... call me lazy, I don't care because it's true..

I sighed for what had to be the sixth time. I'd expected life with aliens who were trying to conquer earth would be a lot more exciting than this. the most I had done was sit, do my daily rounds around the room, and sit some more. It was truly boring, made even more gloomy somehow by the dark walls of Soundwave's room.

How I longed for the outside! I was tired of this room and it's depressing colors. I'd take even a dead leaf, just any color other than grays and blacks and whatever other dull colors they had on this ship.

I messed around with a knife at one point and accidentally cut myself. I didn't have my usual reaction of 'Bandaid anyone?', instead, I just stared at the wound and did nothing to stop the blood flowing down my arm. That was how out of it I was.

My jailer- ahem, Soundwave- was out of the room, so that meant I got to suffer alone. Yay for me. I thought sarcastically. By the time Soundwave came back from wherever he was, I had been reduced to a crying mess on my bed from boredom. I heard- and felt- footsteps coming towards me. Soundwave never made a sound when walking, so hearing him move was slightly confusing. I turned to him- wrapped in my blanket still- and sniffled.

"Problem?" A voice recording asked. I sniffled again then slowly reached for my phone to reply. I almost dropped it, but managed to bring it to myself without dropping it. I scrolled thru my ever-growing collection of clips and found one similar to what my point was.

"It's so boring here that I wanna die!" A dramatic anime voice cried out. I looked up at Soundwave, tears forming in my eyes, then I looked back down and buried my face in a pillow. Then he did something I hadn't expected; he gently yet awkwardly- stroked my head with his fingertips. I froze, goosebumps running down my arms at the touch. I slightly raised my head and glanced at him thru the corner of my eye to silently ask him why.

he didn't respond.

Typical of Soundwave. Then again, why did I think that he would say anything?

Meh.

Anyway, "Outside-, where all manner- of things- are!" I played that, a little sleepy from Soundwave patting my head. I was suddenly picked up- carefully of course- and placed in a metal hand.

"Outside- for a little." He cut a part of my clip to make his response. I was excited about going outside, my excitement showing thru my wide grin.

"To where- the wind blows!"
