Luck… defined as an invisible force that caused both good and bad outcomes. Quirks, powers pass down by our genetics, are determined by chance. Some are born lucky, with powerful Quirks that make them stronger than everyone else. And some aren't. At the age of four, I learned that this force favors some people more than others. However, despite the sad truth of the world, I won't let it hold me back and keep me from chancing my dreams. This is the story of how I became the greatest and luckiest hero of all time.

Boba-sensei stood at the front of the class eyeing the papers in his hand. "Alright, you guys are all third years now. It's time to seriously start thinking about your future. I would hand out these career forms, but…" With the flick of his wrist he tossed the papers into the air, "But you all want to be heroes, right.?"

Cheers of joy erupted from the classroom as everyone displayed their Quirks. Be it emitting flames from their mouths or stretching their limbs. "Alright, alright settle down," Boba-sensei called to the students. "You all have wonderful Quirks, but it's against the rules to use them in school!"

As the other students began to chatter, a chuckle could be heard from a student who had his foot resting on the desk, "Oi, sensei, don't lump me in with all these losers. As if I had anything like your crappy Quirks."

"Get over yourself, Katsuki!"

Other students hurled insults at the prideful teen as Boba-sensei looked up, "Bakugo, you plan on aiming for U.A right?"

Bakugo smiled as the other students noted how difficult it was to get into U.A. "That's right you extras. I aced the mock exam! I'm the only one here with the stuff for U.A. Soon, I'll surpass All Might and become the best hero out there! Not to mention I'll be the richest person in the world."

"Don't you want to go to U.A. as well Midoriya?"

Boba-sensei's question caused the classroom to go silent as everyone turned around to see Midoriya, who sank his head into his arms to protect him from the gaze of the whole class. A beat of silence passed and everyone laughed. "No way, Midoriya! You may have good grades, but that won't be enough for the hero program," laughed a student near the front of the class.

"Th-that's not true," the meek teen stuttered out. "Sure, there's never been a Quirkless hero-"

Midoriya was sent flying back and the scared teen scurried against the wall as Bakugo moved closer to him. "Forget the crappy Quirks. You're totally Quirkless. And you think you can rub shoulders with the likes of me!"

The green-haired teen waved his hands frantically, "no Kacchan I wasn't saying I could compete with you… It's just… it's been my dream since I was little and well." He looked down to the floor and whispered, "There's no harm in trying."

"TRY!?" Bakugo growled. "The entrance exam!? You're taking the exam just to try!?" Stepping closer, Bakugo loomed over him with the rest of the class standing behind him. All of them displaying their Quirks, all of them being better than what he had. "What can you even do?!"

Unable to think of a response to his childhood friend's question. Midoriya simply looked down to the ground gripping his cherished necklace.

The school bell signaled the end of the school day. Some students rushed out of the classroom while others took their time as they talked to their friends. Midoriya simply checked his phone for details about the incident with the villain and Kamui Woods. The incident at the station is already blowing up online. I wonder how this will affect Kamui Wood's popularity. Eager to get home, he reached for his notebook but felt it slip from his grasp.

"We ain't done here, Deku." The annoyed tone of Bakugo caught his attention as the explosion user waved the notebook in his hand.

"What's that, Katsuki?" A student with long hair stood next to Bakugo.

A third with wavy hair chuckled as he read the cover, "Hero Analysis For My Future!? Seriously, that's so lame."

Midoriya looked over to Bakugo, "C-come on Kacchan, give it back." His pleas fell on deaf ears as an explosion burnt and singed the notebook. "Why!?"

"The best heroes out there, they show signs of greatness even as students," Bakugo began to speak as he walked over to the window. "I'll be the first AND only hero to come from this crappy public middle school! The first to win the honor of becoming a U.A. student. Guess I'm just a perfectionist."

"More like a narcissist," thought the other two students.

With the flick of the wrist, Bakugo tossed the notebook casually out the window. Midoriya stood there in shock but jumped as a hand was placed on his shoulder. Smoke came from the clothing as Bakugo smiled, "Don't you dare apply to U.A. Or else."

The threat was met with utter silence and Bakugo and his two friends began to leave the classroom. "Jeez," commented the wavy-haired teen. "C'mon, aren't you gonna say something."

"He can't say anything. He's so lame. Even as a third-year student, he still can't face reality," the long-haired teen chuckled.

