are treating me better than before, that's for sure. Eat when I want and even have some people tending to my needs. Hell, before I had sex with you, I was set on death row. Treated like shit and given just soup and bread for a meal," Dory admitted as she sat down, rubbing her belly. "I don't know why but...thank you."
"Have they done any tests on you?" Bob asked with concern.
"Now and again, but nothing too bad. Blood samples and the like. Nothing crazy," Dory admitted.
Bob nods before walking up to her and touching her chin.
"What will you do with our child?" Bob asked, narrowing his eyes.
"I...I..." Dory stuttered. "I want to keep him. Raise him."
Bob remained silent but nodded with a smile before leaning forward to kiss her lips tenderly. At first, Dory was shocked but smiled before returning the gesture. Their lips locked as they made out for a few seconds before Bob broke their kiss, allowing them to breathe heavily.
"Do you regret it?" Bob asked, placing his forehead against Dory's.
"Not one bit," Dory answered.
"...I will visit more often. If you'll have me, that is?" Bob asked.
Dory only nodded as Bob smiled, walking pack while his hand caressed her cheek. Tom opened the door as Bob exited while looking at Dory, who sat in her chair rubbing her belly. As they made their way to Bob's next lover, Tom could not help but clear his throat to get the young man's attention.
"It seems your ability doesn't work on pregnant women," Tom noted while looking at Bob, who shrugged.
"Maybe it's only those I impregnated," Bob countered.
"Something to test later," Tom added.
"You're letting me see everyone I did impregnate. It's the least I can do," Bob replied.
Tom smiled as they made their way to SCP-049's cell, which Bob entered to see Liz lying in a pile of pillows and her head resting on the floor. Bob smiled at this and made his way to Liz alone before stopping in front of her and seeing her passed out. It did not take long before Liz sniffed the air and chuckled while opening her eyes to see Bob kneeling before her.
"What...brings you...here?" Liz asked, closing her eyes again.
"You and our child, of course," Bob answered with a smile.
"Our child," Liz repeated before chuckling again. "Only death awaits our child."
"What do you mean?" Bob asked, placing his hand upon her snout.
"Only...the strong survive," Liz answered.
"You would kill our child?" Bob asked.
Liz only shook her head before sighing.
"I...will pass on...when our child...is birthed," Liz admitted.
"Why?" Bob questioned.
"Only one...can live?" Liz answered, opening her eyes slightly.
"No," Bob said, shaking his head with a smile. "Not while I still draw breath. You will live, as will our child...and I will visit you more to ensure that happens. Okay?"
Liz chuckled but nodded, allowing Bob to lean forward and kiss her maw.
"Okay," Bob repeated as he watched her eyes close.
Bob left the room while turning to look at Tom.
"Ever since she became pregnant with your child, she has been extremely passive. No outbursts or even disobedience," Tom commented. "So, as of note, females impregnated by you become very passive."
Bob merely nods as they reach the next cell, SCP-049, who made a small baby pin followed by an infant bed. Allese hummed at her activities, followed by drinking some tea for herself. By the time Bob entered the room, Allese turned to Bob and clapped her hands together before slowly walking toward his direction.
"It was about time you came to check up on your child and me," Allese commented as Bob walked forward to wrap his arms around her waist.
"Things kept me busy aside from being too lazy at first," Bob admitted earning a laugh from Allese.
"Lazy is hardly an excuse to check on the mother of your child," Allese pointed out while poking his nose playfully.
"I know. So, have they been treating you well?" Bob asked, looking at the window only to have Allese place her finger on his chin and turn the young man's attention to her.
"Yes. More so than usual. Blood samples and the like," Allese answered.
"Have you been well?" Bob asked, caressing her face, which she leaned into.
"I have. I am much better now that I get to see you again," Allese answered, brushing her hand against his cheek.
"I will visit more than," Bob said, earning a nod from Allese.
"You better. I know you are a tool for the foundation, but seeing how obedient you are, it shouldn't be hard to see your lover's more," Allese commented while tilting her head.
"You know them well," Bob said, taking her hand from her cheek and kissing it.
"Until next time," Allese said, as Bob nodded and left to Tom as they made their way to the next cell.
The next cell was SCP-096, Lily, as Bob entered to find her sitting on the ground, humming to herself while rubbing her belly. Bob watched Lily tend to her stomach before walking up behind her smiling.
"Hello, Lily," Bob whispered, not to scare her.
Lily slowly turned to look at Bob and smiled while nudging her head for him to come closer. As Bob was in arms reach, Lily took her lover's hand and placed it upon her stomach.
"Child. Ours," Lily whispered. "Pain. Gone."
Bob smiled, rubbing Lily's belly before humming with her. The two stayed like this for a minute before Bob sighed and stood to kiss Lily's head.
"I will visit more," Bob said, watching Lily nod silently.
As Bob was escorted out of her room, Tom rubbed his head, unsure what to ask.
"So you plan on visiting them more often?" Tom asked, looking at Bob, who nodded.
"Is that a problem?" Bob asked, glancing at Tom.
"No. Not at all. So that you know, you will be required to take more tests to see them more," Tom notified, causing Bob to raise his head while he stopped walking.
"No. I will see them when I want to. Once a month for each. No requirements. You are already getting blood supplies from my lover, and I am pretty sure you are also planning on taking their children away when they are born," Bob warned, looking at Tom. "And I am going to warn you right here and now. If you do. Something bad is going to happen. What's going to happen? Fuck if I know, but what I do know is that it isn't going to be good. Got it?"
Tom was caught off guard at this while staring into Bob's eyes, only to nod a second afterward.
"Although I will admit, I kinda don't want to see Laurence," Bob admitted while turning and going to SCP-106's cell. "The only one to make me feel pain for an extended period."
Tom exhaled as sweat rolled down his forehead before following Bob. By the time Bob entered 106's cube, all he could see was Laurence standing in the center with her belly slightly bulging. A shiver ran up Bob's spine before he shook his head and left the cell without issue. As Laurence's door slowly began to close, he saw a white figure knelt in front of the old lady with its hand on her belly. Once the door closed, Bob stood there confused before shaking his head, not wanting to deal with whatever he just saw.
Now within his cell, he could not help but stare at the ceiling again, trying to picture what he saw, heard, and felt from all of his lovers. No matter what it was, he could not help but smile as well before slowly closing his eyes.
'You're going to be a father to many children. Bob Romaz. And this is only the beginning,' A gentle voice spoke into his ear as he fell asleep.
To be continued...
Alright, so I have to note some stuff out for a vote to count:
-SCP has to be commented on, not messaged.
-The SCP number must be added, not the name.
-Only one vote per comment.
-(For now)...no repeats.
