Chapter 47: The Ancient One Spirit Annabelle
In the unknown realm
The former Elite Seven, the shipwright Fishman Tom, the Rakshasa Demon leader Gozuki, and the Oarburgh Clan were approached by an ancient spirit, who is responsible for bringing the deceased to an unknown realm
"Who the hell are you?" Gozuki demanded like he wanted to strike any moment.
The spirit began to take the shape of a woman that resembled Anna, though, her hairstyle was similar to Lucy's. "I'm the ancestor of the Heartfilla Family and Descendant of the Ancient Ones. You can call me, Annabelle."
Merraid had a lustful look on her face. "Wow, such a beautiful woman."
Gilbeard shared the same reaction. "Such a beauty...that chest is quite sexy...such bosom that suits her attire."
Bonk Bonk
Babara gave the two lesbian women a good hit on the head leaving red lumps. "Geez, you girls haven't changed as much as I thought."
Daniel chuckled quietly seeing how spirited his former crush was. "Babara...you still have it." Babara was slightly surprised upon seeing her former comrade. "Daniel, I didn't see you here." The butler just chuckled. "Really, that doesn't sound like you." The old assassin woman turned her head away.
Ignoring the womanizing from the two former Oarburgh Clan members, Gozuki continued his questioning. "Look miss, I would like to know what you're trying to tell us."
The woman called Annabelle put her hand out and a small portal opened revealing an ancient city with people wearing unusual outfits. "What are we seeing?"
"You see my people, we lived in a time of peace," Annabelle replied. "We depend on magic as well, though, there was very little magic at the time."
The scene in the portal changed showing that Annabelle was a grown woman as she is in the spirit. "I decided to change that, by traveling the world. There I met other Ancient Ones. Simply put, other clans."
"The first one was the Wild Clan that lived in a tree houses. Their village as known as Tree Top Village." A small portal showed natives looking like wild humans wearing native-like outfits. Their homes were in large trees. "A Clan that lived deep in the deep forests, they also used magic but barely had any food. They practically stole other villages' food and hurt people in the process. Not only that, nearby villages that had soldiers and armies disliked them and saw them as wild savages."
"If that's the case then how come this clan wasn't confronted by soldiers and armies for that matter?" Gozuki asked.
"Unlike the soldiers, the Wild Clan was familiar with nature, how to survive different types of land knowing how to survive from wild creatures that lurked in the forests. The soldiers and other armies tried to make it to their village only to be end up dead by getting lost or eaten alive by the fierce creatures that lurked below the surface."
Green pushed his glasses back. "I guess that would explain the tree houses, right?" Annabella nodded. "Correct, though, the natives did know how to deal with the wild beasts if they encountered while looking for herbs or fruit that was outside the forest."
Babara put her hand to her chin. "Yes, fruit and vegetables is one of the things they require sunlight and seeing the number of trees surrounding the area would prove little difficult grow."
Annabelle looked at the portal. "I confronted the armies and their leaders of the town that was nearby and told them that I would talk to the leader of the Wild Clan. I admit it took a while for me to convince the leader of the town to give me a chance but then they decided to give me a chance." The small portal revealed a light brown tanned native man with long red hair in a ponytail and had muscular body. "The leader you see, his name is Leonardo."
Gilberda had a question. "How did you get the Tree Top Village without encountering any wild beasts or getting lost?"
Annabelle had an awkward look on her face. "I did get lost...though, I figured out the village would have to be near a river, rather, have a river that would flow through the deep forest. My guess was confirmed but what stood out the most was fresh foot prints, I used special glass wear that would sense their scent within the air which lead me the way to their village."
Tom put his hand under his chin. "So, she used those glasses to sense their scene from their footprints, the scent must've been faint but when she followed their scent trail, that scent became stronger and stronger. Most impressive."
"Anyway, I manage to talk with the leader Leonardo, he told me that his people has no grudges against them, he was just trying to get his people food. The animals in the forest that were considered meat were nearly due to the hunting that the townspeople were doing." Annabelle declared. "I realized that too when I was traveling through the hills and small wood areas. I asked them about growing vegetables and fruit, if they did that, they would sell them to markets which would help the town's market places in return they could shop themselves and get the food they needed to."