Bakugo looked over his shoulder, "If you want to be a hero so bad. Here's some advice. Take a swan dive off the roof. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a quirk in your next life."

That comment was the final straw and Midoriya turned around to face his friend. However, all the anger left his body as he saw the look on his former friend's face, taunting him to finally say something.

After Bakugo and his friends left to head home, he calmed down and went to retrieve his notebook. Idiot! If I really jumped, you'd be charged with bullying me into suicide. What would you do then? Then you couldn't become a hero… As much as the green-haired teen disliked the way his 'friend' treated him. He would never actively wish for something bad to happen to him or for something to ruin his chance at becoming a hero. How did things turn out like this Kacchan? We used to be friends...

Midoriya continued to reflect on his friendship with Bakugo as he made his way outside to the side of the building where his classroom was. After rounding the corner, he saw the book had landed inside the school pond as it was being nibbled on by one of the fishes. Disheartened, he reached into the pond, "that's not food, stupid. Give it back." The young teen simply gazed at his soggy notebook, clenching the necklace around his neck. Lucky, huh…

"Sorry kid, but it's not going to happen." Dr. Tsubasa said coldly while leaning on his desk.

"Are you sure doctor? All the other kindergarteners are beginning to develop their Quirks so there must be some mistake," A worried Inko Midoriya asked.

The Doctor leaned back in his chair, "I'm certain." He pointed at an x-ray on the wall. "You see early Quirk research found that an extra joint in the pinky toe coincides with those with Quirks. As Humans evolve, our body loses parts that no longer serve a function. Izuku here has two joints in his toe. Although it is quite rare nowadays, he possesses no Quirk at all. Sorry kid." sighed the doctor. "You just got unlucky."

When he heard those words, a four-year-old Izuku Midoriya felt his whole body freeze. The dream that he had hoped for shattered into a thousand pieces. His heart stopped beating and his hands gripped his shorts as a single question echoed in his mind.

Does that mean I can't be a hero?

Alone in his darkly lit room, a young Midoriya sat absentmindedly watching his favorite video of All Might. The video never failed to put a smile on his face as he watched the shining symbol of justice save the lives of countless people. On most days, the video would always lift his spirits as he daydreamed of becoming just like his idol. Today, however, the smile on his face was a hollow, empty expression due to the news he and his mother had received today.

A few soft knocks came from the entrance to his room and Inko stepped through. "Sweety," she said in the worried tone only a mother could have. "Are you ok?"

"No matter what kind of trouble you're in…. He'll save you with a smile." He turned around in his chair to face his mother. Tears poured out of his eyes as he pointed at the screen, "A super cool hero like that. That's... What I want to be."

Inko's heart broke and ran over to her son, setting down the small box she had with her on the desk. She gripped him tightly, burying his sopping face in the embrace only a mother could provide, "Izuku! I'm sorry! I'm sorry Izuku!"

After a minute, Midoriya returned his mother's embrace and the two remained like this for some time. Once she felt the tears stop from her son's face, Inko grabbed the box. It was not large by any means. Similar to one that would carry an engagement ring in, but it was a bit larger. "Honey, there is something I want to give you. It's a very special treasure that's been in our family for a long time."

Still broken up, the young child wiped his face and asked, "what is it?

As the lid opened, Midoriya gazed upon the golden coin that had been turned into a necklace. His mom picked it up and showed him both sides. On one side was a slime-like creature from a retro video game. The other simply had the number one on it. The coin was held in place by a removable metal chain so that the coin could be taken off. Ponting to the side with the slime, Inko said, "This side his heads and this one is tails. I don't know much about it since it's been in the family for so long, but your grandfather passed it onto me and said to one day pass it on to you. It's a good luck charm." She took the necklace out of the box and placed it around her son's neck, who examined it curiously. "The only thing I know is its name. It's called Lucky Coin."

In his hand, he held the coin from the necklace as he rubbed his thumb over it. That day is when I decided… I decided not to let things like luck or a Quirk hold me back. To keep my chin up and keep moving forward to become a hero even if I don't have a Quirk. Clenching his fist in determination, he placed the necklace back around his neck and continued to walk towards home.

However, a strange sloshing sound caused the teen to turn around. He watched in a mix of surprise and horror as greenish-black ooze came up from a manhole cover on the ground. Seemingly formless at first, a mouth and a set of eyes appeared. "A middle-size body to hide in," said the mass of sludge.

