Ch.17~ Sunny Side of Life
I peeked into the main area I saw everyone crowding around the console. I could hear a voice of an unfamiliar mech, who were they talking to? Gathering up my courage I went over to tug on Bumblebee's pede. He turned and knelt down as I pointed at the com screen, he nodded.
'That is Wheeljack he was a comrade of Bulk's and a Wrecker like your brothers. He said he heard something about other wreckers and is coming with the message. Maybe then we can convince Jackie to stay here and fight.' Bee explained, oh so this was Blinky?
"Blinky is coming here, wow, I wonder who they are looking for… maybe my brothers!" I hollered, I began to jump up and down at the thought of my brothers coming here.
"Who is that screaming in the background, is that Miko?" Wheeljack asked.
"Not this time she is at school, we'll introduce you to her when you get here." Bulkhead replied full of excitement.
"A new member, you might yet get me to stay ya big bolt ya, I'll send coordinates once I land." Wheeljack replied and the comm ended.
"Bulk that was Blinky right, you two were thick as thieves right, Ja always told me about you two." I questioned, he nodded and scooped me up.
"Yep that's him, my best bud, we did almost everything together, I think he'll like you, you can be our little commander." He cooed, I giggled at that.
"It's like Ja said, 'Never judge a bot by their size', I always wondered what it was like being a wrecker." I chimed.
"Heh, yeah learned that the hard way, your Carrier could even flip me. Never told him we would protect ever again, now with you little missy the Wreckers will protect our little commander." He replied.
"And get her slagged, not on my watch Bulkhead." Ratchet stated, we both froze at the sheer venom in his tone.
"Sorry Ratchet got carried away." He muttered setting me down.
"Come on Rache, it's just a nickname, besides my big brothers are Wreckers and so was Ja, they are like family to me just like you guys." I defended, he sighed and rubbed my helm.
"Yes, I guess so, still you are no commander understand."
"I know Rache, do you think it could be my brothers Wheeljack ran into?" I asked.
"Maybe, there are many Wreckers Star."
"I guess so… Still there is a chance."
"Yes, don't get your hopes to high though."
"I make no promises."
"Of course not, now mind going on your maintenance route."
"On it!"
(Wheeljack's POV)
I chuckled as Bulkhead lead me through the portal, I saw the familiar sight of his team. I could hear pede falls, they seem so soft, I turned to see a small feme racing down the hall. Bulk patted my back and he knelt down and scooped her up. She turned to me a big smile that seemed so familiar.
"Jackie met the newest member of Team Prime Stargazer." He introduced, I ginned rubbing her helm.
"Nice ta meet ya kiddo." I greeted.
"I can't believe it's you, I heard so many stories!" she cheered.
"Reliving your glory days, you big bolt." I teased, he chuckled shaking his head.
"Bulk did tell me stories, but I heard more about you from your old commander." She stated, I looked to Bulk confused.
"Little Star here is Commander Jazz's daughter." Bulk explained, I looked down at her in shock.
"Carrier told me so much about you Blinky!" she chimed.
"Oh Primus not that name…" I muttered, Bulk chuckled.
"She has been with us for three months now, she knows so many embarrassing stories about us too, if your lucky she might tell you some." Bulk stated.
"Got any good ones from Boss Bot?" I asked curiously.
"Opmis, well I have seen him fall asleep standing up while writing reports, but he keeps typing it's just gibberish though." She whispers into my audio I let a laugh and looked at her a mischievously smile just like the twins… Odd…
"So Wheeljack who was this message you receive from?" Optimus asked, I held up a data stick.
"Recorded it here, let's watch it, rather not ruin the surprise." I teased.
"Plug it in then Glitch." Doc grunted stepping back from the main terminal.
"Grouchy much Doc." I replied as I loaded up the file and everyone crowded behind me to watch.
(Star's POV)
I looked as the message blinked on, my optics widened as I saw my big brothers on screen. I held onto Bulk tightly as they talked about me and how they were searching for me. Did they know what happened to Carrier? I saw Sides begin to tear up as they explained finding the ship and everyone gone. They made one last plea for help to find me and it ended.
"I was thinkin'…" Jackie began.
"Play it again!" I begged, he looked at me confused but replayed it.
"Help us find our little sister she is all the family we have left." Sides pleaded as the transmission ended.
"I was thinking that me and.. hey kiddo you crying?" Jackie asked.
"Here, come here Star." Racthet soothed, I almost jumped into his arms.
"Wheeljack where did you catch this transmission?" Optimus asked.
"Just outside quadrant seven in the Delta system, I figure they must be in Alpha system." Jackie answered seeming confused as I look at them in anticipation.
"Bumblebee may I ask you to accompany Wheeljack to locate and bring the Twins here." Optimus stated, Bumblebee quickly saluted.
(Wheeljack's POV)
"I wanna go too!" Star wailed, Doc looked at her shaking his helm.