"How did the leader to react to your suggestion?" Pony asked.
"He was a little skeptical about it, though, I told him if he didn't cooperation that the townspeople would call out more soldiers to attack his village which could lead to all out war." Annabelle had a serious look on her face. "I also told him that if he wants to make sure that a bloody war doesn't occur, he needs to consider my option not just for himself but for the safety of his people." She had a small smile on her face. "After a few weeks I convinced some farmers that help find a good field or big land to grow the fruits and vegetables which was a success. In the townspeople repaid me by helping the Wild Clan by offering them some good including equipment to help keep food preserved."
"That's quite a story," Cornelia giggled.
The small portal's scenery changed and an underground city with unusual tech that was powered. The people were wearing advanced outfits. There a few citizens that had robotic-like limbs and facial features too. "I traveled to the ancient underground city, they were known as Tech. I found out they used equipment and machines to power up their buildings. Their equipment was used to make their lives better while some were used as weapons."
Babara was quite impressed. "Impressive technology, this kind of machinery and outfits is more advanced than ours."
"I learned from their leader King Mecha that their technology was progressing so quickly, in other words their tech was becoming less and less useful. If that kept up then their technology wouldn't be able to help their city's power...no power...no way to power up their city."
"Sounds like their equipment was becoming old and was on the verge of dying." Najasho said. "If they didn't do something, they'd be nothing but small fries not to each other but other races that would try to take their advanced equipment."
Tom had to admit that the former human assassin had a valued point. "Correct, like using other people's weapons or items for their own purposes."
"So, how did you help the Tech Clan?" Guy asked.
Annabelle put her left hand out and lacrima appeared in her palm. "I decided to share the Lacrimas that were being created. Using their technology to create special ones that would power up their equipment. In other words, we created Lacrimas that had the power up their sites which would last for so many years."
Daniel put his hand under his chin with interest. "Intriguing, I presume these lacrimas weren't just for powering up their city, right?"
"Correct, they used their newly lacrimas to power up their vehicles that to help them carry heavy equipment which was helpful considering that their vehicles were previously performing poorly." Annabelle replied.
Gozuki had a pretty good idea what the spirit woman meant by that. "You mean that their vehicles were moving slower due their technology losing it's power, right?"
Annabelle nodded her head. "
Tom laughed. "Well, sounds like these Ancient Ones know their stuff! I created a Sea Train, so, I can tell how much this amazes me."
"Sea Train?" The Oarburgh Clan and Elite Seven minus Najasho thought in question.
"After my success, the Tech formed an alliance with our nations as well as with the Wild Clan." Annabelle continued. "Then, there was a third clan..."
The small portal changed and showed a cloud-like city on top of a giant mountain.
"Holy crap, are we in the sky or something?" Cornelia exclaimed waving her legs comically.
"No, it's above a high mountain that was able to reach the high part of the sky." Annabelle replied. "Though, it was a little hard for normal people to get used to the higher areas to breath. However, some were able to adapt to the high air quickly."
Cassandra was distracted by something else. "There...those people..." She pointed at countless humans with white wings on their backs. "Are those angels?" She mostly likely distracted the female angel-like people wearing short skirts, tank tops, and sandals. "Such beautiful angel women..."
"They are known as the Archangels. A clan of ancient wing-like people that lived about 200 feet in a high mountain as Angel Sky City. Their city relied on created tools and equipment to help their power supply. They used their equipment to create unusual materials and weapons too."
"Angels living in the high mountains, that's insane," Guy commented. "Though, the females are hot."
Bonk
Cornelia elbowed her perverted team member in the stomach causing him to bend over in pain while holding his stomach. "Pervert..."
Gilberda had a question. "What kind of weapons did these angels create?" She began to remember that the navigator used a shell to release a shockwave and the strange clouds she summoned using her rod.
"The weapons were swords and mystic staffs to use manipulate lightning, fire, water, and air." Annabelle replied. "One thing that these Archangels were also formidable with their ability to fly and they were very fast. Their wings are strong to create strong gusts of wind meaning their wings would be able to manipulate air in various ways."
