Author's Note
I actually wrote this chapter not very long after the first one. Suddenly, I'm REALLY hyped in writing more of this story, as I got very invested at the end of the first chapter, so I might as well get ingrained hard in this. I still gotta wonder what fans will think of it, though. I admit I'm a little nervous since I even got noted on an essay on Youtube about how Hekapoo is as bad as Toffee, but frankly, I don't really wanna watch essays on Star Vs. since I just don't wanna deal with that sort of thing. I sorta knew she wasn't exactly a good person, but I still really like the idea of her having a redemption arc and I'm gonna likely be criticized, but I can understand that and don't be afraid to do so, it's fully welcome. But still, I still like the idea and I wanna do this also for fun while I still wanna do my own thing on this. I mean, bet no one else made this kind of story, right? Anyways, enough ramblings, time to resume this. And yes, like Cyberpunk Prolegomenon, this will have licensed songs at times.
A flashback starts from the rather early period of Hekapoo saying with Kelly, specifically a few months as the Demeast was seen listening to music, humming a bit to it as the Woolett enters the room.
"A-ha! Caught ya!",she would run to her and pokes her many times on her face cheeks in a playful way.
"Okay, okay, you got me...I'm just in a very musical mood, is all.", Hekapoo smirks back.
"I dunno how that works in trying to escape doing some chores, but you promised we'd help each other on that, ya know?", Kelly added.
"I guess...I'm just not used in having other clothes still, but alright, time to get to work."
Kelly then gets a small listen to it, "Ooh, that's a pretty unique one you're listening."
"It seems to resonate much with me. Something about what the singer said makes me think this song fits me in some way."
"Oh, really? What is that?"
"The song is about a hunger for redemption."

Chapter 2: "Send Transmission To The One Armed Scissor"
A flashback to "Ready, Aim, Fire" is seen with the Magical High Commission in a secret greeting.
"Shutting down the portals was drastic enough!", Hekapoo was heard, clearly sounding frustrated.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures!, Rhombulus replied.
"But she's not even following the plan!", she would say back.
"Look, I just want that monster-smoocher out of Mewni, and she's our best option.", Rhombulus retorted.
"Some risks are worth taking.", Omnitraxus added.
"But she's completely crazy!"
Cue Mina entering up, laughing like a maniac, "Oh, I'M the crazy one? The person saving our kingdom from monster invaders? Ha!", then looking at Solaria Butterfly's tapestry, "Did you hear that, Queen? Our kingdom used to be great, but not anymore!"
Suddenly, cue a red flash as Hekapoo notices Marco hiding slightly.
"Crap...he's gonna rat me out, isn't he?", Hekapoo would say in her mind while Mina was rambling.
So suddenly she takes a deep breath and goes super fast to his direction, not being noticed by anyone else, which surprises him, he cries out with his mouth covered, luckily.
"Marco, I know what this looks like, but I'm undercover right now. I'll get back to you when I can...and I'm sorry, okay?", she actually sounded concerned.
Marco nodded, "Talk about speed...I knew you were fast, but dang!"
"GO, DUDE.", she whispered loudly with annoyance on her face rapidly went back to where she was as Marco also runs off.
And then Mina uses her pigtals like a helicopter to float up to her giant suit of armor. "It's time to give Mewni back to the Mewmans!", she continued, "And if that makes me crazy...", the armor then picks up a sword handle, and it turns into an energy blade, pointing at the MHC, "I'm as cuckoo-cuckoo-cuckoo as they come! Sebastian, get me my helmet!"
Cue another red flash, with Hekapoo stomping one of her heels.
"Let me warn ya, though, your lunaticness...you might get killed out there. Star might find a way and just like that, you're as dead as a dodo."
Mina looks on with a smirk, "You trying to grow a pair?"
"Nope. I always keep growing more than from these two.", she smirked back.
Both Rhombulus and Omnitraxus gasp, "Whoa, man, low blow!", the snake crystal being sounded hurt, "What's with you all of a sudden?", Omnitraxus added.
"I get it, you're chaotic neutral, or whatever, but keep on that and maybe you'll face my wrath right here, right now!", Mina growled.
"Aye aye...", she mockingly does some sort of captain salute to her, and as she goes off, she whispers, "...bitch.". She then monologues in her mind with her casual, "Oh, she's so gonna be dead by the end of this."
Present day follows with Hekapoo lunging right after Mina with her scissors, making contact with purple twintailed maniac's bat.
