Well this was not ideal at all, this part of the ship seemed to be completely destroyed. What appeared to be the nose of another ship had smashed into the entire deck that was above the databanks. A Brief scan of the hull's structure indicated that his journey would still be completable with a brief detour into the hole opened by the other ship, across a gap with no floor for several levels, and then back out of the other ship.
Thankfully this shouldn't be too much of a problem, he had discovered that he had the ability to float halfway through his journey down towards the lower aft of his own ship. After a final leg sans ground he arrived in the hallway that led to his destination. Unfortunately, it looked like there was already something else occupying that same hallway.
"Oi! Wott da eck are you!"
"I could be considered many things at the moment"
"Don't git smart with me!"
"I believe I have caused offense, you may call me Sentinal 4"
"Oi, zog off wiv yer fancy talk! I ain't givin' a squig's fart 'bout yer name! I jus' wanna know wot ya are... nah, scrap dat! All ya need to know is dat I'm Nob Gruzbol, an' I'm gonna krump ya like a proper Ork!"
"...understood, unfortunately I will have to arrange for your own demise instead."
Before the Ork could respond several scarabs that had subtly dismounted from his frame at the start of the conversation burst through the floor and drilled directly up into the soles of his feet and began to burrow into the Orks body.
Gruzbol flailed around wildly while scratching and punching at his own legs in a futile attempt to remove the scarabs. This did little to stop the scarabs that had made it up to his calves at this point. Sentinel 4 slowly approached while observing the way that the scarabs worked to continue up through the Orks body to it's brain. Several things became apparent as he observed the readouts being provided to him by his current body. Information about the biological makeup of the Ork, various minute details about the specifics of scarab matter absorption and transformation, and details and calculations with matter-to-energy transformation using gathered materials were the highlights.
After a time and when eventually the Ork began to club himself in the chest while foaming at the mouth did Sentinal 4 finally end the information-gathering exercise/execution. The scarabs accelerated their ascent and quickly annihilated the Orks brain before exiting at the top of its skull.
Pausing for a moment after the Orks demise, the scarabs began to do something that confused him. All of the scarabs that he had used for his attack had bundled up into a ball and crawled around on top of each other. Each of them emitted a slightly more bright glow than they normally did. This continued for several minutes before a change in the readouts that he had on their energy levels showed that they had all dropped back down to their baseline level but whereas before there were 10 scarabs now he observed that there were a dozen.
"Self replication..." Sentinal 4 thought to himself.
Deciding that he could explore the possibilities later he began to float past the cooling corpse of the Ork before another thought struck him. Collecting all of his original scarabs he took the replicated scarabs up to his eye sensor level.
"You two will consume Entity Nob Gruzbol and replicate yourselves, then explore other areas of the ship. Do not engage any other Entities unless instructed to by an Admiral or higher representative of the Solar Empire or myself."
For a moment Sentinal 4 waited for a response from the seemingly inert scarabs before they responded with what could only be described as an affirming glow. Somewhat dubiously he lowered the scarabs back down to the ground where after a brief pause they scurried back into Gruzbols corpse via the hole that their brethren had just come out of.
After another moment to observe the process once more from both visual and sensor readout perspectives, he turned back down towards the end of the hallway and completed his journey to the databanks. He just hoped that it would have positive information on the fate of the Incitatus crewmembers.