Gin was intrigued. "These angels might've been worthy allies or opponents if we met them."
Tsukushi thought the same thing. "I wonder how fast they could out fly my Shingu?"
Cassandra had other thoughts. "I think they would make good additions to the Oarburgh Clan."
Lois jumped excitedly. "Yeah, those female angels could be great lovers too!"
Meela was so smitten upon hearing her twin sister's suggestion. "Oh yes, female angels as lovers would be sweet!"
Bonk Bonk
"Enough you three!" Babara retorted leaving three red lumps on the three girls' heads.
Tom was intrigued by the city's technology. "Hmm, kind of reminds me of Skypiea. Though they don't use dials, still, their equipment is far unique not to mention their weapons."
"Yet, despite their unique stamina and their ability to breathe in the higher skies plus their equipment that used for weapons and power supply. They were unable to grow the kind plants you see on earth's dirt." Annabelle continued. "So, I managed to convince the Tech Clan to create a teleport machine that can bring soil or at least a large amount of earth's ground to bring the sky. Soon, plants were brought to Sky City. The kind of plants to grow vegetables, plants that have herbs for medicine, and forests. I met the leader of that who's name is Boreas." The portal showed a tall white beard man wielding a golden staff and he was tall.
"Holy crap, that old geezer is huge," Guy exclaimed in awe.
"If you're talking about his height than I have to agree," Najasho commented despite his cool calm behavior.
Natala was more interested at the history of the Archangels. "I have to admit this is quite the history that'll be for the books."
"That's for sure," Pony added.
Taeko had admit, this history of the Ancient Ones was more intriguing.
"There is one more clan that was found." The small portal changed and showed a massive island. In the center was a massive mountain that surrounded a middle section.
"That mountain surrounded the middle section looks like a fortress," Babara speculated.
"Yes, the clan was a race of demon species known as the Devil Imps." The small portal's scenery changed into a village that small demon-like creatures. Each of them came in different shapes and sizes. Some had pointy ears resembling elves. All had bat-like wings, and some resembled eagles and falcons with humanoid-like arms human-like hands with sharp claws, bird-like wings, and bird-like feet with sharp talons. There female ones that wore tank tops with shorts or skirts.
"Strange and unusual creatures," Gin said a little uneasy.
"They may look a little scary, though, some of the females are quite hot," Merraid said in a flirty yet seductive tone.
Gilberda placed her finger on her tongue in a flirtiest matter. "Yeah, such sexy and beautiful creatures."
"Focus you brats!" Babara barked comically making the two lesbian girls shake with sweat on their foreheads. "Yes...ma'am..."
"Scary as ever," Guy, Najasho, and Gin sweat dropped with deadpan looks.
"Yeah, don't make our dear granny angry," Meela and Loris whimpered with a comical look and crocodile tears.
"Wow, she's a tough woman!" Tom burst out laughing like it was no big deal. "
"Gee, do you laugh at everything?" Cornelia muttered.
"Anyway, the Devil Imps lived on an island, which was known as Devil Island," Annabelle continued despite the comedy routine. "They weren't fond of humans due to previous encounters in the past."
"Sounds like their appearances did cause some fear among humans," Guy commented.
Tom let out a small grunt. "I wouldn't blame them, even my kind faced prejudice from humans even before my time. Regardless, there were some humans that showed respect toward Fishman and merfolk." He smiled as images of his two students popped in his mind.
"Sorry that you had to face something like that," Taeko apologized. Tom turned to face the former Oarburgh Clan swordsman seemingly surprised. "Wow, didn't expect apology from a stranger." Then a huge friendly grin took shape on his face. "I appreciate your kindness, so, thank you." The other girl nodded.
Green had a question. "If Devil Imps are so suspicious of humans, then, how did you win their earn?"
Annabelle looked at the portal. "First off, they barely had food to eat and medicine for their sick ones. Their medical supplies were lacking due to being nonsocial with the outside world and the hard ground wasn't suited for growing plants nor trees. On top of that, there outside the village is a poor sickly forest that barely had any plant life."