"HOW! ARE! YOU! NOT! DEAD?!" Hekapoo replied with a lot of anger with each hit connecting on her bat.
"Take a chill pill, jeez! It was fate! What I did was right, so I stay alive, simple as that!", Mina cockily said back.
She then separates her scissors as blades, "Keep all that self-righteous crap all to your self!", their weapons kept on connecting and clanking on each other
Star realizes on seeing this as she gulps a bit nervously, remembering that they just let Mina get away as she goes running to them, so she slides underneath Hekapoo as she jumped to kick Mina in the stomach, launching her briefly to then land on the ground with her grunting a bit.
"Hekapoo...let's do this...I think we can be a team!" Star looked on proudly to her.
"I dunno if she escaped whatever prison you made or if she survived against bears or something, but I guess fate screwed up likethat..!"
"Yeeeeeeeeeeah...", Star replies in a slightly suspicious way, and the Demeast notices the Mewman's rather odd response, but gets in stance alongside her.
Kelly looks on super impressed, "You two look so cooooool!"
Mina starts getting up, "Okay, that's it...Omnitraxus, Rhombulus, Lekmek, it's 4 of us and 4 of them...and the rest of you, uh...cheer for us!"
"Pretty sure we outnumber them...", Lekmek groaned back, rolling his eyes.
"Who cares, I'm going straight at that traitor!", Rhombulus also lunges ahead with Omnitaxus following, and Lekmek also following.
"This isn't going to be pretty, guys...!", Eclipsa gets in stance as well.
"Wait, magic is back, right? Star, this makes ya feel uneasy, right?" Kelly uttered
Star gripped on her wand, "Thing is...I have a feeling it wasn't completely destroyed in a way...good thing I was crazy prepared..."
"Well, c'mon, do your crazy spells! Maybe think of a big friggin' blast or something!", Hekapoo said back to her.
Star sighs, "Guess we really can't escape this, huh?", she first frowns, but then starts chuckling, "Then let's bring it on.", she would get a specific stance ready, pointing her wand at the bad guys, "Here's a classic for ya...MEGA NARWHAL BLAAAAAAAST!", she shouts with all her might, which...does nothing, giving off a brief pause.
"Huh, well, that-", she gets interrupted by the magical narwhals now getting summoned out of the wand, splashing on some of the grunts as Mina and others avoided them, but just barely. One narwhal even landing on half of Rhombulus.
"Gah! How are they this slimy?!", he exclaims.
Star looked on shocked, "Holy moly..."
Mina growls out at seeing this, "That wand's gonna be mine, too! I can actually make those narwhals use those dang horns!"
"What, you're not satisfied with what you have right now?!" Star exlaims back.
"The more power, the more fate will be on my side, I'm like a God's chosen one!"
Then Eclipsa joins in, using her umbrella to cast a direct spell to Mina's direction, "Cold Shoulder Ice Storm!", she casted out, but Mina rolls out of the way, with her fellow men running along side her with Rhombulous recovering being splashed by one of the narwhals as they eventually disappear.
"Let's go one by one on them!" Hekapoo loudly said as she notices Rhombulous going straight at her. Eclipsa would duel with Mina, Star faces off against Omnitraxus, leaving Kelly with Lekmek as they all start to clash, all clinking their respective weapons simultaneously.
"I got an idea!", Kelly says, backing off as she jumps up high then yells out "HYAAAAAAAH!", landing her sword to the ground to great a big shock wave to try to separate each other and to create space, which also launches the grunts far away. This does create a bit of a scene with many people seeing out of the glass windows, looking shocked, but also entertained. One person even says "There's a dang anime fight going on outside!"
Hekapoo lands on the ground as said shockwave also created smoke, making it slightly hard to see for the moment, "Kelly, you're cool, but ya should have warned us a bit...", she said under her breath, trying to look around, as Rhombulous suddenly breezes through as she backflips out of the way as a rocking song starts.

"You're supposed to be one of us! How can ya side with that monster-smoocher?!", Rhombulus yelled out angrily at her while using his snake hands to try to punch her, having them be in his variation of brass knuckles as the demeast dodges left and right on them.
"Well, glad you finally noticed, genius! Remember that pizza party?! I simply used one of my clones to make it seem I was actually there!", she tries swinging away her scissor blades right at his hands as they make a clinking sound each time.
"I should have known! She was watching nothing but videos! With airpods, on top of that!", Rhombulus grumbled back.
"I doubt that...so let's see if you have any kind of thought in that dome!", she takes a risk giving a headbutt to his head, which...ended up actually hurting her more.
