The next chapter is up! I would like to also advise that this story is rated M because there will be violence, language, and sexual situations. I will try and post warnings above the chapters that will have explicit sexual situations, in case anyone wishes to skip over it.

Enjoy :)

She quickly whirled around to face the person the voice belonged to. What she saw in front of her, were two men. Both of which, decked out in these strange white uniforms.

She noted the label on the right breast of the jackets, and they had an insignia on them. It didn't take long to realize they were wearing an outfit similar to what astronauts wore.

One man was fairly young, possibly around her age with deep brown eyes and short, dark brown wavy hair. The other man next to him was a little older with bluish grey eyes and short blonde hair.

It took her a moment to remember that they asked her if she was ok.

"Yeah...yeah, I'm ok. But...where in the hell are we?" She asks.

Now that they were standing before her, they can make out her features better.

She was very petite, probably no more than 4ft. 11in. to about 5ft. tall. She a toned build to her, with long dark brown hair that was a bit wind-blown and sticking out in various places from her limp ponytail.

Her eyes were a shade of sky blue with a rather fair complexion.

It didn't pass the younger one's gaze to find her to be rather cute and attractive.

She was wearing a light purple tank top and olive-green cargo capris that went down to the top of her knees. She also wore these odd sneakers that had crisscrossed laces on the front but didn't seem to tie together.

The dark-haired man shrugs at her question.

"We're not entirely sure ourselves. To be honest." He admitted.

She arched a dark brow as her eyes went back and forth between them. Not a couple moments after he spoke, his blonde friend spoke up next.

"We were on our ship doing a routine mission in space. Next thing we knew, alarms were blaring. After that, we blacked out not long after. Then when we awoke, we found ourselves in some old bunker.

We were unsure at the time on how we got there. Until an old man came in with some food and explained that he found us unconscious in our ship, then carried us out to safety.

Apparently, he left a little while ago to get us some new clothes." The blonde male explained.

"Yeah, because apparently we stick out in these." The brunette male added sarcastically.

"A ship? So, you are astronauts then." She said, her assumption about them right.

They nodded, "Yeah, and we'd eventually like to get back to it and soon. The old guy said he bring us there in the morning. Of course, we didn't feel like being cooped up in the bunker and wanted to explore these new surroundings." The dark-haired man stated.

"I would like to ask how it is you got here. Because it certainly was the strangest entrance or shall we say phenomenon either of us have seen." The blonde told her.

"Yeah, there was a bright flash of light. Then it was like you appeared out of thin air." His dark-haired friend added.

"Believe me, I'm just as baffled as you two. I was just walking along a wooded path in a nearby park that I know very well, just minding my business when something very bazaar happened.

The sky suddenly became very dark, and it started to storm. The wind picked up unusually fast and thunder and lightning started to streak through the air then..." She trailed off, going silent.

There was a brief moment of silence before one of the men spoke.

"Then what?" The blonde man inquired.

"It was...very weird. Like something out of a goddamn Sci-fi movie or the fucking Twilight Zone. The lightning was kind of zig zagging through the sky and rather low to the ground..." She explained.

The young woman went on to explain further to how she got here. It was a little hard to describe at first. And had they not confirmed seeing her landing here, she probably would've believed they thought her crazy.

"I know, it sounds nuts. Believe me, I would've thought someone was either kidding or on drugs if they told me about a tale like this. But you said before you saw for yourselves how I got here.

And while the way you got here sounds more logical and rational, there just is no rational explanation as to how I got here. In truth, it should've been completely impossible." She said.

The two men felt pretty bad for her and wish they could give her an explanation or answers. But just like her, they were just as stumped. Because she was right, there was no logical or rational way for her to end up here.

"We're sorry that we can't give you any answers either. But look at it this way, you're not alone, and you're more than welcome to stick with us." The blonde man told her.

A small, relieved smile appeared on her face.

In normal circumstances, she knew it wouldn't be wise to go off with strange people that she never met before and didn't know. But it was obvious that these men were clearly out of place among these surroundings and appeared to be just as lost as she was.

"Thanks. Because I think the last thing anyone wants is to be lost here. Especially, when you don't even know where to begin on figuring out where we are. She replied.

"You're welcome. And by the way, the name is Virdon. Alan Virdon." He said, then stuck out his hand for her to shake.

The young woman stuck out her own small hand and grasped his and shook it.

"I'm Kristin Vinci." She replied.

"And I'm Pete Burke." The dark-haired man next to him said, while sticking out his hand.

She shook the younger man's hand next before pulling back.

"So, what's the next step? Anyone...have any ideas?" She inquires.

"Well, it's like we said, we came out here out of curiosity to look around. We're probably about ten minutes from the bunker we came from. Before we saw the crazy light show and you suddenly appearing." Pete informed her.