"Sounds like their race was about to kick the bucket," Guy commented as he felt a elbow hit him in the chest.
"Not funny..." Cornelia huffed.
"However, I managed to get contact with Tech who offered to help clean the surrounding forests and restore plant life around the island. Big areas were created for big forests. Three small areas were made for gardens that would grow plants for healing herbs, fruit, and vegetables." Annabelle explained. "Also, I was able to deliver medicine and food to the Devil Imps using big ships. In the end, I created a bond and friendship with Devil Imps including their queen."
The small portal showed the queen, who was a small demon with silver fur and she was the size of the twelve year old child. "Her name was Yuzuha. As you know she and her people had a distrust toward humans. However, once I helped improve her island including curing her sister Nezuko, she decided to give Magnolia's queen a chance and things went smoothly, therefore a friendship was formed with the Devil Imps with other races."
"In time, we discovered the gateways and their locations that would lead to other worlds. I decided to form an exploration Team. The ones that accompanied were Leon, King Mecha's daughter Lydia, Nezuko, and Boreas' grandson Marcus. Together we traveled to the three worlds.
The former assassin teams gasped in shock.
Babara had one question. "Okay, how did you activate these gateways, besides using magic?" Annabelle chuckled a little. "We used lost magic, fortunately, the clans had lost magic of their own. Their magic was not just any kind of Lost Magic it was the kind that was past down to their bloodline from generation to generation. That we created certain items to find these worlds."
"Intriguing," Tom thought.
"We traveled to these worlds, we also found out that there were our ancestors that traveled through the gateways and couldn't return to our world. We came across found old journals that had every detail."
"Yes, I heard that Zeref mentioned that these ancient guys went to these worlds and died due to lack of magic power," Gozuki mentioned.
"That's correct, we traveled to these worlds seeing different kinds of places, people, creatures, tech, and weaponry that people had and used for their daily lives." Annabelle continued. "The technology they had was clearly equal to ours, at least, that's how I saw it."
Babara had a concern look on Annabelle's exploration. "As fantasying as this is, how were you able to draw unwanted attention, I mean did you make enemies in these three worlds?"
Annabelle had a frown on her face. "Yes, we made some enemies that were hurting others, we manage to prevent unnecessary deaths and conflicts. We fought against other monsters that threatened us or innocent creatures. I lost count of the enemies we fought, though, we made some friends in these worlds." She had a warm smile on her face. "Yet, my time with those people and my friends was memorable. We shared so many amazing adventures and moments together that it felt like that happened just yesterday."
"Sounds like you guys had quite the adventure!" Tom laughed as tears fell from his eyes.
"He's a noisy one," Cassandra muttered covering her ears.
"True, but, he's a lively one," Green chuckled at the Fishman's antic.
"Once we returned to the Earthland, we went our separate ways, though, we kept in touch with each other. I met my future husband and we married." Annabelle lowered her head then clenched her hands. "Some years later...the time our war against the dragons arrived. Dragons kept pouring their wrath on our people for centuries to come. So much destruction has befallen and countless deaths. We gathered our sources and allies to fight in the war.
"Let me guess, the dragons proved to be too much for you and your friends to handle?" Babara presumed to see the spirit woman's reaction confirming her question.
"Yes, the war became so intense that Wild Ones, Devil Imps, and other allies lost the fight in almost seven weeks. I lost my friends and my family. For whatever reason, I was able to survive, though, very few of my people and my allies survived." She clenched her fists tighter than before. "I lost my husband in the war, I was carrying a baby back then. Though, I was able to deliver the baby successfully, then one day, the hospital I gave birth at was attacked by the dragons. I wasn't going to let my baby die, so, I had my faithful servants keep an eye on her while I gave them time to escape. I managed give them the time they needed but...I lost my life."
The Elite Seven and Oarburgh Clan felt sorry for the woman.
Daniel had a question of his own. "If you had died, then how are you here?"
Annabelle looked at her hand smiling sadly. "I'm not sure, but, if I have to guess, then, my spirit was probably trapped in the world traveling space due to my connections with them. Then again, I realized I wasn't trapped, perhaps a certain goal was to see if anyone traveled in these worlds would also change to make a new era in those three worlds."
