The sun radiated across the western coast of Kalos, gleaming over the rocky cliffs and white sand beaches of Ambrette town. Bonnie and Clemont's eyes glistened as they took in the beauty. Bunnelby, Chespin, and Dedenne did much the same. Their long journey across the Kalos countryside now brining them to this paradise. However, not all in their group saw it that way. Bonnie puffed up her cheeks and Clemont sweat dropped as they looked back at Ash and Serena. Ash remained locked in his ever-increasing training regiments since unlocking his aura. He and his pokemon had been up since dawn and showed no signs of slowing down even as sweat drenched their bodies.
Serena and Fennekin proved no better. They also got up early, spending hours on end conditioning and practicing different routines. Both looked just as sweaty as Ash and his team, but likewise had fiery determination to continue.
"They sure are passionate, aren't they."
"More like obsessed!" Bonnie huffed out some smoke and charged over to them. "Enough!"
Ash, Serena, and their pokemon jumped. Bonnie crossed her arms with a furious expression.
"You two need to take a break, we're in paradise and all you can focus on is training. You still have time before your next gym battle, and you have plenty of time before your first showcase!" Bonnie cut off their arguments before either could speak. Both trainers sweat dropped before looking back at themselves.
"Maybe Bonnie's right. I haven't been here since I was a kid. I forgot how beautiful it is." Serena beamed as she took in the coastline and soon Ash joined in.
"Hai. Let's take a break guys." Ash's team nodded and looked out at the beach with enticed looks, all except Riolu who pouted that their training was over. After a quick shower, Serena and Bonnie went to changing room near the beach. The young woman's face turned pink as she held a towel over herself while looking in the mirror. It certainly was not the first time she had been to the beach, but it was the first time Ash would see her in a bathing suit. She was terrified of what he might think of her. Fennekin nudged her with a reassuring look and Bonnie grinned from behind.
"Hmm, Serena nis nervous. As expected. Still, this is a perfect opportunity to enact Operation Amourshipping. The beach offered so many possibilities for such things, and she would miss none of them. Bonnie concealed herself with an innocent smile and took Serena by the hand.
"Come on, Serena, the others are waiting for us!"
Serena found herself led outside, but still clutched the towel over her body. Once outside they saw many beachgoers and their pokemon already enjoying themselves. However, nothing could prepare her for what happened next. Clemont and Ash revealed themselves from the men's changing room. Both wore swim trunks and Serena noticed Clemont had changed since they met. His daily training with Ash had shaped him into a more athletic build. As for Ash himself. Despite seeing him shirtless before, Serena went bright red at the sight of his refined figure.
"There you guys are, let's find a good spot." Ash waved them over but Serena's legs did not move. She opened her mouth to speak, however, Bonnie acted first. With Dedenne's help, she grabbed Serena's towel and pulled it away. Before the young woman even realized what happened, Dedenne jolted her in the back with a little electricity that made Serena stumble forward into Ash's arms. Now it was Ash that went scarlet. He saw Serena's elegant figure within a red bikini, but he was not prepared for her to land in his arms. Both their hearts races as they remained locked in the bashful embrace for what felt like hours.
Pikachu chuckled and did nothing to break up the scene while Bonnie and Dedenne snickered. Clemont, meanwhile, backed up, unable to speak. Fennekin finally broke them up as she forced herself between her trainer and Ash, growling at him. For the first time, Bonnie was truly cross with the cute little fire fox, but the job was already done.
"Uhh, why don't we find that spot." Ash struggled for words and Serena nodded, both avoiding each other's eyes. At that, the group found a suitable location near the water. Ash set up the umbrella while Serena laid out towels. Clemont was about to reveal one of his inventions when a sharp look from Bonnie halted him. From there, the morning proved delightful for everyone. Charizard and Fletchinder enjoyed a flight in the ocean breeze, Frogadier joined Ash in a swimming race, Pikachu, Bunnelby, and Chespin built a sandcastle with Clemont, and even Riolu became content as Fennekin napped beside him.
After resting herself, Serena joined the others in a game of volleyball that soon made her and Ash forget their earlier fluster. Together they defeated the siblings and were almost taken aback when Bonnie did not scold Clemont for them losing. Soon, Serena found herself brushing some of the sand out of Fennekin's fur when she noticed Ash with his entire team. Yet, they were not the only ones to catch her attention. She also glanced over at Clemont who likewise built another sandcastle with his two pokemon. The thought had dwelled on Serena for some time. She loved Fennekin, but she also knew that a larger team would be necessary for better performances. The problem was, Serena had never caught a pokemon before. Ash made it look so simple, but he was an experienced trainer. She could not ask him to catch a pokemon for her, but there was no harm in asking for his help.
