Tanjuro and his Demons had another short Mission to do. After taking out the Demon, they all headed home. The group soon stopped at the Wisteria House on the way home. Tanjuro desperately needed a bath, and he wanted to give his Demons a moment to rest before they continued home. The Kamado scrubbed himself thoroughly, multiple times. Then he rinsed himself off, before climbing into the bath. Tanjuro sighed as he relaxed in the hot water. "Oh my God. I needed this. I can't wait to see my family. I know Shizu will be happy as well. But right now, I don't want to leave this bath" Tanjuro said to himself as he closed his eyes. Even as a Demon, who couldn't technically get aches and pains anymore, he still needed to relax sometimes.
After a few minutes, when the water started to get cold, Tanjuro climbed out and dried himself off. A clean set of clothes had been provided for him, and the dirty one taken to be washed. Tanjuro met his Demons in the room they had been provided. "Mr Tanjuro! Look at my new clothes!" Sayuri squealed, running over to him. The young Demon girl was wearing the Yukata of the Wisteria Houses. "Do I look pretty?" Sayuri asked shyly. Tanjuro smiled and opened his arms. The black-haired Demon girl ran over to him, as her creator pulled her into his lap, "you look very pretty and cute Sayuri" he replied, patting her head.
Tanjuro smiled at the young Demon as she beamed back. It was hard to believe that she had been horribly abused and hadn't even known how to smile just a short while ago. He was glad that he had been able to save Sayuri instead of killing her. She deserved to have a happy life, instead of one of fear and pain. "Is everyone alright with heading back to Headquarters tomorrow? Or do we want a break here? I mean, it's not really fair of us to take up room that could be used for injured Demon Slayers, but I won't protest if you all want a break"
Shizu frowned, "is it b-bad that w-w-we're here Sir?" she asked. Tanjuro looked away. How did he explain to his Demons about his feelings about this? They shouldn't have to get dragged into his problems. But then, hadn't that already happened as soon as he'd turned them? They were obligated to serve him now, until they all became human again. Tanjuro didn't know how to feel about that, so he usually chose to ignore those parts, and just treat them like how he treated everyone. He turned back to Shizu, smiling softly, "not at all. I just don't want to force you if you're not ready to leave yet" Tanjuro explained.
"C-can we go b-back tomorrow? I w-want to see my ch-children" Tanjuro nodded, "of course. let's just get some rest tonight though. Okay?" he asked.

The five Demons spent the night relaxing or reading some of the books in the house. Tanjuro watched his Demons talking quietly among themselves, until the sun rose. "Alright everyone. Time to go home" he said as he stood up. Shizu smiled, hurrying to the door. "I haven't actually met your family yet. I'm looking forward to it" Hakuji said, as the group left the house. Tanjuro bowed to the owner, "thank you for your hospitality Ma'am. We'll be on our way now" he said gratefully. "Of course. The Master told us all about you and your Demons, so we would know to allow you in" the woman replied.
Tanjuro smiled and turned to leave. The five of them then shot off. As they ran, he hoped they wouldn't get anymore Missions for a while. He wanted to spend some time with his family before he had to leave again. Over the next few nights, they took out some random Demons along the way home, and Tanjuro bought some small presents for his children. A new hairpin for Nezuko, dolls for Hanako and Teiko and Haruka. Stuffed bunnies for Koto and Rokuta, a puzzle for Shigeru, Hiroshi and Shuya to do together and a new letter-writing set to send to Sanemi.
Tanjuro hoped the two youngest boys weren't crying without him and Shizu. Although Kie was there too. It took two more days and nights for them to make it to the area where the Kakushi would meet them. One of them bowed to him, "Mr Kamado, we were sent to bring you all home. I understand that you are not connected to Muzan Kibutsuji, but, per our orders, we need to blindfold and carry you all the rest of the way" he said. Tanjuro nodded, "alright. Do you need us to shrink so we're not too big or heavy?" he asked. "That would help" one of the other Kakushi agreed.
So the larger Demons shrank down, while Shizu and Sayuri were small enough to not need it. Their eyes were covered and their ears were plugged. Then they were picked up and carried away.

