Roman couldn't take his eyes off his daughter. Her smile and laugh. Everyone was right, she did look a lot like him, but he saw Thea in her too.
The way her nose crinkled up when she smiled or laughed.
"Okay missy, daddy and I have to talk to you seriously now.", Thea said, bringing him out of his thoughts.
Joey nodded. He was sure she wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but her mother's tone of voice changed, he was sure Joey felt it.
"So, daddy has to go away for a bit", Thea started, before her eyes went to him.
He cleared his throat, leaning closer to his child.
"I'm going to be working in New York and so I have to move over there for a little while", he added.
Joey looked confused before looking at her mom.
"Are we moving too mommy?", she asked.
Thea bit her lip, he noticed tears forming in her eyes.
"No baby, just daddy", she answered.
"But why?", she asked, now looking at him.
"Its for work kiddo, but I will be visiting and you and mommy can come and see me too. Promise.", he said quickly, afraid his daughter would think he was abandoning them.
"But I want to come with you daddy", his daughter said, her eyes sad and filling with tears.
"Joey, I'm sorry baby, I…", his daughter stood and ran upstairs.
Thea wiped her tears. Roman's ran down his cheeks.
"She'll be okay and as long as you stick to your promises to come and visit, she will be okay", Thea said.
"I never wanted to be the reason she was sad. I hate this feeling", he said.
"You aren't", she replied.
"I'll find us a nice place, big enough for my baby girl. Sasha won't touch the place, I promise", he said.
She stood and went over to him, kissing him.
"I'm going to miss you so much", he whispered.
"Us too", she nodded.
Flair had called him two months later to set up a place for him and Sasha. She wanted expensive, top floor, and a driver.
Roman set a suitcase in the back as she waited for him inside the car. Thea, Joey, Dean, and Brie stood waiting to say goodbye.
"Lets go, Roman", Sasha said.
He rolled his eyes, hugging his brother.
"Take care of my girls", he whispered.
"Always will brother", Dean replied.
He hugged Brie next.
"If he doesn't ask you to marry him before I come back, let me know so I can get his ass in gear", Roman said.
Brie giggled and nodded. She and Dean had to wait because of everything that happened to him.
"First call I make", she replied.
He lifted his daughter into his arms and her little ones wrapped around his neck.
"I love you so much baby. You and your mom are the best things to ever happen to me", he whispered.
"I love you daddy", she whispered back.
He squeezed her tighter before kissing her head and handing her to Dean. He looked at Thea.
"Call me every night, tell me about your day, about Joey. I'm going to miss you so much, T", he said.
"Me too", she replied.
He hugged her tight. Smelling her hair, feeling her skin, and the way she felt against him.
"Lets go", Sasha yelled.
Roman wiped his cheeks as Dean mumbled insults at Sasha.
"Uncle Dean, no bad words", Joey said, covering Dean's mouth with her little hand.
Roman chuckled. He didn't take his eyes off his family till he had to. Brie wrapped her arms around her sister.
"Did you tell him?", Brie asked.
Thea shook her head no as they watched the car turn the corner.
"Tell him what?", Dean asked.
"I'm pregnant", she replied.
Roman tuned Sasha out as she went on and on about New York and the first store she was going to visit.
"Are we stopping with your parents?", Sasha asked.
He shook his head no. He hadn't spoken to them since he left their house two months ago.
Flair sent a private jet for him, mostly because Sasha refused to fly any other way.
He sat far from her, which he was sure she didn't care. He watched her order a champagne. Pulling his phone out and looking at photos of his family.
He missed them already.
"Thea, he's not going to be happy about this", Dean said.
"And you think I am?", she asked calmly.
"I know you aren't, T. I mean, how long did it take you two the first time. This is a sign, you should have told him to stop him", Dean said.
Thea sighed softly.
"I won't be the reason he loses one baby, but keeps mine. Sasha is evil for using her baby, I won't use mine like that", she said.
"But its different", Dean sighed.
She smiled and cupped his face in her hands.
"I know, brother. Trust me, I know. Now, I've had a long day and I am really tired. I'm going to go take a nap, excuse me", she said.
Dean sighed again as he watched Thea go up to her room. Brie giggled and wrapped her arms around him.
"Things will work out, Dean, I promise", she whispered.
He sighed.
"I hope you're right babe", he replied.
Roman had called that night to tell them he got there safely and that he missed them already.
"We miss you too", Thea replied with a smile.
"How's my girl?", he asked.
Thea looked down at her sleeping daughter. She smiled.
"Better then the day before.", she replied.
"When can you come to New York? I found us a place. Beautiful views, with enough room for Joey to run around", he said.
She smiled.
"Not till next month when the kids go on vacation for a week", she replied.
"Seems like so far away", he sighed.
"So is Sasha staying with you or…", she stopped.
He smiled.
"In her own apartment", he replied.
"Good", she replied, not embarrassed to admit it.
She placed her hand against her stomach.
"Rome", she said.
"Yeah baby?", he replied.
"Before you make any kind of decision, I need you to remember your unborn baby. I thought I could keep it from you, but, I can't. You should know", she said.
"Are you okay? Did something happen after I left?", he asked worried.
What else could it be. She mentioned his unborn child because she knew he would be on the first flight out.
"T?", he asked.
"I'm pregnant", she said softly.
He smiled and sat up more.
"Why didn't you tell me? T, this is great news.", he said, sounding excited.
Which she knew he would be.
"You needed to go for your baby. I will not let you lose your child", she replied.
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair.
"I want to come home, baby. I will deal with the aftermath later. I just need to be there for you", he said softly.
"Rome", was all she needed to say.
"I know", he replied.
He wouldn't put that burden on her shoulders.
"Update me as much as you can", he said.
"Promise", she smiled.
Brie and Dean were in the kitchen when Thea walked in.
"Hungry?", Brie asked her sister.
"Starving", she replied.
Thea went over to Dean and wrapped her arms around his neck.
"So, you were right. He can not know. So I told him when he called. He was excited", she said.
Dean smiled.
"It just sucks. He missed everything with Joey, and now, he's going to miss everything with this baby too", she sighed.
Dean quickly stood, scaring both Thea and Brie.
"I have to go, be back soon", Dean said, kissing both Brie and Thea's heads before leaving.
"What was that?", Thea asked.
"I have no clue, but he did scare the shit out of me", Brie replied.
Dean made it to his parents house before his dad left for work.
"You alright son?", his dad asked.
"Thea is pregnant again. I hundred percent believe Sasha is either lying about being pregnant or if she is, the baby is not Roman's", Dean said.
Sika looked at his wife.
"Why?", his mom asked.
"I'm just guessing here, Ma. It won't hurt to ask for a paternity test.", Dean said.
Patricia looked at her husband.
"You can't tell me you are okay with her using Roman like this. Especially not when he has someone who loves him unconditionally. Someone he already has a family with, a growing one at that", Dean said, looking between them.
Sika nodded. His wife had pointed out how Sasha was not growing a belly.
"How far along is Thea?", his dad asked.
Dean was confused by that.
"Shouldn't be more than a month. Why?", he replied.
Sika looked at his wife.