"Fennekin, what do you think, should we add another member to our team?"
"Fen!" Fennekin wagged her tail and nodded. As they approached Ash, they smirked together upon noticing he was discretely training with Riolu again while his other pokemon relaxed.
"Training again, are we?" She giggled and savored Ash's pale expression as he sweat dropped with Riolu.
"We, uh. It's a game back in Kanto."
"Sure it is. I'll make you a deal, help us with something and I won't tell Bonnie."
"Deal! What did you have in mind?"
"Well, I was kind of hoping you could help us catch a pokemon."
"Hai! That's a great idea. There should be plenty of pokemon here for you." Ash gestured to the air, land, and sea. Soon Serena understood what he meant, for a vast assortment of wild pokemon lay everywhere he pointed. A school of Magikarp danced about in the waves with Carvanha chasing them. A few Goldeen swam more serenely while Corphish rested on the rocks with Krabby and Wingull, while others clashed with Binacle for the same spot. Following Ash to the water, Serena held Fennekin in her arms to keep the fire-fox dry.
"Alright, now just look around and see if there are any you're interested in."
"Oui!"
Serena and Fennekin did just that. Aside from the ones Ash pointed out, they soon spotted Shellders and Staryus in the surf alongside Claunchers. Serena pictured how each of them would play out in a performance. While a staryu had potential, she decided to keep looking. Soon enough, Serena spotted a few Skrelps and Horseas. The Horseas also had possibilities, however, Serena and Fennekin both knew the answer when they saw her. A bright pink serpent like pokemon appeared to dance about in the surf with glistening eyes.
"Ahh! She's beautiful!"
"Hai, that's a Gorebyss." Ash explained the basics of Gorebyss but Serena was too fixed on her imagination of what the wonderous pokemon could do in a performance. With a determined smile, Serena set Fennekin down a nearby rock and pointed at Gorebyss, channeling Ash's enthusiasm.
"I'm gonna catch her!"
"Hold on Serena-" Ash started.
"It's ok, Ash. I know not to try fire moves! Fennekin, Psybeam!"
"Fen!" Fennekin unleashed the beam of psychic energy, but the Gorebyss dove underwater before it could make contact. It was only then that Serena realized just how exposed Fennekin was, unable to move without falling in. She raced over to try and grab her, but Gorebyss sprung up inches in front of them. The performer and her partner both yelped and embraced each other as Gorebyss drenched them with a watergun before swimming off. Now soaked, Serena and Fennekin groaned while large beads of sweat ran down their foreheads. Bonnie did her best not to giggle, but a few of Ash's pokemon made no such efforts. Ash, however, patted Serena's shoulder.
"It's alright, I got a bit ahead of myself plenty of times too. Why don't you try again."
Despite Ash's assurances, Serena's efforts proved fruitless. The only one who got any enjoyment out of the whole affair was Bonnie who smirked after Ash and Pikachu rescued Serena and Fennekin from a surf attack. The result left Serena cradled in Ash's arms looking ready to melt, and even Ash himself appeared a little bashful. The little girl and her Dedenne nodded with wide grins, pleased at just how well Operation Amourshipping was unfolding.
By the time they left the beach, Serena had not caught a single pokemon and struggled to keep up with the others as they walked to the town's aquarium.
"Come on, Serena! I hear the aquarium here is amazing!" Bonnie's eyes lit up when she saw the massive building before them. With Ash's help, Serena came inside but even the sight of so many beautiful pokemon swimming about in tanks and other enclosures did little to brighten her mood.
Ash, and the others, however, lost themselves. Even if Ash had seen most of these pokemon before, he never tired of them. Serena, however, almost tortured herself picturing many of the inhabitants on her team, but alas, she could not just catch a pokemon that belonged to the aquarium. It was not until Bonnie eagerly pointed to a group of little Piplups following a handler to their enclosure that Serena's mood perked up. The little blue penguins were quite adorable and one even ran over to say hello, taking Serena's hands. This earned a bright smile from the young woman.
"Not this way." She pointed back to the handler and the Piplup ran back. "Piplup sure are friendly."
"Hai, but the one I knew tended to get carried away."
