Knock Knock

Rafael answered the door to the ladies with Elena in his arms. Immediately as Rollins entered she swiped her god-daughter away for a cuddle.

' She'll be down in a minute, Just getting things ready.' Amanda stood swaying.

' So where are you off to little lady?' Rafael smiled and stroked Elena's cheek.

'Off to see Abuela first then uncle Fin and uncle Carisi.' Emma walked down the stairs.

' Hey guys, are we ready to go?' At there nod she kissed Rafael, took Elena from Rollins to give her a cuddle.

' You be good for daddy now okay. I love you beautiful girl' Handing her to her Papi, she grabbed her back and lead the way outside.

Emma had assumed that they would go straight to the spa, however they first went to Bryanie's apartment. Which, ironically was her old home. When they bought the house Rafael had offered the apartment to Bryanie so she didn't have to try and fine one. When they walked in she saw Bryanie had been busy - She'd painted the walls as a black and while checkerboard, hung can vases that she had painted. She also had a little nail station in the corner. She had a desk, 2 chairs, a pedicure bucket and a bright light. Bryanie pulled Emma across the room and motioned her to sit down. She got started on a manicure while Emma and Rollins chatted.

' How are you doin Em? Is Elena sleeping through yet?' Emma sighed.

'No not yet, If im totally honest Manda, i'm exhausted. Rafa bless him, he practically begged me to stop breastfeeding, to give myself a break and allow him to help. And in reality? I was relieved, don't get me wrong, i adored having that bond with Elena, but i was just so tired. And i felt so guilty that Rafael wasn't able to feed her at any point. He would never say it but he had longing in his eyes. It prevented him from being to have quality time with her because i always needed to step in to feed her. HE took over every single one of the nights feeds this week. How did you do it Manda? When you had Jesse?'

' Jesse was a really easy baby originally, It was difficult but Carisi would come over, help me clean and make sure i was taking care of myself. I didn't breastfeed so he was able to help almost from the beginning but when he wasn't there, or when she wouldn't sleep and it was just me and her in the early hours of the morning i would sit and wonder. '

' wonder what?'

' wonder if i was doing the right thing raising a baby on my own. You have, an amazing guy who loves both of you to the ends of the earth. Let him help you, let us help you, you don't have to do it all on your own anymore. He is there, we are here and we are your team.' By the end of Amanda's speech Emma had watery eyes. Blinking rapidly she whispered.

' I love you guys, you know that don't you?' Amanda nodded, but Bryanie was the one who made Emma laugh when she said.

' Of course you love us. we're fabulous.'

After Bryanie did their nails they then went to a local salon. In the entire time that Emma had lived in America she hadn't had her hair done, Her natural brown colour had grown out, it was now the length of the small of her back and the amount of split ends she has was horrendous. Rollins and Bryanie sat on the couch by the window, chatting and reading magazines which she was given a hair wash and head massage. once Emma sat down in the salon chair, The hairdresser asked her what she wanted and after taking a though she asked to be dyed blonde again and trimmed and shaped but mainly keep the length.

Finally, about 2pm they arrived at the spa hotel. Once they'd been given their robes they went straight for a spot of lunch. Laughing and joking with the girls was just what Emma needed. She felt good and she felt happy. She missed her baby girl so much but it made her realise that she needed to start preparing to go back to work. The next few hours were spent relaxing, they swam, they sat by the pool, they used the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and finally, they had a 2 hour full body massage. Emma practically felt like goo by the time she and the girls drove home. After saying goodbye at the front of their house Emma quietly let herself in. It wasn't late, but it was silent in the house. Making her way upstairs she stopped and smiled softly. There on the couch was Rafael. He was shirtless and Ela was laying on her stomach on top of him. Both were sound asleep. Rafael had a hand on her, keeping her safe and Emma thought they looks so adorable. Taking out her phone she snapped a photo and sat in the armchair.

About twenty minutes later Rafael gradually woke up. Sitting up carefully he shifted Elena into the crook of his arm and looked up. Noticing Emma sat across from him reading a book and he gasped slightly. She looked absolutely stunning. Her hair was blonde , her nails had a French tip and she had her killer watt smile on her face. She was practically glowing.

'Te ves hermosa mi amor. You look wonderful.' Emma got up and walked over to him, leaning down she kissed him deeply.

' thank you for today Rafa, I feel so much better. Did you have a nice time today?'

' We did, Mami had multiple cuddles with this little lady, she has invited us for dinner next week. Then Fin, Dom and i watched the football at Carrisi's. Fin fed Elena and then held her for the entire game! I never would have believed it if i hadn't see it. ' He passed Emma their daughter and stood up. ' She just needs a bath and a bottle before putting her down. Is that okay? i have a couple of emails i need to send and then i'll be right in.

' of course, say night night Papi'

' Buenas noches, mi nina, te amo.' Kissing her firsthead then Emmas he said.

'I'll see you in a while mi amor.'