"Ha ha ha!", a big bruise would be seen on her forehead as Rhombulus laughs, "You're kidding, right? You lived with me for many years and you went for that?!"
"Nah...it's to prove I'm tough enough to do that...and this!", she would put two fingers to his abs.
"Uh...what, ya gonna tickle me-?"
"Nope.", she then closes her fist, doing a successful one inch punch, blowing him away down to the ground as he slides for a while.
"Owwww...that was the biggest skidmark I had!", he complains, getting with with an angry grunt.
"Don't hate the game, hate the player.", Hekapoo smugly replied, shouting again running towards him.
Meanwhile, Eclipsa and Mina were clashing with their respective weapons before Eclipsa fires off a spell, "Dark Rainbow Blast!", firing a grey-rainbow beam right at Mina, but she front flips and summersaults for a while before delivering a kick upside her head that Eclipsa barely blocks in time with her umbrella as Mina backflips away to the ground.
"You made a biiiig mistake letting me go free, ya know. Why did you do that, anyways?", Mina outwardly puzzled.
Eclipsa continues using her umbrella as Mina blocks it with her bat, "We were too fickle! Is that what you wanted to hear?!"
"Hit a nerve? I could be strong enough to kill ya or your loved ones! I have the influence and the publicity to make that big hunk of meat of yours be expired!"
"So what? I've been having the best time of my life, traveling around the world! My love with Globgor is still strong, I keep bonding with my granddaughter, and I'm getting to know her friends more! You? You're just living in your bigotry even after all this years...and now...I have ZERO sympathy for you anymore!"
Mina then lands a kick to her gut and ruthlessly hits her with her elbow, "Hah...!", Eclipsa exclaims.
"Remember what Moon said? That I'm not well or something like that. Maybe YOU'RE the one who's unwell, toots! Not to mention, you say Star is your grandaughter...she isn't, you foolish kookie!", Mina shouted back as Eclipsa shows a bit of bleeding on her nose as she then delivers another spell, "Thunderstorms Of Doom!", she would summon some thunder storms to try to land on Mina as she started to feel frustrated right at her with Mina barely dodging some of them, however, Eclipsa is able to get in a big punch right at Mina's mouth.
"I mean it...ZERO sympathy. The fact that even after all these years, you haven't changed at all...you're really wasting your immorality! Star may not be my true granddaughter according to the lineage...but she still did so much for me and I'm returning the favor to her! She fought for me even if we're not fully related by blood!"
Mina coughs up a bit of blood as now she started to sound frustrated, too, "Killing you might be too boring...how about I CRIPPLE you all your loved ones!", she growls back, firing a beam at her direction that Eclipsa dodges by sliding underneath it, then their weapons again colliding, as they both shout out.
Concurrently, Star is seen dodging around Omnitraxus as he turns into a big hammer to try to squish her, landing a few times, missing each time, but causing a slight quake each time.
"Come on Star, I always pretty nice to you! Just give in easily and we might leave you alone!", Omnitraxus yelled back.
"Says the guy who's trying to splatter me!", Star shouts back as she gets twirls her wand and directly aims at him, "RAINBOW FIST PUNCH!", she would summon a big rainbow that then turns into a big hand, punching him a few times in the face, turning back to his big bodied self, then getting punched in the gut and then cue a big uppercut, knocking him down to the ground, making a bit of a quake around the area.
Star herself looks surprised. Despite not using magic for years, it feels like she never lost it, "This...feels as easier as ever, dang! I should not be this thrilled...", she quietly remaked.
However, Omnitaxus recovers easily, turning into a big shipping container, causing a shockwave, hitting Star, landing hard on the ground and rolling a few times, "Oof..okay...said too soon...", she groaned, recovering up and shaking herself off then noticing Omintaxus above her, quickly yelling out, "LEVITATO!", making her levitate and fly off as he lands down on the ground, missing her, but Star retaliates, yelling "FOAMING TWINKLE BUBBLE RIPPLE!", summoning a huge clam-shaped hot tub.
As Omnitaxus returns to his big bodied state, a bit dazed from the harsh landing, he looks up, "...is that a jacuzzi?", then getting landed on by the clam, as it breaks apart, with water splashing around everywhere.
Meanwhile, Kelly is clashing her sword with Lekmek's weapon of choice, a double voulge, clashing into each other as Kelly amusing asks something, "You don't seem to like your own team very much!"
