Prologue: Inside Truman Highschool Cafeteria…
During lunch time, one of the cafeteria tables was filled with its usual students. Cheerleaders, jocks and the popular crowd were gathered around as they gossiped about a fellow classmate.
A blonde in a cheerleader uniform giggled, "She's such a slut."
"So?" The jock next to her shrugged with a smirk of his own, "Personally, I'm very pro-slut." She hit him in the shoulder making his smirk instantly disappear from his face, "What happened, anyway?"
"She totally banged Jamie Jaffe, that's what. She gave him the reverse cowgirl and everything." Taylor, the girl they were gossiping about, walked up to the table and got ready to sit down, "Hi, Taylor. How was your weekend?"
The brunette shrugged, "Fine, I guess."
"You didn't… go to the rodeo?"
Taylor frowned as they all started giggling before confusion etched on her face upon seeing someone new sitting at their table, "That's my spot."
"Sorry. This is a skeev-free zone."
The jock coughed into his hand, "Slut!" And then the whole table started chanting with him, "Slut! Slut! Slut! Slut!"
Taylore stormed off, slammed down her tray and sat down at another table. The only other person at the table was April, an overweight shy girl.
April offered a small comforting smile, "You shouldn't listen to those jerks."
Taylor glared, "Leave me alone."
"I just mean… I'm sorry, that's all."
"You?" Taylor scoffed as emotion filled her eyes from the whole ordeal, "You're sorry? Don't you feel sorry for me, you fat, ugly pig."
Tears sprung to Aprils eyes at her words and she hurriedly got up and left the table.
The next day, Taylor was in the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying at what her friends had said in the cafeteria. She was too distracted to see April approach her from one of the stalls.
"You think I'm ugly?"
Taylor swung around startled, "Look, I'm sorry about yesterday." She wiped her face of the fresh tears, "I didn't mean it, okay?"
Without another word, April grabbed Taylor and slammed her around, hitting her head hard on the mirror and sink. She then dragged her to one of the stalls as she screamed for help.
"I'm not ugly."
April held Taylors head under water in the toilet until Taylor stopped struggling. She then let Taylor fall to the ground and stared down at her unmoving body. Black goo, ectoplasm, started to drip out of one of her eyes.
"You're ugly."
SECTION ONE
A few days later at the hospital…
Sam was in hospital whites, dressed as an orderly, as he sat in a chair with a clipboard and talked to April.
"I'm not talking about it anymore." She shook her head, "I already told the cops and the doctors. No one believes me. They think I'm crazy."
"Well…" Sam offered her a soft smile, "I'm a little bit more open-minded than most. April, why did you tell the police you were possessed?"
"It doesn't matter…"
"It matters to me."
She stared at him for a few seconds before sighing, "When I- when I hurt Taylor, I was there, in my head, but I couldn't control my body. I could see what I was doing, but I couldn't stop." She sniffled as her tears started flowing again, "I just wanted to stop. I'm sorry."
"You don't need to apologize. April… some of the kids at school told the police that you and Taylor didn't get along."
"Well, yeah, but I never wanted to kill her. Never." She finally met his eyes, "Do you believe me?"
"I do, April. I've just got a couple more questions. On the day this happened, did you… happen to smell anything?"
"Anything… like what?"
"Like rotten eggs or… sulfur?"
"Um…" She frowned, "No."
"Okay, um, did you notice any black smoke?"
She scoffed, "What are you, crazy?"
Back outside, Angel and Dean watched as Sam walked out of the mental hospital and back to the car. After he took a seat in the back, Dean looked at him from the rear view.
"So?"
"I think she's telling the truth. I mean, the way she talked about being there mentally but not physically- kind of sounds like demonic possession to me."
Angel furrowed her brows, "Kind of?"
"She didn't see any black smoke or smell sulfur."
"Maybe it's not a demon." Dean shrugged, "I mean, kids can be vicious."
"Especially teenage girls…" Angel agreed, "They're ruthless. Especially if they're from different cliques."
"Well, I mean, we're already here." Sam shrugged, "Might as well check out the school."
"Right." Dean rolled his eyes, "The school." He feigned excitement, "Truman High, home of the Bombers."
Angel rose a brow, "Okay teen spirit, what's with the animosity? We were in town for like, what, a month while dad and I finished our cases? You guys were barely at Truman High. Not really enough time for much of anything."
"I don't have animosity." He rolled his eyes, "I just don't know why Sams so jazzed to go back when, like you said, we went there for a month like a million years ago."
"I'm not." Sam tried, and failed, to look nonchalant, "I just think it's worth looking into."
"Alright, well, what's our cover?" Dean conceded, "FBI? Homeland Security? Swedish exchange students?"
"Don't worry." Sam smirked, "I got an idea."
"Okay." Dean turned the car on as he threw a look to Angel, "Didn't you and Asa work some freaky-deaky cave monster here?"
"A Kappa. They're these aquatic things that feed on young women so they can basically suck out all their life force and live forever." She explained, "Girls from the local college campus were going missing. Dad parked us here so I could work the case undercover and keep an eye on you two. Turns out, they were being fed to a chained up Kappa."
"Skeevy."
"Very." She smirked, remembering that case was where her entire relationship with Asa started, "Actually, that's how Asa and I met. He was the hunter that helped me out."
"He was?" Sam asked, "You actually let him help you?"
"Eh, it ended up that way. It was easier for the two of us to work together, but at first i wasn't having any of it. You know how I was back then when it came to working with others."
"Oh yeah." Dean chuckled as he shook his head, "Same way dad was. Other hunters equaled bad news bears."
"Exactly, but eventually I sucked it up." She shrugged, "You two know the rest, more or less anyway."
"Where is he? Hasn't been around for a while."
"He went up to Canada to visit his mom for a week or two. Then he and some friends caught a case a few towns over. Werewolf he said."
