We focus on a simple morning in Cocoyashi Village. Said village has become very peaceful since the defeat of Arlong and his cronies. Everyone has returned to their actual lives, free of fear and hatred.

Genzo, the resident officer of the village (and practically mayor of the island) had finished his usual patrol and came back to his office/home. He was welcomed to the sight of Nojiko, who came to drop her usual tangerines to him. "Goddammit, Nojiko! Stop bringing the tangerines here! I can buy some myself!"

"Good morning to you as well, Father~," Nojiko said with a big smile, making the old man blush in embarrassment. "I know you can, which is why this is a gift."

Genzo grumbled as he went and accepted her gift. "Well, stop with the 'gift' and focus on maintaining yourself! I know you need it to maintain your store!" Nojiko chuckled.

That's right! The villager girl had finally opened her tangerine-selling shop; her wish and desire to remember her mother. Thanks to their savior, who finished building it so fast, Bell-Mere Tangerines Shop was born.

Still new, but business is starting to boom. Having gotten the entire island to buy from her farm. Yes, I said farm.

That plumber made sure that she had everything to make her life easier. I'm shocked she didn't just grab and kiss him on the lips. She believes he deserves it.

"Nah. With Nami's money, I'm quite well with myself."

"Now you listen here, lady. Just because you are rich doesn't mean you should brag about it to me."

"You do know you are rich too, right?"

"Let me have something!" Nojiko laughs at his outburst.

"Genzo!"

Entering his office, the old officer and the woman were welcomed by a resident, breathing heavily as he rested against the frame. "W-We got a Marine Ship heading to us! They are asking permission for landing and a meeting with you!"

The atmosphere turned into a serious one between the two of them. "...So they are finally here." He grumbled before sighing, "Let them land. But I swear, if they have with them that rat bastard; you can tell them to fuck off." The villager nodded before running away.

"So it's time." Nojiko hummed as the old man went to his desk and began to look for something. "Know what you have to say?"

"Been preparing for a while." Genzo said as he took out a small disk with a red button in the middle. "I just hope this will work."

Minutes later, all of Cocoyashi had surrounded the Sheriff's building. Some with concern, some with anger. It wasn't long before the Marines began to march into the village. Unlike Nezumi's men, these seem to have more… 'honor' so to speak.

Being led by a Marine Commodore with stylish lavender hair, and sporting a serious look. "You all must wait out here and guard. It's clear that we aren't welcome here."

"Sir!" The Marines stopped and waited in line behind him as he began to walk forward before stopping in front of the villagers.

"I am Commodore Purin-Purin, of the 77th Branch! I came to speak with the one in charge here!"

The town looked at each other for a second before someone walked in, a man who would be called the village doctor. "We are expecting you…Our leader will see you. But only you, Commodore." The Marine nodded as he was brought into the building.

Once inside, he saw Genzo on his desk, with Nojiko and the Doc standing on his side. "Welcome Commodore. I'm Genzo, the Sheriff of Cocoyashi. I apologize for the current animosity, but we have a reason for it."

"I understand." Purin nodded. "First of all; I have received the information that your village and the entire island was in control of the pirate known as Arlong for eight years." Without hesitation, the man bowed his head to them, "While not my branch, I'm still a Marine. For you all to suffer this long under our noses, I have no words to express my regret for this."

Nojiko scoffed a little. "A little bit too late for that."

"Nojiko." Genzo narrows his eyes at her.

"I understand this anger, and I will accept it." Purin stopped his bow and looked at them with determination. "Which is why, I ask you for the opportunity to correct this mistake."

"...We have a story to tell," Genzo began to say, "We wish you to hear everything that happened to us, and what became of Arlong."

"Very well. But before that, I have a few questions I wish to ask." Purin said, making the old sheriff nod. "First of all, while walking here, I couldn't help but notice that the town was very clean. I have heard that there was some destruction that was unfixable. Can you please explain about that?"

At the question, all three of them chuckled, confusing him. "You wouldn't believe it, even after we tell you." Genzo said before bringing his arms over the desk and clasping his hands together. "But to summarize to you, Commodore? We were blessed."

"Blessed, you say?"

"Yes, blessed with the arrival of a hero."

( Meanwhile)

"Are you sure this information is accurate?" A heavily male voice spoke.

"I-Is only a rumor and information from the Marines, but w-we have triple checked it with every agent located!"

