Chapter 79: Unbroken Bonds

Izuku was blushing bright red on one of the couches of the common room in mascot form. Why? Because earlier that day he went to the hair stylist that had a hair growing quirk. And a good chunk of the class were having a good natured laugh at a picture that was taken during the trip.

Due to his having Mirio's quirk they were making him a new costume and it needed his hair. The more hair the better. So it was better to go to that hair stylist.

However the reason why everyone laughing.

Well due to his naturally curly hair being made very long… it looked ridiculous. As for how they got the picture… it was because Inko went with him and share the pic to others including Ochaco and Katsuki.

"It looked like someone glued a sheep to you head!" laughed Kaminari.

It was indeed true, his hair was a giant puff ball in the picture.

"Oh come on that's enough teasing." Said Mina.

It should be pointed out didn't join in on the tease due to also having curly hair.

"Come on, she's right." Said Tsuyu, "Even If the massive afro is cute."

'Izuku sighed.

As the teasing ended Izuku realized it might be the right time to ask them.

"Tsu… Tenya, Shoto… can we talk in private?" asked Izuku opening telepathy to the three.

"Sure…" thought Tsuyu.

"Of course." thought Tenya.

Shoto just nodded.

They decided to leave the dorm after Izuku turned to his human form.

Ochaco, Katsuki and Toru noticed the four leave and looked at each other.

They decided to go to Toru's room to talk.

"Do you really think they'll do it?" asked Toru.

"I don't know for Tenya and Tsu…" said Ochaco, "I mean Tenya's so excited for Tensei to join the bond…"

They were expecting a date where Tensei would want to bond any day now as he narrowed it down to just one crazy support technician who still wouldn't listen to him.

"Maybe Icy Hot might quit." Said Katsuki.

"You really think that?" asked Toru.

"Who knows." Said Katsuki with a shrug.

Elsewhere on the school grounds they found a good place to talk.

"What did you want to talk about?" asked Tsuyu.

"I realized something about Eri's quirk… I think I can finally use it to break the bond." Said Izuku.

"really? Have to told Mirio?" asked Tsuyu.

"I have." Said Izuku, "But he already declined."

"Really?" asked Tenya.

(Flashback)

"You think you can break the bond." Said Mirio.

"Yeah… and I wanted to see if you wanted to go back. Since it happened the same day as the bond forming it would be easy." Said Izuku.

"I kind of want to see what's it's like to be a magical girl for a while longer!" said Mirio.

"Really?" asked Izuku surprised at the answer.

"Yeah…" said Mirio who seemed to be hiding something.

And it was clear that Izuku picked up that he was hiding something.

Mirio sighed and realized maybe he should tell Izuku.

"I've only told my dad, Tamaki and Sir this but… ever since I was a kid… but I had an irrational fear that something would go wrong with my quirk and I would suffocate." Said Mirio.

Izuku eye widened at this.

"Even if I have better control and I know it won't happen I still get that fear sometimes." Said Mirio, "And I can breathe somehow in magical girl form.:

"No I get it." Said Izuku.

Mirio nodded.

"How am I able to breathe?" asked Mirio.

"I have no idea." Said Izuku.

(End of Flashback)

All Izuku told them that Mirio had a reason that she should tell them about if he ever wanted to…

"That is quite understandable that Mirio had his own reason." Said Tenya.

"Wait… why are you telling us together?" asked Tsuyu.

That was when it hit them… the reason why Izuku was telling them like this.

"I want to extend the offer to you guys as well." Said Izuku.

Shoto became very quiet at this one.

"Why us three?" asked Tenya.

"Well… you're the only ones I think would want to." Said Izuku, "Or are able to…"

"Really?" asked Tsuyu.

"Kacchan would say no, we've been bonded for so long that she would outright refuse." Said Izuku, "And also the plan would turn her into a four year… so I don't think she would that at all…"

"Yeah…" said Tsuyu.

"Mom… is mom… and there's so many reason for not breaking the bond with her." Said Izuku.

Tsuyu and Tenya nodded at that even if there wasn't a physical reason like with Katsuki due to her not aging.

"I don't want to break the bond with Ochaco for obvious reasons." Said Izuku, "But we did talk about it and we both agreed that there was only one way we'd break the bond…"

(Flashback)

"You don't want to break the bond with me?" asked Ochaco.

"Of course not!" said Izuku.

Ochaco nodded .

"I don't want that either." Said Ochaco rivaled that Izuku was only talking to her about to get her thoughts. "Unless we had a really bad break up…"

"Yeah…" said Izuku, "And I don't want to break up with you at all!"

Ochaco hugged when he said that.

"I don't either!" said Ochaco.

Reminder this conversation happened in the common room.

"Get a room you two!" called out Jiro.

The two sweat dropped.

(End of Flashback)

"It's if you had a really bad break up and now hated each other, isn't it?" asked Tsuyu.

"Yeah." Said Izuku.

