Classes for the day were canceled due to the death of Professor Quirrell. The news had spread like wildfire, leaving students buzzing with a mix of shock, curiosity, and excitement. In the Gryffindor common room, Fred and George Weasley, the school's renowned pranksters, huddled together, deep in discussion.
Fred leaned in, his voice low but animated. "Alright, George, we've got to figure out who pulled off that prank this morning. It was legendary!"
George nodded, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "Absolutely. The way Quirrell's turban unraveled and revealed You-know-who—pure genius. But who could've done it?"
Fred rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I've been thinking. We overheard someone mention 'Marauders' the other day. Sounded like it was related to pranking. Do you think there's a connection?"
George's eyes widened. "Marauders? I remember hearing that name from one of the professors. They were supposed to be a legendary group of pranksters. Didn't Flitwick mention them once when he caught us trying to enchant the suits of armor to sing?"
Fred snapped his fingers. "Right! So if someone here is using that name, they must be serious about their pranks. And if we think about who could be behind something this big, Harry, Tonks, Lana, Zatanna, and maybe even Neville come to mind. They've got the guts and the skills."
George raised an eyebrow. "You think so? I mean, we've known Tonks for the past three years, and she's definitely a prankster. As for Harry, Lana, Zatanna, and Neville, we haven't known them long, but they do seem to have a knack for finding trouble. But that's just a hunch, right?"
Fred laughed. "Anyone wanting to befriend Ron with the way he eats must be a trouble seeker."
George grinned. "True, very true. But seriously, if it's them, then we've got some serious competition. Maybe we should see if we can learn a thing or two from them."
Fred laughed. "Or better yet, join forces. Imagine what we could do together! I mean, if these guys are trained by the legendary Marauders, think of all the things they could teach us. We'd be unstoppable!"
George's eyes lit up with excitement. "You're onto something there, Fred. Marauders were the stuff of legends. If these new pranksters have learned from them, there's no telling what kind of mischief we could get into together."
Fred nodded eagerly. "Exactly! We've already got the skills, but with their knowledge and experience, we could take our pranks to a whole new level. Hogwarts won't know what hit it!"
George grinned. "And imagine the look on everyone's faces when they see us working together. We'd be the ultimate prankster dream team!"
Fred chuckled. "Oh, I can already picture it. The 'Weasley Twins' and the 'New Marauders'—unstoppable forces of chaos and hilarity!"
Just then, Ron arrived in the common room, looking a bit bewildered by the atmosphere. Fred and George exchanged a knowing glance before subtly gesturing for Ron to join them on the couch.
"Hey, Ron," George greeted casually. "How's it going?"
Fred leaned in, his tone conspiratorial. "Listen, Ron, we've been hearing some interesting things about your new friends."
Ron raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"
George glanced around to make sure no one was listening in before continuing. "We've heard some rumors about Harry, Neville, Lana, and Zatanna. They seem to be quite the troublemakers, if you catch my drift."
Ron scratched his head, trying to recall. "Hmm, well, Harry's always up to something, and Lana and Zatanna do seem to attract chaos wherever they go. Neville's a bit quieter, but he's got his moments too."
Fred nodded thoughtfully. "Interesting. Say, Ron, what do Harry's parents do for a living? You know, the ones Harry mentioned a while back."
Ron furrowed his brow, trying to recall. "Um, I think they're in business or something. I'm not sure exactly what they do."
Fred leaned in, his interest piqued. "Really? What kind of business?"
Ron scratched his head, searching his memory. "Well, Harry mentioned something about these cool Communication Bracelets they make. They're supposed to be really popular."
The twins exchanged a glance, their curiosity growing. "Communication Bracelets, huh? Sounds intriguing," George remarked.
Fred nodded, a spark of excitement in his eyes. "Thanks, Ron. That's all we needed to know."