"No matter how much we go through, I'm still loyal to them, unlike Hekapoo!", Lekmek replies back as then continually clash their weapons, doing some smooth moves with Kelly even tossing her swords upwards to distract him only for her to land a drop kick and then grab her own sword again in mid-air, landing on the ground easily.
"Hekapoo isn't part of your guys lives anymore! She told me everything...you dunderheads were trying to make her be part of a hive mind with you guys!", Kelly angrily replied back.
Lekmek grins, "That's exactly how reputation works!", Kelly charges with her sword while he also slashing around with his voulge, clicking each time with Kelly's blade as he continues talking. "You see, the MHC were mistaken to be much less under control when I died...but we were always this aggressive, I was just playing dumb! And it feels pretty good!"
"You got another chance of life, dude, and you prefer still bein gin this hive mind!", Kelly replies back, but then Lekmek suddenly charges back at her with using his knee to hit her face as she shouts out, landing shoulder first on the ground, shaking her head a bit.
"I prefer being in my comfort zone, if you don't mind...you are but a mere Woolett, while I'm a better, patient being...", he would suddenly summon two white energy balls, tossing them to her while Kelly uses her great sword to slice the both of them with a cool-looking spin move, they would then explode behind her, making her land to the ground, but then gets back up once more. Lekmek tries headbutting her, but Kelly responds back with some rolling kicks, letting out a loud yell, spinning around on her big hair, with the goat-like being taking some kicks, knocking him down, grunting in pain a bit.
Kelly then stands right back up,"Wooletts ALWAYS love a good fight...I'll go down, but no matter what, I'll stand up!", she said with with a confident smile on her face.
The song ends, but the fighting resumes as Hekapoo's fight with Rhombulus continued with him shooting out crystals while screaming, as the demeast backflips over and over and over as she sticks to a part of the building, hearing the crowd cheer at her.
A young girl was seen gasping seeing this, saying "You'd make an awesome action figure!". Hekapoo couldn't help but react surprised from this, "This feels...weird, but cool."
Rhombulus growls annoyed, "Stop spamming that! Know what, I think I'll take care of those new fans of yours!", he would proceed to fire some crystals right at the direction of the people behind the glass as she gasps, snapping her fingers to create a portal so they get through it instead.
"Oh, weaksauce! Why are you suddenly so caring and protective of people you don't know?!" the big muscly crystal guy shouted to her.
"You're willing to kill innocents, you meatbag dickhead!", Hekapoo yelled back
"Says the heartless chick who killed monsters, too!"
"I never did such a thing! Just for that...", she growled back, making another portal as she goes inside one.
"What the?! You rage quitting on me, broette?!", Rhombulous yells out annoyed, as the portal appears behind him and Hekapoo wastes no time lifting him up.
"H-hey, let me go! I thought you weren't into wrestling moves!", Rhombulus flailed all over the place as Hekapoo's muscles tensed a lot more to grip him more.
"I lied! Who WOULDN'T want to do wrestling moves? And I know for sure that unlike you, I'll actually improve my behavior.", she would jump up a couple of feet while the crystal guy murmurs and she shouts out, "BURNING HAMMER!", doing the wrestling move successfully with him landing on his head, hollering in pain, creating a crater underneath them as this knocks the crystal guy out, groaning slightly.
Hekapoo pants leaving out of the crater, seeing some of the others continue their fight from afar as she monologues, "I've been so peaceful the last couple of years, and I really did miss fighting, huh? But...unlike before, this doesn't seem to feel as bad...is it cause...I feel more hopeful being with the right team?"
Star looked on gasping and jumping for joy, "Whoo! Oh, if only I could record that—gah!", she gets charged by Omnitraxus charging her after turning into a shield.
"Oh, poor, naive Star getting distracted...bad move there, lass...", Omnitraxus snarled as Star grunts, being on her knees.
Hekapoo gasped looking at this as she gets ready to move, "Time to test our trust...!", she would run quickly right at Omnitraxus' direction, taking a deep breath, activating her duplication ability, having 9 clones like her, getting into a formation as she smiles, "No rust whatosever...!" she smirked, as the clones all yell and jump up to Omnitraxus, with their strength holding him.
"Grah...what the...get off of me!", he struggled all over as the other Hekapoo's hold on heavily as he starts shrinking.
Her real self, however approaches Star as she's down on one knee, lending her hand as the blonde mewman grabs it, getting helped up.
"You really...turned a new leaf for reals. Saw how you saved some people and that cool move you did earlier, like...wow! Shame it distracted me enough to get him to land a sucker punch on me. Or sucker shield in this case."