"Though if you did have that kind of break up I can see you figuring out how to break the bond without using Eri's quirk." Said Tsuyu.

"Oh… that would make sense." Said Izuku.

Izuku sighed getting back on track.

"I don't need to explain why about Toru." Said Izuku.

Tsuyu and Tenya nodded, after all Toru wants to be a Magical Girl… plus her costume… she needed that magical girl costume.

"Melissa is Quirkless." Said Izuku.

"It would make sense she would want to remain a magical girl." Said Tenya.

"All Might…" said Izuku, "Well similar to Kacchan I would rewind a long time ago…"

IT would be cruel to rewind All Might to just before bonding with Izuku, the combination of healing Toshinori's injury and de-aging her to around 25 years old… yeah that was not something that should be done…

"Plus after I realized that, he got excited about awakening Nana's quirk…" said Izuku, "So that's another reason I don't want to do that."

Tenya sighed when Izuku said that… as if she knew that he was talking about… because she knew all too well.

"As for Eri… I am never going to break the bond with her because she needs it." Said Izuku.

Plus the whole thing about her bonding would be the quirk used to remove the bond would create a paradox and he was not doing anything with that.

Not touching that.

"So…" said Tsuyu.

"It's up to you… I know you're stuck with me… but you don't have to be anymore." Said Izuku.

"You think we're stuck with you?" asked Tsuyu.

"Well you are." Said Izuku, "You don't have a reason to stay like everyone else… and…"

That was when Tsuyu smacked Izuku with a tongue.

"Tsu!" cried Izuku.

"Sorry it's just the you're talking like that about yourself." Said Tsuyu, "I wasn't sure about this at first but the more I got to know you I realized that I enjoy it."

"Really?" asked Izuku.

Tsuyu nodded.

"I don't want to break bond either." Said Tenya.

Izuku looked at Tenya.

"Though my reasoning is quite different." Said Tenya, "It's to remind me never to make the same mistake again."

Izuku's eyes widened.

"What led up to our bonding is something I don't want to go through again." Said Tenya.

"Tenya…" said Izuku.

And then Tenya started to blush knowing she had to admit her other reason.

"Also… I've been looking forward to Tensei joining the nightly telepathic conversation." She admit.

"Should have known." Sighed Tsuyu.

Izuku laughed then he looked at Shoto.

Shoto was shaking and almost seemed to be on the verge of years.

"Please… no…" she cried out.

"Shoto…" said Izuku.

"I don't know who I am…" said Shoto, "But I do know I don't want to go back to how I was before…"

Izuku walked over to Shoto.

"I don't want to alone… and I don't want be angry…" said Shoto., "Please don't…"

"Shoto… I wasn't going to break it unless you wanted me too." Said Izuku, "I didn't know you felt this way…"

Izuku then hugged Shoto.

"I'm, sorry I didn't tell you…" whispered.

"It's okay… it's okay…" reassured Izuku.

Tsuyu and Tenya both joined the hug.

Once things had calmed down, they decided to have a large group chat to explain to the others what happened, including Eri even if she didn't know about the whole bond breaking thing.

"I never thought you would find a way to break the bond." thought Shoto.

"I didn't either." Thought Izuku.

"Why would they leave?" asked Eri.

"I wasn't sure I they wanted to stay in the bond, so I offered." Said Izuku.

"It was just the four of us Izuku assumed we would want to leave." thought Tsuyu.

"Why would he think you would leave?" asked Eri.

"Well it was because I just joined and I joined because I got hit his by that bullet." Explained Mirio.

They could feel Eri's distress.

"Sorry for bringing that up." apologized Mirio.

They all managed their best to make Eri feel better.

"The three of us joined in other bad ways." Explained Tsuyu, "Me and Tenya were placed in danger and it was the only way to get out of it."

"And for me it an accident like you." Explained Shoto.

"Shoto was in a really bad place and I wanted to help him." Explained Izuku.

"It often felt like no one cared about me." Explained Shoto, "And I was very angry at my father for various reasons. I still am but it's no longer my focus."

"You're like me." Thought Eri.

"I guess I am." Thought Shoto .

Shoto felt the feeling of love from somewhat.

"You learned to that!" thought Izuku.

"I did!" thought Eri.

"Eri… thank you so much." Thought Shoto.

They felt the happiness come Eri.

It clear that Shoto became much closer to everyone in the bond after that… even if ironically it came from a time Izuku wanted to "free" her from the bond.

Still they now knew that no one wanted out, but if Izuku ever met someone who wanted out after an accidental or emergency bond he could do it…

But who knew if he ever would use that ability…

Next Time: Tensei has finally been able to get the support technician to understand "No!" and is allowed to visit to bond with Izuku! What will happen? Find out next time!

A/N: I always intended for Mirio to stay on board but I do admit the idea for how only just hit me, because that drawback is terrifying, it makes sense that he can't breathe so it would make sense for him to have a somewhat irrational fear that his quirk might cause him to suffocate.