"Too young kiddo, maybe when you grow up." I soothed.
"But they are my brothers!" she cried, wait I do remember the twins mention that Jazz took them in as younglings.. meaning she was who they were looking for.
"Took you minute there heh Jackie." Bulk teased, I nodded looking at her.
"I promise to bring those two knuckle heads back, but we may be heading into tough space, once I tell them you are here they will race here." I soothed.
"You are too young to leave planet you can only leave base while under supervision." Doc added, she puffed her cheeks out.
"No fair! I wanna see them!" she sobbed, was this a tantrum, it was so tame besides her yelling.
"I assure you Star the Twins will come here soon, you know Bumblebee will return with them." Optimus stated patting her helm.
"Bee you will bring them here, right?" she asked.
'Of course, Star, don't worry I got it!' Bee buzzed filled with vigour.
"Yay! Bee!" she cheered, he picked her up and they hugged.
"Hey kiddo what about me?" I stated, she turned to me and ran up and jumped up hugging my abdominal plating.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Jackie!" she cried, I chuckled and hoisted her up.
"I get it kiddo, I will bring them in for ya." I hushed, she smiled and kissed my chinplate. "You are cute, so me and little yellow here should depart soon then."
'Star can you watch Raf for me?' Bee asked, she nodded as I set her down.
"Don't worry I can handle that Bee, you be safe in space." She answered, he knelt down and rubbed her helm.
'I will, trust me once I find the twins I will be back in a cycle.' He soothed, she began to tear up as he rubbed her helm.
"Don't die." She ordered through tears.
'I promise, I'll be back with your brothers before you know it.' He hushed.
"Bumblebee return as soon as you can, we need our scout." Optimus ordered, he nodded saluting the leader. "Wheeljack I entrust you with our scout and returning with the Twins, I wish you two a speedy trip and safe return."
"Sure sir come on little yellow, Doc mind opening the bridge?" I asked, he nodded as Star went to his side waving at us sadly. "Be back soon as we can kiddo."
'Stay safe Star see you when I return.' Bee added, she nodded still waving as we walked through the bridge to my parked ship.
"Don't want leave that cute thing too long, let's get going." I stated, I turned to see him nod determined.
(Stargazer's POV)
I sat in the parking lot of the school, I was allowed to leave base to pick up Raf and anyone else back to base. I saw Raf leave, and I used my hologram to wave him down. He raced over, and I offered him a helmet, which he put on.
"So where is Bee?" he asked.
"Bee is out in space, he'll be back soon, I'll explain more at base." I replied, he nodded and got on hugging my hologram.
With that I began to drive back to base, I was careful with my driving, I was to protect Raf for Bee. It took longer than normal but I arrived in the base and Raf got off running up to their area and I transformed. Walking over I motioned him to sit down as I sat on a crate to talk with him.
"We got a com from Wheeljack and he arrived today with a recording of a message he found in space. It was my big brothers, they were looking for me, so Bee went with him to bring them here. They both said they shouldn't be gone for too long." I explained, he nodded a smile.
"It will be nice to meet your brothers, Bee said they were all best friends." Raf stated.
"Yep, close since they were younglings like me, hope they can find them easily, space is big…" I muttered.
"Don't worry if Bee said he would be back I know he will, I have faith in him." Raf soothed.
"You're right, if anyone can find them it is Bee." I replied.
"Can I see the recording?" Raf asked, I nodded and pulled it up on my datapad.
(Sunstreaker's POV)
A comm flashed to life on my screen, I saw Wheeljack and behind him.. Bumblebee, I shook Sides awake. We both looked at the screen and high-fived, we knew one of our Wrecker friends would find us. Not only that but it is Wheeljack in his ship and with our little brother Bumblebee.
"Bee, Wheeljack, Jackie did you steal our Bee?" Sides teased, I grinned as Jackie chuckled.
"Nope, not this time, little Yellow tell these two the surprise as I get closer." Jackie joked as Bee took over the monitor screen.
"Did you come out here to help us find our sister Bee?" I asked.
'I already found her, she is on Earth with Team Prime, and I am here to bring you two there.' He stated, we both looked at him in shock.
"She is with Optimus?" I questioned, he nodded.
'Her pod crashed on Earth a while ago, we brought her back to base and learned about what happened, she remembers it all that happened. She is so strong, you two will be proud, she begged me to hurry back with you.' He answered.
"Of course, she is!" Side chimed tears in his optics.
"Seriously Sides, can you not save tears for when we see her." I stated, he rubbed away his tears.
"We got inbounds, time to fight we can tow ya back once we get rid of these pests!" Jackie yelled, I saw the blips and got the guns running.
"Sides take the boom stick out and help." I ordered, he nodded racing to his makeshift sniper position on the ships side.
"Let's show these fraggers what we are made of." Jackie ordered, I grinned and got into firing range