"Listen, uh...I know we never got off right, as well as the fact that I had a weird phase against monsters...and I now know that I'm apparently one.", Hekapoo would reply back with a sigh.
"Well, after Kelly told me about it a lot of times from our calls, it really shows how much they were hiding from you. Weird to see ya being all restrictive and shy. I still remember that one text you sent before I thought you vanished forever. And besides, it seems like you weren't against monsters that much, you were just being your neutral self."
"There's...more about me that...I'm regretting more and more...allegedly, I killed a lot of monsters myself...when I was fighting with Solaria.
Star gasps, but then reassures her, "That wasn't you!" Star then gives her a really tight hug, "You didn't kill them, Hekapoo...that was Mina. She knew passing off the blame with someone else would be that easy..."
Flashback, Star is seen holding some sort of diary as she was running away.
"When I was traveling in Romania, I saw a cool castle that happens to have something insanely sacred thing and it happens to be a diary that was written by Mina herself. After Mewni and Earth combined together, it must have been nearby there, and they probably figured it had some insane secrets.
Then, Star was seeing the diary in her bed as she gasps, learning a lot of new info.
"She did sort of a shape-shifting spell that caused her to turn into you. She found a way to make you're this insane this monster killer, when she was the one who impersonated you so that you can share the blame. She used Forge Forge Berries on you to make it seem you did it, she might have overfed you, almost as if to make you be in a comatose state. As far as we know, I don't think you killed any monster at all.", Star continued.
The Demeast gasps, "I remember now...I wanted to fight, but something felt...off about it.", Hekapoo said, "This also means that it was Mina, disguised at me, who made Festivia turn more against monsters."
"That's the thing; it was actually your idea to stop the war, but Omnitraxus took the credit even though he was against monsters, too. Again, you got mind-wiped for even going at her."
Back to the present as Star now let's go of the hug, "I found a lot more in that book, but for now...let's take the opportunity to start bonding between us and beat them good! What do you say?", Star replies with a confident smile on her face.
Hekapoo smiles back as well, and then they do a very epic handshake, to the point of their muscles and veins being shown with them chuckling and smirking. "Okay, what shall our killer double move be?", she says back.
Star cheerfully replies with her signature wide grin, "A double clothesline!"
The red-haired demeast stares at her confusingly and blinks, "Wha?"
"Trust me, we'll get a big pop from the people watching us. Heck, it might cure some of their jetlag, too."
Hekapoo then shrugs, "I'd say no, but...I wanna trust you, so let's do it!"
They both then start running right at Omnitraxus as he shakes all the Hekapoo clones as they fade away. However, their restraint made him smaller to get the clothesline ready. He utters, "Huh?"
Hekapoo and Star both yell out, "DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!", and they successfully connect it as Omnitraxus yells out in pain, as he sells the move in a corkscrew kind of way, then landing on the ground with a slight crater around him. The crowd watching this near the terminals cheer out like crazy. Many of them were seen recording the whole thing.
As good as the admiration was, though, they both realize their allies being in a bit of trouble, "Oh crap, Hekapoo, we gotta save Eclipsa and Kelly!", she points to them.
"You go save Kelly, I'll get that psycho!", she gets her scissors again.
Star immediately notices what she might do, "Hekapoo...don't be afraid to cut away."
The Demeast is surprised to hear that from the blonde mewman and nodded, "Cut away, ya got it.", she nods affirmatively.
Star would softly say, "Eclipsa's gonna bark at us a bit, but...it kinda has to be done." she would run off to where Kelly is.
Eclipsa's clash with Mina continues to be a bit dodgy as Mina has seemingly outclassed her, mostly due to Eclipsa still holding her power, but was no doubt planning something out at the moment.
"What's wrong, Eclipsa? I thought you were supposed to be a Queen, this feels more like something peasant-like...and I should know.", Mina widely grins and laughs.
"That's the thing...I was letting down your guard...MIDNIGHT SHRIEK!", her parasol wand lets out a really loud wail that's enough to disorientate her a bit and Eclipsa prepares for a pretty mighty spell, "This made Meteora turn back into a baby...now let's see what happens with you?", she would get it ready as Mina still is dazed with her hands grabbing her head.
However, Hekapoo was also rushing in, her scissors fully ready, "Cut away, cut away, send transmission to the one armed scissor!", she said it in a sing-songy way.