"And I think we should head back. From what the old man told us before he headed out that it wouldn't be safe for us to be out here." Alan cautioned.

The older more cautious man was reluctant to leave from the start after the old man warned them of the dangers. But of course, Pete just shrugged it off with a small laugh and went out anyways.

"Why wouldn't it be safe?" She asked.

Alan gestured for her to come with them as he had them turn back to start walking back the way they came.

She barely took a couple steps, before Pete noticed something on the grass behind her. Whatever it was, the flat surface was glinting in the sunlight.

"Hey, I think you forgot something." He said to Kristin.

She stopped and saw him point to something behind her.

Kristin turned around and saw her iPhone on the grass. She went back and picked it up off the ground. Then she walked back to the pair while inspecting it to see the damage.

Thankfully and surprisingly enough, it didn't look like it was damaged at all. She hit the small round button at the bottom and the screen popped up.

'Damn, this protective case really is sturdy as hell. There are no cracks on the screen or anything.' She thought.

"What exactly is that thing?" Pete asks, as he eyes it curiously.

Alan too thought the object was rather strange.

He too wouldn't mind inquiring more about it. But he rather do so from the safety of the bunker.

"Whatever it is, it can wait until we are back at the bunker." The older man stated.

Pete didn't ask any more questions. It was obvious his friend was eager to get back. Though he doesn't understand what the rush is. This place really didn't appear to be all that dangerous.

Just looked like your average run of the mill woods. Woods that looked eerily similar to the kind you would find on Earth.

They couldn't have been walking for more than seven minutes when they heard the distinct chirping of a bird coming from a nearby tree. The three of them stopped and looked around, spotting the bright colored bird on a branch up above.

"Well, I'll tell you. We could've landed in a worse place that's for sure." He said.

No sooner did the words leave his mouth though, gunshot rang through the air.

All three of them instinctively ducked down. Kristin doing so with a startled yelp. Then they heard a strange shout in the distance and heard what sounded like horses galloping across the way towards them.

They ran, and as they did, Kristin chanced a look behind them and her eyes nearly bugged out of her head.

'The fuck!? Are those apes on horseback!?' Her mind screamed.

They continued to run for their lives. Until they came to an abrupt stop and Alan grasped her arm and pulled her behind some rocks and roots. Pete was right there with them.

The trio watched in disbelief at what they were seeing. A small group of what appeared to be apes, gorillas in particular on horses and wearing some type of leather clothing.

All of them sported rifles in hand and appeared to be looking around. Most likely for them.

"Those were apes! What kind of place is this!?" Pete harshly whispered in clear surprise.

"Yeah, it's official. We're in the fucking Twilight Zone. That's for sure." Kristin blurted out in surprise and very nervous.

Meanwhile in Central City...

"You certainly are bright and amusing, Galen. But tell me why it is you believe you are suited for the position of advisor?" An old yet important orangutan stated.

"Well, I do have some requirements." The one in question replied.

"What?" The orangutan pushed.

"My father. He is a very old friend of yours and you owe him a favor." The smug young chimp replied.

The old orangutan chuckled in amusement. While the young chimp known as Galen smirked while shrugging his shoulders.

Meanwhile outside of his office, a male human servant had just answered the front door. A gorilla in uniform had just came with an urgent message. The servant said he will see if his master is busy.

"Do you always come off this amusing?" The old orangutan asked.

"Only with people whom I like." Galen smartly replied, still working the charm.

The old orangutan was still finding the young chimp to be the rather humorous and spirited one. But before he could say anything else, there was a knock on his office door.

"Yes? What is it?" He barked impatiently at being disturbed.

"Apologies, Sir. But this is an important message from the village of Chailo." The servant said.

"Chalio?" The old orangutan questioned.

"A small settled about ninety miles south from Central City. My second cousin from my mother's side is the prefect there." Galen smartly chimed in.

"I see, and do you have friends everywhere?" The orangutan retorted.

"I try, Sir." Galen stated, still being a bit of a smartass.

"You are not only amusing your..." the orangutan trailed off as he read more of the letter.

"Impossible." He muttered under his breath.

"What seems to be the matter?" Galen asks.

Without another word, the old orangutan, handed him the letter.

Galen took it and started to read it over. The more he read, the more dumbfounded he was. None of what he was reading made any sense at all to him. It looked to be more like some kind of elaborate joke.

"Do you believe no matter how much you try to prevent something; it always finds a way to come back?" The orangutan stated cryptically.

"I don't understand this, Sir. Humans are either farmers, laborers, or servants. This whole thing sounds like pure fantasy." Galen replied.

The older orangutan whirled around abruptly to face him.

