several of the regular maids in Nazarick were gathered around their usual cafeteria. It was a meeting called by Fith, she had also invited Prestonya as she was the head maid but understandably due to her duty of trying to cure Momonga, she had not come, leaving Fith in charge of the meeting as the maid who called it.
"Why did you ask all of us to meet here Fith?" Foth asked before biting into a pancake since this was the cafeteria many of the maids had gotten some food.
"Would you not eat, we have a very serious issue to discuss!" Fith said with agitation.
"wrrbr isuuurre?" Foth still had some of the pancake in her mouth when she spoke.
"Don't talk with your mouth full!"
"Fith we have no idea what this issue is and we never will if you do not tell us," Lumiere adjusted her glasses she thought that maybe this had something to do with Lord Momonga who of course all maids were concerned about but what could they do? They just helped Prestonya as best they could when it was their shift with the headmaid.
"It is quite simple, I think we all would want one at some point" Fith coughed a briefly said, "from Herohero"
"Wait, want what?" Foire was still standing because she was the next maid on duty to help Prestonya which would be soon.
"A ring!"
silence filled the room.
"I-I thought I was the only one," Cixious said while holding her hand over her chest in relief.
the other maids talked over one another but the general consensus was they did indeed want a ring just like some of the other NPCs got.
"Maybe if it was Yamaiko," Increment said quietly to herself. as did her fellow creations of Yamaiko, Lumiere and Decrement. Most of the regular maids were made by Herohero, Coup De grace, and Whitebrim. So while Increment would be more than happy to receive a gift from Herohero, it would make her happier if it was Yamaiko.
"But how do we get one?" one of the maids asked.
"It has to be possible, our head Maid Prestonya has one after all. And some of the pleiades!"
Foire crossed her fingers together and looked unsure, "Yes because Prestonya has an important role in helping Momonga. We have no special reason to need one."
"Indeed, and asking for one might make Lord Herohero unhappy."
collectively most of the maids all looked at the ground at the same time.
"Mwehe, fear not sisters, for that is exactly why we need one as well."
Fith smugly smiled "For you see because we are needed as Prestonya's assistants in this important Momonga issue we require a ring for easy movement throughout the tomb especially if Prestonya needs us to grab something."
This made the all the maids look happy and excited.
"If i may," Lumiere adjusted her glasses again, "it might be better if Master Herohero only gives us one ring then."
"O-only one?" Fith fell on the table, "but there are forty-one of us."
"But maybe sharing one is not all bad." All eyes fell on Cixious and recalling Herohero's interaction with all the guardians the maid had come to one simple conclusion, "Herohero care about all of us and our well being, if we show him we care to by sharing one ring, I think it would make him happy."
Fith perked up again and shook Cixious a little, "T-thats perfect. you take it from here?"
"Eh?" Cixious could see all attention was still on her. Even the maids made specifically by Yamaiko who were smiling at her.
"R-right, ideally he would give it to us on his own. So first we must make sure Lord Herohero sees us as necessary."
while the maids discussed, Head maid Prestonya was hiding by the entrance to the cafeteria. She was smiling a little as she could hear the conversation from here with her better hearing.
"Maybe I can help them out by talking to lord Herohero," Prestonya started to walk away and get back to her duties but she stopped briefly to say, "err, woof!"
Author Note: this is a bonus chapter, last week I had problems writing the chapter and worried I had writers block, but then I wrote this in thirty minutes and it gave me the motivation to finish the actual /
Bonus chapters will be short character moments that are made either because I needed something short to get the brain juice flowing or because I thought of something that would not fit into a full chapter. don't expect them often, they are just a nice bonus ;)