As Ron headed off, Fred and George exchanged excited whispers. It seemed they were getting closer to uncovering the truth about the "New Marauders," and the mention of Harry's parents' business only added to their intrigue. With each piece of the puzzle falling into place, the prospect of teaming up with the legendary pranksters filled them with anticipation. Hogwarts was in for some unforgettable pranks.
Just as Ron was about to disappear around the corner, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, a look of realization crossing his face. He turned back to Fred and George with a grin.
"Oh, wait! I remember now," Ron exclaimed. "The name of the company is Marauders Inc. Harry mentioned it yesterday."
Fred and George's eyes widened in surprise. "Marauders' Inc.? That's it!" Fred exclaimed, excitement bubbling up within him.
George slapped his brother on the back. "Nice one, Ron! Thanks for remembering."
Ron shrugged modestly. "No problem. Just glad I could help."
As Ron continued on his way, Fred and George exchanged a triumphant glance. It seemed they had finally cracked the case of the "New Marauders." With the name of Harry's parents' company revealed, they were one step closer to unraveling the mystery. Excitement surged through them as they imagined the possibilities of teaming up with the legendary pranksters. Hogwarts was in for an unforgettable era of mischief and mayhem.

At the Greengrass Estate, Lily, James, and Sirius arrived with a sense of purpose. They had been informed by Harry of the events that transpired at Hogwarts earlier that morning, and they knew they needed to make new allies to face the challenges ahead.
As they approached the grand entrance, Lily straightened her posture, her determination shining in her eyes. James and Sirius exchanged a glance, silently reaffirming their commitment to the cause.
As the door swung open, the imposing figure of Lord Greengrass greeted the trio, accompanied by his wife, Soleil. Lord Greengrass's expression was unreadable, but there was a hint of curiosity in his eyes as he regarded Lily, James, and Sirius.
"Soleil, my dear," Lord Greengrass addressed his wife, "please escort our guests to the parlor. We have important matters to discuss."
Soleil nodded, her demeanor composed as she gestured for Lily, James, and Sirius to follow her.
As they entered the parlor, Lily, James, and Sirius were greeted by the presence of Madam Amelia Bones, along with her brother Edgar and his wife Elizabeth, who were Susan's parents. The Abbotts, Giffard and Damara, were also present, along with the Davis family and Muriel Prewett.
The atmosphere in the room was indeed tense, with a palpable sense of urgency hanging in the air. Lily stepped forward, her expression serious but determined.
"Thank you all for coming," she began, her voice steady and commanding. "As you're aware, Hogwarts is facing a threat unlike any we've seen before. Dark forces are at work, and our children's safety is at stake."
She glanced around the room, meeting each person's gaze with unwavering resolve.
"We cannot afford to underestimate this threat," Lily continued. "But I believe that together, united in purpose, we can overcome it. Each family represented here brings unique strengths and resources to the table, and it is through our combined efforts that we will prevail."
She paused, allowing her words to sink in before pressing on.
"Our children are counting on us to protect them, to ensure that they have a future free from fear and tyranny," Lily reiterated, her voice carrying the weight of their collective responsibility. "Let us not fail them. Let us stand together, shoulder to shoulder, and face this darkness head-on."
There was a solemn nodding of heads as each person in the room recognized the gravity of the situation and their commitment to the cause.
"In the interest of our unity and trust," Lily continued, "I am willing to reveal a secret that may aid us in our fight against this darkness. However, I ask that each of you swear upon your magic not to reveal this secret to anyone outside of this room."
She held their gaze, her eyes reflecting both determination and vulnerability. Lily knew that revealing this secret was a risk, but she also knew that their unity was paramount in the face of the looming threat.
"Do we have your oath?" she asked, her voice unwavering.
Muriel Prewett, with her decades of experience and unwavering commitment to the wizarding world, was the first to step forward. "I swear upon my magic that whatever is discussed within this group, will not leave this group," she declared firmly, her voice resonating with authority. As she spoke, a faint shimmer of magic surrounded her, a subtle yet undeniable testament to the power of her oath.