Tom approached the human woman. "Yes, and I have a feeling that your descendants will bring that peace along with their friends. I got to meet a former student of mine and I got to see his friends. From what I can tell, my old student Franky and his friends have made a positive impact on those around him."
"Man sounds like you and your friends' lives were just as tough," Natala spoke.
"Yes, you experienced the rough and had good times," Green added. "You saw corruption and cruelty. Though, you saw good people that wanted what was best for their people."
"Indeed, seeing such places and exploring the world and seeing what it has to offer is what makes adventures so...adventurous," Cornelia said trying to find a correct way to end her sentence.
Merraid had to agree which was surprising to her. "Yes, there were a lot of places to explore and beautiful females to meet."
Cassandra giggled which was unusual for her character. "Quite so and don't forget those beautiful mermaids too."
"Yes, amazing places to visit, sister!" Loris beamed excitedly.
"Yay, such wonderful and beautiful places to see!" Sheela cheered.
Babara chuckled. "Chelsea, you must've explored the world of pirates. That would explain the Fishman I met and you must've had quite the adventure sailing the seas." She had to admit she wish was there to see her grow.
Daniel saw his former crush chuckle once more. "Babara...seeing you smile puts a smile on me."
Gozuki could tell that his children were growing. "Perhaps this is what Akame began to see in the outside world. Things that the kids including myself were blinded to see with our own eyes." He couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt and regret like he did when he was dying at Akame's hands. "Is that why you brought us here, to let us see an example of the outside world and what we probably missed."
Annabelle wiped her tears and smiled sweetly at them. "You can say that and I enjoyed explaining my history and that those you left behind are still fighting for a better future for the young ones. That being said, I was able to look into those memories of those that pass through the gateways. I came to realize that those that traveled to the world of pirates and the empire were the next generation of wizards and they helped those worlds with their faith and beliefs."
Najasho, Cornelia, Taeko, Poney, Green, Natala, and Gozuki began to recall their encounter with Akame's new friends and what they said to them.
"Listen up, no matter what you think of Akame, she's still my friend. I don't care about her past what matters to me is who she is now."
"Not to sound like my idiot captain, who Akame is now is more important than who she was in the past."
"I don't much about Akame's past, though, I can tell she shouldered a lot of heartache, and the fact that you are all dead must mean she took your losses heavily. However, she must've gone through tough times and it was hard for her to move on. In the end, she was able to keep smiling and makeup with her sister."
"Akame's past is a lot like mine and the friends I made were lost and there were people that betrayed me. I felt so alone and wanted to die, but in the end, I made a lot of new friends who would stay by my side. Akame's defecting from the empire reminds me of an old friend of mine."
"Akame is a unique girl and I can tell her past isn't something to brag about. However, who she is now is more important than who she was."
"Akame is a cute girl, but an even greater friend. Her cooking skills are probably equal to mine."
"Akame is a super girl no matter what she did. No doubt in my mind that she thought of you guys once in and while.
"Despite what you guys thought of the empire and Akame was doing, she still hoped you guys would leave the empire even if you didn't want to fight against it. Yet, she still wanted to have you guys leave the empire not to fight it but to be sure that you guys were safe until the empire was peaceful!"
Taeko smiled and remembered Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper. "Chelsea...I can see your new friends have a stronger faith in each other..."
Annabelle looked at the group with a sweet smile. "I can tell that your hardships brought you to your deaths. So, I decided to show you what you guys could've accomplished if you had faith in others. I know what your friends wanted to accomplish might've seemed in impossible but as long as you don't give up, there is nothing you can't do."
Tom laughed proudly. "Took the words right out of my mouth, I respect those that don't give up on their dreams or goals."
Gozuki chuckled again. "Annabelle...I would like to speak with you alone."
Babara was thinking the same thing. "I would like to speak with you too."
Annabelle the ancestor of Anna and Lucy Heartfilla explains her history of the other Ancient Ones clans and their fate. Gozuki and his children realize what world they missed seeing with their own eyes. However, why Gozuki and Babara want to talk Annabelle about, that'll come in due time.
End of chapter.