"Hmm…Very well. You are dismissed." the receiver saluted before running away from wherever they were.

"Well, well. That's interesting." Another voice said, female this one. "Our resources inform us that all Giant size related Devil Fruits are with users already."

"True, but this report claims that this man isn't a Devil Fruit user, Perorin~" Spoke a tongue-blocking male voice, looking at a wanted poster.

"Perhaps a device that can enlarge him at will?"

"We would have gotten some sort of information about it, considering how Mama wants any of it delivered immediately." A cracking sound voice said.

"Still…Rumor or not, this will affect Mama."

All four individuals nodded, knowing how much their Mother was desperately obsessed with making a growth spurt on everyone around her.

"I have also heard that he is quite strong. Think Mama will consider getting his seed?"

"Ugh! Please don't bring that conversation here, Perorin~"

"If he's as close as they say, Mama might do it."

"...Would it be a problem if I ask for him?"

"Huh?"

"Generals! Minister!" All four individuals turned to the entrance of their room, where a tiny soldier-like being was. "The Party is about to begin. Mama is ready for you all."

"Perorin~ Well then, let us go." The tongued voice said as he stood up, "We all know how Mama feels when we are late. Let's discuss what Smoothie said later."

"I was simply asking."

( Back to Cocoyashi, An hour later)

To say the Commodore was left speechless was an understatement.

He heard the story from both Genzo and Nojiko. How their savior suddenly came from the ocean, hearing the problem and declaring to stop this madman. He then beat the pirates without a single sweat and then, fixed up the entire villages AND gave them back all the money that was stolen from them.

And he asked for nothing in return.

"Incredible…" Purin breathed out, "So you are saying he did all that…under a day and asked for nothing in return for his services?"

"We offered him, but declined. Saying that our village needed it more than him." Genzo said, excluding the part of Arlong having the Power Star.

"...Very well." Purin inhales and exhales. "Let me assume that everything you have said is true…Is there an explanation as to why Red Cap Mario got hostile against Captain Nezumi?"

At the name, the Commodore could hostility coming out of the three people. "Please, try not to mention that scumbag's name here, Commodore." Doc growled. "And you have one thing wrong; that young man didn't become hostile, he was protecting us after that bastard ordered us to give him all the stolen money. We didn't even deny it at first, yet he already had his men ready to fire at us."

"...Sir. While I understand your anger, you are still accusing a Marine. Do you have any evidence of this accusation?"

To his surprise, Genzo smirks and places a strange device with a button. "This is our evidence." He explained as he pressed the button and a projector formed.

"What in the world?!" Purin was shocked at what he was seeing so advanced, far more advanced than the Transport Snail.

"Good evening everyone. I'm Captain Nezumi."

Purin watched as Nezumi appeared in the image, as he began to inform about seeing the Arlong Pirates, and then demanded the money. Then he saw in horror how Mario pointed out all three details in his reason for coming, with Nezumi confessing that he was bribed by Arlong to ignore him, and then he saw how Nezumi told his men to prepare to shoot only for Mario to enlarge himself and scared them off.

Once done, the projector turned off and Purin had to take a seat, holding his head. ('Nezumi! That bastard! I knew he was a rat!') Everything that has happened makes so much sense now!

Sure, this could be fake, but Nezumi had always reported that nothing was going on. Not to mention his bank account; he has received quite a lot of money! Saying that it was a donation for his 'Good work'.

"...It seems that Captain Smoker was right." Purin sighs, having calm.

"Beg pardon?"

"...Not long ago, Captain Smoker, who is stationed in Loguetown, had a run in with Red Cap. He tried to capture him but was unsuccessful." That made everyone gasp, as they had heard of Smoker's reputation before. "However, Red Cap handed him a jar containing the Arlong Pirates and had told him that he was a far better Marine than the one in charge here. Having suspicion of this, he asked for an investigation concerning this-"

"Hold on!" Nojiko slammed her palm on the desk, "Are you saying you came here after Captain Smoker explained his suspicion?! You didn't come by Nezumi's information!?"

"...No." Purin felt a vein in his head pop. "Headquarters only received the information regarding Red Cap."