Unfortunately, this was happening just as Eclipsa was about to fire the spell, "BLACK VELVET INFER—GAH!", she misses the spell from seeing Hekapoo approach Mina as it goes to the sky. This was enough to get Mina to use her twin-tail hair to fly upwards.
"DAMN IT!", Hekapoo cursed out.
Mina pants out, "Holy crap...what do I have say other than I'm so lu-", then a magical missile went to her direction, knocking her down to the ground, revealing to have been shot by Star after turning her wand as a missile launcher, as Kelly was seen doing a headscissors to Lekmek as he grunts out and Kelly says, "Get him, Star!"
Star then quickly shouts out, "GLITTERY HEART SLAP BLAST!", taking down Lekmek with a heart-shaped energy blast, getting him dazed, "Well..this wasn't great...", his eyes would look on dizzy as Kelly gives a thumbs up to Star, who does the same.
Mina was also dazed a bit, and again, Hekapoo tries to see if she can get the job done, "Well, Mina, you returned as fast as you might die."
However, Eclipsa stops her, "Hold on there...I don't think we need to kill her."
Hekapoo was a tad dumbfounded hearing that from her, "Why?"
"I was trying to test out my spell to see if maybe I can fully change her and erase her memory with the same spell that turned Meteora back to a baby..."
Mina then jokes, "Y'know...H-Poo...she let me get away like a dumbass."
"SHUSH!", Eclipsa shouted as Hekapoo looked a little...disgrunted.
"Wait..you mean...you just let her get away?! You didn't even put her in jail?! I thought she escaped or something!"
Star and Kelly then approach them, too, "We...screwed up, yeah, but...we're gonna fix that now.", Star herself would say.
"I just don't think this is the best course of action!", Eclipsa replied.
"Then what about Toffee? I killed him, Eclipsa! And frankly, if it's immoral, we're gonna have to do it. Go for it, Hekapoo."
"My pleasure.", Hekapoo seemingly was gonna get her revenge on her, however, Mina grins and whispers, "Now..."
Star quickly realizes this as she gasps, looking above, "OH SHIT, GUYS, MOOOOOVE!", seeing a big energy blast suddenly arriving from above, blasting all over as they get launched away, knocking them all down, groaning a bit as an unexpected figure slowly floats downward.
The 4 allies strain and groan a bit as Star is the first one to look up as she gasps, "W-wha...no...no way..."
Moon Butterfly touches down, facing Star and the others. She doesn't spare a glance to Mina and her forces, looking down at an disbelieving Star with a wry smile. "Good morning, Star. I hope I'm not too late for the festivities."
"Mom!?"
"Yes, Star?"
Star's face twists into a mean glare as she leaps back up. "That's all you have to say to me? 'Yes, Star?' Where have you been?!"
Moon gives a coy tilt of the head. "Does it matter?"
"Does it– YES! Yes, it matters!"
"Umm…" Kelly sheepishly interjects, echoing the confused looks that everyone else is sharing… all except Mina, who is lying on the ground with a calculating smirk. "Are we missing something here or…?"
Star continues holding eye contact with Moon, staring back with a sad smile.
"...No, Kelly. It's fine." Star says, soft and measured, but with a hint of being unsure. "Because Mom is here to help. She's going to turn around, face the bad guys, and help us defeat the bad guys. Right, mom?"
Moon punches Star right on the face knocking her to the ground as her allies gasp and come to her aid, "...Am I, dear?" Moon's smile turns into a cruel smirk, as Star slowly stands up and gives an angry huff and raises her wand.
"Yougottabe–" Star cuts herself off with a mangled scream. "Seriously?! Why?! You're turning on your own freaking daughter?!"
"You know as well as I was that there was no turning back, Star."
"Yes, there was! You helped me destroy the magic. You helped me fix–!"
"After I already helped Mina in nearly destroying it. I did a lot of awful things, Star. A lot of awful things that I don't regret."
Star growls, almost on the verge of tears, "I am very disappointed in you right now."
"Humph, how many times have I said those words to you…" Moon glances off to the side, briefly getting lost in memories before snapping her attention back towards Star. "I missed having power, Star. I missed being in control. I can't survive without it, and if that makes me a tyrant, then I admit I like the sound of it." She turns her back on Star to approach Mina, who's giggling to herself while watching the conversation. "And if this means that I'm the worst mother ever, so be it. I'll make this simple for you Star. I'm helping Mina. We're going to eradicate all monsters from this planet." Now next to Mina, she turns back to Star. "You will try and stop us. And I will do everything in my power as queen to see you fail."
