Ch 3
"Nick Fury." Petra said in surprise as the two of them sat down. Her head was still reeling from the fact that the actual Fury was in the room.
Why has he been trying to get to me all this time if he has a new mission? Couldn't he call any of the other Avengers?
"I saw you at the funeral but I didn't think that would be a good time to exchange numbers." Fury said, returning Petra back to the present.
"Right, that would have been really inappropriate."
"It's what I just said. Anyway..."
Fury then placed a holo-projector on the table and a blue hologram showed a massive cyclone with a face that had two red glowing eyes.
Sentient cyclones? How much craziness is this mission?
"Witnesses have reported that many elemental monsters are wrecking havoc across-"
Then Fury was interrupted by Ned's snoring.
"Sorry, that's just my friend." Petra said nervously. Fury sighed before continuing.
"Many elemental monsters are destroying cities which could potentially lead to another-"
Then there was someone knocking at the door.
Petra rushed over and saw Mr. Harrington to her surprise.
"Uh, hey. I just wanted to see if everyone was okay after the whole water monster thing." Harrington said.
"Yeah, we're good." Petra said. "Ned's just napping back there."
"Good, cause I'm not really qualified to...anyway, goodnight."
After Harrington was gone, Petra rushed back but Fury just decided to explain it on the way as he frustratedly zipped up his bag.
"Another person touches that door and you and I are going to another funeral. Suit up."