A Villian! Before he could realize the situation, Midoriya found himself surrounded by the sludge. He tried desperately to call for help, but the villain was using his liquid body to go into his mouth. "Don't worry kid. I'm just hijacking your body. Calm down. It'll only hurt for a second then it will all be over." The sludge villain laughed, "you really saved me, you're a real hero. I never thought he'd be in this town."

The teen's thoughts began to get more and more hazy thanks to the suffocation. I can't breathe. I'm going to die!? Please, someone. Anyone!? Save me!

"Fear not, kid!" The smashing of metal caused the villain to turn around quickly in surprise. "I am here!"

Before the villain or Midoriya could react, a punch was sent flying in their direction by the man who appeared from the sewers. The shock wave from the attack caused the sludge villain to break apart into pieces. With his consciousness fading, the teen looked over to his hero. All Might…

"Hey! Hey! Kid, Wake up!"

Feeling a light slap against his face, Midoiyra blinked a few times as the sun hit his face. However, when he opened his eyes, he was greeted by an unexpected sight.

"Thank goodness you're awake young man."

The sight of All Might, the number one hero and his idol standing over him caused the teen to scream and scurry back against the ground.

"Seems like you're okay too. Excellent!" The large hero placed his hand on his forehead, "Apologies for getting you caught up in my villain hunt. Mistakes like that aren't my style, but this is strange land to me. Plus I'm off camera! But I thank you. I was able to capture the villain thanks to your assistance."

While All Might spoke, Midoriya sat on the ground completely star struck. All Might. He's here… in the flesh. Standing right in front of me… Even his text is written differently. Quickly shaking himself from his self-induced trance, he searched around for one of his notebooks. "An Autograph. Where's my notebook!?" He found one on the ground and began to flip through the pages for the perfect spot. Only to find 'All Might' written in big leaders across the page. "He already did it!" The teen quickly rose to his feet and began to bow repeatedly in thanks. "Thank you All Might! What a treasure! It'll be a new family heirloom!"

All Might gave a thumbs up to his supporter. "Anything for my fans. But now I must give this villain over to the police. You can catch me on TV!"

"Wait, is that it? I…" Midoriya stuttered out a few words as All Might stretched to leave. All Might you can't leave yet, there's still something I want to ask you.

"A pro Battles not only enemies but also time. Thank you for your support!" With a single leap, the hero flew into the sky with great speed. However, All Might felt an extra weight on his leg. Looking back revealed that Midoriya was clinging onto his leg for dear life. "Release me! I love my fans, but such enthusiasm is a bit much!"

As All Might struggled to free himself, Midoyira said, "If I let go now… I'll die…!"

"True enough."

"Please, I need to ask you so many things…" Midoriya's face contorted and morphed with the wind rushing past him.

"Okay okay. Just do me a favor and keep your eyes and mouth shut." As the pair flew through the air, a drop of blood dripped from the corner of All Might's mouth. Damn!

Meanwhile, on the streets below, three teens were making their way home.

"Katsuki, Haven't you known him since you were kids. Midoriya, I mean," questioned the wavy-haired teen while popping out a cigarette.

The long-haired teen stretched his fingers to grab one as well. "Yeah, you went too far today. Especially with the 'kill yourself' comment."

Bakugo angrily kicked a bottle on the ground. "It's his fault for messing with me. Seeing him so full of stupid dreams like when we were kids." An explosion went off in the teen's hand, causing the other two to jump while burning the empty soda can in his hands. "It just pisses me off." He turned and tossed the can into a trash can and saw his two lackeys with cigarettes in their mouths. "Thought I told you to stop smoking. If you get caught then it will go on my record. Plus they're bad for you."

While Bakugo looked at the other two, he noticed the expressions on their faces change into looks of horror. "A body… with a good Quirk."

With a loud crash, All Might and Midoriya landed on a rooftop. "Scary," the teen said while trying his best to collect himself.

Meanwhile, All Might walked over to the railing. "Of all the," he said angrily. "Hopefully the people downstairs will help us down. I have no time though! Truly!"

Seeing his opportunity slip through his fingers, Midoriya spun on his heels, "Wait… I-"

"NO! I will not wait!"

"Even without a Quirk… can I still be a hero? Can someone without a quirk… become a hero like you?"