"You...you...gah!" The wand nearly flies out of Star's hand as she waves her arms around. "I can't believe you… I really thought you were gonna change your mind! Give me and Eclipsa a chance! That I'll wake up, and you'll be back, and we'll bake pies together, and… but now you have to pull all this again! Why choose Mina?!"
Mina slowly gets up and laughs maniacally. "Why, isn't it obvious?! Queen Moon's my biggest fan! Betcha' wish you stayed as my mud sister now! You could've been just like me instead of a wannabe. But you'd still lose, 'cause the real thing is just better, ding-dong! Ha ha ha!"
"Queen Moon?!" Eclipsa walks up to stand by Star. "When Star told me you had left, this is the furthest thing I could have possibly imagined! How do you sleep at night, knowing what you're doing to the Butterfly name? You miss being a queen? Fine. But why are you really helping Mina, Moon? Is this because of me and Globgor?"
"Oh, it's beyond that. Mewmen should only be with Mewmen. Marco may make for a good friend, but a human as my Star's boyfriend? But if you want to make this about you Eclipsa, I don't care if Meteora is "Mewman-passing." With a mother like you, she might as well be a monster." She smugly replies.
"I can just disown you right bloody now..."
"Do whatever you want, but I'm afraid I no longer want to be part of the cycle anyway, and it's not like you're officially part of it either yourself. The Butterfly name has quite the spotty reputation. Sure, the peaks are grand. But there are so many dark, disappointing valleys. I'll let the two of you guess what you are."
"...I always thought you were a better woman than this. I see I'm a fool for believing that."
"Nah, Moon's the dumbass here." Hekapoo pipes up, pushing past Eclipsa to fix Moon with a smoldering gaze. "You know how it goes: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice?" Hekapoo gives a feral grin. "Pick a god and pray."
"Ah, yes, Hekapoo. I'm not sure why you're on Star's side with all this.. You were always so much smarter than that. Certainly we can make you reconsider, especially since the rest of the MHC is with us? If you give me some time, I can convince you to join us–"
Cue Hekapoo spitting right at Moon's face as she looked on horrified, "W-what...did you really...spit on me?!"
"Damn straight...no way in HELL am I joining you again! Mina and the rest of the MHC tried to frame me being an war-obsessive mongrel by controlling me like a Goddamn puppet using some berries. My life has changed A LOT in the last couple of years. I'm not a magical being, I'm a monster! And know what? I dig it! I was manipulated and controlled by my "Dad" and his "sons". You were controlling Star, too! We only just met in a bigger way today and we're instantly bonding! Kelly helped me to realize about humanity! It's flawed as hell but it can be a damn good thing! So yeah, you bet I spitted on you! I actually took effort in changing myself for the better, and I still feel like there's a long way to go...cause God knows what other memories could slowly unravel. You just decide to throw yourself away and use them as excuses!" Hekapoo ranted and roared back to her.
"You're really that foolish, are you? Either way, your reputation is still spotty for being associated with an anti-monster group..."
"I'm not part of the hive mind anymore...I'm Hekapoo Theta Serpetis...and I'm still seeking for answers.", she would finish her spiel to her, still looking serious to her.
The allies looked on shocked, but also proud while Moon looked on frustrated, noticing something wrong with her wand, "What the-"
Mina then shouts, "We need to get outta here, Moon, otherwise we can't portal out!"
"Hmph...we will meet again...but at least I made sure that I won't be around...unless it's to possibly kill you all.", she would use magic to open a couple of portals as Mina's troops take the chance to leave as they recovered from briefly being unconscious, going inside the portal, including Moon herself.
Mina would spit out a raspberry to the heroes, but Hekapoo leaves a nice little surprise, whispering "Cut away...", with a sinister smile, slowly cutting her hand with her scissors, having the most grisly sound with it dropping down to the ground. Mina gasps and was about to scream out, but the portal closes before any of them hear it. However, her hand was there, squirting blood and looking lifeless.
"Good lord...", Kelly softly says as they all look at it. Hekapoo then rests on the ground as it a thunderstorm was heard, as a previously sunny day slowly gave in to rain soon.
The Demeast sighs, as a lot already happened in her first day back to Echo Creek. Star rests her back on the ground close to her.
"Well, you sure gave one hell of a speech there.", Star says.
"When was the last time you saw her?" Hekapoo questioned.
"Before I turned 19. We were...starting to distance ourselves more. Not just me, but my Dad, too."
