In the hospital…
Sasuke continued to sweat, shiver, and moan as Itachi came to check on him.
The Older Uchiha of the few remaining clans looked to his brother with comfort and tried to brush away the strands of hair from his perspiring face. The venomous bite of that horrible snake took a toll on his brother as Itachi could feel the Chakera being contaminated with a powerful evil. The next time he finds that awful, awful snake, he will go for the head. There will be no mercy or second chances. The older brother tried to calm himself as his killer's intent was spilling out. He needed to control his temper, especially since he himself was not well and his family needed him.
"Uchiha Itachi?"
The Shinobi then turned around to see the nurse behind him with a clipboard. She looked saddened that such a young and talented ninja would soon be forced into early retirement in the next few years due to a terrible disease. Such a great and noble warrior did not deserve such a fate such a this, though it could be worse as there is a possibility of death if he does not retire. The village was still shocked by the spreading news of the poor Uchiha Clan Leader.
"Please come with me for your examination." The nurse requested of the young man, who nodded and then looked at his little brother one more time before tapping him on the head.
"I'll be right back, Little Brother." He promised Sasuke before leaving the chair and following the nurse to the examination room.
At the Examination room…
Itachi was getting prepared when he saw a young girl, a friend of Naru's being wheeled in for treatment.
"What's going on?" he wondered as the other nurses looked deeply concerned.
"Hyuuga Hinata has been severely wounded by Hyuuga Neji during one of the matches." The nurse informed him as she was prepping the Uchiha for his examination.
Of course, it was him…
That clan gave others a bad name. When he has the chance to, he will teach the Hyuuga Clan a lesson in respect.
"Try to relax and we can take a closer look at you." The nurse requested while Itachi breathed.
"Do what you must."
The machine was turned on as Itachi closed his eyes and tried to think of peaceful thoughts….
He let his mind go and his spirit relax…
Let the world be detached and enter a place with no substance and no space…
Just drift away…

In Sasuke's Room…
The younger Uchiha was breathing hard and muttering in his sleep, nightmares of snakes and demons plaguing his mind, the worst was losing his friend, losing Naruto to these monsters and him being too powerless to do so.
"Naru… Naru… Naru…" He would whisper over and over in his sleep.
"Don't worry about her, Naruto is too stubborn to die and too strong." Kakashi tried to soothe his student who was dreaming in his sleep.
"Naru… Naru… Naru… Where are you…?"
"She's not here. She's still with the others in the exam. I'm sure she'll visit you both after they're done."
"Naru… Naru… Naru…"
Kakashi chuckled, it seemed that their silly little Dobe truly did win another Uchiha's heart. Though Sasuke would never admit it, he really did love Naru like his brother, like the Hokage's grandson, like Might Guy's student. Naru seemed to lure the most interesting men like a moth to the flame. It looks like the Hokage wouldn't have to worry about her finding husbands before she's eighteen.
"Naru… Naru… Naru…"
Kakashi didn't respond, he simply stayed by his side.