"Destruction is not fantasy, Galen!" He barked.

He then walked up to his desk, appearing deep in thought.

"It appears, there is still much more for you to learn." The orangutan added.

Galen just sat there with a stumped look on his face.

Back at the Bunker...

"I still don't understand. None of this makes any sense. And those apes...it's just not possible." Kristin said, still in disbelief and denial at what they just saw.

Not long after they safely made it back to the bunker, the old man known as Farrow came back. He had clothes in hand for the two men. But was startled to see a young woman was now with them.

"Who...who are you?" Farrow asked.

"I'm Kristin. They kind of found me lost in the woods here." She told him.

The old man eyed her up and down, noting she wore rather strange clothes herself. Definitely not like the typical dresses many of the women in the village wore.

"You're...like them aren't you? Different. From somewhere else." He assumed.

She eyed him for a moment before answering.

"Yeah, you could say that." Was all she said.

Kristin really wanted to ask him where they were. But from what Pete and Alan told her earlier, the old man had not given them a straight answer. But after seeing this old man who was obviously human, how could she not surmise that this was still Earth?

After all, as far as she knew, there was no other planet in their solar system similar to Earth nor other worlds with humans on them. Yet, seeing those upright humanoid apes was still an elusive enigma to her.

The two men started asking more questions about this place. More particularly, who runs it. It surprising to them to hear that apes seemed to run things around here.

He then mentioned something about a high council and when one of them inquired about humans being part of this high council, the old man chuckled as if they made a very funny joke.

Then he went on to explain how humans were nothing here then added with the exceptions of fairy tales.

It was a statement that came off as rather odd to the other three humans. Until the old man proceeded to show him one of these old, dated books that he says he uses as kindle for fire.

One in particular he keeps, stating because he liked to look at the pictures. He said this while handing it over to Alan and Pete.

Kristin joined them and got a peak at the book they were looking at. They only Alan flipped through only a couple pages before stopping on one in particular. It was a picture with a date that had all three of them reeling.

"The year 2505!?" Pete exclaimed.

"Holy shit." Kristin uttered.

"This is Earth. We can't go home, Alan." Pete blurted out to him.

Kristin slowly stepped back, a whole range of questions and thoughts were flying full speed through her mind. Earth...this really was Earth. And not just that, but apparently future Earth.

"This is just...insane." She said, though more to herself.

It felt like some twisted fucked up dream. Except for the fact she knew she was clearly awake. She was here and this really was happening. She felt the sudden urge to sit down, before she fell down.

Back in Central City...

"Another ship, Zaius, it's hard to believe." Said a gorilla decked out in a studded leather uniform.

"We can't afford not to believe it, Urko." the old orangutan known as Zaius replied.

"Who is this prefect, and do you know him?" Urko inquires.

"Galen does." Zaius stated.

"Yes, though I don't believe a word of it." Galen quipped.

"Who is this fool, Zaius?" Urko rudely piped in and asked.

"This is Galen, he may be my advisor." He said.

The orangutan's beady eyes drifted to the gorilla in charge.

"You will go, Urko. Find these men and capture them..."

"And destroy them." Urko adds, cutting him off midsentence.

"No, I want them brought back alive for questioning." Zaius firmly said.

"Questioning!? This is an infection Zaius! One doesn't question it; you wipe it out!" Urko yelled.

"And we will. After they have been brought back and questioned. They may have answers to things we need. Things that could be useful. Now, you will take a group and head to Chailo. If you ride with haste, you shall be there by morning." Zaius stated.

Urko clenched his jaw and narrowed his eyes. Then he harshly swiped up his helmet and quickly left the office.

Zaius and Galen watched him leave. Not a few moments after he did, the old orangutan turned his attention to the young chimp.

"You will go with him. Make sure those astronauts make it back here. I don't trust Urko." Zaius told him.

"But he won't listen to me, Sir." Galen protested.

"You go under my authority and report back to me. Besides, you'll geta chance to see your second cousin again." Zaius added.

Galen sighed, "To be honest, I never really liked him much."

"Still, I need you to go with them. And as I stated before, you will report back to me." The old orangutan said, with an air of authority in his voice.

He clearly wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Sadly, Galen could see this as well. Guess he was going on a road trip after all. And apparently with the chief of security. A gorilla with a very short fuse and nasty attitude.

'Can't wait to see how this little expedition goes. I can only hope after this little errand I get this position.' He sarcastically thought to himself before leaving the office.

Looks like everything is falling into place. If it isn't clear enough, this is following the storyline of Ep. 1, also titled 'Escape From Tomorrow'. This story will most likely run through each episode, only with the added twist of my OC Kristin added in.

They will all be crossing paths very soon.

Until Next Time ;)