All Might stopped as he moved over to the railing. Looking over his shoulder at the green-haired teen whose gaze was locked to the ground. The question grabbed his attention, "Quirks are-" Suddenly his heartbeat loudly in his ears, sending a sharp pain through his whole body. Oh no. Damn it all…

Midoriya failed to notice the steam billowing from All Might and continued to gaze at the floor. "Because I don't have a Quirk, I…" he shook his head, "Well, maybe that's not the only reason. But I've always been picked on by all my classmates… that's why… maybe that's why I think saving people is just about the coolest thing you can do." As he gripped the coin around his neck, a smile crept onto his face. "The way you save people with that fearless smile! I want to do the same thing! I want to be the strongest hero, just like y-"

Finally looking up from his monologue, Midoriya stopped as the heroic stature of All Might was replaced by a skeleton. The chiseled features of his face were now sunken in, making the man in front of him appear almost sickly. The sheer surprise from the transformation made the teen stutter out, "You're all shriveled up! Were you… A fake?! An imposter!?"

"I am All Might," said the skeleton while spitting up an unhealthy amount of blood.

"No way!"

All Might wiped it away while Midoriya continued to panic. "You know how people hold in their gut at the pool. It's like that."

"No way!"

"A fearless smile, huh," the hero let out a deep sigh as he sat on the ground. He looked up to Midoriya who seemed to still be processing everything. "You've seen the real me, kid. Don't write about this online, Okay?" A wordless nod was received and he lifted his shirt, I'm already in this deep. Might as well explain it a bit. The black and blue flesh around his stomach made Midoriya shiver at the sight of it. "Five years ago, an enemy did this to me. My respiratory system was nearly destroyed, and my stomach was removed. I've wasted away because of the after-effects of those surgeries. I can only do Hero work for about three hours a day."

Midoriya thought back and asked, "five years ago… Was that when you fought Toxic Chainsaw."

"You've done your homework," chuckled All Might while dropping his shirt. "But that lowlife? He could never do this to me. This fight was never made public. Or rather, I asked it not to be made public." The number one hero's expression changed more downcast as he looked to the floor. "A Symbol of Peace who saves people with a smile, Must never be daunted by evil. The reason I smile is to stave off the overwhelming pressure and fear I feel." He let out a sigh before looking up at the teen. " To answer your question, a pro should always be ready to gamble with his life. Without power, can one become a hero? No, I should not think so."

The words echoed in Midoriya's mind. Shattering the final dregs of hope that were left in his body. Then I… really can't be a hero… His hand which had been gripping his Lucky Coin fell limply to his side as All Might stood and began to walk towards the exit to the roof.

"If you desire to help people, becoming a police officer is always an option. Those villain custody officers are often mocked, but that too is admirable work!" He looked over his shoulder at the teen, who remained a motionless husk. "It's not wrong to dream. However, you need to be realistic, kid."

With those final words, he closed the door and began to walk down the flight of stairs leading to the street below. Alright, I have to get this guy too… Patting his pockets, he noticed they lacked the bottles containing the villain. His panic grew as an explosion happened off in the distance, which just happened to be in the direction he flew over. Oh no…

At the scene, Bakugo was struggling all he could to not let the sludge villain take hold of his body. Various pros were trying their best to tackle the issue, but it was getting worse and worse as time went on. The villain's liquid body was making it difficult for them to capture him and the powerful explosions being set off by Bakugo weren't helping.

Trying desperately to catch his breath, All Might stood at the back of the crowd of civilians. It must have happened when that fan was clinging onto my leg. The villain must have slipped out of my pocket then. He grabbed his wound and grit his teeth. I lost track of time! And now I'm useless! Pathetic… Pathetic.

Midoriya walked along the streets to home. Any sense of drive in the young man was replaced by the crushing weight of reality. Like before, he ran his thumb over the face of Lucky Coin. However, the sense of determination to achieve his goals was gone. Even… the best of the best said it. Tears threatened to surface and he tried to wipe them away. Don't cry. You knew already, Right!? This is reality… I just got unlucky.

Before another thought crossed his mind, a crowd of people across the street caught his attention. He could see the flames and surmised it must be another villain. Instinctively, his body carried him towards the crowd to see the fight. I'm so used to gawking my body must have carried me here of its own accord. Just stop it. I'll only make myself feel like-

His thoughts got cut off when he saw the villain in question. The sludge villain!? How!? All Might captured that villain. Did he let him go? Thinking back to the train of events prior, it becomes obvious how this happened. "This is my fault."

"Why're the heroes just standing there?"

