Iruka's first mission back in the field turns out to be his last when he gets caught in a dangerous trap. Kakashi gets him back to the village in time to save his life, but not his leg. Now Iruka must cope with the loss of his leg and what that means for his future in Konoha.

Two years after Orochimaru left Konoha he comes back to strike back at Minato for taking the title of Hokage from him where it'll hurt him the most: his family. Escaping with Minato's newborn son Orochimaru hands him over to the only place that hates Minato more than he does. Now Iwa is given the perfect tool to use against their greatest enemy.