"...Commodore." One could feel Genzo's wrath coming out, along with everyone else. "I will be straight right now to you; the pirate known as Red Cap? He's nothing less than a Hero for this island. He stopped a monster that terrorized our home for years, and put to rest many innocent souls, including a woman that was a former marine and mother to the girl here. He fixed our hometown and every single destruction that pirate did to us out of free will and asked for nothing in return. To have him labeled a criminal by the Marines has put a huge discomfort in all of Cocoyashi." The Marine could only nod internally. "And even so, he probably wouldn't care about what you do to him as long as we are left innocent. While I understand this, I can honestly say that the entire island wishes nothing more than to help him; even if it was a little." He stood up, "And I can tell you are not happy with this. So if you want the entire island to start regaining its trust in the Navy, you can start by making something correct."

"...For the first time in my life, I could care less of the Navy's trust." Purin said as he stood up. "We Marines wear our coats for one purpose; to make the people feel safe. To maintain justice. To demoralized criminals." His determination grew in his fiery eyes, "To let this happen under our noses? I will not let it go."

Genzo stretched his hand, "Then we are in agreement?"

Purin didn't wait to accept his hand. "Not an agreement; it's a promise. That rat will never see the light of day ever again."

( 'East Blue, Three days later)

A news coo was flying above the sky, carrying newspapers to deliver to the world. Accidentally, newspapers began to fall off. Thankfully, it was on an island, where people began catching some and reading.

"What?!"

The front page was quite a show.

" Marine Captain dirty! Justice delivered!"

"For over eight years, the Islanders on the Conomi Islands had been living in fear as it was discovered that 'Saw Tooth' Arlong, Captain of the Arlong Pirates, had been in control of the islands with an iron fist. How could this have happened? Well, it wasn't pretty, as Commodore Purin Purin of the 77th Marine Branch discovered the horrifying truth that Captain Nezumi of the 16th Marine Branch was in cahoots with the pirate, getting bribes to turn a blind eye to this."

"Having found a confession from the Captain himself and revealing the bribe money, Commodore Purin-Purin didn't hesitate to arrest the rat. The former marine is now waiting for trial for his crime."

"Wait! Conomi Islands?! That's not far from here!" A citizen said.

"Those poor villagers!"

"Oh dear. Now I won't sleep well today."

"...W-Wait! Hold on!" Someone spoke, reading more into it. "Wasn't there where it was reported that the pirate with the Red Hat was?"

"Red Cap? Yeah?"

"And wasn't Nezumi the one who put the bounty on him?"

"There's something wrong here."

As Mario and his friends landed in Little Garden, they wouldn't learn until way later that the world had been turned upside down a bit in the East Blue.

Speaking of!

"Get back here!" Luffy yelled as he went after Mr. 3, the wax bastard who had tried to kill his nakamas through wax suffocation.

His long run brought him to a clearing, where a smug Mr. 3 was…or rather, multiple Mr. 3 were. "Welcome, Straw Hat." His voice sounded ominous and dangerous. "You may have proven to be strong…but are you smart to know which one I am?" Each clone smiled at him, daring him to try. "Be careful…the moment you least expect, I will-"

"Gum-Gum Stamp!" Luffy shot his leg, stretching it to a Mr. 3, a knife falling from its hand while the clones vanished.

"H-How?!" Mr. 3 was in full denial, holding his face, his glasses having been smashed to pieces.

"Instinct!" Luffy replied.

('Dammit!') The agent cursed as he moved back. He had covered his body in wax for the worst, and it was both a blessing and a curse. ('I can't be here anymore!') He needed to leave!

*Splat*

"Eh?" Something getting squished underneath his foot made Mr. 3 look down, seeing that he had squished a…banana. "Ugh! Just my luck!"

"Oh! A banana!" Luffy said before remembering something. "Hold on…I think Mario said something about not stepping in one of them."

"And that matters?! My shoe is now covered in that disgusting-"

*THUD!*

Whatever the assassin wanted to say vanished when he suddenly felt a dark atmosphere right behind him. Swallowing hard and sweating a lot, he slowly looked behind him and…

Was looking at Death's Door.

"OOOOOOOOOK!" DK roared in Mr. 3's face, throwing away his '3' custom hairstyle.

"Oh cool! A giant gorilla with a red tie!" Luffy perks up in excitement.

"That's what you ask-?!"

"Hi Luffy!" Cappy appeared from behind DK and waved at Luffy.

"Oh, hey Cappy!"

"Is that a flying hat-!?"

*PUM!*

The next thing that Mr. 3 knew…was that he was flying into the air while his body hurt like Hell.

"AYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