"Seems like the villain grabbed a middle schooler."

Midoriya listened to the two other civilians talk and remembered the pain he experienced when the villain attacked him earlier. Grabbed? So he's enduring that same pain.

"Hey, that villain… isn't it the one All Might was chasing after."

"All Might!? No way, he's really here!?"

"Yeah, I saw him earlier."

"Then what's All Might doing now?"

The Pit in the teen's stomach only grew deeper as he listened to the crowd talk, It's my fault All Might can't do anything! This guy can't be caught. We have to wait for someone with the right Quirk to show up! Guilt ate away at the teen as he grasped his Lucky Coin in his hand. Hang in there… I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Someone will come to save you. A hero's bound to come-

Before he could finish the thought, a pair of eyes met his gaze. Midoriya quickly realized that the hostage the villain had taken was none other than Bakugo. Time seemed to stop for a moment as eyes filled with fear shot back at him, pleading for someone to save him. In that single moment. Izuku Midoriya didn't hesitate and his legs carried him past the police blockade and towards the raging inferno.

Everyone, including the pros, the police, and All Might, realized too late the teen running towards the villain. "Stop!" Shouted Death Arms. "Get back here you fool."

Despite the cries of the other pros, Midoriya kept running, not even noticing he dropped his notebook and his lucky coin.

I didn't know it at the time, but the moment I dropped my Lucky Coin and ran into the flames to save Kacchan. That is when this all began…

The coin hit the ground with a small tap, unceremoniously rolling a bit before stopping completely landing with the heads side up. And then… a dim light, so dim that nobody noticed it, shined from the coin.

[System: Requirements Met]

[Ultimate Gamble Taken]

Unaware of what was happening with those strange messages, Midoriya thought quickly. What should I do? What do I do? At times like this. His mind went to the page in his hero notebook about Kamui Woods and an idea came to mind. He took off his backpack and spun around as he ran. With all his strength he tossed it at the villain.

[Passive skill: Beginner's Luck]

School supplies flew out from the bag, striking the villain's eyes. As he growled in pain, Midoriya took this chance to try and free his friend. "Kacchan!"

"Deku!" The explosion user coughed, "Why are you here?!"

"I don't know. My legs just started moving…" He cried as he clawed at the sludge. It's just… You looked like you needed saving."

All Might stared in awe. This young man… Charging in to save his friend while I stand here and do nothing. I'm pathetic! Pathetic! Steam billowed off the man and he inflated.

The sludge villain recovered from his injury and turned his attention towards his attacker. "Just a bit longer. So stop getting in my way." He formed a giant hand with his sludge and swung it at Midoriya.

"Does he have a death wish! He'll die for nothing," Death Arms cried out as he and the other heroes rushed forward to try and save the two teens.

However, a large hand grabbed the wrist of the two while also blocking the villain's attack. "The lesson I left you with young man… I should practice what I preach!" All Might pulled back his fist, "A pro should always be ready to gamble his life for the sake of others! DETROIT SMASH! With a single thunderous punch, a giant shockwave was sent in all directions along with pieces of the sludge villain everywhere. Both the heroes and the civilians had to cover their eyes from the wind created by the attack.

The silence was felt through the scene quickly as they witnessed the incredible display of strength of the number one hero. As the rain poured from the sky, they began to cheer for the victory of the heroes.

Afterward, the heroes collected the villain's scattered body while the police got ready to take him into custody. Both the heroes and the police were mad at me for putting myself in danger while Kacchan got praise for his bravery and the strength of his Quirk.

As the day came to a close, Midoriya walked along the neighborhood streets thinking about the incident. I wanted to apologize to All Might, but he was still being interviewed by the press. I guess I'll leave a message on his website when I get home.

"Oi, Deku!" From around the corner behind him, Bakugo stood there with an annoyed expression. "I never asked you to save me! As if you could! I could have beaten him myself! How dare a Quirkless failure like you to pity me! Trying to win me over!? Don't you dare mock me!? Stupid nerd!" Having made his peace, the teen spun on his heels and disappeared down another street.

What a tough guy, Thought Midoriya. But he's right. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't change anything. But still… I'm glad. Now, I can finally focus on a more realistic future. Satisfied, Midoriya turned around to walk back home, his Lucky Coin in hand.

"I am here!"

But before he could, All Might slide in from around the corner. "All Might!? Why are you here!? You were surrounded by reporters."

