Disclaimer: I don't own the 2017 IT movie or the 2019 one. I don't own the 1990's IT miniseries nor the book! All credits go to Stephen King and Warner Bros!

Also, let me know how y'all like it so far! I'd love to hear your thoughts! I've been having a lot of fun writing this lately!

They continued walking through the meadow until they walked into town. They walked straight over to where the parade was happening, and just stood on the roadside, watching.

Then a few minutes later, everybody else but Richie and Eddie, were walked into one of the alleyways. On the wall was all the missing posters of kids that have gone missing.

From the middle of the road, Richie had grabbed someone's tuba, and was trying to play it, while the guy kept grabbing for it. But Richie just wouldn't give it up. He held it out of the guy's reach just so he could keep on trying (keyword) trying to play it. He's not that great of a tuba player.

They were looking at the missing poster of Edward "Ed" Corcoran. "They say they found part of his hand all chewed up by the Stanpipe." Stanley said, shuddering just thinking about it.

"He asked to borrow a pencil once." Ben said, gulping hard just thinking about the fact he lost his hand.

Bill walked up the poster and lifted it up, to reveal another missing poster. Betty Ripsom's. "It's like she's been f-f-forgotten because Corcoran's missing." He said.

"Is it ever gonna end?" Patrick asked, looking at them with a hopeful expression on his face.

"W-w-we can only hope so." Bill stuttered, as a loud commotion came from behind them.

"What the *uck, dude?" Richie complained, after the tuba player finally got his tuba back. He sauntered over to us, dragging his feet on the ground.

"What are you guys talking about?" Eddie asked, holding two ice cream cones in his hands, which were both dripping all down his hands.

"What they always talk about." Richie said, giving him a knowing nod towards the brick wall, which had all the missing posters covering almost every inch. Starting from 1908 to this year. The most recent ones were Ed Corcoran and Betty Ripsom.

"I actually think it will end." Ben said. "For a little while, at least."

Richie stared at him, confused. "What do you mean?" He questioned. "It seems like it's been happening for weeks on end. Why would it stop? How could you even stop something like that? It's nearly impossible."

"It's not exactly impossible, Rich." Patrick said, coming to Ben's defense. "It could happen."

Richie mumbled in his face, obviously mocking him, but Richie just turned his attention back to Ben. "But what do you mean by you think it'll end for a while?"

"So, I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events. The Ironworks explosion in 1908, the Bradley Gang in '35, and The Black Spot in '62. And now kids being... I realized this stuff seems to happen..." Ben said, and Patrick and Bill said it with him. "Every 27 years."

"Okay, so, let me get this straight." Eddie said. "It comes out from wherever to eat kids, for like, a year? And then want? It just goes into hibernation? How does this make any *ucking sense? Because it doesn't to me."

Stanley tapped his head, thoughtfully. "Maybe it's like... what do you call it? Cicadas. You know, the bugs that come out once every 17 years."

"You do know that those are actually a myth, right, Stan?" Richie said.

"What? No, they're not!" Stan retorted, his eyes flashing with anger.

"Whatever." Richie snorted, as he rolled his eyes.

"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that all the bad things that happen in this town are because of one thing. And evil thing that feeds off the people of Derry." Mike said.

"But it can't be one thing." Stanley said. "We all saw something different. Right?"

"Maybe. Or it maybe It knows what scares us the most and that's what we see." Mike stared right at each and everyone of them. "How about you, Eds? What did you see?"

Eddie began to stutter. "I-I-I saw a leper. He was like a walking infection."

"But you didn't." Stan said. "Because it isn't real. None of this is. Not Eddie's leper, o-o-or Bill seeing Georgie, o-o-or the woman I k-k-keep seeing."

"She hot?" Richie asked, giggling into his hands.

"No, Richie. She's not hot. Her face is all messed up. None of this makes any sense. They're all bad dreams."

"I don't think so. I know the difference between a bad dream and real life, okay?" Mike said.

"What'd you see? You saw something, too?" Eddie and Patrick both asked.

"Yes." Mike said in a soft tone. "Do you guys know that burned down house on Harris Avenue? I was inside when it burned down. Before I was rescued, my mom and dad were trapped in the next room over from me. They were pushing and pounding on the door, trying to get to me." Mike could hear the sounds of his dead parent's screaming voices in his head.

"But it was too hot. When the firemen finally found them, the skin on their hands had melted to the bone." Mike said, as tears formed in his eyes. "We're all afraid of something."

A firecracker blew up behind them and Richie jumped, then turned to look. "Got that right."

"Why, Rich? What are you afraid of?" Eddie asked, blinking up at him.

Richie gulped and turned his attention back to his friends. "Clowns." Was all he said. It explains all it really needs to: Clowns can be ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING.