Cyrus Greengrass, a trusted ally who had known and worked with the Potters and Sirius for close to five years now, followed suit without hesitation. "I swear upon my magic that whatever is discussed within this group, will not leave this group," he affirmed, his expression resolute. A faint glimmer of magic danced in the air around him, a silent affirmation of his unwavering commitment.
Soleil Greengrass, his wife and a formidable witch in her own right, nodded in agreement. "I swear upon my magic that whatever is discussed within this group, will not leave this group," she stated firmly, her eyes reflecting both determination and trust. A subtle surge of magic radiated from her, a tangible manifestation of her oath.
One by one, the others in the room solemnly swore upon their magic, their voices joining together in a chorus of commitment and unity. As their oaths echoed through the room, a sense of solemnity descended, punctuated by the subtle yet unmistakable display of their magic. It was a moment of profound significance, a binding pledge of secrecy and solidarity that would guide them in the trials ahead.
Lily took a deep breath, preparing herself to reveal the deeply personal secret that she had carried for so long.
"I need to tell you all something," she began, her voice steady but tinged with emotion. "Years ago, right around the time people assume Harry was born, James and I experienced a heartbreaking loss. Our first child, a daughter, was born stillborn."
A hush fell over the room as Lily's words sank in. The pain of her loss was palpable, and each person present felt a pang of sympathy for her and James.
"But that's not the end of the story," Lily continued, her voice gaining strength. "After our loss, we were given the opportunity to adopt a child—a baby boy who would become our beloved Harry."
Gasps of astonishment filled the room as Lily's revelation unfolded. The weight of her secret hung heavy in the air, and each person present listened intently, captivated by her words.
"Harry is not our biological son," Lily explained, her voice tinged with both sadness and love. "But he is our son in every other sense of the word. He is our blood, our heart, our everything."
James stepped forward, his expression somber yet determined. He glanced at Sirius, a silent understanding passing between them, as they prepared to share their part of the story.
"Years ago," James began, his voice carrying the weight of their shared history, "Sirius and I witnessed something truly extraordinary. It was a night unlike any other—a night when the stars seemed to align, and destiny unfolded before our eyes."
He paused, gathering his thoughts before continuing. "It was on that fateful night that a spaceship descended from the heavens and landed in the backyard of the Potter family property."
Gasps of astonishment filled the room as James's words sank in. The revelation was beyond anything they could have imagined, yet there was an undeniable sense of truth in his voice.
"Sirius and I rushed outside to investigate," James continued, his gaze steady as he recounted the events of that unforgettable night. "And there, in the wreckage of the spaceship, we found a baby—a baby boy who would become our beloved Harry."
Tears welled in James's eyes as memories of that night flooded back. The sense of wonder and awe, the overwhelming love that had washed over them—it was a moment etched into their souls forever.
"We knew in that moment that Harry was destined for greatness," James declared, his voice filled with conviction. "He may not have come to us in the usual way, but he is our son in every sense of the word. Our blood, our heart, our everything."
Sirius stepped forward, his expression solemn yet proud. "I can attest to everything James has said," he affirmed. "That night changed our lives forever, and Harry became not just a part of the Potter family, but a part of our family too."
As James and Sirius spoke, the room fell into a reverent silence. The weight of their words hung heavy in the air, a testament to the extraordinary journey that had brought Harry into their lives.
In that moment, it was clear to everyone present that Harry's arrival had been nothing short of miraculous—a gift from the stars, destined to shine brightly in the darkness. And as they looked upon him with newfound understanding and appreciation, they knew that they would stand by him, no matter what challenges lay ahead.
Lily, James, and Sirius stood before the assembled group, their expressions earnest and determined. They understood that their story was hard to believe, but they were prepared to swear upon their magic to affirm its truth.
"I swear upon my magic that everything I've said is the truth," Lily declared, her voice resonating with sincerity and determination. As she spoke, a soft glow surrounded her, the shimmering light reflecting the purity of her oath.
