Chapter 3: The early stage of youth: Part-2

Hiraishin Chronicles: The Return of the Legend

letter/Thinking

Let's unfurl the story's sails and set sail on the sea of imagination.

A whole month has passed since Mito eagerly agreed to babysit Naruto. After eleven months, Tōka and Asahi began talking about revealing their precious son. Currently, the family is sitting at a new food stand that was recently constructed. Thanks to a genjutsu from Tōka, the family could roam the leaf village from the unsuspecting villagers and Shinobi's.

As they browsed the menu, Asahi could not help but frown slightly. "Why could we not get fish or shrimp instead?" he asked with crossed arms. Growing up near a body of water in Uzushiogakure, everyone damn near preferred seafood cuisines.

Tōka chuckled softly as she leaned in, whispering to Asahi, "And you know what happens when you lose a bet in this family, don't you?" Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she glanced at Naruto, who was happily babbling away in his baby high chair.

Asahi sighed dramatically, knowing all too well the consequences of losing a bet in their household. "Fine, fine," he relented, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I guess I'll have to suffer through this meal without my beloved seafood."

Tōka smirked, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I'm sure you'll survive, dear," she teased, reaching over to ruffle his crimson hair affectionately.

The food stand owner approached their table, a wide grin on his face. He had a chief uniform and long, dark, curly hair. His skin was light brown, and his eyes appeared close. And he looked like he was in his early twenties.

"Hello, welcome to Ichiraku Ramen. What can I get for you folks today?" He asked cheerfully.

After a minute of looking at the menu, Asahi ordered the Tori Paitan Ramen, while Tōka chose the Spicy Ramen.

As the owner was jolting down their orders, Tōka quickly asked if he had any baby-safe ramen.

"Of course, I'll be happy to prepare a special bowl of ramen for your little one. It'll be ready in just a few minutes."

As Teuchi returned to the kitchen to prepare the ramen, Tōka and Asahi continued to chat, their eyes occasionally drifting to their son, Naruto, who was happily playing with a small toy in his high chair.

Tōka started softly and thoughtfully, "You know, Asahi, I have been thinking about how we should tell the village about Naruto. Although we have been hiding him for some time, I believe it is time to introduce our beloved son to the world."

Asahi nodded, his expression serious. "I agree. It's been difficult keeping him a secret, but I think it's important for the village to know about him. After all, he is the nephew of both Hokages and the great grandson of the Uzukage. He deserves to be recognized and accepted by the residents of Konoha and Uzushiogakure."

Tōka smiled, her eyes shining with pride. "I couldn't agree more."

Tōka and Asahi talked about revealing Naruto's existence to the village while waiting for their ramen to arrive. They knew it would not be easy, but they were committed to doing what was best for their son.

Teuchi soon returned, carrying their steaming bowls of ramen and a tiny bowl of ramen that was safe for Naruto to eat as a baby. Tōka and Asahi excitedly tucked into their meals first, relishing the deep flavors, before taking turns feeding their son.

They knew that revealing Naruto's identity to the village would be a significant moment, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

{-Scene Change-}

As the villagers were filling up the streets leading to the Hokage tower, they exchanged curious glances, wondering what could have prompted their Hokage to call for such a large public gathering.

"I heard it's about a new mission," one villager whispered to another.

"No, I think it's about a new threat to the village," another chimed in, their eyes wide with concern.

A group of young Shinobi huddled together, discussing the possibilities. "Maybe it's a new alliance with another village," one suggested.

"Or perhaps it's a warning about a powerful enemy," another added, their voice tinged with worry.

Meanwhile, a group of elderly villagers stood nearby, reminiscing about past announcements. "Remember when Lord Hashirama and Lady Mito announced the birth of their first child?" one of them asked, a nostalgic smile on his face.

"Ah, yes," another replied, nodding. "Those were different times."

As the crowd continued to speculate, Tobirama emerged from the tower. His presence commanded respect, and the crowd immediately fell silent.

"Citizens of Konoha," the Hokage began, his voice booming through the streets. "I have called you here today to share some important news. As you all know, our village has faced many challenges over the years. But through it all, we have remained strong and united."

The Hokage paused, his gaze sweeping across the audience. "Today, I am here to tell you about a new chapter in our village's history. A chapter that begins with the birth of a child."

