"So I'm- prisoner?" Drat, I missed a word.

Soundwave played the clip again, turning to press something on his counter.

"Great, just great." I muttered under my breath, too low for him to hear I hoped. No need for my jailer to know I have the ability to talk, not now, not ever.

I ate a sandwich and then decided to try and climb the very tall counter that Soundwave was looking at. I approached the side farthest away from him and looked for footholds in the smooth-ish metal. I found a few and began to climb- after putting on a song of course-, putting myself in danger that I didn't care about. I slipped here and there, but I made it, much to the probable annoyance of my jailer.

"Ah- hey!" An offended voice said as I was grabbed by a big metal hand. I thought I would be put back on the ground, but I was placed on his shoulder. I saw that the counter looked very noticeably like a control panel, just the alien version of one. I couldn't read any of the buttons he pressed, so I couldn't figure anything out. I tried learning what keys were what from looking at Soundwave's actions. I eventually figured out that it was like a human keyboard, hardly any help from my jailer.

Something that looked like an error sign appeared on a holographic screen. Being curious me, I slid down from Soundwave's shoulder and stared at it. If I acted like it was a mix of Japanese and Chinese- although my knowledge was limited in those languages-, I could substitute words as letters and understand what was written.

Wr_n_ pa_s_rd _r _s_na_e. And if I played it like it was that stupid app game I liked doing...

Wrong password or username. It said. What was he trying to hack into?

Hopefully not something about me.

I jumped on a few keys, alerting Soundwave to my meddling. I dodged his hand- its easier to dodge a hand than a tentacle- and continued to jump on buttons, stomping on the 'enter' key when I was done.

A whole bunch of files and pictures appeared, not one of them about me it seemed.

"That actually worked, password is really password and username is really username." I said incredulously. Looks like reading all those detective books really did help, take that Merion! I paused my thinking and focused on Merion. She had been my first bully in kindergarten- always getting me in trouble too-, telling me that I was a nerd for reading books all the time. Well, it seems that she was wrong.

I was scooped up and placed gently on the floor. So much for helping him, not even a thanks or something- though to be fair, I didn't know what I was doing anyways. Consider me lucky.

Although I never have felt so... oh well.