James stepped forward, his expression steadfast as he echoed her words. "I swear upon my magic that everything I've said is the truth," he affirmed, his voice carrying the weight of his conviction. A flicker of magic danced in the air around him, a tangible manifestation of his unwavering commitment.
Sirius joined them, his gaze intense as he added his oath to theirs. "I swear upon my magic that everything I've said is the truth," he stated firmly, his voice echoing with the power of his declaration. A surge of magic surged forth from him, crackling with energy and resolve.
As their oaths echoed through the room, a sense of solemnity descended, punctuated by the tangible display of their magic. It was a moment of profound significance, a testament to their unwavering commitment to the truth and their shared determination to face the challenges ahead with integrity and courage.
As the others in the room absorbed their oaths, a collective understanding dawned. They may not fully comprehend the extraordinary nature of Harry's arrival, but they recognized the sincerity and integrity of Lily, James, and Sirius.
In that moment, their oaths became a sacred pact, binding them together in trust and solidarity. And as they faced the challenges ahead, they knew that they would stand by one another, united in their shared purpose and unwavering belief in the truth.
Madam Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, regarded the assembled group with a keen gaze, her expression serious yet composed.
"Now that we have sworn our oaths and shared our secrets," she began, her voice commanding attention, "it is time to discuss our plans moving forward. We must determine how best to confront the threat that looms over Hogwarts and the wizarding world."
Lily spoke up, her voice firm with conviction. "Under no circumstances is Dumbledore to be told of our plans. His approach of offering Death Eaters infinite chances of redemption was one of the reasons we were on the brink of losing the war last time."
James nodded in agreement, his expression reflecting the gravity of their situation. "Dumbledore's idealism is admirable, but it's also dangerous. We cannot afford to trust blindly in his judgment, especially when the safety of our loved ones is at stake."
Sirius chimed in, his tone resolute. "If Dumbledore ever finds out about our plans, he'll undoubtedly try to use Harry as a weapon, just like he did with his parents. We can't let that happen."
Muriel Prewett, her expression somber with memories of loss and betrayal, nodded in agreement with Sirius's words. "I've seen firsthand the consequences of Dumbledore's actions," she stated, her voice tinged with bitterness. "He was instrumental in the deaths of my nephews, Gideon and Fabian, and his influence has driven a wedge between me and my niece Molly, who blindly supports him."
She paused, her gaze steely with determination. "We cannot afford to trust Dumbledore with the safety of our children. He may have good intentions, but his methods are flawed, and his allegiance is questionable. We must keep our plans hidden from him at all costs."
Madam Bones listened to Muriel's words, her expression grave with understanding. She recognized the depth of Muriel's pain and the validity of her concerns.
"Your words carry weight, Muriel," Madam Bones acknowledged, her voice filled with respect. "We will heed your advice and ensure that Dumbledore remains unaware of our plans. Our focus must be on protecting our loved ones and confronting the threat before us, without interference from those who may not have our best interests at heart."
Lily took a moment to gather her thoughts before speaking up. "With the death of Quirrell, the position for the Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts is vacant," she stated, her voice steady with determination. "I propose that Edgar Bones takes the post for this year."
She glanced around the room, meeting the eyes of those assembled. "The Longbottoms and the Black families, who are on the school board, will ensure this appointment," she continued. "However, there are certain conditions that Edgar's acceptance of this job will hinge on. These conditions will help safeguard our children and ensure that Hogwarts remains a safe haven in these troubled times."
Madam Bones listened intently, recognizing the importance of their proposal. "What are these conditions?" she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity and concern.
Lily nodded, her expression serious yet determined. "Firstly," she began, "there must be increased security measures implemented throughout the school grounds, including enhanced protections against dark magic and unauthorized entry."
She paused, allowing her words to sink in before continuing. "Secondly, there must be regular communication and collaboration between the staff and the parents, allowing for transparency and accountability in all matters concerning the safety and well-being of the students."