The hero chuckled, "Shaking them was nothing for me. After all, I'm All M-" All Might suddenly changed into his skeleton form and coughed up some blood, causing Mirodirya to scream. "Anyway, Kid… I've come to thank you and revise what I said earlier. I also have a proposal." Although curious, Midoriya kept quiet and let him continue. "Without you, if I hadn't heard your story today, I'd have been nothing but fake muscles and insecurity! So thank you!

While it was nice to hear All Might thank him, Midoriya wasn't sure he deserved it. "That… no. I mean it's all my fault. If it wasn't for me clinging to your leg, you won't have dropped the villain in the first place. I got in your way even though I'm Quirkless, I dared to ask if-"

"Exactly," the pro interrupted. "Of all the people at the scene, it was you, timid and Quirkless, who acted. You spurred me to action! Most of the top heroes show signs of greatness even as children. Many claim… their bodies began to move before they could think. That's what happened to you back there, Yes?"

"Young man, YOU CAN BE A HERO!"

As All Might spoke, Midoriya found himself falling to the ground. Eyes watering as he held onto his Lucky Coin. Those words that he so desperately wanted, needed to hear from anyone were being said to him by his idol.

After crying on the ground for several minutes, All Might continued and said. "I believe you're worthy of inheriting my power!" Looking down at the teen, he received a confused 'huh' from the teen. "What's that face for!? It's a proposal! The real work begins here boy! I'm asking you if you want to try and accept my power! This concerns my Quirk, kid."

All Might explained that his Quirk, known as One for All, was passed down to him as an Olympic torch and has been passed down from person to person forming a network of power. The whole thing was confusing Midoriya as the concept of passing on a Quirk sounded impossible. "I've been searching for a successor for a while now… and I believe that you are worthy! You may be Quirkless. A mere hero admirer. But today, you were more heroic than anyone else. But of course, it all depends on what you say?"

Quickly wiping away the tears from his face Midoriya thought, He told me so much. He's divulged his greatest secret to me! Do I have any reason to refuse? With a determined smile, he nodded, "Yes I accept!"

All Might smiled proudly, "A quick answer. I'd expect nothing less. It's getting late so I'll save the details for later. Meet me at Takoba Beach in two days around 6 am. We'll start your training then."

The teen nodded, "Yes sir."

"One more thing before I go, kid," he stretched out his hand. "I never got your name."

Smiling widely, he said while shaking hands with the hero, "Izuku Midoriya."

"Well, young Midoriya. I will see you soon." All Might buffed up and spun on his heels, "Now, here I am… Making an exit." With a single leap, he disappeared into the sky leaving the teen behind.

I better get home too, he thought. Doing just that, Midoriya made his way home with high spirits. When he finally returned home, his mother greeted him and asked about where he had been. He told her about the sludge villain and how All Might saved him and Bakugo, omitting some of the details. His mother was obviously concerned for her son and he assured her he was fine.

After going through his nightly routine, Midoriya climbed into bed thinking about the training he would do with All Might in a few days. I can be a hero… Those thoughts were what carried him into dreamland.

"Hey Kid, wake up! Honestly, I wish I could really slap you. This would be a lot easier."

Midoriya blinked a few times as his head turned over to his All Might alarm clock. The time displayed midnight on it and it made him wonder if he was still dreaming. With a grumble, he turned back over thinking he was just hearing things.

"Don't go back to sleep!"

Recognizing that the voice was male, he sat up and began to rub his eyes. The lack of light from the window showed that it was indeed still nighttime. Now with clear eyes, he scanned his room and his heart stopped at what he saw. Standing before him was a man who looked to be in his early to mid-20s. His arms were crossed as he smiled widely, radiating confidence much in the same way Bakugo did. His long crimson hair reached down his back with long bangs covering his forehead. Making his red eyes stand out more was the ornament on his head, a bright red jewel with two wings pointing out from each side sat top of the man's head. This ornament matched the rest of man's armor, all colored a bright gold that made even some hero costumes appear gaudy. The man waved his hand, "Hey, about time you woke up."

Uncertainty quickly turned to fear and Midoriya backed away towards the wall, "Who are you?!"

Somehow, the man's grin grew wider. "Name's Hardcore Leveling Warrior."

Author's Note:

I'm sorry for the lack of stuff the past couple of months. To say the least it has been crazy at home and I had to move into my own place for reasons. But now that settled in, things should start to pick up a bit more starting with this rewrite.