Ash and Pikachu sweatdropped as they remembered their adventures with Dawn's Piplup. Bonnie, almost fainted when she saw the Piplups dance about in their pen, and Clemont had to carry her away. Soon, Serena and Fennekin found their spirits lifted as they stood beside Ash watching a school of Luvdisc swim past them. Serena could not resist and inched herself closer while Fennekin nuzzled an extremely flustered Riolu.
"Well, well, well. Look whose here." The familiar voice snapped them out of their daze and they turned to see none other than Alexa standing before them.
"Alexa!?"
"Bonjour, so good to see everyone."
"Ahh! Bonjour Alexa!"
Bonnie and Clemont raced over leaving Alexa surrounded. Yet she did not seem to mind.
"What are you doing here?" Ash asked.
"Well I'm here for my work, but like you I'm on my way to Cyllage city too. My dear baby sister is getting married."
"What!?" The group yelped and Bonnie beamed.
"Oui, Grant proposed to Viola the other day and she almost passed out. It's about time."
"Ahh, that's wonderful!"
Serena clasped both hands together and an enraptured look overtook her face when she imagined the wedding. Soon she turned pink as Viola and Grant transformed into herself and Ash.
"Married. I hope this doesn't distract Grant from our battle."
Ash's comment snapped Serena from her daydream. She, Bonnie, and Fennekin stared at him with the same exhausted expression. Bonnie wondered how he could be so dense. Alexa, however, only laughed.
"Don't worry Ash. He won't."
"Wait, Alexa. What work did you have here?" Clemont asked and she grinned wider.
"How about I show you. Come on."
Waving them on, Alexa led the group toward a secluded area of the aquarium where two large security guards stood outside a doorway with equally buff Machamps beside them. The doorway itself looked no less impressive. Clemont soon lost control of himself as he went into detail over the numerous security systems around it, leaving the others lost.
"Brother, we get it, the door is locked."
"It's alright gentlemen, they're with me." Alexa flashed a visitor's badge and the guards moved aside. When the doorway opened, Clemont's eyes lit up again when they entered a laboratory with dozens of men and women working around machines, computers, and other equipment alongside some Rotoms.
"Thaddeus, Thaddeus." Alexa called out and soon a scrawny man with graying hair and rectangular glasses approached them, a clipboard in hand.
"Ahh, there you are, Alexa. Right on time according to Rotom." Thaddeus held up a watch which transformed into a snickering Rotom, then turned back. "I see you brought some guests. My word, is this the young man who jumped off Prism Tower?"
"I, uh-" Ash started.
"Oui. I hope you don't mind, but I thought these kids along to see your work."
"Not at all, I-"
"Dr. Thaddeus!" Clemont forced himself ahead of the others with stars in his eyes. "You're the greatest paleobiologist in Kalos! I'm Clemont sir! I-"
"Brother, enough." Bonnie pulled him away.
"Ahh another aspiring scientist. Bonjour, welcome all of you. Alexa is here to report on our progress. We've kept it on the down low for some time, but are ready to unveil soon."
"What is it?" Ash asked.
"I think it's best we show you. This way." Thaddeus led them on but Alexa patted Serena on the shoulder as they did.
"I saw your pokevision, Serena. You were adorable."
"Merci. It was nothing really."
"Nothing, you were amazing. Plus you and Ash. Congratulations, it was a bit sooner than expected, but I knew it was bound to happen eventually."
Ash and Serena blinked, not understanding what she meant. Bonnie, however, did and suppressed a deep snicker. Soon enough, they reached another doorway and Thaddeus handed them all winter clothing. "Trust me, you'll want these. It's quite cold inside." Following his direction, they put the coats on and soon understood what he meant. They entered what looked like a forest deep in winter. Snow covered dozens of trees and every inch of the ground.
"Huh? An enclosure, do you have pokemon in here-" Serena started when her eyes went wide. The ground itself shook as the biggest Pokemon she had ever seen emerged from the trees. A blue sauropod with colorful frills on the back of her neck and ice like gemstones across her body.
"Auro!"
"Is-is that!? " Serena stuttered.
"A dinosaur!"
Bonnie screamed loud enough to be heard in Kanto. Clemont tried to grab her but found himself barely able to contain his own disbelief. The little girl raced across the snow before four smaller and lighter versions of the dinosaur emerged. Bonnie looked happier than they had ever seen her as the dinosaurs nuzzled her.