Flashback, showing a couple of still images of Star and Moon looking distant in their last couple of years.
"She really didn't like that I was travelling around, getting to know this world more. Despite telling her many more times that I want to live my life my way, and mind you, I've told her that lots of times. And yet..she figures my way would be more damaging, even though I've been careful myself. That...and another odd reason, but...we'll get to it.", Star monologues.
The still images continue, showing divorce papers between Moon and River.
"She even split up from my Dad. It's almost as if she was unfulfilled all of a sudden. She never even talked to me about it face-to-face, just through phone.", she continued.
The flashback ends as Eclipsa chimes in, "Honestly...I dunno what else we can do now...I wanted to try to sort of save Mina without having to kill her...and because of us screwing up, now have two deal with two tyrants...now featuring one of my own daughters...again."
"Geez...it's surprising to learn how...unique the Butterfly family is.", Kelly says back.
"It's...long, complicated and we understand the doubt on us.", Eclipsa replies.
"Looks like a new magic kind of war may be starting up...even without it, it sorta felt like they planned all this time.", Hekapoo replies.
"On the plus side...maybe we don't have to deal with them every single day. No one won and no one lost." Star replies back.
"So far, anyways."
A small pause happens as Hekapoo and Star slowly get up. "I think we deserve to go to Britta's Tacos after that. Maybe a cold one, too.", the blonde Mewman said.
"When you mean a cold one, you mean a soda or a beer?", Kelly said.
The rest of them think for a bit before they say "Yes.", in unison.
Later on, they were all seen in Star's SUV, riding on the way to a highway as light rain falls down.
"You know we can just use the scissors to go there, right? Heck, I even went to that taco place by accident once." Hekapoo admitted.
"Sometimes, a long car trip is just...pleasant, even if it's in the rain.", Eclipsa said, probably relaxing more than usual.
"Eh...guess I agree on that."
"Look...I really do apologize that we let Mina get away like that. I know how miffed you looked, Hekapoo. And I doubt you'd trust me much...our bad blood still seems uncomfortable."
Hekapoo then chuckles, "Honestly, I gotta respect ya a bit, actually. I mean, you had a happier ending than any of us, so I guess you gave fate a bit of a middle finger, maybe even stronger than Mina doing that."
"Yeah...at least there's that. I probably need to improve my fighting skills, though. I was kind of a mess out there."
"Welp, looks like training is gonna have to be in order.", Star would say back.
"I have a feeling me and Eclipsa are gonna have to sort of revitalize ourselves a bit...", Hekapoo admitted.
Eclilpsa does give a small smile, "We sure do, dear." Hekapoo smiles back at the reply.
"Have they ever said that you have an amazingly cute smile?", Eclipsa amusingly says back.
The Demeast chuckles nervously, "Yeah, uh...I'm shocked at myself on that, too. I, uh...still got a lot to tell. I'm not used to being this friendly in a non-cheesy way."
Kelly then turns on the radio, "Hey, it's been getting too intense, let's listen to something soothing and relaxing and maybe even sing together, who knows?"
"That'd be pretty dashing, but I dunno if we'd all have a song we all sing to.", Eclipsa replies back.

A smooth piano rhythm started playing on the radio as everyone on the car approve positively, "Huh, if I didn't know any better, this feels like it was specifically tailored for us! So who's gonna start? Don't be shy now.", Eclipsa said again.
Then, after pondering for a while, Hekapoo begins singing.
"When the sun came up

Kelly, Star and Eclipsa join in for the next part

Next it's Star's turn on the second verse:

"Yeah, let's just say I was lucky enough to see certain music video channels.", Hekapoo replied.
"Oh, my parents recorded a lot from those channels and I showed 'em to her. She got a little too obsessed on 'em."
Hekapoo briefly look a bit annoyed, in a playful way, letting out an "Oy!", as Eclipsa also chuckles as hthe singing continued with Hekapoo and Kelly dueting the next few lyrics:

Then Star and Eclipsa singing the next part:

The sunroof was seen opening as pops out as the rain let up and the sun peaking through, showing a rainbow above the sky, spreading her arms open dramatically as they all sing along again.

Hekapoo then starts to monologue, "Yknow, it's funnt...this whole car ride has been more fan than all the years of my life I spent with the MHC. Maybe I always hung around with the wrong crowd. Or I just kept giving in my role with them. I'm gonna have a nice little new role now. Star really was the key...and now there's a new threat. Yep, I think it's gonna get better."
She then sings the last lyrics of the song.