Eventually, they arrived back at the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, and Tanjuro waved to the Kakushi as they left. "Do we need to meet the Master to introduce Hakuji, Sir?" Yukito asked. "Well, let's just see if he's available to meet Hakuji first" Tanjuro decided. He led them towards Kagaya's Mansion, only to find no one there. He looked around, before Kagaya's two oldest daughters walked out of the mansion. Tanjuro nodded to them with a smile, "we're here to see the Master to introduce my newest Demon" he said, indicating Hakuji. The white-haired twins nodded, "please wait a moment."
Tanjuro, Yukito, Shizu, Sayuri and Hakuji stood behind him and waited as Kagaya's Wife exited the mansion. She knelt down in front of them, "my Husband is presently not well enough to see you personally. So I will be taking this meeting" Amane explained. Tanjuro nodded, "I understand. I hope Kagaya recovers soon Ma'am". He replied. "So, you have made Upper Rank 3 one of your Demons then?" Amane asked, looking over the black-haired Demon, who bowed his head. "Yes Ma'am. He came to me asking for Asylum after Muzan's torture unintentionally returned his human memories. So far, my decision to accept him as one of my own has not been betrayed" Tanjuro explained.
The white-haired woman nodded, "my Husband saw as much" she replied. Tanjuro looked politely curious, but Amane didn't elaborate. "Well, you will not have any Missions for a few days now Tanjuro" she said. "Ma'am?" the Demon King asked in confusion. "You have done well since becoming a Demon Slayer, and my Husband and I agree that you all deserve some time off. Please relax and spend this time with your family Mr Kamado" Amane said. "Thank you very much Lady Amane. In that case, we'll be heading back to the Love Hashira's Estate to visit our families" Tanjuro said, bowing his head. The group of Demons then turned and left.

As they ran through the Headquarters, Tanjuro was thinking about his family, glad to finally have some time with them. Kie and their children would be happy about this. As they reached the Love Estate, Tanjuro beamed as he saw all of their children out the front playing together. Shizu let out a cry and ran towards them immediately. Genya saw her first, "Mom!" he cried, as he and Hiroshi ran towards her. Then the rest of the Shinazugawa children minus Sanemi ran over with excited cheers and squeals. Shizu tried to hug them all at once, with Tanjuro smiling at them. "Father!" he turned to see Tanjiro, Nezuko and the rest of his children run over.
They all hugged him. Tanjuro pat and kissed them on the heads, picking up Rokuta as the three-year-old held out his arms to be picked up. "I'm so happy to see all of you guys. I missed you all so much" Tanjuro said happily. Suddenly the front door opened a crack, and a bright Purple eye glowed in the darkness of the house. "Kie! You really are awake!" he cried. Tanjuro quickly moved into the house to hug his Wife, who hummed happily through her muzzle at him. "I'm home Love" he said softly. "Daddy! Can we play now that you're home?" Shigeru asked. "Yeah! Let's play! Let's play!" Hiroshi cheered. Tanjuro smiled warmly at all of his children, "of course. I have a few days off too, so I can play with all of you as much as you want" he replied.
"Yay!" Koto cried happily. Tanjuro spotted Haruka peeking out at them from behind his Wife. "Hey. Want to come play with us too Haruka?" he asked her. "Yeah! Come play with us!" Hanako and Teiko agreed, pulling her out of the house with them. "Okay!" the little human girl replied happily. Tanjuro kissed his Wife on the forehead again, before going to join the other children.

A few days later, Tanjuro was helping Kanna with the chores, when he heard screaming outside. Tanjuro dropped the mop he was using, and rushed outside with a snarl. He found one of the Hashira with Teiko under one arm, and Hanako over his shoulder. The rest of his children were crying and trying to pull their Sister's away from the man. Tanjuro's snarl evolved into a full on growl. He ran towards the white-haired man, "put my daughters down, now!" he cried furiously. The Hashira turned to look back at him, before a grin spread on his face, "well, if it isn't the flashy new Demon King!" he cried.