"Yes, here at the fossil lab we have successfully revived the ancient pokemon Amaura and Aurorus."
"Cool! I've never seen this fossil pokemon before!"
Ash took out his pokedex and read the entry on both. However, he saw Clemont and Serena both gaping at him. "You've seen fossil pokemon before!?"
"Hai, plenty of times. But technically so have you, remember Grant's Aerodactyl."
It was only then they realized he was right. With that out of the way, Clemont bombarded Thaddeus with several thousand questions on how he restored fossil pokemon. Ash, Serena, and Alexa, however, went over to see the dinosaurs. Bonnie raced around the snow with the four Amaura following her and Dedenne. Alexa took several pictures of them and Aurorus who inclined her massive head down and breathed some mist into the camera.
"Aww, come on, this is expensive." Alexa stroked her head while Ash did the same. Pikachu ran across Aurorus's long neck, stopping on her forehead. Serena wanted to join them, but two of the Amarua broke off to greet her.
"Ahh, bonjour, aren't you cute. Fennekin say bonjour."
"Fen!"
One Amaura nuzzled Fennekin while the other let Serena hug his head. They were oddly kind for dinosaurs. Serena always imagined dinosaur pokemon as titanic monsters that ruled the world before man ever came.
"They sure are friendly." Serena giggled.
"Oui. They were a bit afraid of us at first, but over time these darlings started to trust us. It's one of the reasons we need tight security here." Thaddeus took a deep breath as he stroked Aurorus's head.
"Dr. Thaddeus, do you have any Tyrunts!? I've seen recreations of them, they look so cute!" Bonnie beamed but the others saw Thaddeus's face turn pale.
"Is something wrong?" Ash asked.
"You kids must promise to keep this a secret. We have another lab where we successfully restored several Tyrunt. But alas, those thugs Team Flare discovered it and attacked. They kidnapped our lead scientist and one of the Tyrunts."
"No!" Clemont yelped. He had kept up with how many prominent scientists fell into Team Flare's hands as of late. Over a dozen of Kalos's top minds were missing, as well as several from other regions who came to visit. He himself almost suffered the same fate and shivered.
"That's why you kids can't tell anyone about this. Alexa is here to take pictures for the other scientific organizations."
"Don't worry, we won't." Ash assured them.
"Merci, now. Hold on." Thaddeus adjusted his glasses and looked around at the four Amaura. "Where did she go? Youngsters, we have a fifth Amaura whose always running off. Would you mind helping us find her?"
"No problem, come on guys!"
Ash and Pikachu went off in one direction, while Serena and Fennekin went in another.
"We'll find you Amarua!" Bonnie declared while leading Clemont away.
Serena and Fennekin called out for Amaura but heard no response. She started to wonder how a dinosaur could be so hard to find, but then again, this was supposed to be an accurate recreation of their old environment. It was natural for Amaura to blend in. She almost cried out again when Fennekin's ear twitched and she looked towards a patch of trees.
"Fen."
"What is it?" Serena looked toward where Fennekin pointed and soon heard it too. An Amaura's voice like the others, but more musical. They carefully moved through the trees until they saw her. Another Amaura, perhaps a little smaller than the others, danced around in the snow while singing. Serena and Fennekin's eyes lit up as they saw a fiery passion in the Amaura face. She continued her dance while using Powder Snow and Icy Wind to enhance the visuals. She seemed to lose herself amid the performance, singling louder and louder. When Amaura finished, Serena and Fennekin clapped in spite of themselves. They clearly caught the poor dinosaur off-guard by the way she yelped and tried to hide.
"Ahh, we're sorry! Please, come back!"
Amaura poked her head back out but still looked nervous and whined. Fennekin nudged toward Serena's bag.
"Good idea, Fennekin." She reached inside and took out a macaroon holding it out toward Amaura. It took a minute or so, but the dinosaur's eyes fixed on Serena's sweet and she slowly walked over before sniffing it. When Amaura finally took the macaroon up, her eyes looked ready to explode. The dinosaur almond did a backflip and danced around in the snow, earning giggles from Serena and Fennekin. Obviously sweets did not exist during the time of the dinosaurs, thus Amaura never would have tasted something like it before.
"I'm glad you like it. We really enjoyed your performance. You looked beautiful."
"Fen, Fennekin."
"Amaur." Amaura blushed a little and looked away.
"Go on, we'd love to see more."
"Fen!"