A murmur rippled through the crowd, and the Hokage raised his hand to quiet them. "This child is special. He is the son of two of our most powerful shinobi."

Gasps and whispers filled the air as the villagers processed this news. The Hokage continued, his voice steady and resolute. "The child in question is Naruto Senju Uzumaki. He was born from the union of Konoha and our allies, the Uzumaki clan, and he will serve as an excellent bridge between our two villages. It is now our turn to extend a warm welcome to him as a member of our community."

Upon his completion, Tōka and Asahi emerged into the spotlight, introducing Naruto to the general public.

The villagers and Shinobi were a bit confused about how Naruto would be a bridge to both villages, but after seeing Asahi and Tōka, they understood.

"This is Naruto," Tōka announced, her voice carrying across the square. "Our son, and the bridge between our two villages."

Asahi nodded while maintaining a serious look. "We have kept him hidden for his safety, but now it is time for him to take his place in our community. We ask that you welcome him with open arms."

The villagers and Shinobi exchanged uncertain glances, their initial confusion giving way to understanding. They were aware of the history between Konoha and Uzushiogakure, and understood the significance of Tōka and Asahi's union.

Thus, the introduction of Naruto strengthened the bond between Konoha and Uzushiogakure.

As the news of Naruto's existence spread, the leaders of the nations began to strategize and plan for the potential threat he posed. They knew he would grow into a formidable force due to his powerful lineage, but they also knew he was untouchable, especially given his esteemed heritage.

Weeks after the public announcement, the village of Konoha had slowly begun to adjust to the presence of Naruto. The initial shock had given way to curiosity and acceptance, as the villagers and Shinobi began to see the child of Tōka Senju and Asahi Uzumaki as one of their own.

On a sunny afternoon, the family of three strolled through the bustling streets of Konoha, making their way to the Ichiraku Ramen Stand. It had become a routine for them, as young Naruto found the taste of ramen irresistible to his palate.

As they approached the ramen stand, the owner, Teuchi, greeted them with a warm smile. "Ah, the Uzumaki family," he said, bowing respectfully. "It's good to see you again."

"Thank you, Teuchi," Asahi replied, returning his smile. "We've come for our usual order."

Tōka and Asahi sat at their usual table as Teuchi cooked their ramen, but this time Naruto was on his father's lap, his little hands holding Asahi's shirt.

While waiting for the food, Asahi and Naruto engaged in a tickling contest, which Naruto was losing. The little boy's eyes gleamed with delight as his father's fingers found all the right places, and his laughter filled the room.

With a gentle smile, Tōka observed their actions. She loved seeing her husband and son bonding, their laughter echoing through the ramen stand. Moments such as these served as a reminder to her of the value of her family and the basic pleasures in life.

The smell of the simmering ramen filled the room as Teuchi set the bowls in front of the family. With their mouths watering from anticipation, Tōka and Asahi took deep breaths.

But Naruto was too busy giggling to pay attention to the food. Asahi, seeing his son's distraction, decided to use the opportunity to sneak a bite of ramen. He quickly slurped up a mouthful of noodles, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Tōka couldn't help but laugh at her husband's antics. She teased, her amused eyes sparkling, "Asahi, you are supposed to be feeding Naruto, not yourself."

Naruto, finally noticing the food, reached out for a piece of pork. Asahi helped him, guiding the chopsticks to his mouth. The little boy's laughter gave way to contented chewing as his eyes widened with delight at the taste of the savory meat. All of a sudden, little Naruto started clapping his hands and yelling, "Ra-ramen!"

Tōka and Asahi slowly turned their heads towards their son as a deathly silence swept through the ramen stand. Their eyes widened with surprise, and they exchanged a disbelieving expression.

"Did he just...?" Tōka whispered, her voice barely audible.

"I believe he did," Asahi responded, a smile spreading across his face.

The other customers at the ramen stand started whispering among themselves, their gaze fixed on the young boy who had just said his first words. They couldn't believe that the child of Tōka Senju and Asahi Uzumaki had uttered his first words at the Ichiraku Ramen Stand.

Teuchi, who had been watching the scene unfold, let out a hearty laugh. "Well, it appears little Naruto has a great taste for ramen," he said, his eyes twinkling with delight.