Finally, Lily concluded, "Thirdly, there must be a strict vetting process for all new staff members, ensuring that only those who are truly dedicated to the welfare of the students are allowed to teach at Hogwarts."
Madam Bones nodded thoughtfully, acknowledging the validity of their conditions. "These are reasonable requests," she agreed. "I will do everything in my power to ensure that they are met. The safety of our children is paramount, and we must take every precaution to protect them."
James nodded in agreement with Madam Bones's acknowledgment of their conditions. "They are indeed," he affirmed. "But we must go even further to ensure the safety of our children at Hogwarts."
He turned to the group, his expression resolute. "We have already put forth a number of conditions for our children to attend Hogwarts, with the caveat that we will go elsewhere if those conditions aren't met."
James took a deep breath before continuing. "I suggest you put forth your own set of suggestions, starting with boycotting Snape. He regularly performs Legilimency on the students, which is a gross invasion of privacy and a violation of their rights."
As James's words hung in the air, a palpable tension settled over the room. The shock of his revelation rippled through the assembled group, each person processing the gravity of the accusation against Snape.
Madam Bones, her expression grave, spoke up, her voice tinged with concern. "Do you have proof to back this statement?" she asked, her gaze fixed on James, awaiting his response.
Sirius, his expression grim, interjected, his voice carrying the weight of conviction. "My niece, Dora, is a fourth year at Hogwarts," he began, his tone unwavering. "Due to her proficiency in the Mind Arts, she can block all attempts to invade her mind and even trace them to their origins, thus knowing who tried to read her thoughts."
He glanced around the room, meeting the eyes of those assembled. "Dora has confided in me about Snape's intrusive behavior," Sirius continued, his voice tinged with anger. "She felt violated and powerless to stop it happening to others. We owe it to all the students at Hogwarts to put an end to Snape's abuse of power."
Madam Bones listened intently, her expression grave with understanding. She recognized the seriousness of Sirius's words and the importance of Dora's unique abilities in corroborating James's accusation against Snape.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention," Madam Bones acknowledged, her voice filled with determination. "Your niece's testimony will be invaluable in our investigation, and we will ensure that her rights are protected throughout the process."
With a plan of action agreed upon, the group began to disperse, their minds focused on the tasks ahead. However, before they parted ways, Lily spoke up, her voice filled with sincerity.
"I think it's important for us to visit the Grangers," she suggested. "They're a Muggle family whose daughter attends Hogwarts and is friends with our children. The Grangers deserve to be informed and involved, just like any other family with a child at Hogwarts."
Madam Bones nodded in agreement, recognizing the validity of Lily's words. "Absolutely," she affirmed. "We must ensure that the Grangers are kept informed and reassured about the safety and well-being of their daughter and all the students at Hogwarts."
Giffard Abbott raised a valid point, asking if they should disclose this information to their children.
Madam Bones considered the question for a moment before responding. "I believe it's important to be honest with our children," she stated. "They deserve to know what's happening at Hogwarts, especially if it may affect their safety and well-being."
She glanced around the room, meeting the eyes of the other parents. "However," she continued, "we must also ensure that we present the information in a way that is appropriate for their age and understanding. We don't want to unduly alarm them, but we also don't want to keep them in the dark."
"I suggest you inform the children during their Christmas break," Lily said, her voice thoughtful. "The children will be with us, and we can have a calm and open conversation about what's been happening at Hogwarts. It will give them the opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns they may have in a familiar and supportive environment."
Madam Bones nodded in agreement, recognizing the wisdom in Lily's suggestion. "That way," she added, "we can ensure that they have the time and space to process the information and come to terms with any changes or challenges that may arise."
With the decision made to inform the children during their Christmas break, the group felt a sense of relief knowing that they had a plan in place. They knew that by approaching the conversation with care and sensitivity, they could help their children navigate the uncertain times ahead with confidence and reassurance. And as they prepared to visit the Grangers, they did so with the knowledge that they were taking another step toward ensuring the safety and well-being of their families and the wider wizarding community.