It took a few moments, but Amaura started dancing again. Serena enjoyed it, but noticed a few things that Amaura could do to improve her technique. She offered these suggestions while Fennekin assured the dinosaur they would work. When Amaura went again, she found her performance even more dazzling than before. At Serena's direction, she ice the combination of icy wind and Powder snow to create two snow Amaura's around her that seemed to dance.
"Amaur!" Amaura looked like she couldn't believe she had just done.
"Beautiful!" Serena and Fennekin clapped again and Amaura raced over to nuzzle her. In that instant, Serena imagined Amaura beside her and Fennekin on a stage. Alas, the young woman sighed. As wonderful as the thought was, she could not take Amaura from the lab. With a deep sigh, Serena looked back in the direction of the others.
"We should-"
An explosion rocked the enclosure walls and Amaura yelped with Serena and Fennekin. The young woman pulled them behind a few trees. The two pokemon shivered as they peered over at the gaping hole with burning metal melting the snow around it. Serena turned pale as she had a pretty good idea of just who this might be.
"No, no." Despite her pleading, in they came, two team Flare grunts and an Admin.
"We're in, find those dinosaur pokemon and the Dr. Xerosic will have your heads if you screw this up."
"Us? What about you, ma'am?"
"I already succeeded."
Serena's eyes widened as she saw another dinosaur pokemon walk in beside the Admin. She held out her pokedex and saw it was the other Kalos Fossil Pokemon, Tyrunt. However, unlike the one in the picture, this Tyrunt had cybernetic augmentations across his body, making him look more like a robot than anything. She gasped, realizing this had to be the Tyrunt stolen from the other lab.
"Come on, we need to find the others." Serena held a finger to her lips and guided them through the forest when a horrifying screeching noise brought them to a halt. Serena groaned with both pokemon as the Supersonic attack brought them to their knees.
"There it is, an Amaura! Grab it!"
"Amau!" Amaura tried to run, but tripped over herself, faceplanting. Two Zubat flew in for her only for a torrent of fire to stop them.
"Leave her alone!" Serena and Fennekin threw themselves in front of Amaura.
"Who is that?"
"Who cares, get rid of the brat!" The Admin snarled and her grunts raced at Serena with their Zubat.
"Fennekin, Fire Spin!"
"Fen!" The spinning fire engulfed both Zubat and dropped them into the snow, half charred.
"Fools, can't stop a little girl."
"Leave Amaura alone!" Serena cried.
"Fen!"
"Tyrunt, Dragon Tail."
Before Serena could even react, the enhanced Tyrunt lunged, slamming Serena and Fennekin back behind Amaura. Both groaned in a terrible agony and Amaura yelped. She tried to ease their pain with some ice when Tyrunt came in again, crashing his tail into the other dinosaur.
"Amaur!"
"Ahh! Amaura!" Serena scrambled over to her, but Amaura could barely move.
"Now we have her. Toxicroak, get me that Amaura."
The admin pointed as an enhanced Toxicroak leaped up and came down toward them. Serena braced for impact, covering Amaura and Fennekin with her body. However, instead, she heard the steams of agony from above. A thunderbolt hit the cybernetic Toxicroak, frying his implants and sending him soaring into a tree.
"Get back!" Ash's voice boomed across the forest and Serena's eyes lit up when she saw him race in front of her with Pikachu and Riolu.
"Another brat, how annoying. Tyrunt, eat those Pokemon."
The admin pulled back her sleeve revealing implants before charging at Ash. Another cybernetic Toxicroak came out and clashed with Pikachu while the Tyrunt charged Riolu, his jaws snapping. Ash did not speak, but his eyesflashed blue alongside his pokemon. Aura armor coated his fists moments before impact and Ash blocked the admin's enhanced punches before slamming her back with his own.
Riolu, likewise threw his paws up and blocked Tyrunt's dragon tail. However, unlike Ash, he grimmaced upon impact and struggled to hold the move back. Fennekin fixed herself on the aura pokemon as he mirrored's Ash's movements. As much as Serena wanted to do the same as Fennekin, she kenw they could not sit there so close to the dancer.
"Come on, we need to help Amaura."
"Fen!" Together they got Amaura to her feed when another grunt scrambled in front of them.
"There it is! Dustox use Poison Powder!"
"Amaur!"
"Fennekin! Flamethrower!"
"Fen!" Fennekin consumed the poison powder, which glittered in the flames. Amaura watched in awe and disbelief as Fennekin seemed to dance around the snow, evading the Dustox's moves.
