Chapter 9: Battle of the Command Center

Bloom sat straight up in bed. Where was she?

"Oh right, I'm in the Command Center," she remembered out loud.

Stella had left her a change of clothes before the Winx Club left last night. Bloom put on a pink dress with light blue flowers, a matching belt, then put her tennis shoes on. She then walked into the main room.

Zordon and Alpha both said, "Good morning, Bloom."

"Good morning, Zordon. Good morning, Alpha," Bloom replied. She looked around. "Where is everyone?"

"Tommy said that he and the others were picking up breakfast before teleporting here," Alpha replied.

About five minutes later, the rest of the teens teleported in.

"Hey, Bloom." Sky said as soon as he saw her.

"Sky!" Bloom said, running over to him.

"What are the rest of us? Chopped liver?" Stella said.

Bloom laughed. "Not at all. Good morning, everyone."

The teens were all holding Hardee's bags and drink holders. After distributing the food and drinks, the teens settled in and enjoyed their breakfast.

After they finished, Timmy turned to Zordon and asked, "So, how long do you think it will take for Zedd to give up?"

"I can answer that question for you," Zedd's voice echoed throughout the Command Center. "I will never give up until the Dragon Flame is mine."

Everyone turned toward the entrance, shocked to see Zedd, Goldar, and the Trix standing there.

"Lord Zedd, how have you entered the Command Center without a Power Coin?" Zordon asked.

Icy held up one of the Power Coin copies. "It's still amazing what a magic copy spell will do for you," she said.

"You'll never get the Dragon Flame, Zedd," Tommy said.

"Enough talk!" Zedd said. "Goldar, Trix, let's destroy these pests!"

"Just try it!" Tommy said. "It's morphin time!"

Winx Club: "Let's go Enchantix!"

Sky: "Specialists, power up!"

Tommy: "Tigerzord!"

"Bloom: Fairy of the Dragon Flame!"

Zack: "Mastodon!"

"Musa: Fairy of Music!"

Kimberly: "Pterodactyl!"

"Flora: Fairy of Nature!"

Billy: "Triceratops!"

"Tecna: Fairy of Technology!"

Trini: "Saber-Toothed Tiger!"

"Stella: Fairy of the Shining Sun!

Jason: "Tyrannosaurus!"

"Layla: Fairy of Waves!"

"Rangers, your end is here!" Goldar said.

"We'll see about that, Goldar!" Tommy said.

Tommy engaged Goldar, their blades a blur as they fought. Eventually, they locked swords. Zedd took the opportunity to shock Tommy from behind, shooting electricity from his staff. Tommy slumped to the ground, unconscious.

Bloom tried to throw a fireball at Zedd. But Stormy trapped her in a tornado, causing her fireball to be off-target. Zedd then zapped Bloom, causing her to fall to the ground, unconscious.

"Bloom!" Sky cried. "You'll pay for that, Zedd!"

Sky charged foward, Phantoblade activated. He engaged Zedd in a one-on-one duel.

"You have courage, Specialist," Zedd said, easily blocking and parrying Sky's attacks. "But it will do you no good."

Zedd disarmed Sky and hit him in the head, sending him flying into the wall. Sky slumped to the ground, unconscious.

"Sky!" Brandon yelled, running over to his best friend.

He took Sky's helmet off and felt for a pulse.

"Is he okay?" Stella asked.

"He's alive," Brandon replied. "Thanks to his armor."

"Trix, Goldar, let's finish this," Zedd said.

Stormy flew up and started blasting lightning everywhere. Zedd added his own electricity to her attack. The lightning struck the teens, knocking them unconscious. A final bolt struck Alpha, causing him to short-circuit.

"Lord Zedd, you cannot do this," Zordon said.

"Silence, Zordon!" Zedd snapped back. "I am Lord Zedd: sworn enemy of all that is good and right. I can do whatever I please."

The Trix picked up the unconscious Bloom and used a spell to make the Dragon Flame appear. They were about to reach out and touch it when Zedd blasted them with electricity from his staff.

"Foolish witches," Zedd said. "You really think I couldn't see through you're pathetic attempt to use me? No one uses Lord Zedd."

He reached out and touched the Dragon Flame, absorbing its power. His red and silver coloration turned black and gold, and blue flames appeared on the "Z's" on his staff and on his head.

"The power of the Dragon Flame is mine!" Zedd said. "First, I will make you Rangers watch as the Earth you love is destroyed, then I will destroy you, then I will destroy Zordon!"

Zedd laughed evilly, then left the Command Center.