"Fire spin! Psybeam!"
Fennekin surrounded Dustox in flames, consuming the last of his attacks. Then, she sent a Psybeam up the middle, which gleamed and lit up the snow in bright lights. Amaura's eyes turned to stars watching it and she almost forgot the danger. When Dustox collapsed the grunt yelped. He backed up before bumping into one of the burley guards from earlier.
"...You know, I think I'll just leave-"
Serena covered Fennekin and Amaura's eyes as the guard went to town on the poor grunt. She turned back to the dinosaur who nuzzled her.
"Oui, I'm glad you're safe too. Wait a minute, Ash still needs help!"
Ash and Riolu both landed aura infused blows into their respective opponents, knocking them back into a stumble.
"Let's finish this, Riolu! Force Palm!"
"Grou!"
"Crush his hand with a bite!"
"Runt!"
Riolu and the enhanced Tyrunt charged, eyes fixed on each other. Yet the aura pokemon's eyes flashed blue at the last moment. Together, as Ash landed his finishing blow on the admin, Riolu hit Tyrunt's snout before he could bite. The blow shattered his cybernetic implants and sent him flying into the snow.
"Pokeball go!" Ash hurled a pokeball, more out of reflex than anything. But if, by chance, the admin had not caught the Tyrunt he was not going to let her keep him. To his surprise, Tyrunt went inside and the pokeball sparked.
"What the!? You never caught it!?" A grunt yelped and the admin gulped.
"The implants made it unnecessary."
Pikachu raced over and retrieved Tyrunt's pokeball before handing it off to Ash. He, stared at the terrified Team Flare members with his pokemon. "Pokemon aren't machines to be controlled. Let's go, Tyrunt!" Tyrunt came out and stretched. He examined his body, now free of implants and smiled.
"Runt!"
"Tyrunt, Dragon Tail! Pikachu Thunderbolt! Riolu, Force Palm!"
The three pokemon charged and sent the Team Flare members flying into the distance. Ash and Pikachu sighed in relief, but Tyrunt had other plans. He jumped into Ash, knocking him into his back before licking his face. "Runt!"
"Ahh, you're welcome." Ash chuckled with Pikachu while Riolu huffed, jealous of Tyrunt. That was until the dinosaur pokemon raced over and licked him too.
"Grou, group." Riolu relented and hugged Tyrunt back.
"Cute! Cute!"
Bonnie came sprinting over the snow with hearts for eyes. Before Tyrunt knew what hit him, she wrapped both arms around his body.
"Ash! Serena! There you are!"
Alexa led Thaddeus and Clemont over and both scientist tried to catch their breath.
"How did they find us!?"
"I think they wish they hadn't." Clemont pointed to the last grunt who ran for his lift from the guard.
"It looks like you kids came to the rescue again." Alexa chuckled when she saw Amaura nuzzling Serena, who sweatdropped.
"Oui, trouble seems to follow us."
"Oh my goodness! Could that be you Tyrunt!?" Thaddeus raced over only for Tryunt to pounce him into the snow. "Oui, that's you."
"Runt!"
"Uhh, yeah, the Flare Admin had him and I sort of had to uh, catch him." Ash sweatdropped with Pikachu, but Tyrunt nuzzled him again.
"He gets to travel with us! Ash you're the greatest!" Bonnie exploded in joy.
"Did you now? Hmm, well Tyrunt, do you want to go with him?"
"Runt!" Tyrunt nodded.
"Well, that's that then. I suppose we can't keep them cooped up forever. Take good care of him young man."
"Hai! Welcome to the team, Tyrunt!" Ash let the rest of his pokemon out to meet Tyrunt.
"Amaur!" Amaura pouted at Thaddeus and nudged Serena.
"Huh? Don't tell me you want to go too?"
"Really, Amaura, you want to come with me?"
"Amaura!" She nuzzled Serena and Fennekin again.
"Well, I suppose I have to be fair." Thaddeus smiled. "Try to keep her away from warm climates. She does better in the cold."
"Oui! I'll take good care of her!" Serena's eyes lit up as she and Fennekin embraced Amaura again. She took out a pokeball and tapped it to the dinosaur's head, sending her inside. After a few moments, it sparkled. "I did it! I caught Amaura!"
"Fen!"
"Two dinosaurs! This is the best day ever!" Bonnie screamed.
